Got an alignment and a balance but now I feel my tires wobble more and pulls more. I did get a hook up as the attendant called it, but does not feel like it. Use to be a really good and reliable place but not sure anymore.

Waste of time. You will make an appointment a week in advance and they will not be able to work on your vehicle in the timeframe that you give them. The woman in line ahead of me had the exact same experience. Go somewhere else.

This location was great to go to. Jared had excellent customer service and was able to schedule me an appointment next day. From what I can tell, they usually have promotions going on a lot for their tire services. Got 4 new tires put on and the installation was free for the brand I chose. Dropped my car off and they were done in about a hour and a half. Thanks!

Horrible service do not place any orders online why they let you make an order online and say they dont even do orders is beyond me one of the dumbest things Ive ever heard and customer service is horrible I never did actually get a hold of them I had to call their 1-800 number. Had some repair service to my car done, excellent job. But the previous time I was here for a oil change, the valve stem caps on my tires were not there, so knock off a star for that. But very friendly and helpful in store. Good deals as well.

I went to the pep-boys in Fresno on Blackstone ave.They have a wide selection of car care products. Also a significant amount of other accessories, tires, stereos, maintenance items, tools, and a parts counter. The cashier was extremely polite. (A welcome change from other places).All in all it was a great experience.They have lots of parking. And the store was clean.

My family and I have been going to this Pep Boys location on Shields and Blackstone regularly since the mid 1990s. Doug and Harold have been there ever since, and have taken great care of us and our vehicles through out the years until now. They never try to force unnecessary repairs on us, they have always been very courteous and professional every time, and they always make sure that the job is done right and on time. I would highly recommend this Pep Boys service center, and recommend seeing Doug and Harold.

I know I already did a review on Pep Boys I had to say that theyre very historical place they have been around a long time and not only in Fresno they were in Southern California when I was out there and every place Ive been theres been a Pep Boys you can go there you can get tires put on they got credit you can use they take credit cards is very good at what they do. No work on anything on your car that you want them to and guarantee it I think theyve always been the most courteous people Ive ever met they have everything you could ever want in tools and batteries and everything you cant say something they havent got so there! LOL I feel good about talking good about Pep Boys theyre great!

I have had poor service at this location previously, but today I had every bit of faith restored! Harold is an amazing customer service agent. Your team had me in and out for a really tough alternator change that normally takes about 4 hours in about 2 and a half hours. Michael also went above and beyond while helping me figure out the best replacement for a brake light cover. Amazing job guys! And a big thank you to the technicians who switched me out, you guys were great today!!

The service department gave me the run around.This was my first time dealibg with service dept. They basically wasted my time and lied to me about what repairs needed to be made. I wont bore you with details . But be careful with them. Get second opinion before you have any work done there. I wont ever be back for service. Parts maybe. Also there staff has poor customer service. The other pepboys on shaw and goldenstate has bad customer service ad well. Im very upset with them. Seems like pepboys is going down hill . But what do I know Ive only been going to them my whole life,for parts.

We went there set an appointment to have our transmission fluid and filter changed for the same day the next week.The guy at the front desk took our number down but wrote down the wrong number and the wrong name, so after we dropped the car off he couldnt get a hold of us. We decided to go check up on our car 3 hours later just to have him tell us they couldnt do the fluid/filter change because they dont have the tools to do it.How he didnt know he couldnt do it before saying he could do the job shows how little knowledge he has of their own capabilities, and the fact that he couldnt write down the correct name and phone number(and not even verify with us to see if it was correct) shows that he didnt really care. So I give them a two star for flat out wasting our time.Get your stuff together down there. I wont recommend pep boys to anyone, go to midas instead.

You walk in and most of the parts worker just sit down and dont help much, they couldnt find my part, was rude, Justine the manager just ignored me and she didnt even bother to help me while she was texting on her phone, yeah great help retail department, what kind of management is this???? The service guys helped cash me out quicker than the front counter, pros- service were more helpful 👍👍 cons- parts department and there manager are a joke 👎👎👎👎

They are so lovely and passionate on helping people get back on the road, they helped my sister get back to me after they helped replaced her battery and did exactly what they said on making sure her battery and alternator were ok after retesting it so she wouldnt be stranded, Bless you guys, I recommend this location!!!!!!

