I think the overall harshness of the parking is an exaggeration. It is true at times. But parking is parking, and people have places to be. It could be better yes, but I always find parking no problem.The staff here is always kind and helpful. Management, always A1 and available to help.In-store is always good and clean, and has everything well organized and sorted.My main issue is ordering ANYTHING online at this location. I would say 8 out of 10 times, something gets canceled from my order and I either have to order it from Aspen Hill, (farther away but always completes my order), but often times I have to go in to the store myself, go to the correct isle, find it on the shelf, and then bring it to customer service to fix my order and ask why it was canceled when they had it.The inventory tends to always be off, and those who pull the orders cancel for no reason. This is annoying for obvious reasons, but as a business, I have to gather and file receipts not only for completed orders, but also canceled ones which means I have more back end work for their lack of excellence.Overall a great place to shop, but man their online team drives me crazy at times, but yet, I still order from there because its convenient, and the staff is always friendly, but please, fix your inventory and online experience.
Like most places, you can order online and do curbside pickup.Awesome plant deal this week! $12.50 for 3 gallon double knockout roses. Actually all roses were 50% off. Azaleas were $6.88 for a gallon pot, more than 50% off. The guy at the plant area was friendly and helpful on a rainy day😀

As a GC & Builder, I’ve been shopping this store ever since it opened. The 4 & 5 star ratings must be by new customers that have nothing else to reference or compare this store’s performance to, and thus believe its a model performer when it’s not.With a few exceptions of outright rudeness (and in one case maniacal behavior) the staff are generally friendly, but worthless in their knowledge of the products they sell, where these products are located in the store, and why they’re not where the HD website says they can be found despite having dozens on hand supposedly. (Translation = Lost Time & Sales)Sadly this problem is systemic as all HD stores have recently undergone a storewide national redesign. (It’s called a Planogram Reorganization in an attempt to increase sales and efficiency.) I cannot tell you how many times I intervened and instructed fellow customers to where they can find the products they’re looking for and how to properly use them when staff were unable to.Normally my team and I could zoom through this store (back in 2007) stack up a high-dollar purchase and exit within 30 minutes. It took us over 3+ hours to do the same thing just yesterday while listening to the TWILIGHT ZONE theme on continuous loop over the loud speakers... No lie... lolEfficiency?... down to ZERO! If this is the new standard of excellence, God help us!
I wish a better customer service is available at the store. There’s no one to check availability of the items or explain the features of any item in the store. No one bothers to check availability of asked and they just have a standard answer “ we are out of it”. I requested for help to load something in my car and no one bothered till I asked for a Manager who came in to Garden Section but was so casual in his approach.

Great if you are searching for home improvement tools for your home or DIY projects. I went on a Thursday evening. It wasn’t busy, customer service and staff are very friendly and know the store by heart! I was looking for a glass cutter and an indoor flower pot. I found the first thing but they had limited option for the latter one. They also respect all the covid measure. I was also offered $5 off one of my items that looked damaged! It was a nice visit

Parking, loading nightmare, do to the parking structure erected as a parking lot.A store like this doesnt work in a 2 story parking building. Good luck if you drive a full sized truck. Once inside its fine, until you exit and try to unload your cart.Lowes is 10 minutes away, with a wide open lot and wide loading area.What were they thinking!

Customer services really really bad lately. An employee dropped a half gallon paint two feet’s from me to inappropriate practice and he never asked if I was ok while he checked his shoes. Needless to say I lost my running shoes and pants.Another case. I bought a garage door panel on august after several work days trying to find an employee able to make the order. Came back three weeks after because haven’t received the the item nor an update. Then, The employee started laughing in front of me realizing the item will be received on December. I was speechless.
Their customers service is the the worst. When you call the windows and doors department they do not answer the phone. Then when I try again I have to go thru a different dept and yet hte do not answer. The Gaithersburg depot doesnt answer their calls even when you have an order number. They are quick to take money but service is the worst. Im taking my busines some where else.

Good location. Generally has what you want. Dont expect helpful service finding things, just download the home Depot app and it will tell you what aisle and bin the item you are looking for is located.

