Purchased a vehicle in July 2021 from Dave Maddox at Maxkar Motors. Was told it would take 7-10 days for us to receive the title in the mail. After constant follow ups, we finally received it in the mail after 20 business days. Then the temporary tag expired. Again, with persistence, we finally were able to get another temporary tag issued to us.(Now we are in a situation where the 2nd temporary tag expires tomorrow and they will not issue us another one. We have sent off the paperwork to our state (TENNESSEE - military) to get registered and have not received it back - the temporary tag expires tomorrow so the vehicle will not be able to be driven).The lack of follow up/response from everyone at Maxkar Motors is sub-par. Would never purchase a vehicle from them again.

Wow what a great experience! David was awesome, knowledgeable, and extremely fair. The whole experience from shopping there vehicle’s, ( one of the mechanics even handed me a flashlight when I was under the car) to paperwork, was just smooth. I normally would rather have a root canal than buy a car but Dave and Maxkar were incredible!

Its easy to get approval when they know theyre selling luxury lemons. Without lemon laws in Virginia, youre stuck with lots of repairs and high monthly loan payments..... When I purchased my car I had to wait a few days to pick it up because it needed an inspection, the check engine light was on and a couple other things needed to be checked. I was told it was going to its brands dealership for everything. When it was ready, nobody could tell me what was actually done to the car at the other dealership. I had to call there myself, and found out nothing was done but the inspection. And nothing could be done about it. When the bank who approved my loan called, they said I should have gotten a car with no issues. Again, nothing I could do about it. Everyone was polite but I feel like the whole situation was handled wrong and I was left with unresolved mechanical issues that I shouldnt have been left with.

Had such a great experience here at Maxkar motors! The salesman’s Zee was very polite and was not pushy at all like these other dealers. He allowed me enjoy my visit purchasing a car and answered all my questions. I had issues with getting the right payment amount that would be sustainable for me, but Zee told me not to worry and he did what he said he was going to do! Got me the perfect car note and made the paperwork process fast and easy. Did not hide any fees from me nor did he make me rush sign. He explained every piece of paper that I was signing. Overall I would most definitely come back and purchase another car from here without a doubt!

I was searching online for a car that MaxKar Motors was featuring. When I got there, I was working with Zee and he was very attentive and helpful. The whole buying process took a while but I enjoyed it nevertheless. What made it enjoyable for me, was the atmosphere at the dealership. It is a friendly, family owned and family run business. From the owner to the mechanic, everyone treated me very well. I recommend for anyone to go and shop at this dealership. Terrible place to buy a car. They lie to your face and then simply ignore you. I was sold a truck with a blown head gasket, (they didnt tell me) for 43,000. I couldnt use the warranty they sold me, and when I got rid of the truck, THEY WOULDNT REFUND ME THE MONEY FOR THE WARRANTY. I TOOK A $10,000 DOLLAR LOSS DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE. Zee, the owner basically told me kick rocks. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

Moe was excellent throughout my whole purchase process. I actually drove 3 hours to buy my truck. I shopped my local area long before deciding to go the distance but I am very glad I did. Every step of the way I felt Moe was fair and honest with me and in the end they gave me more for my trade in than my local dealers would. If you are looking for something very specific - and they have it for sale - I would recommend you check them out. They werent the cheapest price for the truck I bought, but you usually get what you pay for, and I feel I got a great truck at a fair price. Very satisfied!

I made an appointment online to look at a Hyundai they listed, they had no idea which one I was asking about and they spent no time to ask me any questions Zee was quick to pull around a 2017 when I put in an inquiryon a 2015. He pulled the car out and the first thing I noticed was the missing antenna cover. As we moved along, they didnt take the time to fill the tires properly, the pressures read 32 35 39 31. The key fob had a dying battery, as I went to test drive the vehicle it said the key was missing. Upon driving down the road, the car developed a distinct rod knock i turned around and the vehicle limped back to the lot. When I returned I was told the car was fine beforehand but I seriously doubt it when I faced so many glaring errors beforehand.

I recently purchased a truck here. They were very friendly and I had zero issues with my purchase and enjoyed the experience. They gave me a fair price and were not pushy at all. There was almost an identical truck at another lot so i drove it from there to here and parked them side by side. Maxkar had no problem with me doing it and matched the other lots price. Done deal since on comparison, Maxkar had a slightly better condition truck.

