I had my worst-ever retail experience with Sleep Number. Sorry the review is so long. My experience was longer!Let me start with the one positive: Dominique did a good job explaining things and taking our order, and helping me at the end of this story.I bought 3 sleep number beds last month, replacing all our beds.On the day of delivery, well into the 4 hour delivery window, I got a call from the company telling me the beds werent coming. For another 19 days! Thanks for the early notification!This was a serious problem, because I had given away the beds and had company coming. So I put the bed platforms up against the wall, borrowed inflatable beds, and thats how everyone slept. See the picture.I called customer service 3 TIMES over the next two weeks. Each time a recording said they would call back the same day. No return calls!I called Seth, the store manager and he said he would look into things and call me back that afternoon. Only after another visit to the store did he call me back, a week later. He told me to call customer service.Nineteen days later, the beds finally got delivered.Then the Sleep Number app wouldnt work for me - the email in their system was wrong. To address the problem I had to call Customer Service. Once again, to no avail.A third visit to the store, and help from Dominique, finally got me a call back from customer service, and the app problem was fixed.This is my first one-star review ever. And my last Sleep Number purchase!
Bought a recliner and loveseat a month ago, it was delivered on two separate dates and both times were the wrong color. It is near impossible to get the actual store on the phone. Poorest c utomer service EVER

What needed to be explained was explained, the prices are indeed high though.The CEO’s in charge of the company need to start throwing in a head board for every customer who purchase a sleep number bed or the least cut the price down considerably down for the head board
This was my first time at a sleep number store. We worked with a guy named Tyler. He was very professional and walked us through the whole process. Spent about 1.5 hours there. The store was clean and ready to try. They had a good selection and we will be back tomorrow to buy our bed. We are going with the i8 360. They have a great Memorial day sale still going on till June 7th so check them out. The rest of the staff was very nice and accommodating. They allowed us to work with tablets and left us alone so we didnt feel pressured. It was a great experience.
Our representative was very polite and knowledgeable. He did not pressure us towards buying a higher priced bed. He was genuinely interested in our getting the bed that was right for us! Excellent experience. We cant wait to sleep in our new bed.

I bought a memory foam topper for my 10-year old Sleep Number bed. I was having trouble sleeping because of back pain. The first night on the topper I slept much better and awakened with less back pain and felt more energetic. The sales person in the Fredericksburg, VA Sleep Number store was very helpful. He looked up our account and made sure we were ordering the correct topper size for both the mattress and sheets. The topper arrived on time via UPS. Overall this was a very pleasant buying experience, with excellent service, and value. I actually look forward to sleeping now.
What I appreciated the most is we were not pressured into buying a bed. We were shown what was available, and encouraged to test each feature so we could make an informed decision of which options were best for us.
The sales associate, Adam, was very pleasant. He was not pushy. He walked me through the pressure point test where I laid down and it showed the before and after pressure point, which was very informative. Adam explained the different types of bed and bases. Adam is very personable. We struck up personal conversation which made me very comfortable. I would recommend the Fredericksburg location to have Adam as the sales associate.

The people that work there are very nice, had great experience, loved trying out all the different beds.The person who helped us was very knowledgeable of the products and pricing.The only complaint I have is that we didnt get to find out our sleep numbers using the bed with the monitor to see pressure points to get an accurate sleep number. Other than that our experience was great.

Adam was a dream to work wit at Sleep Number Fredericksburg VA. He is stellar at customer service and product knowledge. and I made a purchase. HOWEVER I had called the store 3 days, several times each day. I left message and phone number NO ONE CALLED BACK. I even called your 800 number and asked if the store was open, they tried calling to know avail.Adam was off those days and showed real concern about no one returning my calls. I had a new job, moved to a new town and missed a Memorial Day sale. I paid $600 more because I had know Idea if they were open and I had to drive 35 miles to see if they were open. WHAT A HASSLE> The manager should receive coaching or the door. I am waiting on my bed that Should have been delivered by now, thanks for keeping me on a footon losers.
We did our research, we polled our friends, we searched far and wide. Kept coming back to the Sleep number. When we arrived we met our Sales Rep, Adam. Cant say enough about Adam, great sales rep! He was very knowledgable on what Sleep Number had to offer. He listened to what we were looking for (and more importantly) why we were looking for it. This steered him towards a few different suggestions before we decided on our dream bed. We are so looking forward to it!To dispel some concerns I know I arrived with, there wasnt a moment of high pressure sales put to us. Very relaxed and low pressure. He gave us all the time we required to play with the demonstration bed. Answered all questions and didnt push push push anything we werent interested in.Would recommend the Fredericksburg Sleep Number to everyone. Sales staff are phenomenal !
We were greeted immediately upon coming in to the store by Seth. He asked us what our desires were in purchasing a Sleep Number mattress, what we currently had, and what issues we were trying to solve. He was very knowledgeable, polite, and patient.He invited us to find our sleep numbers on the IndividualFit setup. He talked us through what the computer was analyzing and how it could help us. From there we went to discuss different bed options, features, and deals currently going on.He was very patient, understanding, and never pushed us toward any one product. He was open and honest when evaluating differences and allowed us to come to a decision. Additionally, another sales rep assisted the kids in finding their sleep number while we finalized the sale.I would highly recommend Seth to anyone visiting the store!
Colin was our sales associate and he was awesome! Very informative and helpful, not to mention he was understanding of our crazy 2 year old daughter running around the store while we were trying to get things done! I would (and have already) recommend this store and sleep number to our friends.

