This was worth the visit just for the painting tutorial. The manager was extremely friendly, and answered all of my questions, from lore to technical assembly. He was great with kids, and even my less-than-enthusiastic wife. The selection was MASSIVE, but due to covid-19 you cant wander through and browse. I will absolutely return. Tali is the current store manager.Prior to stopping by the store Id had a peripheral exposure to Warhammer 40k, through friends, YouTube, and several other venues.Immediately after entering the store Tali greeted me, introduced himself and asked my name. Tali asked questions about my previous exposure to 40k and walked me through the current story and status of the universe. Tali was energetic, conversational, and appeared to be invested in his store and customers. Everytime a customer entered the store they were greeted by name and he would introduce regulars to anyone new that entered.Ive since purchased a significant amount of warhammer miniatures and wargaming supplies from here. Its not a typical gaming store. Those have their place, and I dont want to discourage anyone from attending our communities large swath of them. This is a different animal.Talis warhammer store is a professional experience focused on the warhammer universe and Ive had no inkling of a clique. He hosts painting, assembly, and gaming events regularly.Id encourage anyone who has an interest in warhammer 40k or the current fantasy adaptation, age of Sigmar, to stop by.

Tali is amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He loves to know his customers, and its great at remembering names. He always asks, and carrots you by name there. Great conversation and great in store inventory. Just moved to the area, cannot wait to come back

We traveled from southern Maryland to visit the shop! We were greeted by Tali and our wonderful experience begun there. My BF is a long time gamer and myself learning and interested in this new hobby! Tali gave us so much information on the who’s and whats and we left very excited to find a new store where customer’s are treated with respect and enthusiasm. My husband and I were so excited to find a games workshop store in Virginia AND its less than 30 minutes away! Tali was extremely enthusiastic and helpful with any questions and even went above and beyond to show some painting techniques to a newbie like myself. Great deal on the paints and will be back frequently....when we arent at his sister shop in Raleigh, NC with TJ! Lol 😆

My son and I went in to browse today, and the Manager was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on everything Warhammer. He treated my son like a fellow enthusiast vice just a random customer. He even knew other visitors by their names! Awesome place, managed by an awesome gentleman.

Absolutely love this place. My only regret is not discovering it sooner before Covid, would love to be able to hang out here for a while to get in some gaming. But aside from that, they seem to almost always have what Im looking for, more so than the other GW shops Ive visited. If they dont, you can order it and support the shop directly vs just ordering online. My wife and I came about a month ago, and my buddy and I came today, and well for sure be coming back.The manager is very friendly and knowledgeable, and makes tons of helpful suggestions (models, paints, anything really) without any of the pushy stuff you get at some places. Its worth mentioning that you also wont get any of the snarky remarks that some other GW locations are sometimes known for, where theyre painting and can scarcely be bothered to even make eye contact. Its also obvious that the manager absolutely loves the hobby, which is frankly a bit contagious and as a result this is the second time Ive walked out with more than I planned on haha--I regret nothing!Thank you, I will no doubt be a regular here for years to come Im sure! Highly highly recommend this shop for any Warhammer needs!

The new manager was very helpful and friendly. I didnt realize they were only allowing one customer (or one family group) in at a time, but Im glad theyre taking extra precautions. The paint app was very helpful because I just called out the type and color of paints I wanted and the manager bagged it. Super easy and safe.

Really helpful and welcoming staff. Inviting to new players and really make getting into something easy. Hours are weird and it’s the same prices as online but you save on shipping, can get helpful advice and tips for free, and you get to see what others have been painting.

Oh my goodness... the people and the one worker i ran into here where very friendly. Anything from helpful advice for model building, to sharing cool insights to new and updating rules. This place is so cool. It is a shame i live so far away from this store. I would return back sooner.

This store is awesome! Manager is amazing and very knowledgeable, and the other staff is great as well! People who come to the store are also very helpful and willing to teach people about the available games! I have personally witnessed multiple people take time to teach new and younger children how to play. Community in the store is amazing and makes you want to come to the store and play! If you have any interest in playing a Games Workshop game such as Warhammer 40k or Age of Sigmar this is definitely the place to come visit, you will not be dissapointed!

They have a good selection of stuff in stock, and are extremely friendly. Customers are fun to play with if youre looking to roll some dice and have friendly games.

The manager makes this store what it is. She is knowledgeable and friendly. Her knowledge and care for the game really shines through in every interaction she has.

Small shop but with a good selection of models. Very helpful staff but really bad hours of operation. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for some weird reason. No real gaming space. They have a table but again, very small. I typically only shop here if I cannot find the miniature elsewhere as youre paying full GW prices. Otherwise, I purchase and play elsewhere.
