Their drop-off service went above and beyond what the name implies because the technician (Calando) also set-up my order and took away all of the packaging.

Great service, helpful staff! Randy was great! I’m 70 years old and was still using Windows 7. Needed to upgrade to 10, but didn’t want to install on my multi-years old desktop! They fixed me up with a refurbished desktop, transferred everything from my old setup, and spent a lot of time walking me through the new equipment and operating system. When I left, Randy gave me his email and phone number, told me to call right away if I had any problems!

So i cracked my HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14m-cd0xxx. Its a 2-1 touch screen laptop that can turn into a tablet. It ended up costing me $249 to just replace the screen. Despite the expensive price ($89 just for labor), my computer when i close it cant close all the way. This is because the screen is a bit loose so when i go to close it a tiny part of the screen starts hanging out so i cant close it all the way. Everything fine and same as new besides the screen hanging out by like 1 milimeter (the size of lead from a sharpened pencil)

Came in and asked for a simple part. Was told that they would need to know what it fits. Then pointed me to something completely different from what I asked for. I had to search the store for what I was looking for and asked to see it. While I was there, I saw them misdiagnose a customers computer. I dont recommend this place like I once did.

I had a 2009 MacBook that they upgraded the ram for me, no issues at all. However when I factory reset it to sell it I was having issues. I went in there to maybe get some advice on how to boot MacOS. The guy was in a reluctant mood to help me, he did seem like he knew the answer. But wanted to to leave it so they can charge my a 100$ diagnostic fee. I looked up the intrusions on Google for doing a reset. Literally took me a few mins to complete a factory restart for my Mac. That was upsetting to me I just needed a little bit of help and I had already spent money there with them. The plus side is that they do have a nice stock of computers and they do good work no issues there.

I called to see if they had a charger for my laptop they told me yes and to bring it in to match it up. I asked the cost and they said they would be 15 to $20. When I arrived a technician told me they had no used chargers for my laptop I would have to purchase a new one for $37. Really I hate when they do the bait and switch.

My dog tripped over my HP laptop cord last month and broke the LCD screen. Took it back to Best Buy where I bought it, but they wanted $365 to repair it. I paid less than $500 for the laptop. Went down the street to 3 computer shops on Blackstone Ave., one went out of business (Tech City) and finally decided on Computer Mania in the Herb Bauer shopping center. First time here and the atmosphere is friendly, organized, and well stocked. The other estimate I had was $285. Computer Mania quoted me $185 total and they just happened to have a compatible screen in stock. After leaving the laptop with them, I went to the Japanese restaurant next door for lunch. The Teppan-Yaki cook told me that Computer Mania has been in business for over 15 years. After lunch, I went back to check and to my surprise, the repair was done. Laptop works like new again and has been working great for the past month.Another interesting I saw when I was there, was another older female customer bringing home baked cookies for the technicians. She complimented them for a great job recovering all her documents and pictures when her hard drive crashed. My experience at Computer Mania was excellent and I have no reservations in recommending them to anyone. BTW, had a great lunch at Yoshinos also. Will write a separate review soon.

All I can say is WOW...this place is pathetic. I went in there to discuss having a system made, and no one on the staff were interested in working with me to configure and purchase a system. When I first got to the counter, I smiled, and a young lady who was working on a system smiled back and said, How can I help you? I told her I was interested in having a system configured and built. She lost her smile and said, Ohhhhh, ummmmm, okay, maybe this gentleman here can help you. Alrighty, maybe she is not a salesperson.I smiled and the gentleman that came to help me, and he too seemed very disinterested in helping me configure a system-he sounded bored. Nonetheless, I kept trying to engage with him in a conversation to tell him my needs, etc. After about 10 minutes of him sounding bored, his heavy sighs, etc., I just said, You know what, Im good. Thanks for your time. He replied, Yeah, ok, sorry! You have a good day Sir.As I was leaving, he seemed eager to join the other techs in whatever it was they were doing. They were all standing around visiting, laughing, etc.Side note, there were no other customers in the store except me.
