Ditch Starbucks and get local coffee instead! All their drinks are tasty, and they have a wide variety of milks/milk substitutes, which is awesome. Baked good are also available and super tasty. Cute decor and outdoor seating is available as well. Dividers are in place at the register due to Covid-19.
Love the food and environment! There is a lot to choose on their menu so everyone in the family (ages 1.5 - 37 years old) were able to enjoy their meals! We also enjoyed their soda selection made with pure cane sugar. There is also a coffee join with a great selection of vegan pastries and beverages!
I would go to this place just for the coffee shop and the snacks. However it is so much better in the setting with all the little businesses around it plus the food truck, outdoor sitting area etc. The whole environment is just great!
I’ve eaten here many times, and the food is great. It has a great outdoor setting, you can bring your dog and hang out, very nice. For a vegan the menu is great, and the pastries are fantastic. Highly recommend.
Can’t remember the exact name of the item, but I ordered a cheese filled bagel bite and it was super delicious— I would highly recommend it. However, I wouldn’t recommend the coffee. I got a latte and I didn’t really like it (definitely not as bad as Starbucks but still not a great cup of joe). Super cool that this place is vegan though! Maybe I’ll give the coffee another try.
Bagel bombs & the food truck rule! So tasty. Staff is always super sweet too.
Cool outdoor, social distancing venue. Until dusk when the mosquitoes swarm. Awesome vegan food truck and good drink selection @ Dads. Very Gville, which is a good thing.
Love the vibe. Good coffee and vegan fare even for non-vegans like myself
We actually had lunch at the food truck on the property. This is a multi use space. There is a coffee shop, food truck, gift shop, beer and wine lounge and a great outdoor space. Picnic tables, ping pong table, corn hole game and plenty of grass and trees. Bring a book and a blanket. Relax and enjoy. There is even a dinosaur on property. Now for the food....two of us got the rueben. It was just OK. Neither of us finished and didnt enjoy the other half left over. One person had the burrito and seemed to enjoy it alright. Another got the falafel salad and said it was really good. I did enjoy the empanada. Many vegan options. I will say the tator tots left a lot to be desired. They were in a puddle of grease. All of this being said, we would go back. Just make better choices when ordering. Give it a try.
Wonderful Drag show!!😁Only once a month on the second Saturday 😢 should have them more often 👍
There’s a large outdoor space, really relaxing. The food truck has good food too. Overall great vibes here. The one comment I have is that they got rid of the ping pong table and other games outside 😞
Super cute coffee spot with tons of outdoor seating! There are lots of outlets too so rest assured you wont have to scramble to charge your computer. Theres also a food truck in case you want a bite to eat. Id recommend the falafel salad :)
The selection of vegan treats both savory and sweet is outstanding. My wife and I dont think we will ever be able to eat a regular bagel again after having their bagel bomb - it was ridiculously delicious! The raspberry muffin was moist and had just the right amount of sweetness. And the quiche was filling and tasty. Thank you for providing great vegan fare in Gainesville!
Not being a vegan, I wasnt quite sure what to expect, but I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ate. Would absolutely return for another visit if my schedule allows it.
Pesto Bomb was really good. Friendly staff. Got an Americano that was good.
Great place to relax and socialize, or just grab a drink or some delicious vegan food, and read a book, if thats your thing. There are separate areas inside the fence. Its a lot larger than it appears when you first enter. What I thought were separate businesses on different lots were actually all on the same overall property. Got to see some great live music. People were all spread out in different areas, so there is plenty of space for social distancing.
Nice spot to chill. No activities going on due to covid at the moment. Animals are welcome. Coffee house staff friendly. Cant wait to return when more things going on!
What a great spot in Gainesville! If you are looking for a spot with great coffee and outdoor seating, then this is the perfect spot for you. The AUK market offers nice vintage clothing and unique cards, gifts, jewelry, etc.
We loved the loaded tots! The quesadilla was also great. The mac and cheese was OK (nothing better than I could make at home) and the falafel on roti was OK (the roti was more pastry-like than I am used to) - would not get it again. Still giving it 5 stars because they had good vegan food for a good price and I would definitely come back.
Really great wifi. The coffee here is excellent and the food is just as good. The area has lots of seating and other small businesses near. The bagel bombs are a must try!