My uncle recently brought a Yukon XL from them. He took to aamco eleven later only to find out transmission was bad. It took 3 days for the owner of Maxkar to respond. He called and said he would verify transmission issue with aamco. He never called them and never called uncle back.

Worst experience ever was told to bring 3 months bank statement I brought in a year on one and 3 months on other also I brought my proof of residents and insurance. Salesman was not very friendly he wanted to see my whole statement my question was why do the need to see who I write checks to the ending and beginning balance should be all they need to see i should not have to show a check from food lion ect.... anyway then I asked for manager MO I said I can just pay cash what is the cash price he said that was cash price well I said you just lost a sale. I sure hope people really dont have to deal with people I have perfect credit and should of not stopped by a place like that anyway. Buyer Beware not friendly

Currently waiting for them to reimburse my car breaking down after a month of use. Will re do rating if covering their mishap of not catching this upon inspection. Demaris is the only employee here dedicated to making things right. Work with her if you decide to purchase from here and she will definitely take care of you.

Drove over 2 hours to be here, they told us we were good for the down payment that we agreed on before we drove all this way. Got down her and they wanted us to put way more down! Pictures were misleading the interior of the truck was all scratched up from the previous owner! No happy at all!

Drove an hour and a half to check this place out, lady we chatted with said anyone can get approved for finances with credit over 450. Tray helped us, was very kind. We took the car for a test drive then we got down to business, he asked us for paystubs and how much we make. Also said if I don’t have drivers license I won’t be financed. Then he said how much are we willing to put down, and said it would have to be a few thousands. And we said well how much would we have to pay monthly? Then he said we need to have money to put down or they won’t Finance us. That we will have to put down a lot of money first. And I told him I tried to get an suv and was approved by the bank for 20,000, without a license and they told me how much to put down and how much monthly, not put down first then see how much we can get financed. He seemed to get upset once I said this and said I can run your credit and try to finance you but I don’t want to waste my time or your time if you don’t have money to put down. And we said we drove an hour and a half for this. And he said ok we will run it and see. Waited 30 min and then he came back and said no you were not approved. He seemed happy and Clearly not wanting our business. And that was that. They ran only one of our credit and not the other which makes no sense because I have been approved before and had worse credit. If you’re coming to buy a car this is not the place. They clearly do not know what they are doing, and not willing to help. They do not know how to finance .

We called and asked Maxcar to hold a car for us that we were seriously considering buying. They asked us for a $250.00 hold on our credit card in order for them to take it off the lot for the day, which we agreed to. My husband was told by the sales lady that if we bought it, the $250 would be rolled into the price. If we didnt, it would not be charged. After looking at the car, we decided to purchase a vehicle from another dealer in town. When my husband talked with the manager, he REFUSED to refund our $250. He said the sales lady spoke out of turn and didnt have the authority to tell us it would be refunded. We are also business owners!!! If that happened in our business, the customer would be refunded, and the employee would be dealt with!! Poor business. Poor customer service.

Fast-Talking Wheeler-Dealer. Beware!Called on a 2007 vehicle whose CarFax only went back to July 2014. However, the rapid-fire middle-eastern sounding salesman went on nonstop establishing that the vehicle has only been in Virginia and garage kept. When I challenged him that he could not possibly know where the vehicle has been prior to July 2014, nor how it was kept, he evaded and tried to reiterate garage-kept and Virginia. I put this in the same category as all highway miles. Baloney. Please dont insult the buyers intelligence. Avoid.

Wow, I just had a 3 minute conversation with this dealership. The sales lady answers and instead of pushing the hold button she proceeds to speak with a manager (Im assuming) as I hear her rude unprofessional self mock and imitate me. Ive been in the business for years and sure that kind of behavior happens but certainly not openly so the prospective customer can hear. I would never do business with such an establishment and I think I may make a dealer board complaint... If the manager or owner takes the time to read this, great.. dont bother responding but a employees like that should be out the door with the quickness..

Make sure they fix the vehicle before you drive it off the lot. I drove the car i purchased from him to multiple shops, to get the repairs done to the car. Moe ended up charging me for the miles in the car. All the miles were from driving the car to get repairs done. They will tell you they’ll do the necessary repairs. but thats just lies to make you sign. Obviously i called the police and the officer explained me that hes been to that dealership multiple times for the same reason. The only option i had was take him to court. Moe is a liar, he scam me 2000 dollars.
