Excellent service and prices! When we were running out of particular alcohol types at our reception, more was delivered and no delay in partying occurred. Definitely recommend FWH for your next event! We worked with a few different people, all were great.

Their prices as marked are not what shows up at the register. I took up three things and all three ran go up as higher than was marked. When I brought it up nobody tried to answer why that would be or what is going on.

We have been a customer of Scotts for almost 20 years, and have had nothing but great experiences. He is almost like family at this point. He takes his time and gets it all right. His store is awesome and so is he!

Good selection of beers. Only issue is getting to the store. Sits in Clemson Corner and the traffic pattern is a cluster F! Spend more time at the different red lights just to get to it.

I had to choose a martini from Pinterest. Frederick wine house was the only place that had the creme de cacao. Add some Godiva chocolate liqueur and vanilla vodka. Thank you for helping me out. The martinis were delish.

Can I give negative stars??Went into store looking for tonic water and possibly vodka. Guys behind the counter (One had air pods. In and the other looking away), asked for tonic water. Was told it was just around the corner down the bend(???). Went around the corner, down the aisle and up another aisle. Nope. Another customer was in the same aisle and she couldn’t find her product either. Guys (a-holes) behind the counter refused even the simplest customer service. I walked out saying ‘Thanks for Nothing!!’ And as I pulling out of my parking spot, the same customer I was talking to was leaving empty handed as well. She was clearly frustrated as I was. TWO LOST SALES DUE TO LACK OF SIMPLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will never step foot into that store again, even though the selection looks extensive. No customer service = No sales. Go to the liquor store by Roy’s and DQ. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and I bought more than I needed.

Was in the store on December 15, 2018 at 7pm. While in there I received the friendliest and most informative answer to one of my questions from a customer who happened to hear me ask it. The two men working were so unfriendly, unhelpful, not knowledgeable, and truly two sticks in the mud. During a time of year like this, you would think they would at least smile.I was in a great mood when I went in and even obliged when asked by the one employee to take a photo of him with a female customer. Yes, now you both know who is writing this. It is such a shame considering we spent over $100 there tonight alone. I left in a less than happy mood. Check out was meet with no smile, thank you, come see us again, nothing.My companion goes there frequently and was always so complimentary about the selections and prices. I finally had the chance to talk along and every question I asked was dryly answered, short and to the point with no real interaction and I was trying to get them to smile. We were one of two sets of people in there so they were not busy.Finally, the lighting actually almost triggered a migraine from the flickering of the LEDs which are right in your face when trying to look at the bottles. Perhaps having them in the middle of the aisles would help. We believe the shelving has been changed recently which added to the problem.I can only hope that the owner contacts me about this because I work in customer service for a Fortune 100 company and know by experience that these two should be counseled and soon before you lose customers. I wont be back in that is for sure.

This message is for the store owner and the cashier “ Kevin”I came to the store around 3:20pm to pick some wine as I always had although I live 20min far. I support small business during this pandemic and I will continue to do so.I don’t normally like to leave bad review and I have never left any bad review for any business because I’m in retail and I understand how difficult it can be sometimes.Today, Around 3:20pmI had 6 bottles of wine and my cousin had 2, total of 8.I normally spend around $150-$200 or even more at your store because of the selection you guys have.I approached the counter and the cashier said “Do you have an ID that is yours?” I was shocked and replied “ why would I haveSomeone else’s ID and that I will never have someone else’s and I was super shocked of the approach.I took out my credit card to pay for the total and I simply asked him “Wouldn’t you check an ID for credit card to make sure it is mine and he replied, if you are a theft then you’re good because you are over 18. I replied to him “ that is not how you should treat your customer and he replied “ sorry if I hurt your feeling”. And I replied “ I’m giving you guys a service and that is not how you should talk to the customers “ he replied if that is the case the I should leave because I was wearing a hat” . I asked him what is his name and he replied “Kevin” and he ignored everything else.Here is the thing .. I should never been approached the way that he did.He could had says anything such as “Did you find everything okay?” Or simple as hello.You guys need to treat your customers with respect especially when we are supporting your business.