Great visit! We really enjoyed our lunch here. Definitely what I would call vegan junk food but a nice once in a while treat. The number of areas on the property made it a bit overwhelming when we first got there so it took a minute to figure out where to go. Staff was friendly. Well be back next time were in town.
I love this coffee shop/food truck/bar. The best part, I recently learned, is that they also do cakes! We had ordered some cakes for a special company event this week and everyone *loved* them! The chocolate peanut butter was the first to go, but all of the flavors we selected were just great. Marissa was wonderful to work with and helped me decide on how much cake and what flavors to get. I cannot recommend cakes from Curia highly enough.
Cute coffee shop with tons of vegan food options. The drinks are great and the outdoor seating is really nice.
Friendly staff and good coffee. Plenty of spots outside to spread out wether in a group or finding a spot alone. Also have spaces under a roof for heat/rainy days
More than anything else, great atmosphere. Its its own secluded corner of Gainesville, coffee house and vegan restaurant, with an alleged art gallery that Ive yet to go in. Frequent community events. Good coffee. And not without flaws, sure. However, unique venues like this one are always a pleasure revisiting.
The food is mouthwatering and all vegan! Everything on the menu is yummy. The prices decent. However, I agree with the sentiment expressed by others in their reviews that the staff can be rude. The coffee bar staff, at Curia On the Drag, was pretty nice when I was there. It’s the food service staff, at Curia Off The Drag, that emanates a rude vibe.
So many great things to mention so let’s just focus on the greatest biscuit EVER! Would I drive 500 miles to get one. No but I would drive 499.
Great place to get coffee or tea and do some work. I really love the types of Black Tea from China they have. The baristas are always super sweet and it always smells really good!
This is probably the pinnacle of vegan junk food and explains why vegans do not automatically equate to being healthy. This is coming from a plant-based health mentor in training to become a plant-based health coach by people with over 20+ years of experience in relieving and reversing disease. I decided to try their food anyway just to see how it was.The mac n cheese and sloppy joe quesadilla we decided to try were completely soaked in oil. Pools of oil were left at the bottom of each tray. The fries of course were also oily but not nearly as bad as the Mac n cheese and sloppy joe quesadilla. The falafel salad was the only good part about our meal that barely saved it. There was so much oil and salt I couldnt even taste much of the other ingredients. It felt like I was digesting rocks the next few days. This place really couldve been a lot better if the food wasnt soaked in oil and salt.A lot of college students come here to use the outdoor seating as a space to do their work, hangout with friends, or both. Id advise college students that if youre going to use their space and actually want to be productive, bring some fruits and veggies instead, or have one of their salads. Anything else is going to slow you down and harm your health.
Earthy, yummy environment and food. Feel good all the way!
Cute and Unique quiet place to get a Hot and Fresh cup of coffee, they sell whole coffee beans by the bag so you can have your own fresh ground coffee
I really like the vibe of the whole place. It feels safe and chill. Vegan makes it even more magickal. I wish they offered more gluten free options other than corn tortillas for their sandwiches. All in all is a place to be in Gainesville for sure.
Beautiful space with good food and coffee! The staff was pretty rude though.
Great place to study. Great food. But, they need better containers than their plastic ones.
I tried to call about having Curia bake a custom cake, and no one picked up the phone; two weekdays days of trying to call. I then tried to leave a message using their website, but the contact us email feature did not work. So, pretty abysmal customer service, at least in my case.
Great little hidden gem of Gainesville. Location has onsite parking and lots of places to sit and eat. They have a coffee shop that also serves beer and wine, plus an all vegan food truck. They have a gallery and a little music stage. Great little place to go with friends or too take a date. There is a pavilion to sit under with a few games to play as well. Definitely recommend. Coffeeshop is card only fyi and they have an electric car charger on site.
Wonderful, peaceful space, loved the Auk Market for interesting local art and goods
Amazing atmosphere! I love the sustainability and vegan theme.
Yo this place slapsBest chill spot for good vibes
This spot is incredibly unique. Open late, its the best study/working place Ive ever been! The coffee and pastries are really good too, plus the outside seating areas are comfortable and chill. Awesome all around.
It’s great to have a fully vegan option around town, but it would be even better if they trained their staff a little better. The wait/service in the food truck and Auk Market specifically need some *work*
I love this little coffee shop and their food truck. Their outdoor seating is unmatched
Great place for vegan / vegetarian eats, coffee, breakfast / snack goodies, and good beer. We love going to Curia for the relaxed atmosphere and tasty food.
