I took my car to Maaco in Fredericksburg, I recieved an estimate for pulling out one dent out of quarter panel, and spraying it. I was told it’ll be ready in a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks later I call and got no answer literally for like 3 straight days. They’re closed on weekends Which is my only free time. The following week I finally got someone on the phone and again I was told a couple of weeks. I kid you not two more weeks go by. Still no word from Maaco, so I attempt to call again still no answer my coworker said man let me call, and what do you know? They answer!!! My coworker says yea man I’m calling about a car y’all have up there..... Maaco tells my coworker they’ve been trying to contact me and I haven’t been answering😡... then I get on the phone and I’m told that my car needs 4 doors before they can do anything to it! I was told it’ll be ready in two weeks, instead 2 months later I’m told I need new doors... went to pick up car since they can’t do it but still was charged $1,770.80 for an incomplete car!!!

I would NOT recommend Maaco (Fredericksburg,Va) to anyone. The customer service was awful. I dropped my car off on a Monday, August 3 at 9 am. I was told the job would take a week. When I asked for clarity (Friday or the following Monday) is was told The following Monday. On August 10, I did not receive a call about my vehicle, so I called and left a message. On Tuesday my call was returned and I was told my vehicle would be ready on Wednesday by COB. On Wednesday at 4 (no call received) I went by the shop. I was walked back to my car and the Manager Jeff, told me the car “should” be painted and done by Friday.This was an issue as my car needed to be inspected and have other work done. Jeff even promised to have the auto shop across the street to inspect the vehicle and potentially do the work at a discount for my trouble. He also offered to $100 off the paint job. I called on Thursday to ensure we were on schedule to have my vehicle returned on Friday by COB. I asked to have the owner to contact me. He said he would try. Friday...no call. I did not get my vehicle back until Saturday. I’m still waiting for the call from the owner of the shop. The paint looks nice; however, the level of customer service received at this shop was horrible.

Came here to get body work done and the entire car repainted. They were amazing. The work was top quality, the paint was great, and the price was way better than you are gonna find anywhere else. Go there and they will definitely take care of you.

I hired Macco of Fredericksburg, VA to paint my Toyota Tacoma back to it’s original state. Mind you, the color had never been changed. Also I did not request or require any body work to be done, and there was none done. I just simply wanted the truck painted. This process took them from May 25, 2020 to September 2, 2020 to complete. I paid $2140.** for this service. I never bothered or nagged then about their progress even though I knew it was taking them an excessive amount of time, compared to the one week estimate they gave me during the quote. I did that because I didn’t want them to feel rushed. I was called to come and do a walk around of the truck because they were finished with it. This was approximately a month and and half after they received the truck. When I arrived, before I got out of my car, I could already see that my bug shield for the hood was not on and that the fender flares were loose and also I could see some runs in the paint. I approach the truck and noticed several other mistakes. My point of contact did a supervised walk around and noted the imperfections that I reported for repair. It took Macco an additional month and a half to complete the job. At that point, I was just happy to get my truck back. However, I was happier with the job they had done the second time around. That was until I got home and noticed after lifting the hood that the grill and front bumper were loose due to several missing clips and broken clip mounts. In the middle of all this chaos, I did place a call to their customer service line. I expressed my concerns with my experience thus far with customer service representative for Macco who told me that they would have the owner of the location follow up with me personal. That never happened. I was never contacted by the owner or anyone else in the Macco company to talk about my experience or issues. To add insult to injury, I had a 20 dollar go pro clone dash camera in my middle console that went missing while the truck was being serviced by the Fredericksburg, VA Macco location. It was the only item I had left in the truck. I didn’t bother to say anything because my previous concerns to customer service yielded no results. Ultimately, I would not recommend or use the Macco service again based on my experience.

The staff was very professional. They did an amazing job with my car. I left something in my truck and they were more than happy to let me get it out even though they had to pull the tape off. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to go to Maaco to get a paint job done.

Scam artists.I came here for a quick quote to have some excess touch up paint buffed out....They ended up telling me that I need to have that area repainted, as well as the quarter panels repainted so it could “match” and quoted me $800.Then I went to the dealership and they BUFFED IT OUT FOR FREE.Judging from their reviews they do HORRID work and also teach their employees to be crooks.

We had our son truck painted a couple of years ago, the paint job was great!!! The top luggage rack wasn’t sealed after the paint job and each time taking the vehicle through the car wash it would leak inside of the truck leaving a blue foam ring. I brought the truck back to Maaco, Mr. Jay with no hesitation took care of the problem and discovered another issue and made that repair!!!Excellent customer services and prompt attention to customer complaints.Highly recommended.