Drove an hour and a half to meet friends for dinner. After dinner, we poked our head into a wine shop. The people were super nice and even let us taste the fancy gins they had open. Dropped about $100 on some craft cider and yummy gins.The next morning, I realized I didnt have my wallet anymore. I called the wine shop and they had it. Drove all the way back out to get it. My partner asked if everything was in it, I hadnt even checked.You guys, not only was everything there.. But the added $20 and left this note. I WAS CRYING. WHO DOES THIS ANYMORE?

I live within walking distance of two pretty good wine/beer/liquor stores. But Frederick Wine House is worth the drive. They always have a good selection of beer and higher-end liquor. The staff have always been really helpful and willing to check inventory when something is out of stock on the floor.

Normally A great spot. However, it irks my soul when you close earlier than your stated operating hours. Not very good business practice.

This is my favorite store to buy alcohol in Frederick. Frederick Wine House has an excellent selection of liquors, wines, and beers. The store is well organized and reasonably priced. I enjoy their tastings they offer.

I just needed the basics for the usual drinks, and I easily found what I needed.

Usually this is one of my go to places for any beer or wine needs. Not sure if the mgr was having a bad day or not but his interaction was unbelievably rude. I asked for a price for a case of Guinness (were shopping for beer for our wedding reception). Instead of giving me an upfront answer he hit me with a barrage of questions and tried to belittle me offhandedly in public. It was offputting to say the least. If that was not his intent then all the more reason of why I felt so uncomfortable.Some advice would be to have them put up their sale tags so customers can see the available prices and avoid unnecessary conversation with disgruntled employees.

Treat your customers with respect. Do not discriminate.

This place receives zero stars except I had to give it one star to post this review. ! My husband and I were given a gift certificate of $75.00 as a wedding gift some time ago. We shopped and had $15.00 and some change left on the card. At the time, we asked if the card would expire and we were told no. We just went into the store yesterday where I gave the man behind the counter the card asking exactly how much was left on the card. He said no money was left on the card. I said that is impossible. A middle aged woman came over asking what was going on... I told her. She said that if there was money on the card after our last purchase that it would still be on the card. Essentially calling me and my husband a liar. We were not impressed when we originally shopped which is probably why we had not gone back for some time. My suggestion is to go ahead and drive a piece to Total Wine. They have wine tastings all day and have an incredible sense of customer service not to mention the prices are out of this world. STAY AWAY FROM FREDERICK WINE HOUSE!

Terrible store- besides being overpriced the service lately has gotten worse. I always have to wait at the counter for a few minutes before one of the employees realizes there are people waiting to check out. Only went because it was close to wegmans but after being rudely treated by a man at the check out today I will not be returning. There are many better stores with nicer staff in Frederick to choose from.

I have often shopped here but will do so no longer. Today, I was treated rudely by an enraged employee, possibly the manager, when I questioned the price of wine at the register.The selection was clear and unambiguously labelled at $19.99 on the shelf. I was not upset when it rang up at $26, but said oh, I thought it was $20 and pointed to the shelf behind me. There were dozens of wines in stock above a sticker for $19.99. He curtly replied that the label was incorrect and the price was $26. I calmly asked if he would honor the price on the shelf, which seemed reasonable to me, but he was disproportionately offended by this question.He snapped at me and said that someone had moved the sticker and that the wine was $26. I had no problem paying full price, which I did, but I asked him why he was so angry. He said he was angry because he dealt with this all the time. It was extremely unusual behavior.This makes no sense. I seriously doubt any customer is walking around with a sharpie adjusting prices so that they can save $6 on wine. An employee mis-shelved or mislabeled the product. At a minimum he should apologize and smile and charge full price. A decent person would take responsibility for the mistake and honor the price that was advertised. A poor businessman and rude person would berate a customer for questioning the price of a mislabeled product.I regret ever giving them my business and wont miss shopping there. It is convenient to Wegmans, but the wine selection is mediocre and the beer is over priced compared to other local vendors. There are better places to patronize with respectable customer service.
