Went here for a state inspection due to the great reviews and sooner appointment time than our usual shop. They gave us a $5300 estimate 😳 Went to our usual shop for a second opinion and not only were 4/5 things this place failed us for passed, they gave us suggestions on how to fix the 2 fails they found (1 of these issues this first place didnt even catch) for cheap, AND charged half the price for the inspection. Our bill dramatically decreased to $800!So this place failed us for things that were fine, didnt catch something that was not, AND tried to screw us out of $4500!!!! 😡

Not too quick, but very good service and answers your questions. They are very mindful of the lady customers in that care is given to explaining the issues of concern for repairs and maintenance.

Dannys will forever be my go to repair shop, I needed a water pump replaced and Dannys got the job done for a fair price and very quick. Danny was very professional and made sure I understood what was being done to my car. Chuck gave me updates on the status of my car even though I never asked. I was really blown away when I found out Dannys would drive you to and from your house while your car was being worked on. Its clear they really care about their customers.

We had some pretty extensive work done on our minivan, and the experience we had was very good. Danny took quite a bit of time to explain to us the ins and outs of what needed to be done most urgently, and what could wait. He helped us make good decisions and we never felt like he was rushing us or anything like that. What made it even a better experience was that we got a rental car for free for the entire time he had our minivan. Getting work on your car is expensive and a hassle, but Dannys Car Clinic made it about as smooth as it could be. Highly recommend.

I went to Dannys after my son had his car fixed. We were impressed with the honesty and options that Danny offered my son so I took my truck to Danny to get an issue looked at. Danny was able to research the issue, explain to me what the issue was, and fixed my issue. I had been looking for another mechanic to go to since I lost faith/trust in my previous mechanic.

We brought our high miles and unmaintained vehicle in to DANNYS CAR CLINIC on what had to be the hottest day of the summer. We had made an appointment and were seen the same day, but as life has it we were over an hour late. They still took our vehicle in and provided us with FREE, thats right FREE diagnostic check to see what the problem was with our vehicle. Were obviously stressed out finding out that the issue was being caused by the ignition system. My first thought, great were already down to one car and now its going to be a long and expensive fix to get it back on the road. Unknowingly we had come to a great place. Google reviews were right. The employees were helpful - the prices didnt leave holes in my pocket - and the best part, we got a complimentary loaner car while the work was being completed. A few days later our car was ready for pick up but we were waiting for our paycheck to clear. They let us keep the loaner car so we could get to work!!!! If all of that wasnt good enough to top it off the day we picked our car was a work day. The shop closed at 5pm but we had to work. Victoria provided us with her cell phone number and met us after hours so we could pick up our car and not have to miss any time at our jobs. Chuck at the front desk was nice but other than that I had to wait over four hours for my TMPS to be changed. They had to go pick up the part which was only four blocks away. Somehow took them two hours. Then I was told it wouldnt take more than an hour to change it. Ended up taking two hours and I was charged for those two hours of labor. Also, people who came in before me ended up leaving before me. Was told they were busy but dont know how that relates to me waiting longer unless they felt like they could charge me more for labor. Update! Was told I need to come back the next day so they could get the correct one. Also, the next day my car mysteriously had a flat tire!!!!!!! So now Im getting that fixed as well.

I recently used Dannys Car Clinic to service the brakes on my car. I was very pleased with the service and friendly staff. The receptionist was very friendly and they called me with an estimate prior to any work being done. Their mechanic, Scott even gave me a ride home after I dropped my car off which was very convenient and saved me from making other arrangements. My car was ready to go the next day and my bill was exactly what I was quoted over the phone. I will definitely use Dannys again and would recommend them to anyone. Well done Dannys!

I took in my car without an appointment and, although they appeared fairly busy, it got looked at and I had an estimate of the job (A/C related) the same day. Job was done fairly early the next day. As I have a second vehicle and driver, picking up the car was no problem, but they did ask if I would need any help picking up the car.The estimate was reasonable, and when all things were done, the cost came in a few dollars under estimate.That said, as this was my first experience at this garage, and it was somewhat limited, I cant say that this is my go-to garage yet. I will say that Im definitely going back for a second experience. I hope that Ive found a good, solid, and honest mechanic.

If you drop your car off in the morning for service they will take you to work or home so that you are not sitting and waiting. If you can not pick your car up before they close they will make arrangements for you to get your car after hours. I have recommended Dannys Car Clinic to family and friends.

These guys are fantastic. I called at 7:33 (they open at 7:30am) to see if they could repair my tire soon and they said they could right away. They have been talking with me about an oil light also, and not pressuring me into an oil change, saying thats not necessarily needed. I love that kind of gentle service. I highly recommend Dannys FitzWay. They are willing to go above and beyond to explain any problems your car may be having and provide their insight into the best next steps. When my car was in recently, Danny spent 30 minutes on the phone with me to go through the detailed diagnostic (with pictures!). He also helped me to prioritize the work that needed to be done, so that I didnt feel like everything the diagnostic mentioned was urgent and needed to be done immediately. When the fix didnt go as planned (parts malfunction, no fault of the mechanics), I was offered a loaner car and kept in the loop every step of the way, so I felt comfortable that the staff was doing everything they could to do the job right.

