Great dairy free choices, coffee was a little weak on the flavoring but smooth. It took a few minutes to get acknowledged by an employee, even though there was a guy at the register, he stayed there and ignored us, than left. When he came back, he was nice and polite. Overall we enjoyed our weird visit
I loved this place for many reasons…Delicious ice cream, wow it was so good the one we chose; ginger cookie caramel. So creamy, not too sweet, and great portion served. The cost might be high but I know that vegan food is always more expensive.I liked the they use compostable plates and utensils. The service was great.
This was my very first time visiting Karma Cream and I was Very impressed! Everything looked Very clean, neat and in its proper place, the staff was Extremely friendly and the food choices were Awesome! I was visiting Gainsville from Savannah and was super happy to be able to enjoy a proper Vegan meal on my travels. The food was delicious and was prepared so fast it took me by surprise, lol! No sooner did I finish paying and my drink, Ice Cream and Cookie was already waiting for me and before I could even finish sweating my drink, my sandwich was ready for me to eat! Wonderful service 👏 and great atmosphere, I cant wait to be in town again and try more of the menu items and Ice Cream! Keep up the Great work and hope to see you again Soon! 😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Delicious and fresh! Original flavors that you dont really see in too many places! Also a great environment, awesome music
Came here on a Thursday night, not terribly busy, which is definitely a bonus! I came with some friends and the staff were absolutely delightful, super kind, and just seemed friendly overall. The general atmosphere inside was very welcoming and quite trendy I felt, positive for sure!I got a single scoop of pistachio nut which was made without milk, and it only came out to like $4.50. Personally never been a big fan of milk-less ice cream, and this wasnt an exception. Im not used to the taste but it was still good overall, and i believe anyone who enjoys milk-less ice cream would enjoy this for sure. I could definitely taste the pistachio though!Sadly this type of ice cream isnt for me but i can still tell its quality so otherwise its a great business. I will say they do have a lot of other options like sandwiches and all kinds of local coffee.
Taking a star off because I felt the portion size was too small for the price.Went there for ice cream and some to go lunch. I got the s’mores ice cream and it was really good. A little on the sweeter side for me but the flavor was great. I ordered a burger for lunch which was quite small for the price I paid ($7). The flavor was very good though so full points on that front. I also got a few things (chocolate chip cookie, a muffin and a double cookie cake) to satisfy my sweet tooth. They all had good flavor.I will definitely go there again if I am in the area and will probably order more food to ensure I feel full.
Hands down best cafe in Gainesville, my heart is happy anytime I come here
An amazing 17! flavors of organic ice cream. We tried several and they were all delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Love this place! All the employees are incredibly nice. The pastries are beautiful & delicious and the specials are always so yummy. Wish there were more frequent GF and savory options but other than that, cant be beat!
Absolutely amazing! I just went Vegan and I also just moved to Gainesville and I think this is the place. A cute little restaurant that feels like the city wouldnt be the same without. When I went I tried their breakfast sandwich which was so delicious. I dont remember what coffee I got but it was really good too. The only drawback of this place is that its a bit expensive, but its reasonable for the quality of the food. Im just sad I cant afford to come more often.
My first visit confirmed other negative reviews. The staff was actually plainly rude to me. My second visit, the waffle cones were rock hard stale and couldnt be enjoyed. My third and my last visit was strike three. I got my daughter a double scoop and the first scoop looked like a skimpy 4oz, but the second scoop on top was ridiculous... easily less than 1oz.Rude, stale, ripoff.Im sick of giving this place a chance. I now go to publix and get 2 tubs of vegan ice cream and some cones for less than $15. Thats enough to make about 8 double scoops, about $50 before tip if you choose to get that many at CK.
Wow!! Had a Reuben sandwich (vegan) and while I am not even vegan, it was INCREDIBLE! I ate it so fast I forgot to even take a picture! Same went for the iced matcha I had, also SO good and not grassy at all! Will DEFINITELY be back, loved the sustainable nature of this place (sustainable/compostable to-go containers) and the way they stay true to their values! ☺️☺️
The deserts are the best we ever had! Can’t believe it’s vegan. Especially their coffee cupcakes. They have unique flavors like lavender, rose, cardomom. They also are a very sustainable business (give out no plastic), which we really admire. Owner is nice and workers are friendly too. Would recommend!! Karma Cream makes our day.
