My sister and I visited your store this last Saturday 9/4/21 and shopped. I found a couple of dresses and a sweater. One of the dresses did not have a price tag and Freda the lady in that department was very kind to look it up for me and give me a price. She was very kind and very helpful and another lady (I do not know her name but she is a new employee, she said) was also very kind and very pleasant and helpful. I feel that these two ladies are to be commended on their work ethics. You have some fine workers are your store and it was nicely stocked.

I hadnt shopped at JC Penney in quite some time. Ive been in several times lately and have been pleasantly surprised with the store. It seems to be well stocked and clean. The best part is the fitting rooms are open.

It was so stinkin hot in this store you couldnt even shop comfortably little alone try anything on because everything was sticking to you! & only one fitting room in this huge store i remember why I quit shopping here years ago....I had $100 gift card that Im just gunna give away because this store was nothing but frustrating.

Awesome sales going on for some fine jewelry. Excellent customer service received. One saleswoman even volunteered helpful advise about if you are buying a ring, as an example, at their online store; purchasing the jewelry *insurance at the physical location instead, is better and less problematic in the event one needs to make a claim; and it made an awful lot of sense.

My recent shopping adventure their was actually pretty good they had a great sale and a Family of 5 each person ended up walking out of there with a Complete new outfit and was all happy we saved and was available to come back the next day and purchase more 😂

I found a nice summer dress and sandals, only one register open... 😠And it was warm-ish in there.

Only had one register open and do the line was long, like 20minutes in line long. Other then that selections where good. Just wish fitting rooms would be available again.

I love going to JCPenney. There is a large selection of items in every department. The sales staff is always courteous and friendly. The store is always nice and clean. Its a large department store so keeping it clean all day is impressive in it self. The girls enjoy going shopping in the womens Department. The large variety of clothing and accessories keeps them occupied for quite awhile. The jewelry department is another favorite of ours. The diamond selection is excellent. I do however wish the amount of opal jewelry was larger. My wifes birth stone is an opal so she really likes the different pieces you can order out of their catalogue but its not the same as being able to wear it out. All in all our shopping experience in JCPenney has always been great. Keep up the good work guys.

Rudest customer service Ive ever encountered in Fort Smith. Staff is always condescending, short & put out at the slightest question. Finished our latest shopping trip at close of business on a Sunday (checked out at 6:05 due to understandably long lines). Was denied access to the mall entrance & was forced to walk around the entire building to get to my car. My disabled friend & her two young children were waiting for me to pull around & pick them up at the main entrance, but as I was driving up, I saw them going down the sidewalk. They were forced to leave the building because employees couldnt bother to wait. Infuriating & unacceptable.

I had to wait a very long time for someone to help me with a fine jewelry purchase. Customer service is a thing of the past there. Sad.

Excellent deals especially if you shop off season. You can find all clothing types for every family member and the staff is so friendly.

Clean store, good prices, found what I needed! When cashiers backed up, other coworkers made an effort to find more cashiers before custoners had an uncomfortable wait time, thanks JCPenney.

This store has many friendly associates that are knowledgeable and very helpful. They have a very wide selection of clothes in many brands and sizes. If they dont have your size, like my Jeans that are 36x36, they can order them for you. Ive been to Dillards as well and they dont stock 36x36 Levis and likewise they will order them for you but JC Pennys have much better prices. It also appeared that they have a wide selection of other clothes, both mens and womens, in many brand names and prices and all of their clothing are high quality. Because of their selection, prices and most importantly the employees, I will shop here before going to Dillards or other higher priced stores.

Ill give one star just because I did get my money back. But I ordered 5 SETS of towels online for same day pickup. What do I get? Only 5 big towels when I was supposed to get in each set 2 big bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 wash clothes. FALSE ADVERTISEMENTS AT ITS FINEST! My receipt clearly shows what was supposed to be in my order but said the 5 towels was all they were going to give me. Not that they care but I will no longer be shopping at Jcpenney! Look at my receipt and tell me you wouldnt feel the same way.

Moma got beautifuller,new shoes. ect,ect, I remember going to Penney in 1943 with my mom,she was trying to get her some nylons, she had to have a special type of stamp, nylon hose were rationed,due to the war,everything was rationed in those days. There hair salon was awesome!!! The lady that had done my hair did a great job fading and amazing job perming my hair. The lady was very very friendly and I felt very comfortable with her. She sparked conversation super fast and I felt like I’ve known her for a while! The price can be expensive to some people but the quality is top notch! Very suggested.

