First couldnt find anyone to help me find a couple of items. Then the young man at the checkout was visiting on the phone to someone who wanted to know where the best fishing places were. He must have been on the phone for 15 minutes. No customer service !!!

Nice selection and very helpful attendants that made my experience there a good one. Also there was no fear mongering idiots trying to force masks on the customers like at Menards. I wont shop Menards again.

Got a helpful hardware guy that just didnt know how helpful he was. He was able to take me right to the parts I was looking for and even threw in some suggestions. Spent twenty minutes in the store as opposed to spending an hour in the big box store.

Always clean. Staff always asks if you need assistance. Happy every time we go.

Im normally an avid shopper at Westlake. Im a DIYer and gardener. My last few experiences here were TERRIBLE! Without listing the cashiers name, I will say she was female, I must say she was HORRIBLE! On my last 3 visits to the store I needed help finding merchandise and she was rude, quite frankly downright nasty. My latest interaction with her was as follows:Me: Hi, do you have tomato cages?Cashier: (with an eye roll) I dont know.Me: Could you find out?Cashier: I guess(Cashier asks other employee, employee says yes)Me: ok, do you know where they are?Cashier: NoMe: Can you find out?Cashier: You can go look around for them, maybe outside or inside.(I go find them; btw they were right outside the door where she was standing, no price listed or tagged)Me: (to same Cashier) Do you know the price of the tomato cages? I need 15.Cashier: NoMe: Um, can you please find out.Cashier: No, you can carry one in and ask another employee.Me: okayyyyy(I see another employee that is there often, I asked him, not only did he rattle of the price, but offered to carry them in for me)Now this would NEVER be a big deal to me, but this employee has a record of acting like this whenever I have approached her in the past w each time being nasty and lazy.I spend plenty of $ in Westlake and like to give my business to locally owned places, but there are plenty of other places here in town that have a wonderful and HELPFUL staff. I will be spending my money at those places for now on.
