I had Brake work repairs and old headlights replaced and work done on my door locks sticking. Roger was beyond fast to return my trucks to me. One of my trucks was at a Boise Ford dealer for 2 weeks and they still did not fix my truck. Fair prices on the work and really knowledgeable. Recently had a scheduled maintenance service completed (Brake Fluid Flush.) It was my first time in the shop and I was impressed by the friendly helpfulness of both the owner (Roger) and mechanic (Darryl). Both of these gentlemen provided good information about the current servicing and when to anticipate further service. Honest, straightforward shop with excellent service and reasonable labor fees. Ive found my auto repair shop in the Boise area!

Roger and Daryl are awesome! They are super nice, honest guys. They’ll tell you what they think is exactly wrong and explain it to you, and if they don’t know they’ll research until they do. They also won’t try to charge you up the behind for things, or try talking you into buying things you don’t need. They genuinely care, and I appreciate that about them a lot. Definitely take your vehicle into them, you won’t regret it.

Honest, trustworthy, reliable and good. Did I mention honest? A friend recommended State Street Auto to me more than 10 years ago, and I have been taking all of our cars to Roger ever since. They fix things correctly the first time, their prices are better than reasonable, and most importantly -- they are 100% honest and trustworthy. More than once, Ive taken in a car expecting a hefty repair job, only to have Roger tell me it was something minor and send me on my way with a ridiculously low bill. Earlier this year, a friend who had already taken his car to another repair shop asked me who Id suggest. The other repair shop had charged him nearly $400 and his car still wasnt working. I told him to go to State Street Auto. They found that a cable that needed to be replaced, which fixed the problem, and charged him only $45. Like I said, honest and trustworthy.

State Street Auto is one of the best if not the best auto repair shop in town. Rodger and crew are competent and honest. They will never try to rip you off by doing unnecessary work. Plus, unusual for a small shop, they may have a loaner car you can use. I highly recommend, except for the fact that if you make an appointment, it may be harder for me to get one!

For decades (yes, decades) my family has had Roger take care of our cars. We have two types of cars: one is new and one is a very old (1987 Samurai) . Roger has the unusual experience to tune the engine, old and new, and adjust a finicky carburetor on the Suzuki Samurai. Hes always gone the extra mile. Most mechanics I know wont even attempt to tune a non computerized engine.I have never had a bad experience....also, he keeps my finances in mind (Im Retired and glad of it)Roger is # 1 in our satisfaction.