Garden center staff member unhelpful: we asked for a specific item and he asked *us* if the store had it. When he whipped out his phone, I assumed he was looking it up. Nope. He was on social media leaving us to look it up. Useless employee, there are other people out there who need that job more. Another employee was helpful before we ran into him, though.Generally speaking, the place is okay otherwise.
This is the worst home depot that i have been to. I went there to get flowers and mulch. I picked up a peony on 50% off on clearance section as they are clearing all the peonies because the season is over. While checking out the cashier will not honor the price as one of the pot is missing the clearance price tag. I told her I got it from the clearance section and all the peonies are on sale. She argued with me they are different. I told her they are the same as the original sku are the same. They are all in the same clearance section when the season is over. The cashier didnt want to go there to check but insist to charge me full price. I ended up didnt buy it. Thats not my loss if they dont want my business. But I bought 20 bags of mulch which was the main reason for me to go to home depot. But when I drove my car to the mulch area, there was no one working there. I ended up having to move all 20 bags of mulches into my car. After I was done, I saw 5 of home depot employees were standing on the side chatting. This was such a joke. I dont know what happened to Home depot customer service in this location, I would not go back to that store in the future for sure. Home depot manager of this store, please provide more training to your employees.
Love this store when you get inside, I take a star off for the often-filled parking lot and surprisingly tight roadway in/out of the lower level parking, have to be careful at the three-way stop at the bottom not to hit any cars or watch for cars that dont stop at the stop signs.
This place is always a zoo. The parking lot is overcrowded and chaotic. There are a mountains of materials and products making the situation even more difficult. The pedestrians cannot avoid walking in and around the swarm of vehicles. There are frequent backups and traffic jams while people load materials into their vehicles. I avoid this store whenever possible. It is a great location geographically, but the site is way too small and the traffic patterns are horrible. If the site was twice the size, it would be great, but as it is, its just a big mess.
I am replacing my basement carpet with luxury vinyl plank. The floor is done and Im installing quarter round molding along the baseboards. I had purchased some of the molding a few weeks ago and I used it all up. I stopped by Home Depot in Germantown to buy more. There was none left in the rack and the sales associates didnt think anymore was left in stock. I looked online and found 5 pieces at the Germantown store. I just purchased those pieces online and Im waiting for the store to text me when the order is ready. Ill be interested to see if they actually have the molding in stock and if they process my order quickly.

This location of Home depot is one of the better locations largely due to the managing staffs attention to detail with there employees. Everyone there is paired in the right departments to give the best customer service. I walked in looking for a concrete blade to use on my grinder and the associate found the right blade for me in mere seconds. At checkout crystal was absolutely amazing, she was personable, engaged right way, even talked about anime when she noticed my naruto face cover.
First Home Depot Ive been to that looks like this place. Lots of selections and plants were plentiful and healthy. Staff were friendly as well. Would return if Im the area.

This Home Depot store completely messed up the order of our garbage disposal. We waited and waited for a month and they never notified us the status/arrival of the disposal. When we asked finally they said they had no idea where it went! The manager even accused us for picking it up already! It was quite shocking. Then it cost us several trips to sort out a mistaken made by the store (as they asked us to return the parts we did receive and then re-place the whole order again). Normally when a store faulted like this and caused much inconvenience to the customers, they (especially the supervisor) would offer some kind of courtesy/gesture to apologize, but this store did not. They together represent not only the poor management of the store/products/orders but also unprofessional provision of services.

If I could give this place less than a 1 star I would. Customer service could use some serious training. My husband wanted to rent a uhaul truck. I looked online and saw that they have a uhaul truck Available at the Gaithersburg location in Maryland. I tried calling them several times no one would answer the phone. When my husband showed up they informed him that it wasn’t Available even though he saw the truck parked outside. They refused to provide him with a valid explanation as to why the truck isn’t Available for him. The best part of all, if you go online the truck is still being shown as Available.Its’s worth noting my husband isn’t white, and English is his second language. Now I couldn’t help but wonder if he was white, would the truck all of a sudden be Available? They should be ashamed of themselves. We will never shop there again!