We had the vegan Club and Breakfast sandwich and they both were very flavorful and delicious. Friendly service, but a little slow. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food and it wasnt busy at all. Still a very nice place and I would come here again to try out other menu items.
The vegan breakfast sandwich was delicious! Exactly what I was craving this morning. The wait after ordering was on the longer side, but worth it. Good coffee & friendly service.
This is one of my favorite vegan spots! I come for the breakfast sandwich and oat milk latte. Very high quality espresso. Their baked goods are also very good. The chocolate chip cookies are (in my opinion) the best in town, and the croissants are amazing. I wish they had the croissants all the time! I have noticed that their icing (on cupcakes) and cream fillings tend to be too sweet, but thats just my opinion.I read some reviews about bad customer service, but I personally have never had a negative experience. The staff isnt always the warmest, and orders come out slowly, but its always been worth it!
Its always great to have vegan ice cream places but this place wasnt great. First, the good: the staff was nice. Next, the bad: We both got milkshakes, and they did not have milkshake straws. They had very thin straws and the chunks in the milkshake instantly got stuck in them. I had to wait until I got home to use a spoon. How does a milkshake place miss something so basic? In addition, the milkshake was just meh. I had a bangin milkshake from Joyfully Baked yesterday (complete with proper straw) and would definitely go back there before I came here again. Also, the milkshake was over $7. Justifiable if it is great, but given the above issues, its a bad value. Wont come back here for a milkshake. Cant speak for the rest of the menu.Update: I came back for the vegan breakfast sandwich and it was absolutely delicious, so I am revising my review to 4 stars. I still would warn against getting a milkshake, but man that vegan breakfast sandwich was good.
Karma Cream never disappoints. Even with the hardships they must be experiencing right now their pastries, coffee, and service are always on point. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Gainesville 3 years ago and it’s my absolute favorite place to grab a treat. I’m looking forward to the day I can once again sit at the bar top or one of the outdoor tables and savor one (or more) of their creations. For now I’ll settle for takeout.
First time there. They had nice selections. The breakfast sandwich was really good. I would definitely go again.
Staff was super sweet and helpful. I took my mom for her bday to get some sweets. We were not disappointed the ice cream is amazing.
Love their gluten and dairy free ice cream. Tons of different kinds. The place is amazing. Very yummy.
The breakfast sandwich is awesome! They have a ton of really tasty guilt free ice cream flavors and pretty amazing pastries.
Really disappointed. Good tasting ice cream, however Im pretty sure it was the owner who served us.. He was sweeping the floor, didnt change his plastic glove and got our ice cream cones, then handed them to us.. (Even though their policy is no contact when it comes to food, no hand to hand contact) There were a few customers in there, I didnt feel like making a scene. Yet, they are super strict on no samples bc of germs! Please get it together Karma Cream. What goes around certainly comes around. It was pretty gross thinking about how long and what that glove touched before our food.
Had a vegan breakfast sandwich and it was Soooo good. Paired it with a oatmilk matcha latte which was also good, not the best Ive had, but good. The sandwich though I nearly inhaled. I was in and out in 5 mins or less.
The lady taking my order was very rude. Please learn how to talk to people. We drove out of town to come here.
Definitely the go-to spot! My family and I are vegan, if you arent vegan everything is still the absolute bomb.
Coffee here is divine. They use coffee cubes in the iced coffee drinks
The ice cream we had yesterday was smooth and creamy deliciousness!
Good coffee, good desserts and plenty of vegan uptions. We had a cupcake and it was the best Ive ever eaten, super moist. The coffee was well made and the place is super clean and tidy. Will be comming back!
Breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, oat milk cappuccino... best breakfast ever!
Stopped by on our way to Georgia. Four of us each had different sandwiches. We all enjoyed them and stopped again on our way back. We ordered online the second time. If we lived closer, we would eat there more often. We only saw metered curbside parking but didnt have any trouble finding a spot.
This place is great for finding gluten and dairy free options! I feel good knowing that I can bring my friends here and we can all enjoy something. :)
Excellent service and delicious vegan food.
