This place is great. If you are in the market for a motorcycle in Maryland, go there. The drive is worth it. I came from about 80 miles away to buy a bike from them, and I was not disappointed.I was in the market for an upgrade to my old 1990s Yamaha. Being 2020, I did a lot of shopping on line. I visited almost every dealers website in Maryland. Most have options ask questions, get quotes, value a trade, etc. or they have an e-mail. None of them respond to these things, or you had to e-mail (or fill out a form) 3 or four times, same with phone calls. If you did get in touch with them you would find out that their websites were very out of date. Literally, today there are bikes on some of these guys websites that were not available (sold) more than a month ago.Primo was totally different, I e-mailed just to ask if the website was accurate, in less than 2 hours I got a response and a confirmation that they wouldnt waste your time by put something on the web if it wasnt available (thank you). I emailed with them asking questions and the like for three weeks before I could finally make my way up there. Every time, I got a prompt response and a straight answer. The bikes are clear and there isnt a lot of pressure. Ive been to dealers where they clearly want you to buy a bike you dont want or they try to up-sell you. At Primo, Ben genuinely seemed interested in you getting the right bike for you. Ive been to dealers who wont let you test ride bikes. Primo recommended I ride several (and the because of the test ride I chose a different bike than I would otherwise.) And they even changed the oil for me before I left with the new bike.I got a fair price, a fair trade, I didnt get yanked around or bait and switched. They are super nice and helpful. They are by far the best used motorcycle dealer in Maryland. From my standpoint, Frederick and Primo are worth the drive, or at least an e-mail. Id tell anyone, Primo is the place to go.

I had an amazing experience buying from Primo. Ben is so helpful and forth coming. Not pushy, fair and very knowledgeable. He helped me with the financing piece so that all I had to do was show up to the bank, sign, grab the check and go to Primo. Just bought a Honda CBR250R here a week ago and the entire process couldn’t have been easier! Ben delivered the bike right to my house serviced and ready to ride! He also took a few minutes to show me everything on the bike which was particularly helpful as a new rider. Would definitely recommend the place to new and experienced riders alike!Quick update: Upon further inspection of the bike at home, I discovered that the tires had a few signs of dry rot despite having plenty of tread left. I was pretty upset considering I had just purchased the bike and would already need to put money back into it. Im very pleased with the overall experience with Primo. I contacted Ben first via email, to which I received prompt (after business hours), courteous replies. I let him know when I was coming to the shop, and he had the machine I was interested in, up front, fully fueled, and freshly washed. He is a very personable, knowledgeable guy. Hes very fun to talk to. After a quick test ride, I was sold. Back at the shop, there was no pressure whatsoever, we just worked out our deal and finished it with a handshake. No normal dealer BS.I also want to add that Primo keeps a good selection of used bikes, all of which appear to be tip top. Do your own research on pricing. Ben has low mileage, gently used bikes, and he sells them at fair prices. I didnt even try to haggle on my bike. When time arises for me to get another motorcycle, Primo will be my first stop!

Love this shop. Back in the old days, a good business was measured based on customer value, product quality, and strategic decision making for the long term. Now there are too many fly by night operations seeking short term profits at the expense of long term viability. That’s not the case with Primo. Far from it.It’s clear that the owner of Primo isn’t trying to make a nickel between now and next Tuesday. Instead Primo does things right, no aggressive sales tactics, patient answering questions, treats you like a customer, and keeps their word. They welcome you into the shop and encourage you to sit on and test drive bikes.It was clear that Primo makes sure all the bikes they sell hit a high quality standard far exceeding what you generally find in the used motorcycle market. In other words, the business stresses bike reliability and safety before even considering letting the bikes hit the sales floor. You might find a marginally cheaper bike from a private seller, but those machines have rarely had the Primo treatment before hitting the sales page. Simply put, your going to ride out of Primo with a turn key motorcycle without having to make a substantial investment in repairs or catch up maintenance.I purchased a Harley from Primo recently, and I would do it again without hesitation. This is a great place to buy a motorcycle. Ben and Virginia are enthusiasts themselves and very easy to work with. They carry a wide variety of motorcycles in just about every category at reasonable prices. All tag and title work is done onsite so you leave with a new metal plate. Ill be back when it comes time to buy another.