I was very disappointed that when I got home to find that my side orders were wrong.A young man mistakenly left off my plantain side and put 1 large side of black beans a small side of black beans.I was too tired an the restaurant was too far to take back so I just felt with the mistake.What really get means that I left a tip for this bad service.Its bad to think that you always have to check your order before leaving the restaurant.
They quickly restock and keep the place clean. Highly recommend this branch.

I’ve been using this location for years and never had a bad experience. The new manager Manuel Trabelsi was no help at all. I bought an electric pressure washer a few month ago with a three year warranty and they keep having problems. Last manager help me out exchange the old one and I bought the extended HD warranty as well. Manuel came in and said we can’t return it you have call the manufacturer to get the refund. If i wanted to call the manufacturer I wouldn’t get the home depot warranty. Didn’t have time to argue, but wanted to leave this review.
Horrible place . I love Home Depot’s but this one is most difficult all around. Parking, rude and unwilling employees, very sad .
Really poor experience . I don’t shop at Home Depot on a regular all I wanted was 3 things. None of the floor associates wanted to help me. All of them said they were busy. I had to go to customer service and they assisted me. It took me a full hour standing there waiting . Won’t be back

I live in Va so I tried to call ahead to see if someone can put their hands on an item that theyre showing stock of (GaithersburgMD). My call was transferred around departments and everytime my call was sent to the customer service desk Id get hung up on. Apparently someone there may not want to do their job.
I’m not entirely sure what the occupancy regulations currently are for stores during COVID but I’ve been to this locations three times during the pandemic and it is PACKED. Parking lot full, people EVERYWHERE. I don’t know if they are successfully enforcing the use of masks or if the customers just choose to wear them, but that wasn’t the problem. It just seems like there was way too many people in the store than should have been during an international health crisis. Makes me think they’re putting the bottom line over the safety of their staff and customers. Avoid during peak hours if at all possible.
I love to shop in this branch. This year I purchased an ‘as is’ house, as a result I have been renovating my house since May. Employees like BA, Natalie, Tina, John at pro desk, mike and Stacy (managers), Sean at kitchen Dept, David at decking Dept.this list goes on and on. In general all employees in this beach are wonderful. I have been in other Homedept beaches as well but this branch in my opinion is something else. I have experienced it almost on daily basis this year. Thx to all of you

Stock of products is OK. Prices are generally too high. Lowes or Harbor Freight usually have lower prices for equivalent items.
I like this location way better than the one in Aspen Hill. Its better stocked up with stuff. At least they have the 20x24x1 HVAC filters I cant seem to find onsite anywhere else.

My favorite store. I feel like a kid in a candy shop. Store is nestled in a cozy shopping center, driven by great staff and filled with excellent inventory. Staff has always been extremely helpful and professional.Just recently rented out a van for removing some moving boxes and trash. The van is awesome, back and side door for loading. Low down enough to step in with ease. Its deep and wide enough to fill up quite a bit of things, including full size rugs, tables, shelving units, wooden boards, etc. If you need to buy something big and dont want it to be rained on, get this van. Youll be glad you did.
It is Home Depot, what more is there to say. This is a well stocked and well maintained location.

Update: July 2020 - for some reason they changed their curbside pickup process and is now a very long and painful process. First of all the online order is not process nearly as quickly as it was at the beginning. It takes almost 24 hours for it to be processed and then when you go in, there are no employees waiting outside to assist with your order. You now have to wait till you get the confirmation and then go to the location and call in to let them know you are there. At this rare, you might as well go in and get your stuff when you need it.I must add that the staff is very helpful and friendly!Curbside pickup is the way to go! At first I was very skeptical but then Id much rather shop online and then go pick them up. This works very well if you know what you are looking but even if you want to browse you can do it online.Less contact, faster service and safer way to shop!