Hip little space with many vegan food options, an impressive espresso machine, a nice variety of vegan ice cream flavors, vegan/gluten free sweet treats. Four of us went to get some ice cream. We were pleased to see so many delicious choices. While the place is definitely hopping with business, the place is nice and clean. Its a small space, not much room for social distancing. Everyone did their best to honor personal space. Masks are required. No exceptions. To Go only. There are a few tables outside. No table service. Counter service only. I had the chocolate peanut butter milk shake. It was really good. Beware though, ask what kind of milk they are going to use. Im not sure why, but they have cow milk. Everything else presents as vegan. I found that odd. Our whole group was pleased with the ice cream. Two of us went back the next morning for breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich on biscuit. Very good choice. My other half got the spicy chickpea wrap and was pleased. We also got the raspberry lemon lavender macaroon and the peanut butter cookie (v/gf). Give this place a try.
Finally had an opportunity to get over to Karma Cream after hearing so many amazing things. I can say, everyone was wrong - this place is beyond anything Ive heard. The ice cream is incredibly creamy and not overly sweet, the coffee is rich and smooth. The VegCubano IS AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH - so good, so good. Its a bit small and fills up fast, so take your nummies to go. Feels like a coffee shop Id see back in NYC, very chill with too many choices for one visit.
Horrible service. Went in there with my family a couple days ago and the employees were so rude. My sister walked in and barely had her mask below her nose, the employee leaned over and shot her a hateful look, went all Karen on her immediately for not having the mask completely over her nose. Didn’t ask in a nice tone, didn’t even give her half a chance, then in a extremely passive aggressive tone, yelled out “have a wonderful day!” as we left. Literally so hostile. I couldn’t believe it. Geeez, give people a chance. We left and went to a different place that was much kinder and polite. Talk about bad Karma..P.S.They won’t do taste testing anymore so you don’t know if you’re getting curdled goat milk or cardboard baby food aka “organic shot of espresso” over your Cup of $7 garbage..Don’t waste your time or money!
The sandwiches are amazing. The vegan butcher they use is amazing.
Delicious vegan ice cream and desserts! Friendly and courteous staff. Very clean and employees were all masked up. My new favorite dessert spot!
The best milkshakes I’ve had anywhere
Beat vegan spot in Gainesville. We were there 2 days and ate here 3 times. Will definitely go back if Im ever in Gainesville.
I had a horrible experience, the employees are xenophobic, I am Colombian and because I did not know how to pronounce some things well and did not understand the menu well they made me feel horrible, so much so that the person who was with me who spoke English perfectly decided not to return to This place because he realized the bad treatment, the truth is that it had a very bad time and these in the 21st century is bad, places like this cannot continue to exist and less in such a multicultural place that is Gainesville because it is known that it has the most university major from all over Florida and many people from other countries come here to study.
Great vib, came here for a friend who cant have dairy and was pleasantly surprised by the place. The barista really knew what he was doing. Amazing drinks! (Nice art and coffee ice cubes) We also had ice cream with an espresso shot on top, great cookie sandwich, As well as the vegan ice cream! We will be back for sure! Well worth the extra drive! It was crowded with college kids. But where its located its expected if the place is decent. They get through the lines quickly. Didnt seem long at all and they were staffed to handle the customers.
Best vegan food!My wife and I recently moved to Gainesville from Tampa and we’ve had a difficult time finding ANY vegan shops. We finally found this gem and it’s amazing. The pastries were delicious and the sandwiches were even better. I highly recommend this place to everyone not just those who are looking for vegan food. We’ll definitely be frequent customers.
Best vegan breakfast sandwich Ive had. Definitely have me hope for vegan spots in Gainesville
Very tasty sandwiches. Lots of different ice cream flavors.
My daughter loved going to this place while attending UF. Shes going miss it!
Some of the best people in town work here. Absolute gems of human beings.
Get their iced vanilla latte…it’s the best!
Visiting Gainesville and was pleasantly surprised! Great food and coffee!
Amazing vegan food. My favorite cold brew in town.
Vegan ice cream cookie sandwich and the tempeh breakfast sandwich are two things i will get every time i ever visit gainesville. transcendent flavors
Absolutely fantastic plant-based coffee/ice cream/sandwich shop! I’ve been twice - once for ice cream and coffee and once for breakfast. Both times I absolutely loved my coffee and my food. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vegan-friendly eatery in the Gainesville area.
Known for coffee and ice cream. But my favorite part is the grilled cheese! Its amazing.
It’s great to have a delicious vegan place in town!