I recently got my front bumper redone they did a great job no or orange peel or anything like that solid job thank you Maaco.

Poor customer service, took forever get my vehicle back. After it I finally received it, my truck was covered in orange peel and dry spots. They painted parts of my vehicle that werent even supposed to get painted. Made them re-spray my car and still didnt come out the greatest. This place really lives up to their name. Youre better off going somewhere else. Especially for the price.

Jay was a pleasure to work with! I have a old full size bronco restored by them and they did one heck of a job. Everyone always complimented the paint on it. Heck they even let me come in on Saturdays or weekdays when I had off to do some of the mechanical work on it. In fact I am going to have them repaint my F250 when it comes time for that.

Friendly, honest and fast, does a great job. Ive gone to Jay for several years and am always fully satisfied. This last time he even saved us $300 from the estimate. He could have used a part he had in the estimate, but found out when the car was in repair that it wasnt needed. He could have installed it and we wouldnt have known the difference, but he didnt. Thats an honest business person.

I’m a 25 year veteran auto painter. I took my daughters 4 door Honda Accord here to have it painted. I would have normally done it myself but just made a career change and didn’t have anywhere to spray it at. I gotta say I’m impressed with the job and how it turned out. Maaco in Fredericksburg va will see me again and I would recommend this shop to anyone. Job well done

I was rear ended in a Sienna in July. Chose Maaco only because Im a single working Mom and they are open on Saturdays. Local rental car driver told me they don t have many customers for Maaco. Maaco kept asking me how they were getting paid which irritated me. At fault party insurance came out and gave them an estimate and they charged every penny of it. Got my car back and they said they replaced the tailgate but used my original back glass. I waited forever for my car. The back glass molding job they did is pitiful. They also had to take out my rear seats and the day i got my car back the metal bar in the back of the rear seats just fell off. Yep! They broke it and hung it back on to try and cover their error. Same one guy always answers phone or goes to voice mail. I will never go back there again!

The car looks better than it did before but there is orange peel on it. For $1400 I expected a little better. The associate that helped me wasnt very knowledgeable at all. He wasnt even going to give me my warranty information until I asked for it.They took 8 days to paint my car, so if you do go here, be prepared for an excruciatingly long wait. When I called for the total price of my estimate the associate said he would call back and never did.Also, when I specifically told him I wanted to pay by Maaco credit card, he asked me to put down half. I looked at him puzzled and asked what about the card and then he said “Oh you want to put everything on the card?”He did not even explain to me that stripping of the hood, roof and deck lid was not a requirement, only that Maaco wouldn’t warranty it. But if you’re trying to save money on an old car, that would have been very useful information. I do not recommend ever going to this location.

Received written estimate 11/15/16. Was told estimates are valid for 30 days. Wanted to schedule the work. Called and left voicemail early December. No reply. Called and spoke with someone about scheduling on 12/12. He said the estimate we had was no longer valid as it was a Black Friday Special and that he had 2 estimates on file for us - one that was the price we had on our estimate and one that was higher. He said the higher price was the cost we would pay and said I could pay that or come back in for another estimate. I said no thank you. Mentioned this to my husband, who called and left a simple voicemail with his name and number, a few days later. We never received a call back.

Maaco did a great job repairing hangar rash damage to the side mirror on my vehicle. The office staff were polite and very helpful. I will return if I need something else done.

Great experience !! Took my 1991 Toyota Camry to Maaco to have painted. The whole car was very faded but did not have any rust. The car looked so bad my kids would not ride with me. The good people at Maaco brought new life to that car. Had the whole car painted back to original color. I also had side mirrors and front and back bumper painted back black like they were suppose to be. It has been close to a year now and the paint looks as good now as it did the day I picked it up. Im very happy with the service I received from Maaco and would use the again,

I experienced a car accident while driving through Fredericksburg, VA (11 hours from home!) and my car was towed to Maaco Collision and Repair. The staff (namely Alex K.) were so amazing to work with. Alex handled everything - from coordinating the delivery of my car, to scheduling the appointment for the claims adjuster, to keeping me updated on the progress of my claim and ultimately shipping all my personal items to my home in Michigan. Unfortunately, my car was totaled by the insurance company and even though I wasnt considered a customer at that point, I still continued to receive the best customer service from Alex. He went above and beyond to make sure I received all my personal items - which could be seen as a huge inconvenience since I lived in Michigan. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have nothing but high praise for this organization and their employees. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
