Absolute worst experience ever. We ordered a custom ottoman that we waited 4 months for and it delivered with marks and scratches all over it. It was not wrapped or protected, just thrown in a Uhaul truck with other furniture. The mirror I ordered was broken, not once but twice. Ended up just canceling the order because apparently delivering a mirror is impossible for this company. Zero customer service. I had to call multiple times for updates and find out status when they had failed to communicate to me. With so many other furniture companies out there, I can assure you, you will be happier going somewhere else. Do not purchase from Bassett Furniture!!!
UPDATE: Bassett appears to have replied asking me for more information, but they never actually addressed anything with me when I sent them emails to their customer service address. It’s hard to find time to sit on hold on the phone to get anyone to answer. They don’t respond at all to their customer service address. Still waiting on couch repair.Let me start by saying we do love our furniture. It looks nice and its comfortable. We ordered on January 2 and we didnt get our furniture til halfway through March. It was a long wait for building and shipping of our custom furniture. We were thrilled when it Finally arrived. Over $6,000 of furniture, which we had to start paying on right away, before we even had it. This was frustrating, but once it arrived we were fine. Then in June we had to call out service to repair stitching coming out on one of the chair arms. Then, July, we had to call service out again to reinforce a structurally collapsed arm on the other chair (Under the upholstery and foam cushion, it is just thin cardboard. What am I paying for???) Now I find in August I am having to call out service AGAIN for stitching coming out in one of the couch cushions. We went with Bassett because of the quality we thought we would be receiving. I am starting to wish we had gone to Nebraska Furniture Mart and saved several thousand dollars. The chair and couch I have from NFM are still going strong after two long distance moves. We love our furniture but I am starting to wonder how long it will actually last. Will not be buying Bassett again.Takeaway: Youre paying for a brand name that no longer has the quality behind it. They might have a wood frame in their somewhere but theyre made of cardboard underneath. Save your time and money.

Went into the Frisco store yesterday with a friend and was not greeted at the door by anyone. We walked around for about 20 minutes and no one came and asked us if we needed help so we left. As we were leaving an older couple came in and the salesperson immediately asked them if they needed help and what they were looking for. I guess we weren’t good enough for them to help. That’s okay I went next door to Haverty’s, where they were extremely helpful, and spent around $3,000. I guess Bassett didn’t need my money!!
Fantastic experience! I had an an eclectic look that I was going for, but challenged by our room layout and pieces that I wanted to incorporate. Our designer, Pamela, came to our house and was instrumental in creating the vision. The room now is so comfortable and balanced! Pamela suggested pieces, fabrics, and a layout that I never would thought of on my own. My husband (who didn’t want new furniture) has now adopted the space. I will be calling Pamela as soon as my she-shed is ready. 😊
Furniture arrived damaged. Tried to reach the designer and the store manager with no success( also sent an email). Called customer service who sent the issue to the store. No response from the store for 2 weeks. They are very nice when you come to buy but ignore you after the sale. Very disappointing when you have so many options out there. We thought Bassett are different but it looks like they don’t justify the image they try to have by inflating their prices. Never going back.
We ordered living room furniture on two separate occasions in June and August 2019. We were looking for high-quality furniture for our new home. The first order took over 60 days to arrive and the second is approaching 45 days although both orders were “in-stock” fabrics and were supposed to be “30 days”. Bassett customer service is a joke because nobody can tell you the status of the order because only one person has “access” to that particular screen in the system. I have been given the runaround and have been transferred to multiple people that do not have answers. Avoid Bassett at all costs.
The two ladies I worked with were very unhelpful. I wanted to order a bed but one lady named Aleena told me that the bed is sold out and I can’t order it, and made up a story about all the available pieces are actually sold out waiting to ship. I called the Dallas store and they told me that it was in stock and helped me place an order. I would definitely not go back to the Frisco location as they don’t want to help you and don’t know anything about their own inventory.
Iris was amazing, she helped us in every step of buying our furniture and managed the delivery pretty good based on our schedule.