Made an appointment for alignment on April 18 at 1 pm, I drop it off 20 minutes before at 1240. I call at 245 pm and the vehicle is barely on the lift.Whats the point of making appointments then?Snotty attitude by customer service, yeah, Ill call you when its done.... which was more of dont call us, the clerk told you that we would call you, why are you calling? - tone.Im calling because I made an appointment and its going to be past 2 hours for a simple alignment - for which I had a appointment, I think thats reasonable.

Dont make appointments online. they told me it would take 3 hours when I came in to get my brakes done. it took 3.5 hours for them to call and tell me itll be double what I was quoted at a local place. who has 3.5 hours to wait and not even have the car be done? dont come here. support someone local and honest.

DO NOT GET TIRES HERE! Came to replace both front tires. They decided to take my bad front tires rotate them to the back and then replaced the front with my new tires then keep my back good tires.Do not take your eyes off of them when they are working. I came back to fix the problem, and get my tires back they still try to use my two bad front tired and keep them on the back still.They still try to keep my old tires again after when they were done.KEEP YOUR EYE ON THEM WHEN THEY WORK ON YOUR CAR!!!

Very bad service and extremely rude managerOn Saturday, August 13, 2016 at around 1:00-1:30 p.m. my wife went to the Blackstone location in Fresno, California. She went to the location to purchase a part for our Honda Pilot. She was calling around to get the best price and spoke with someone earlier to get the price check. She then went to another part dealer that does match price guarantee. The individual (who was a male) from the other parts dealer called and spoke with someone from the Blackstone location and my wife was then sent to the store on Blackstone because the part was a better deal. Upon arriving my wife was met with someone (STORE MANAGER) who was extremely rude and SARCASTIC.He stated that he told her earlier that the part was in Clovis, keep in mind he spoke with the person (a male) from the other parts dealer and NOT MY WIFE. She then asked him if he could tell her where the Clovis location was in which time he became more sarcastic saying you know where Fresno State is, she then asked can you provide me the cross streets in which time he RUDELY stated you know where Shaw and Willow are. LIKE IF SHE WAS A DANG CHILD. By the way Fresno State cross streets are Cedar and Shaw which is at least a mile away from each other, so he also attempted to provide misinformation. Once again may be due to his passive aggressive attitude.We looked online and this location has many negative reviews and there does not appear to be any serious attention being taken. My entire family and I have had our cars fixed with Pep Boys and just last month had our brakes done at this very location. We are Face-booking and emailing all our family, colleagues and friends informing them regarding what occurred and asking them not to take their vehicles to this location.My wife was so distraught from the experience and embarrassment that I had to console her. To top it off there were two other employees there when this was taking place and none even attempted to calm the situation down which makes me ask what type of customer service training does the organization provide.Thank God for the Clovis Pep Boys. I did not want to give this place any stars but it makes you give at least one to post your review.

Gone to this store many times and always had a good experience. I also find the service employees to be very knowledgeable, especially Doug. It is very odd to read a previous review posted by Maggie Vickers indicating that Doug is very rude, because he is the most knowledgeable and nicest person working there. It just goes to show that anyone can write anything they want in these reviews because no one is calling them on it.

Unless you have a couple hours to waste, dont go to this location. Also make sure theyre in the mood to work on cars, My mechanic, L.G. choose to sit around talking. Also there was like 3 other people frustrated with how slow they were and their was a huge staff in duty, lots of standing around and talking.I went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation after about an hour and a half my car keys were returned and they only did the oil change, thats only 50% of the job. And they didnt even say they didnt do it until I called them out, as I was watching from the window. They said theyd put it back in to do that tire rotation, but after the 1.5 hours that it had just taken to do a 20-minute job. I dont think so.

Been going to sears for years, and I think I found my new auto guys. Ended up having to get my rotors changed at sears because they held my vehicle hostage, but these guys did an oil change for me with a coupon for 19.88, really cheap. And they are nice as heck too.

Before this shop I had a lot of faith in the Pep Boys brand, If you want someone to throw parts (and your money) at your car with no real idea what the problem is these are the guys for you. If you want an experienced, educated mechanic to fix your car properly without taking advantage of you and your bank account, go ANYWHERE but here. These guys are simply parts hangers, they will throw parts blindly at your car and hope it works, then charge you for parts you didnt need, their customer service is nice to your face but they outright lie and try to deceive customers to make a few hundred extra bucks. First stop after this review, BBB, then my attorneys office to get my money back.

