I had the milkshake. It was light, creamy, and delicious. Located in a beautiful park, with water sprays in a creek filled with various fish. Very serene atmosphere. Family friendly with several other eateries and restaurants also located in the park. I recommend this place for any ice cream or sweets lover. If your dieting only go on cheat day. ❤
Ice cream was delicious but pricing made no sense. I paid $4.00 for a cup with one little scoop. My husband had a milkshake made with 4 generous scoops for only $2.00 more.
Great place to stop on the creek for some fresh, homemade ice cream! With 24 flavors constantly changing every week, there’s always plenty of options. They also have slushees, milkshakes, chocolate truffles, hot coffee beverages, fancy pretzels, tea & lemonade, and cold brew coffee! Besides ice cream, there’s also a wide selection of chocolates, fudge, sweets, cookies and cookies. For the little ones, they’re always adding and bringing in new plush pets and animals. I personally recommend the sweeties signature shake! It’s a large milkshake with a scoop of ice cream on top, whipped cream, sprinkles/chocolate syrup, and a fancy lollipop straw! During the summer, you can smell the delicious homemade waffle cones from miles down the creek.
Had the double dunker on a waffle cone yesterday evening! Great flavor. Will be back
A cute ice cream and chocolate shop that is right along the Carroll Creek Canal walkway!
The reason i had went to sweeties was because of the tik toker “Bryan Johnston.” I went there in hope to meet him. I got some very good ice cream and got a picture with him and it was a overall good experience!
I have always been. Fan of home made ice cream and this place does not fail to impress. Love where it is located. I recently found out this part of Frederick and it is amazing to sit by the waterside and dig into some fresh flavors of ice cream to beat the summer heat. I tried the Dutch chocolate, southern peach and peanut butter and resses. Liked each one of them.
Stopped in for some ice cream on Saturday night. The owner treated my daughter, my dog and I very special!! Would definitely recommend this place!
Excellent ice cream and staff was polite and friendly
Ice cream was tasty. Our sever was working alone, but was still patient and friendly.
Love this place!!! Does anybody know what brand of chocolate ice cream they use?
The ice cream was below average, but there was a worker there named Helen. She offered amazing service and made up for the fact that the ice cream was mediocre at best. I would highly recommend asking if Helen is working that day and go when she is.
Don’t hold them to their menu. They only have the 15 basic flavors that you can find at any other ice cream shop. Disappointed.
This place is impressively bad. Outside there is a sign asking you to wear a mask before entering. However I walk in and the guy behind the counter is not wearing one. Okay. I ordered a small ice cream cone. Then guy then sticks his entire head under the glass so his face is inches from the ice cream (I should mention he wasnt wearing a hair net either). He struggled for minutes trying to scoop the ice cream and put it on the cone. He eventually gave up and told me he was going to put it in a cup. After putting it in the cup he placed the cone upside down over the ice cream (oh the ingenuity). He rings me up at the counter on an ipad and the screen asked me to sign. I had to sign with my finger and asked if they had any hand sanitizer. Of course they didnt... and it was obvious they never disinfect the screen. When I went to eat the ice cream I saw why he struggled so much scooping it. It was nearly solid. They must have been having trouble with the temperatures and let the ice cream melt. Then in another stroke of genius, they must have fixed the problem by turning the temperature down freezing the ice cream into a solid block of ice. I had to throw it away. If you want good ice cream go to the pop shop on market or if its the weekend go to Frederick fudge and ice cream on East Church st. Dont waste your money (and possibly your health) here.
There key lime pie ice cream is good, it even had bits of pie crust in it, I recommend this place if you love good homemade ice cream.
The staff that was working when I went there didnt greet anyone who came in, just stood there waiting for us to tell them our order. Great flavors.
Not sure who was behind the counter on March 23, 2019 at 2 pm but he rocked my world!Personable, humorous and professional. Great visit!
I like to try small, homemade ice cream places and unique flavors. The blueberry cookies and cream was just right with more of a hint of blueberry so as to not overwhelm the chocolate with too much sweet, fruity flavor. Unfortunately it was rather full of icy crystals that detracted from the creamy, homemade goodness. I ordered a small in a sugar cone and it was enormous with 2 large scoops on top for a reasonable price so I guess it made up for the ice crystals. I would go there again as the setting by the beautifully landscaped creek and bridges makes for a nice, cool place to relax.
Closed at 8pm.....wrong.....try 640pm. This isnt the first time weve gone and the shop is closed prior to the hours listed.
Its not a bad place. A simple cute ice cream shop with candies and fudge.
Nice selection
Ice cream is just ok, but I do like that theyre a local independent shop.
Love the decor around its so cute and the ice cream is so good
Ice cream with very good!
Ben was super helpful!
Someone needs to teach a serve safe class at this location. The nice young man that was scooping icecream picked up the cone with his bare hand and then proceeded to scoop icecream with his gloved hand. He handed over the cone, and took payment for the the icecream. Taking care not to touch the money with his gloved hand. Without washing his hands he grabbed the next cone with his bare hand and scooped the next customer. After seeing that I could not order anything. I came to the conclusion that the glove was to keep his hand from getting sticky while scooping and had little to do with food safety. If you are only going to staff one person then you need to invest in more single use gloves and teach the staff how to properly use them. Otherwise you need to have 2 people working at all times. One to scoop with 2 gloves on. And one to handle money.
Great service and very good ice cream! The employees were very nice and had a great selection of merchandise.
I had the chocolate marshmallow ice cream and it was great! I appreciate that it’s all home made and friendly staff
Not that great to be honest. Stale cone and very bland chocolate icecream.
I would give this place 0 stars if possible. My daughter got a pricey small scoop of ice cream, my son opted for a giant whoopie pie. When we were on our was home he opened it there was a VERY rancid smell coming from it. I told him not to eat it. When I took at look at it I noticed green mold growing all over it. Needless to say we were out our $4 and change for it, and my son was bummed because he didnt get to enjoy his dessert. Stopped on the way home at 7-11 for a $2 ice cream bar. He was happy, it wasnt spoiled, and it was cheap. Needless to say this is our first and last trip here!
Great place for a stroll