I came into the store where I was greeted by a woman named Kimberly. At first she seemed nice but soon after it seemed like she was more interested in speaking than listening to me. She was more interested in selling me what she wanted me to buy than what I actually needed. The more I tried to talk the more she tried to talk over me. Very rude. Will not be coming back.
Weve purchased items from Sleep Number for years, to include a bed for our grandmother years ago along with sheets, pillows, and more for ourselves. We went into the Sleep Number last week to purchase sheets for our split king bed, because we loved our previous King sheets wed purchased at Sleep Number. Jessica greeted us when we walked in and when we told her we wanted to look at sheets, she seemed put off that we werent in to shop a mattress. When we inquired about sales prices, she couldnt lose her attitude when she informed us that she didnt know prices off the top of her head (umm okay, go do your job and look it up then)... She continued to have a poor attitude when she pulled up our account and saw that we had multiple names under our account (both mine and my husbands names a couple of times as well as our grandmother). She scoffed at us that there were so many accounts and basically asked us why that would be. We have no idea, we dont work for Sleep Number, were not the ones entering the information into their systems. Weve purchased multiple things for different people and thats just how a Sleep Number employee entered it. At one point I said they must all be under the same account because of all of the purchases being made within our family and she cut me off to say theyre NOT the same account. I finally just said that whatever she was trying to say about our accounts was the same thing we were trying to say, and that it really didnt matter. All we wanted to do was purchase sheets so it didnt make any sense to me that shed zeroed in on our account in the way she was. She was more focused on which name to put the purchase under and we said multiple times it made no difference to us. We asked about the DualTemp layer that we could add to the bed and said wed keep an eye out for sales for it and she then said youre not insiders so Ive never seen a sale unless youre an insider. First of all, we do qualify as insiders because we purchased the bed for our grandmother as well as multiple other items so we get the insider emails and postal mail offers all the time. But not only that, her tone when she said it was so condescending it left a bad taste in my mouth over the whole thing. If we didnt need sheets for our split king, Id have walked out. Im not sure where her attitude comes from or why it was so combative that day, but she seemed miserable to be helping us over something relatively simple and acted as if we should be so thankful for her help. I dont know where customer service has gone, but its certainly changed and even disappeared in the last few years drastically and she was a perfect example of that decline.
Excellent customer service from Jess. She was knowledgeable of each Sleep Number bed, asked probing questions on our sleep habits, encouraged questions, and had a great sense of humor. We got an estimate and plan to return within a month to purchase the bed.
Went in to buy a bed, specifically the C4. Richard started off alright but then tried to sell us pillows we didnt want etc. The straw that broke the camels back was when he simply walked away. He was joking and looking a pictures on someones phone. My wife and I were baffled, guess they dont work on commission. We walked next door to Mattress Firm and were treated properly by Moe. We ended up spending about $4,000 over there, way to lose that sale Richard. Ill never go back to that sleep number store.

Sherrel at this store was awesome and took the time to really help us make an informed decision. However, the product that we got was broken and customer service isnt really concerned.Sleep Number customer service has refused to assist my father-in-law, a US military veteran, with a timely replacement of their faulty product. After purchasing our first (and probably last) Sleep Number bed for my father-in-law who is bed ridden due to illness contracted while serving his country they delivered a product that does not work. The bed we purchased was supposed incline both the top and bottom half of the bed so my father-in-law could sit up and elevate his feet as needed to maintain comfort. After waiting 2-weeks for the initial delivery the company left a non-operational bed that does not raise up or down because the motor was Dead on Arrival. I called the companys customer service and was told it would be another 14-days before they could get out to fix the brand new bed.We opted to purchase the more expensive Sleep Number bed because of the amenities it provides over a standard hospital bed. We wanted to give this frail man the maximum amount of comfort and empower him to do basic things like sit up to eat or elevate his legs when they get sore without him having to rely on his elderly wife or a part-time in-home nurse. This bed was selected because of the ability for it to provide him with some independence and dignity as his health degrades and he gets weaker and unable to lift his own dwindling body weight.Customer service has informed us that nothing can be done for at least two weeks when the work can be combined with another shipment out to our area. They say its their policy that he must wait. I am at a loss that a company like Sleep Number can be so unwilling to help in such a menial way a man who dedicated his career to serving this country. My father-in-laws condition gets worse as the days pass and what dignity he has left slips away every time he cant do basic things for himself like sitting up. Is it really impossible for Sleep Number to put the part in a van and send a qualified technician out to fix this bed? Is it worth the anger and frustration from an American patriot who just wants some comfort in his final days? I dont think its worth any of that.It would seem Memorial Day is only about sales to Sleep Number.My sleep number is 0 because I am losing sleep over this whole ordeal.

Told them not to show us the top of the line flagship wanted only entry level yet the sales lady went for the most expensive. Love the product but hate the store/company.
We received excellent service from Sherrell Kohler at the Fredericksburg store 10112 when we went to buy a new air mattress. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant and explained everything beautifully. Our mattress will be delivered on July 19th. We especially liked the fact that since we bought a Select Comfort air mattress 21 years ago we were still in the computer and received a $300 discount on our current purchase.

I hate shopping for a big ticket item and feeling pressured. Here I had a great salesperson (Sammy) and felt I had all the information I needed, and zero pressure.