We had called the store to check their inventory before we placed an order on bed to deliver within 7 days. Our credit card was charged twice with the same amount from Bassett. We had to call Customer care and the store manager, nobody took care of those charges. We had to call American Express and dispute the duplicate charge.On the day of the delivery we called the warehouse 3 times and left a message no reply.We called the customer care and then talked to the store design consultant who took our order and then found out that the order was not set to deliver as committed. Very poor Customer service.
Buyer beware. This is the worst furniture experience I have had. Pieces didn’t match and our salesperson, Jeanette and store manager Parker were non responsive after the sale. That was what was most disappointing after spending $20,000 in two different purchases. They made promises to resolve, but did nothing, not even the courtesy of a return phone call. Finally, after two months of me reaching out to customer service weekly, they were able to fix the problem, but offered me nothing for the damage caused to my Front door from the delivery driver. Look at the reviews before making a purchase.
Clearly some people have a good experience with Basset but our experience has been horrible. Weve had issues across the board with the couch we purchased...product quality, store employees, customer service. Definitely not one of the scenarios where you get what you pay for because weve had much better luck with products half the price. We will NEVER buy anything from them ever again.
We purchased two rooms of furniture. One of the bedside tables had a loose leg. The guy who delivered it obviously knew it and I just so happened to see it askew.The delivery guy could not repair it on site. I asked him to take a couple of photos and he assured me if I called the store they would take care of it promptly. This is not true. We called the store. The person was not available. We called back... the person is at lunch. After several phone calls and three weeks... I went to Home Depot, bought some parts and just repaired it myself.I strongly recommend that you check anything you order from Bassett for defects or poor workmanship when it is put together at your home. If its not perfect refuse and make them take it back. If you dont... its your problem. Bassett and their employees at the Frisco store near Stonebrier Mall could care less.
I am a designer and I have used Bassett for years. Very happy with the price and quality. Will also be ordering Bassett for my personal home.

Extremely poor customer service. They dont call back or follow through. Still waiting to have them correct an issue with sofa they drlivered in may. They add also could not fix a cracked leg on the sofa either, took 2+months, i had to manage every step of the way, when it was finally came in, it was the wrong color, then they said i had to wait sll over again. I cslled the store mgr. PARKER to remind him i still couldnt sit on a 3000 sofa since may and that he could give me a leg from the floor sample.There were so many other problems, avoid at all costs.
Zero stars from myside ....WORST service I have ever received or imagined ....the review is not for this store in particular but the customer service and co-ordination. so the story goes like this, we buy a new house and visit the Bassett store in bay area, CA ...we like the stuff and decide to order stuff to our new home in Mckinney, TX .order two beds on JULY 20th, receive confirmation email on July 22nd . On July 23rd receive a voice mail that one of the beds Headboard is not available and I can choose another headboard for the same ......I call the Frisco store designer who was supposed to assist with my order but get connected to the Customer Services who assured my order was consolidated and will reach the Warehouse on 29th July .....On July 29th the store designer emails me that one of the bed is Out of Stock......I call them and another designer from the store assures that only the headboard is missing and I can choose another one, while same day getting a call from Customer service from Bassett furniture to inform me that my order has been Consolidated and the delivery team will be calling me this week To schedule delivery ......i contact the store designer and this is her response As I do not work at the Service Center, I do not access to the many other systems they have to better assist you.They can see, retrieve and combine information that I am not able to.I was trying to assure you would had a great shopping experience, with the knowledge and information received ref. your account from the store side.As of now, the Service center will be the best contact and connection ref. to your purchase and any scheduling that is now taking place. I have no other option but wait .......Finally when the delivery team didnt get in touch after the whole week has passed, i contacted customer care who finally told me that only one of the bed will be getting delivered.I requested them to have the Bed delivered asap ...got in touch with the Frisco store again cause they r the ones handling delivery, I requested to get the bed delivered asap as I have nothing to sleep on in my new house ( Aug 4 ) ....its been 8 -9 days and they still have no news for me ....the bed is in transit ???? SERIOUSLY ???WISH I HAD JUST ORDERED SOMETHING FROM WAYFAIR OR AMAZON....I am 27 weeks preganant and I had to sleep without a bed, the last person i got to speak with tells me WE R MAKING THE BED SPECIALLY FOR YOU thats y its taking time .......who r they befooling, if u making the bed for me why am I only getting just one bed and not both the beds I ordered ......DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY TIME AND ENERGY On them ......I am still thankfull that i didnt order more stuff .....i was planning to buy all my living room and dining room furniture from them but never again...going to call the customer service and see if i can get a refund ....dont want to deal with them EVER again.NO wonder you cant write reviews on their facebook Page ....best part is just when i was writing this review I again get an email from them that both my beds have been shippedYour masterpiece is complete!So whats next? Our Bassett team is getting your order ready to ship. Please expect a 2.0 day trip to your local delivery center. Once your masterpiece arrives, we will give you a call to schedule your in-home delivery.they r a JOKE
After looking at many other places and almost on our way home, we walked into Bassett and my wife finally found what she was looking for... rugs and fabrics to recover cushions.