I went here once but had a good experience. The facility was very clean (cleanest auto place Ive ever been in), the staff friendly, very knowledgeable, and I really liked that along with the overview of my car pictures were included. I work in a dental office and we take pictures in the mouth to educate patients on what is actually happening. You must educate someone to make the right decision. Of course the cost made me want to puke, but I think thats anytime you go anywhere for auto work. Side note, my husband now has his car there. Thanks everyone who has/ is helping us

Ive only been to Dannys once so far, but I already know Ill be going back because it seems like a really good place. Everyone is professional, but friendly. Danny took a lot of time to talk to me about my messed up car and what options I have. Ive had bad mechanics in the past that just try to sell you stuff to make money. At Dannys it seems like they care about doing a good job, and working with customer needs. They actually seem to appreciate that we need our cars for our livelihoods and we are not made of many. Reaaly good family vibe here.

Friends, Do NOT go to Dannys car clinic ever. First of all, they make you pay more than double for Maryland car inspection. And they charge over $1000 to fix the problem which is couple of break pad change and some minor thing.Secondly, they have coupon on website. We presented there again with coupon only 1 business day later but they refused accepting coupon. It is their business mind. We have to let them lose their business in Frederick. I will do something else too. But Frederick people, we have much better options than Dannys car clinic. They are just money monster.

Great place, first time in a while Ive been able to leave my vehicle and trust that the work will get done right. They are always very honest and wont try to sell you anything you dont really need, its a bit more $$$ than your average shop but its very worth it when you consider the friendly atmosphere/peace of mind. I can do many basic repairs myself but when its out of my scope, I always bring my car to Dannys.

Two other mechanics could not find the reason my car was hesitating. Danny found in right away. He spent a lot of time talking to me about how far and how often I drive and whether it made sense to fix this car or buy a new one. He pointed out safety issues and issues that will become safety issues. If you need a mechanic who is great at diagnostics, Danny is your guy.

Tough Job: One of the most challenging repairs known to man is the intermittent sound indicating something is wrong but isnt consistent for the owner, or the mechanic. Danny, and Mike and their team never gave up until they found and corrected the problem. Victoria and Chuck kept me informed, and provided a loaner car through their Nextcar program for more than a week. I could not ask for a more in the face of a very frustrating problem. Dannys has serviced my vehicles domestic and foreign for many years, from oil changes to major repairs and I again they have proven they can be trusted to do the job, keep me informed, and provide the best service while saving me as much as possible. The shop is located directly across the street from the Francis Scoot Key mall. This gives you something to do while they work on your vehicle, if the work is not too extensive. They are fair and give you, pictures of everything that they may find wrong with your car. They also will give you a rental car, if your vehicle will have to stay for a long period of time, for free I might add..

I have been to Dannys Fitzway 2 times so far and I know my most recent trip wont be my last. I went in for a routine MD inspection but had a specific request to figure out what the rattling noise was that had been bothering me for years. Before I knew it, I was in my car with Danny while he drove me around so that we could identify the rattle together. We ended up back at the shop so we could BOTH take a closer look. A similar scenario happened during my first visit, which is mainly the reason why I came back. Danny had taken me into his office and explained to me the options I had, even made phone calls while I was with him to help me find the best price on parts. I cant believe how friendly and thorough the staff is and there is no better customer service in Frederick! Dannys Fitzway has a new customer for life.

They are ridiculously expensive. They seemed to be nice at first but they will charge you huge price for minor problems. They have coupon on the website but they never told me that they have coupon provided. Car inspection fee was more than $130 compared $50-60 in other car mechanics. Just worst experience since I moved to Frederick.

First, I am going to offer my opinion based on other reviews where people said that it was going to be expensive for their car to pass MD state inspection. They must have had some real issues with their cars because when I brought my used Toyota Matrix in for state inspection the only thing it needed was new wiper blades, and have corrosion removed from the battery contacts. They also recommended an alignment and oil change which I had done. Including the cost of the inspection it was

Overall it wasnt the worse experience I have had. It could have been better though. I originally took my car there for a state inspection. It failed, and I received an estimate to fix the issues to close to $1500. This was for a lower control arm, 2 bushings, replace both the serpentine belt and auxiliary belt and replace 3 jacking pads. I did all the work myself for less than $300 in parts and a few hours of my own labor. I get it, shops need to make money but when I get top quality suspension parts for less than half of what they are buying parts for from AutoZone it pisses me off the markup. Plus they bill you for what the book says they can bill you for, not how long they actually took. They wanted to charge me $177 in labor to change 2 belts in what took me 6 minutes of watching a you tube video and literally 15 minutes of my time. They wanted to charge 2 hours of labor for that. Absolutely absurd.To top it all off, when I went back there was a $25 reinspection fee. I have purchased over 20 cars and a majority of them I had to get inspected buying private and never have I ever had a re inspection fee. Plus the initial inspection was $90 (on sale too) according to them. Most place charge between $60-80 for MSI. Total for me $115. Needless to say, I wont be back.

I’ve been here 3 times. The staff is top notch and the maintenace work is on par with what one would expect at a dealership for a lower price.. i’ve always found the prices to be very fair.. and they didnt charge extra for complications encountered. When there is complications encountered they try their best to root them out. They fixed a troubling wiring issue on the emissions systems on a truck with 223,000 miles.. thats how good they are..