A collection of building with a strong draw coffee shop with many selections. Pre and hopefully post COVID features live music, art, shops, vegan food, lots of local flavor. Students, professors, and townies about. Remains a gem in Gainesville. Relatively good parking.
We ordered a custom cake for my Moms 72nd birthday, and while the cake was delicious, we had an unfortunate experience with the cake pick up.We had asked and confirmed via email when we ordered to have Happy Birthday ___ put on the cake. When we picked up the cake, the Happy Birthday wasnt written on the cake, which is okay, mistakes happen. But, when we politely asked if it would be possible for them to write it on the cake, the barista / cashier was extremely rude and answered with no we cant do that in a passive aggressive tone.Again, the cake was delicious and the ordering experience with the baker was lovely, but our customer service experience was subpar and left a bad taste in our mouth.
I love this place everyone is always so nice
A great local coffee spot. I love the food truck!
Small, but good! Lots of outdoor seating. Peaceful environment. Good coffee and baked goods.
Its 9:45 am, the sign on the door says open but everything is dark and locked. hours posted and online say open at 7am...Edit* as I was leaving, I ran into two employees. I asked if they knew why Curia wasnt open, pointing out the open gate and the sign on the door. Because were closed, they said. I told them at least 5 people had come by since Id been there and tried to open the door then left. They replied, its because we are closed. Seriously, Sherlock? Not impressed by this staff, definitely not feeling the hospitality, and definitely disappointed that I drove across town for this.
Cool unique complex. Free wifi, beautiful outdoor seating. Good gluten free and vegan options
Great food and nice surroundings!
A comfortable outdoor place for coffee, beer or wine, and something to munch on. Its like the neighborhoods back yard.
The tea was a little overbrewed, but the rest of our experience was great!
Fun and funky vibe. The food is also very good.
Best place to hang out, study, or work. Great coffee, amazing whole leaf tea: black, green, oolong, white, herbal.
Curias outside atmosphere is definitely the best part about it. There is a lot of outside seating and the employees are usually nice. I appreciate their gluten free options when available, like their rare black bean empanada and especially their regular gf item, being the muffin. They experiment with the muffin flavors sometimes, but I think the best is the berry one. The other ones are flavored a bit weird, either too rich or clashing tastes. Sometimes they have gf cake, which is ok. The food truck is ok. The gluten free options are very limited, which sucks. In Covid times this is a good place to go and get a decent hot drink.
We stopped here because of the electric charging station and quickly discover this vegan food here! Really nice location and great food 🙂
Falafel wrap and loaded tots are delicious! love the outdoor seating also!
Amazing food and drinks and service!!
Kinda small inside, but super cute and laid back vibe. They have outdoor seating as well and it seems like maybe they host live music on certain nights? I noticed a small pavilion nearby and figured thats what its for but I could be wrong. My 3 year old didnt like his cookie but I loved the macchiato I ordered. It was quite small for the price but it got the job done. And may I just say it was by far the best espresso Ive ever had. Im usually a flavored syrup person but I ordered it plain and simple and it was delicious. Very smooth texture and rich flavor, not bitter at all. Id probably spend money here again!
The bagel bombs are bomb af 10/10 would reccomend. They make amazing vegan cakes order too.
Ordered a vegan pastry. It was ok. Pricey. Not the best customer service. The person who took mu order was rude.
Small but very decent place. Delicious coffee and food, great staff, good prices.
Great vegan food, my favorite being the spicy chicken wraps. My only complaint being they should use wraps without hydrogenated oil. (Bad for your complexion) Also really awesome ambience and art. Love the community garden.
I moved in the area a few months ago and I have never paid attention to this place. I have been there because friends wanted to meet there and I have to say that I was very impressed. They have a very very nice space outside that feels almost like being in a park. They have only Vegetarian options (that I am aware of) but to me thats is absolutely not a deal breaker. I didnt get anything special so I cannot comment for now about food or special drinks even if from the menu, they look rather inviting. They have a couple of small building, one is the cafe, one is a shop and then there is the bar. it definitely has its own special feeling and whats more, they are absolutely animal friendly so you can go there with your furry best friend.A place to try.
One of my favorite places in town to grab a coffee or beer and read outside on the multi-use property (coffee shop/ vintage shop/bar/food truck) . Highly recommend to everyone.