These guys are excellent. I know it takes a lot of faith to send this amount of money to people you have never met in a city youve never been to. But they are really excellent people to do business with because they are the best of both worlds- young people, but Old School, (if you know what I mean). His inventory is great, all bikes were priced very well and I’m very good condition. You can tell he doesn’t buy and sell anything rough. Me and my friend both went there and both walked out with bikes. 2016 Honda Shadow and a 2011 Yamaha fz8 for around $5000 a piece. He even threw in a very nice helmet with it for me since he knew it was my first bike and I didn’t have one. 2 sets of keys and a warranty that’ll even cover a blinker bulb! Only 5-10% down you can’t beat that. I’ll recommend this place over and over again to anybody looking for a bike. Do yourself a favor and check them out!!

I just recently bought a triumph street triple r from primo motorcycles. I’m a new rider and the owner Ben was very helpful and patient with all the questions I had. He spent the the to talk to me about bikes in general and had me sit on several different ones to see what I felt comfortable on. The whole time I was there i didn’t feel pressured to leave with a motorcycle. All the prices you see in his shop are reasonable and straight forward, there are no hidden fees. He takes care of your tags right then and there so no MVA hassle. He will also tow the bike to your home if your local. Being a new rider this was super helpful for me. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a used bike a dealership will stand by. Everything there is in great condition. I will be back again.

Nothing but great things to say about Primo. Ive never owned a motorcycle before, nor do I have any riding experience, and Ben helped me pick out the perfect bike, took care of all the paperwork, and delivered the bike to my house, as well as answered any and all questions I had along the way. Not to mention Primo has a wide variety of bikes, all at great prices. I will definitely be recommending Primo to anyone looking to buy their first/next motorcycle.

This review is long overdue. Ben is a great guy to work with. Hes extremely friendly and knowledgable of what his customers want and need to know.Im a new rider and this is my first bike. I saw a bike I was interested in listed on their site, called him up, and stopped by his shop in the evening, before they officially opened this spring. While I had an idea of what I wanted, Ben showed me around his entire inventory and had me try out several types of bikes to see what I felt comfortable with, explained the differences between several makes and models, and offered lots of advice as well. I felt very comfortable just talking to him, and never felt like he was trying to push a sale on me. It was getting late by the time we finished talking, and I just enjoyed the experience, so I decided I was going to buy from him. He even offered to deliver the bike to my house so I wouldnt feel intimidated with immediately riding it 30 miles down the highway, at no charge!

Contacted them on their website by e-mail to get an inspection done for my registration. Ben was very personable and communicative. He told me exactly what needed to be done and worked with me even though my schedule was crazy this week. Saturday (8/4) I went in for the first inspection and then Friday (8/10) went in for the second. Super nice. Has a nice selection of bikes too. If I didnt have my Buell I would have bought one of his Yamahas. Thank you Primo Motorcycles.

Recently bought a 2014 Triumph Daytona 675R and I couldnt be happier with the service. No fees, no weird sales tactics. Staff was friendly and you can tell they all love riding. Surprisingly big inventory as well.

From my first email inquiry Ben has been an outstanding guy to speak with. Im sure I annoyed him when I had to reschedule our first few meetings for me to check out the bike but his replies never showed it. When I finally met with him, he was a very down-to-earth guy who I enjoyed hearing about his motorcycle adventures. Its clear he really knows his stuff when it comes to bikes. I got a great price on my 2015 FZ-07 and even followed up with me a little while later to see if I was still satisfied. I was grateful for this because 1) it shows great customer service and 2) he saved me from making a second trip to the DMV that would have been unnecessary by sending me corrected paperwork to register my bike.To be honest, if I could, I would take off half a star because I got a much lower offer for the CB500F I traded in than I was hoping even though (to me) the issues with the bike seemed mostly cosmetic.TL;DR: Ben is a great guy, who sells quality bikes. I would definitely recommend his business.