Had my car towed here because it was overheating. It was close to closing time so I left it overnight. The guys here were friendly enough but were clearly not happy to deal with my foreign car problems. Anyway, I got a phone call the next morning that my car was ready. Picked it up and was told they couldnt find the problem. I was happy because they didnt charge me but confused about my car. Anyway, it has overheated twice more so I guess I will have to break down and take it to the dealership. Its out of warranty so Im going to have to brace myself financially.

Very unprofessional theyre not linked with their Internet site so if you schedule an appointment plan on waiting until theyre ready to call you the worse Pep boys Ive ever been to. Ill be buying tools and parts from another store and doing it myself in the future. Brought it here for APPOINTMENT service and convenience ience not to sit here for 4 hours for brake pads. I got up at 6:30 on a Saturday to get here right before they open at 7 am, only to find that the manager told employees not to open until 7:30. I had a very nice employee offer to pull my car in anyways to begin looking at it. He was immediately being yelled at by another rude employee who wouldnt even make eye contact or greet me or explain.As a business major I can say, it is employees like the first gentleman that keep stores in business. He took care of the employee, that other employee clearly doesnt understand the customer service side of his job. Not sure Ill come back here when the manager doesnt open the store when theyre supposed to.

Had a 10:00 appointment. Arrived to a line of 2 people not being helped at all while the staff answered new phone calls and staples paper. Was greeted with not even a hello but a next please. I arrived at 9:55 and didn’t get helped until 10:10. Was given a 45 minute window, and that window was double as they didn’t even start working on my car until 50 minutes after I arrived. While it is a cheap priced oil change, the waste of time and inappropriate attitudes are probably not to the benefit of those with things to do on their day off.

I was so very pleased and astonished by how the service worker jared helped me and sister get her tires put on. I dealt with goodguys and they sound rude and feel if there rushing you, after coming to pepboys I will for sure be back here again, the worker was so pleasant over the phone, went over the tires and pricing plus benefits of each one, he offered a lyft ride so we wouldnt have to sit and wait, he went out his way to help us and got us out quicker than expected, thank you jared and the mechanic and pepboys!

No other customers in the store and 3 employees behind the counter (none on the phone) and still had to wait for service. Asked 3 times for 2 gaskets and once for an extra gasket. Got my parts home only to find 1 gasket. Called and talked to Doug who put me on hold. The parts guy picked up and was NOT helpful. If Doug is a manager and he cant be bothered to handle customer complaints then he needs to go. I will go back to this store over my dead body.

More than satisfied. My car had been running terrible for weeks and sounding even worse for months before that. It stopped on me so I finally took it in. They were able to run an engine diagnostics later that day... I left the car there. When they called the total was $660, but I assumed as much because I hadnt done anything to it in 4 years other than oil changes. It needed tune up, ignition coils, fuel line fixes, and oil change. Im broke now (lol) but my car runs and sounds phenomenal! Thanks guys🙂.

Brought my car in for a brake replacement. Called me and tell me both front and back brakes and all 4 roators are ruined. Come back to check it out and what do you know, they are up to specks. Had a appt today for mass air flow sensor was bad after they replaced it a month ago. I go in and Doug the service manager is very rude and told me they could not help me today cause the person was not there after i was scheduled to have my car there by 830. Jared is a great guy there and always a big help when i go in but he was not there. Doug always makes people wait in lines he gets loud. I dont reccomend this pep boys as long as doug is there!! Then today August 20, 2018 he refuses to fix my car tells the pep boys in clovis that he wont have anyone work on mu car at this shop. If they dont fix my car from the warrantied part and the director dont get back to me soon i will go above the director. No one is calling me back and i made the complaint on Saturday. Doug is discriminatory, screams at his customers and lies about saying he test drove my car and he did not, and i know they didnt cause i was still in area and my car did not move. I will do business there if Doug is not there anymore but not till then, this location is very convenient for me since i live close as well. Oh and dont drink coffee there i got a cup and did not notice it was full of ants.

Our visit today with Pep Boys was one of the best ive ever seen. We had a maintenance light pop up on our 2013 toyota corolla. We took the car in to be checked, and asked about a transmission fluid change as another mechanic had suggested it during a oil change.The store didnt sell us anything, and actually told us our transmission fluid was still good. This is the first time we have been to a mechanic that didnt try to push services we didnt need. To top it off, they didnt charge us. Pepboys has made a life time customer!