Went to the salon to see friends. Everything is so much different since the outbreak. But I did get what I needed.

I have not shopped Penneys for a while. Today I tried their online ordering for in-store pickup. While their website was a little glitchy, but not as bad as Walmart, the ordering process was fairly painless. I ordered my products paid online. I received a quick email verifying that my order was entered, and that they would notify me when the order was ready to be picked up. In an hour and a 1/2, I was notified that my order was ready. I proceeded to the store, and called the number that was on the curbside pickup sign The order was brought to me within 7 minutes.

Went there they only had one register open in the whole store waited in line 30 minutes before I put my stuff down and left no wonder why JC pennies is shutting down manger probably got told to cut payroll so they only had one register open in the whole Department store what a joke

Store was pretty clean, but People (shoppers) had been messy today. Not enough registers open for the crowds. Sale event right now isbuy one @ full price, get one for $.01 ....pretty good deal if you need 2 of something. Sales associate we got was very nice. Pleasant experience!

Its really sad when you cant find a register with people and when you do theres nothing about where the line is but after standing there for five minutes youre told the line is over there. I just gave the lady my clothes and told her she could keep them. Not to mention you cant go in by the salon anymore. Im done with Penneys.

Not bad

I like taking my wife there to shop for her clothes and just sit back and watch her have fun. The sales staff are friendly most of the time and helpful. They are not a cheap store so you will pay for the experience, but I also believe that you get what you pay for as well, if God has blessed you to afford it. Sometimes cheap is all that you can afford, been there as well.

They had a sale so everything we a good price but store was kinda a mess.

I am so sick and tired of the JCPenney cashier’s asking me if I want a pennies card. Every time I get asked I politely decline, but they are persistent and sometimes even rude when I decline. I would rather just buy online than have a rude and uncomfortable experience with cashiers at the Fort Smith Arkansas Jc penny.

I had ordered some clothes from the web site that I decided I didnt want. Went back to the nearest store location, hoping I could return the clothes there. The staff were excellent, kind, attentive, and very friendly. They refunded the total amount to my credit card with no hesitation. I will continue to be a Pennys customer!

This place is absolutely terrible for kids lookingfor beginning jobs. Management hardly listens to staff and actively encourage employees who keep in mind are teenagers to young adults to rip vulnerable people off by offering them discounts for applying for their credit card. A former employee who I know very well and who was very productive was recently bullied by management for a rule that no one follows and was treated like a criminal even though they had done so much for the company. Anyone considering working here every option is better and for parents considering letting their kids work here they will work them past legal curfew and will treat them with extreme disrespect.

Staff was so pleasant to deal with. Got our grandson some new clothes. Much better than other stores we had gone to.

Bought jeans on sale, very could prices staff was very helpful finding our size. Applying for JCPenney card was fast and easy. Love JCPenney.

You should fix your hours online. There was several people waiting for you to open at 11 like it says online for you guys to open the door and say you don’t open until 12.

The beauty salon is top notch the stylist are professional and very knowledgeable in todays colors styles from the teeny tiny toddler to going in with your grandmother they can handle everybody they have the master stylist that have the ones not so long out of school but theyre all causative and prepared to make a better you

Pennys use to be a nice place to shop. Seems like over the past few years cleanliness has went downhill. There is always a musty smell. I do not frequent as much as before because of this, but the clothes and sales are still just as good as they always have been.

I love Pennys however I think their everyday regular prices are a little on the high side but with their sales and in store or online cash back deals you can get things at a really good price. The quality of clothes are always very good and the store is always clean and organised well. I always seem to find my size in pants and bras without any problems which is sometimes difficult at other places. The staff was polite and friendly and I will most definitely go back to this Pennys.

Only one dressing room open and it was hot in there. And there was a line. I gave it 2 stars because the lady in charged of the Jr. Department opened her dressing room to let me use it. And it was nice and cool in there.

Curb side pickup wonderful !

Several years ago Penneys used to be a nice place to shop. Unfortunately now they have inferior merchandise and also the help is almost non-existent. They have cashiers but very few sales Associates to assist you. I can certainly understand why pennies is $4000000 in the red this year. I am disappointed that they did away with service and you are more or less on your own.
