I brought my car in with a concern about the airbag light being on and a service airbag light on. They checked and found that things were working just fine and I didnt need any service. 5 minutes and $0. I know nothing about cars, and could easily get swindled, but was so grateful for their honesty and kindness. I will definitely and gladly come back when my car needs work.

This happened back in January, 2019, but I felt this needed to be added.I went to 4 different shops and their quotes were crazy high. Joses wife was driving me for Uber and heard me talking about my car needing repairs. She gave me his number, I took my truck over there, and he gave me an estimate a third of what other shops were asking. And when the job took longer than he expected, him and his wife gave me their truck for the weekend.Ive been recommending this guy to everyone since that experience. Best mechanic Ive found since I moved west. Hell always get my business!

Jose and Danny met my expectations in every area and exceeded them in two ways.First, I had an alternator that was defective and Jose not only looked up the warranty information, but went down the street to get a replacement at no charge. This really surprised me.They replaced my alternator with a working one and it has worked perfectly since then.Second, I came across them because I was stranded across the street with my three boys in tow. Danny asked if I needed a jump when I told him I was going to take it down the street to a competitor. He did not mention Wrench and Ratchet until the jump was complete, sparing me a tow. This was after hours and Danny treated me without any requirement that I take my car to them.Needless to say, after not only getting me out of a towing bind, and Jose fixing the alternator and also performing a diagnostic to make sure my car could defrost in the morning, I am thrilled to have found such an honest, reliable, and competent mechanic. And only five minutes from my house!Thanks Danny, and thanks Jose. I’ll entrust my power steering leak to you next when it’s in my budget.

Jose fixed my heating system the same day I dropped it off. HIs shop is clean and professional. Jose is very nice and wants to make sure you understand what the problem is and how he will fix it. I am glad to know who my car mechanic is now.

The location is a little off the beaten path, but the service is excellent, and you will find nothing but honesty from this mechanic. I had Jose fix a problem with my car starting and rather than just fixing something, he told me that it might be a less expensive problem. We tried a few things until we really knew what was going on. Needless to say, I was impressed with his honesty and knowledge of how to fix problems. I will definitely be returning.

World class service each and every time! I will not take my car anywhere else. Even after buying a brand new car from the dealership and having bad Automotive Care at Ford I still keep bringing it back to Jose. Its hard to find honest mechanics and Jose is definitely one.

For the past two months my jeep has been in and out of mechanics shops only to repeatedly have to go back in for additional expensive repairs. As a 22 year old female and new college graduate, with no family in the area (except for a sister who is just as uneducated as me when it comes to car repairs) this was a very frustrating and expensive cycle I was in with my car. I often feel taken advantage of when I have car troubles because I am not educated about the mechanics of my car or why the issues my car was having continued to occur.The other night when driving to the grocery store my car died after having just been repaired for hundreds of dollars in October. When I was walking alone and in the dark to a mechanic shop I saw down the road, a couple pulled over and offered their help. The woman, Sara said her husband, Jose, was a mechanic and would take a look at my car for me. She told me they wanted to help because I reminded her of her daughter and they understood my frustration in finding a trustworthy mechanic. Jose told me exactly what needed to be fixed. Then they graciously gave me a ride back to my house, we exchanged phone numbers, and planned to have my car towed to his shop, Wrench and Ratchet Auto Repair, to be repaired the next day. Jose and Sara then even went so far as to offer to let me use their spare car for the next day so I could get to and from work. That next day, during my lunch break, Sara waited for the tow truck with me, drove me back to work, said Jose would bring my car to me when it had been fixed, and reassured me that they would help me until the end. Within a few hours Jose brought my car to me only for me to learn the couple had completely paid for my car to be fixed. I was completely blown away by everything that had happened. It was the most incredible act of kindness I have ever experienced.It is so rare to find good and honest business owners who see their customers as real people rather than a way to make money. I would recommend this business to everyone I know because of their kind hearts and precise diagnosis of my car. My car has not had any issues since being repaired at Wrench and Ratchet. They have my business for life. I don’t know how I could ever repay them for taking such good care of me and my car. My hope is that this review is seen by as many people in the Boise area as possible to help grow their new business.

Every car of mine has been worked on by Wrench and Ratchet. Jose has always communicated with me what is going on and what his recommendations are as well as the priority level of repairs that are needed.Location is one of the cleanest Ive ever seen in an auto shop.Quality is the best word I would use to describe their work. You never have to wonder.If you are a female, you will never feel stupid or be taken advantage of by Wrench and Ratchet. My wife has always been treated with the utmost respect.

The message I got was that they arent technologically advanced yet, as theyre just starting out, but the service was so prompt and friendly that I wont hesitate to take my truck here for minor repairs or for future diagnostics. Maybe after a few year of business, the technology they have with advance. Definitely worth bringing your money to for the minor stuff. Ill be coming back for brakes soon.The reason Im not giving a full 5 stars is because after taking it to a dealership, I found that the team here failed to properly diagnose the major PCM issue, and instead put a band-aid on the misfire, but like I said, the service was fast and beyond friendly, and as the technology they have access to advances, Im sure their ability to diagnose those things will also get better.The community should definitely support this business.Edit: Jose contacted me and clarified what had happened. Hes an excellent, open, and genuine guy, and I look forward to seeing him again at his shop.

I was broke down on the side of the road and Jose stopped to see if I needed help. He offered to take a look at my Jeep at his shop. I was in between jobs at that time and he told me not to worry about it. Within a short time he had it fixed and sent me on my way.Hard to find genuine people like Jose. Glad he found me. He is my go to mechanic.