Only reason they dont get 5 stars is I have a isue with the harley I bought a week ago and only a couple hundred miles into ownership it started running rough. I called Ben he was verbally helpfull but more or less told me sorry about my luck I know I bought it as is. but he also says he stands behind what he sells and his bikes are ready to ride .I would recommend them to others but just make sure you take it for a long ride witch is difficult to do in the city. So now I have to take it to a shop after only owning a week.service before the sale is 5 stars but after not so great.

They were amazing. they are very knowledgeble of cycles and easy on people that are getting back into riding. there was no pressure on buying a motorcycle. i compared bikes from other dealers and reviewed the internet and the are very competative on price. they have the frederick home feel. i felt very comfortable on making my decision. they went over and above. they went over the bike one last time and delivered it to my house. i would highly recomend buying a motorcycle from them. i have not own my own bike for a really long time and i am highly satisfied, they also have a great selection for all kind of riders.

NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. BOUGHT 2 BIKES IN A YR AND A HALF. BOUGHT A 06 CBR 600 AND A PW50 FOR MY LITTLE BOY. I LOVE SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESSES LIKE THIS ONE. THESE GUYS HAVE NICE, CLEAN STUFF & THEYVE BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG TIME. I HAD A MINOR ISSUE WITH A FUNKY CHAIN SOUND, AND THEY ACTUALLY EXPLAINED HOW CHAINS ON DIRT BIKES DONT HAVE AN ORING CHAIN LIKE MOST STREET BIKES HAVE AND THEY MAKE MORE NOISE. JUST TO EASE MY CONCERNS THEY INSTALLED AN UPGRADED ORING CHAIN (FOR THE DIRT BIKE) AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE NEAR SILENT. SO GREAT EXPLAINATION GUYS, AND THANKS FOR THE HELP. SORRY FOR BEING WEIRD ABOUT THE CHIAN. MY FAULT. ILL BE BACK ONCE MY BOY GROWS OUT OF THE 50!

So I see a bike Im interested in on Craigslist at what looks to be a fair price on a Tuesday at 9:30 PM and think although its a bit late, Ill give the number a call. To my surprise, Ben the owner, answers and gives me info on the bike and says to come by to take a look when I can. The next day I call at 6:30 pm and surprise, Ben answers again. No please leave a message, or we are closed crappola. I tell him I would like to see bike but cant get there till 8 PM that night. No problem he says come over Ill wait for you. Get there, bike outside, clean and ready to ride. Ben says take it out and come back when want. Ride for 30 minutes and when return its dark outside. Unusual for a shop to allow this but they are very accommodating. Tell Ben Im interested but need to think on it. Next morning text Ben that want to buy the Bike.Again Ben responds very quickly and we have a lot of texting back and forth. Im really impressed that when I text, a return response is right away. I indicate that I would like to get the bike that day and want them to get Maryland inspection and do tag and title work. Although its getting late in the day at this point, Ben says he can get it done. He contacts me later that evening and says the bike is ready. When I tell him I cant get there until 9 PM he says not an issue and he will stay open until I arrive.When I show up to finish the transaction, all the paperwork has been completed except for my signatures, bike is prepped, clean and ready to roll. There is no fumbling around - totally organized. Ben provides the keys and owners manuals and explains when permanent tag and title will arrive and follows up the next day with an E-mail PDF copy of all the official documents.Primo was fair on the bike price, very efficient, and responsive to the customer. I highly recommend them.

This place is a scam, they wont let you test ride even with cash in hand. Claim they dont carry insurance for that kind of thing. Salesman tried to tell me no need for a test ride they have a warranty! Guess what? No written warranty. Its a handshake agreement, he claims its to prevent people from scamming him. Someone may disagree but usually its the consumer getting scammed. Other than that bit of nonsense the same salesman seemed to know very little of his own product. Id say stay away if your a first time buyer, but if you know what you want and can fix up your own stuff take cash get the price down and dont expect anything from them once youve left the parking lot.