Nightmare appliance purchase/installation experience from the Home Depot in Gaithersburg MD #2550! We purchased a dishwasher from the Home Depot. It was installed by Home Depot. The installers left the paper manuals inside the dishwasher and ran the dishwasher with the papers inside before they left. They quickly left and did not let us know that this had happened.We called Home Depot several times to try to get this fixed. They blamed the delivery company that they hired to install the dishwasher. The delivery company wants to turn it over to their insurance company. The insurance company wants us to get two estimates to get the whole mess fixed.
Not bad but you cant count on what their online inventory tells you. Wish there was a more accurate way of knowing whats in stock.

Standard HD experience. They got what youre looking for and the online app will show u what isle its in if you cant find someone to help which is pretty easy to do.
Selection is good, but most of the people there are not helpful. They act like they are doing you a favor by answering any questions or they just dont have a clue.
I placed an order online on Wednesday Aug 12 for same day pickup. I did not receive a text saying it was ready to pick up until Saturday August 15. When I arrived the order wasnt even ready, and I had to wait for quite some time. I dont understand what takes 3 days to pull something off a shelf, not to mention what the purpose in sending a message saying the item is ready when it isnt. The employees at the customer service desk were not helpful at all either. Pathetic.Edit: once I spoke to Mike, an assistant manager, everything was much better. He was very helpful and took care of the order for me. Changed from 1 star to 4 because of him. The rest of the experience was still pretty bad.
I had bought an item for 180(retail 230) b4 I got there for pick up. Worst customer service I have seen. Waited 35 minutes and they couldnt find it. I tried to go through the manager Richard.next day they canceled without an e mail/call. Very unprofessional. What if I drove back not knowing it was canceled. I called. Richard said Tuesday should be back in stock. I called Tuesday they say its in stick. then call me back and say it wasnt. Very unusual. Next day I call and ask if I can speak to Richard and she said he wasnt in. As I was asking if it was back in stock she hung up on me. Very unprofessional and poorly managed compared to germantown.took my business to best buy.insteqd. Very disappointing.
Did all my shopping and got to the front and found out I cant pay with google or apple pay. Normally this wouldnt be an issue, but Im waiting on a new debit card since my old one was compromised. Its 2021. This isnt new technology. Update your store.
Ive had good and bad experiences here. Its usually PACKED like crazy. Everything is laid out well and employees are helpful IF you can get them to give you a moment of their time.
I asked one person where a shelf unit was, we couldnt find it, so he asked a lady in another department and she found it high up on top shelves. She requested a crane person to bring it down, helped me load three units and pushed my cart thru checkout & outside (because I was pushing a Christmas tree in another cart) because she wanted to be helpful. I know we all have been cooped up at home making our list to dos. I actually used to enjoy the Free Saturday classes they would offer. I noticed they are located on-line but it doesnt seem as fun. Last time I was here I saw mice going through the plumbing section. I was going through there from the appliances. I think they have rodent problem.

They dont always have what they say on their website when you look up an items on-line. They might say that they have 6 of the items that youre looking for at this location and 8 items in stock at another location, so you drive there only to find out they have ZERO items in stock. Then to make matters worse, the staff tells me not to trust what it says on their website and that their inventory is always wrong. What? Something is seriously wrong with them!!!! They lost my trust and have been driving out of my way to Frederick and Gaithersburg to go to Lowes, which seems to have more accurate control of their inventory. I just spent over $3k on plumbing supplies and lighting fixtures at Lowes for a a major bathroom remodel. So, Home Depot missed out on my money.
Oct 30 2021 Updated Review - Home Depot is close so I go here. They have just gone through a re-design of the store which means lots of changes. First, it is much easier to return items with an entire dedicated section of terminals and staff. But its now harder to find things that have moved to new sections and not all staff know the sections yet. The worst part is the checkout when its busy. There is no organization at any of the stations, especially self-checkout. There might be one or two staff trying to direct but as soon as their attention is called away, chaos resumes. I thought I was waiting in line and someone just strolls past with hands full of stuff and starts to check out. The staff just apologized. Without six feet of spacing and dots on the floor, people dont know how to act right with each other.

I really do not like to shop at places where the Parking Lot and inside of the shopping is Cluttered, Dirty, and Unorganized. This is why Im giving this Particular Home Depot 3 Stars. Even the Cash Register Workers can be much more Professional, Courteous, and Pleasant.