I spoke to their district supervisor Ron White, who personally guaranteed me that Doug Latham the store manager would correct the issues i and my wife had with the very under trained service department. The problem all started with my bringing my vehicle to pepboys asking if they could put a part on my vehicle once i purchased it from their store. Harold stated sure. I then purchased the part, and left my vehicle with them ALL day!! They kept avoiding my calls when i asked them if my car was ready? They would state i would get a call back, but i never did, hmmm?? I then walked 6miles with my wife to Pepboys hopefully get our car. Only to find out they barely started working on it, and the guy was on.a Long..lunch break.. to make matters worse, they damaged another part during installation of my new part. Without notifying me, i had prior to this visit paid for a wheel alignment, they kept my car overnight claiming i can get it early morning. LIE..THE NEXT DAY, I GOT IT MINUTES BEFORE THEY CLOSED, .it was, squealing, whining, leaking large amounts of fluid, oil stained inside, radio channel blasting and changed from my 99.9 christian music, and when we turned around to bring it back within seconds of getting it back, the mechanics said Oh, the loud squealing goes away after you drive 500 miles. Which is a total Lie!! And they were nasty and rude to us, to the point, we felt a class action lawsuit, should be pursued. My wife had to take a cab home from work, because they couldnt fix our car in time, like they promised. I, keep having to bring it back, over and over just for it to get worse every time they work on it. And for Harold, Andrew, Jared, Doug, and the team of So called ASE certified to say, i didnt pay anything, Well i did! I placed the bill on my pepboys card, but told them to honor their money back guarantee. I was never reimbursed for paying for my wife cab from work as Ron and Doug promised, these guys covered their butts. I use to love going to pepboys but now, it so draining and ghetto at this location. Staff is not helpful. Very bias, mechanics are not great. And the people who are posting on.here saying they were treated great??These are Pepboys Staff and friends lying POINT BLANK. MY WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS SCREWED UP AFTER THEY repaired it for the 3rd time, almost Wrecked my car while out of town..please Revamp your TEAM..SERIOUSLY..AND GET A NEW MANAGER AND DISTRICT MANAGER.who can put their foot down on poor workmanship and service from their staff. I wouldve cleared house, after All of the complaints. They are Not trying to treat customers with quality, they just want a paycheck..No matter who gets hurt while driving a unsafe car, ..THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE..

I had the worst customer service experience ever here at this location. Im a senior citizen and Ive been a devout customer of Pep Boys with an A credit Pep Boys credit card for decades, but when I came to this location today the customer service guys were rude; their bad attitudes were totally unacceptable and unprofessional.One of the customer service clerks by the name of Jarad acted as if he couldnt understand English, and told me to wait until the boss come back, I waited patiently for a long time, then the manager by the name of Harold treated me as if I wasnt welcome, he rudely told me to WAIT, and here I am a good all American Senior Citizen who was being very polite and courteous; he finally told one of his workers to assist me, his name was Andres, he came out to my car with an unpleasant attitude and told me that he couldnt replace my nieces tire and hubcap because the rim was bent - totally nonsense!I had my niece to follow me to another tire shop and they had no problem replacing the tire and placing a hubcap on top within 20 minutes. Im totally disappointed in the way we were treated at this Pep Boys location - very unfriendly attitudes these people had. The worst customer service Ive ever experienced at a Pep Boys Service Center.I wish I could get a call from this Pep Boys manager so I can ask him why was I treated so rudely and disrespectfully.UnAmerican behavior!

I was told to come to this pep boys by the pep boys on Shaw to press a wheel bearing out. I was qouted around 40 dollars and I needed it done that day. Upon arriving I was told at the door that there wasnt a press in the shop. How does a pep boys service center not have a press? Blatant lie and very unhelpful to the little guy. They are only there to sell you parts and expensive labor. I wont ever be returning to a pep boys again in my lifetime.

Wow! Thank goodness for Harold and the staff @ Pep Boys on Blackstone in Fresno, CA!!! We live in Seattle and my 21 yo daughter decided to drive with her BF to Vegas to celebrate. Just outside of Fresno her engine light, oil light and VCS light came on. They checked everything out, found out a couple of her tires were thread bare, diagnosed the problem and sent her on her way within just a few hours. Luckily there is a nice shopping center across the street and the kids were able to have lunch and run errands instead of being stuck in a waiting room. I cant thank them enough for taking care of my little girl. And btw.....their prices were completely reasonable.