A very non-traditional cafe and restaurant. Vegan food including baked goods and brewed beverages. The food available from a food truck nearby the cafe is mostly made to order from a short list of daily offerings subject to availability. All fare sampled proved to be tasty and seemingly wholesome, good for a body. I mentioned that it was my birthday and while the cook running the truck apparently had no established policy about this kindly gifted me an order of Mac and vegan cheese. I felt honored and cared for. Recommended for a light meal and beverages in a very laid back space.
The BEST vegan food in Gainesville. Reasonable priced, fresh, and the outdoor seating is amazing. I will be back again and again.
Fantastic cold brew. The food is tasty and healthy. Lots of places to explore, not just the café. Friendly and helpful staff! The atmosphere is conducive to being productive on the inside, chatty outside with friends.
Excellent selection of beverages. From caffeine-free herbal teas to coffees and tea with caffeine, beer and more. Also nice selection of vegan sweets. The staff is always friendly and the environment is very laid-back and welcoming. Seating indoors and outdoors to satisfy whatever mood you are in. Also Grab & Go prepared food along with the option to walk back to the kitchen in a separate building and order a full meal. Im ready to go back anytime and know I will not be disappointed.
Nice place to chill and have coffee in peace.
Beautiful ambience, great coffee, good food and safe outdoor environment during coronavirus!
The only true 100% vegan place in town. It’s excellent food, service is pretty good! It would be nice if you didn’t always have to go to the bar to order food but it’s not a big deal. Highly recommend this place! Truly exceptional quality of food and ingredients.
Good vegan menu. Great mac & cheese. I recommend. The coffee shop has great pastries and cakes pride in their service.
Love Curia. It is definitely one of the hippest places in town (do people even say that anymore?). Anyway if youre looking for great culture, good coffee (or tea) and a delicious array of food with options for everyone, including those who are gluten free, then this is the place for you. Check it out!
Come here for: getting into the hipster scene.Rounding out the Gainesville coffee scene is Curia on the Drag. Here to offer denizens a cup of coffee among the most ‘unique’ members of the local society. The coffee is basic and good, at reasonable prices, there is (somewhat limited) seating indoors and out, and the servers are mostly friendly. Loses one star because the staff can be a bit moody and difficult to interact with.
Very cool place. They have one of the best vegan cakes in town and many non-dairy options for espresso drinks. The place is very cozy, but the amount of seating inside is reduced. Theres a balcony and an outdoor seating area as well. Theres also the possibility of walking to the building behind to Curia Off the Drag where you will find more tables and couches to enjoy your coffee and study or read.
Possibly the best coffee in Gainesville, particularly for espresso drinks. The milk they use is fantastic, and their baked goods are fantastic. Im not the biggest fan of their cake, but that be chalked up to me not liking frosting on my cake.
Fantastic place if you like healthy, fresh, and delicious food. Curia makes the tastiest vegan food in town. Beware-- theyre closed on Tuesday. After living in Gainesville for 9 years, I am so happy to have a lovely compound like Curia to eat, work, and drink coffee at.The coffee drinks at Curia are great as well. The community events are great, too. Last week, I went for lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised to see a plant exchange taking place just outside.
This place would be a little slice of heaven if the wifi was consistent throughout the property. Love the food, love the coffee, love love love the ambiance. I work remotely and would work in their amazing new pavilion every day if I could trust that the wifi wouldnt be so spotty. Maybe with this review, it issue will be fixed, and I will be their newest regular! Keep up all the great improvements!
Everything on the menu I absolutely love! They use higher end ingredients in everything they make and that is such a hard thing to find. It is also very well priced.
Underrated place to get a bite to eat while enjoying the weather.I was skeptical about their food offerings because Im not a vegetarian, or vegan. The Baja Tacos turned out to be a complete meal that was both filling and flavorful. I cannot complain, and privately I want to know how to make their recipe. I stop by two or three times a month to get these now.
I lived next door at The Manor and watched the creation of what turned out to be a truly creative time warp back to the 60s with their own unique touch of the psychedelic artsy mindset of that era. Theres a real, genuine atmosphere on this property from the coffee shop to the art shows and those late night concerts 🎼🎸🎷🎹. Ive been told their restaurant is pretty darn good as well! Its a great place to feel good. On a personal note, without question, what their hearts did for our friend Leroux will never ever be forgotten. Thank you!