Amazing food. SLOW SERVICE
I appreciate the overall vibe of Karma Cream, in terms of what kinds of foods and pastries they have. I am giving three stars because they rarely ever have gluten free options, and when they do, its not the most enticing. I have had their chai a few times, the first two times were good and the next two times very bland. The employees are sometimes friendly and other times seem apathetic. I would support more if there were gluten free savory options and regular gf baked goods. But for now I have just stopped going. Really hope they become more inclusive to people with sensitivities to gluten.
They took for ever to give us a sandwich plus that give our sandwich to another coustemer.
Sharing my experience across all platforms.Ive got to say, very disappointed in the experience with this place today. Words cannot explain the amount of discontent that I felt this morning. I think disgusted would be to light of a word for me to use. Kyle, the owner was very unpleasant to deal with and very unwelcoming. I walked in at 1030am to order 9 breakfast vegan sandwiches and although the lady at the front was okay with taking the order, she mentioned there would be a bit of a wait. I didnt mind of course, weve actually done this before and waited close to an hr for it but That never bothered us because its quality of food for us, not the excessive time, and with the restrictions of the food, its necessary. My brother and his wife, who are vegan, love this place and a few of us from out of town were visiting wanted to eat clean with them for the weekend but were hammered for it. Mind you, this is my 3rd time visiting Karma cream and have had a good experience everytime and I am exceptionally disappointed with the hostility i was met with today. Kyle literally faced me with anger it seemed and complained on how I was setting him back and ruining the whole morning by ordering 9 breakfast sandwiches, which once again, I told the girl at the front I did not mind waiting on. He proceeded to throw a fit saying they pretty much didnt have the capacity to complete my order and this would mess with the overall flow for the restaurant this morning. Thank you Kyle. I am very shocked your the owner and that you would complain to well paying customers about making more money this morning. Maybe it didnt help that I was the only African American there at the moment? Wearing all black? Hopefully this didnt trigger something but very ironic that THIS TIME I would have this issue.Hoping for your continued success but as for me and my money, we will not be visitng your store ever which is unfortunate but we will be finding better in the area.Be blessed and thank you for the eye opening experience.

I cant be in Gainesville without visiting Karma Cream. With tons of amazing desserts and delicious entrees, I cant recommend this enough to vegans and omis alike.
It’s cute, but there were like 50 workers and my drink took 15 minutes to make. Also very over priced for the size/quality.
Great vegan sandwiches and desserts! 🥰
One of my favorite vegan restaurants in Gainesville it is a must visit resturaunt while youre a student at UF, local or visiting even if you arent vegan. It doesnt hurt to try new, and delicious, food.
Our favouritest place in Gainesville! We go there every couple of days, if not everyday. Warm staff, who are almost friends by now. Quick service, warm settings and the place has a beautiful positive vibe to it :) it’s my pick-me-up place whenever I feel low.
This place is really cool. It has awesome food (the ice cream is delicious!) and it has a lot of non-dairy options, which is great for vegans. The atmosphere is great and has a very chill vibe. Its a nice place to hang out with friends.
Really good vegan sandwiches and treats. Highly recommend
I ordered the - Grill cheese vegan yummy 😋 sandwich 🥪 with hot Chocolate ☕️steamed with oat milk and the fresh soft moist chocolate chip brownie 😋 is simply the best.I’m very happy 😃 I have discovered this vegan friendly café.Reasonably priced, fresh vegan options . Melted grill cheese with tomato on whole wheat bread, Fresh baked pastries and desserts, friendly staff, clean comfortable tables and seating areas.
Delicious icecream for affordable cost
Their oat milk latte is so good. The chocolate croissant is good. Been here a couple of times and can say everything Ive ordered thus far has been good. Nice atmosphere and the service is nice too. Also if you arent up for coffee, they have ice cream! Would recommend.
Horrible service. Such rude customer service. Employees were all mad and acted as if they hate their jobs. Learn customer service!
Always excellent service and delicious food with great presentation.
Cool place!
I live right next door to Karma Cream, and I love going there to support a small business. The drinks and pastries are always delicious. My main problem is that I have been disappointed in the service lately. Often, the person taking my order will carry on a conversation with a previous customer while dealing with me, or I feel a little unwelcome. Recently, my in-person order was completely forgotten while the store was completely empty, and I was left waiting for 10+ minutes. The barista was very apologetic which I appreciated (it wasnt her fault).
