The reason for three stars instead I dont see where they have chopped prices. In fact they seem a little higher. But,the good side is that they had a terrific Meat and Fish Department and all employees are friendly and willing to assist. Also a sparkling clean facility. Worth the price...!

The only reason they get the 2 is because the attendant actually came right out and helped and he was nice but the person at the front desk…. “Judy” was kind of nasty and rude. Which is a way u not only how you loose customers but employees too and with everything in today’s day you should not treat people like that.

The deli closes early every time I go there and they say it is staffing issues. Tonight it was closed again and I had to wait for 10 minutes at the meat counter. No carriages were available, shelves were stocked with labels facing backwards, the bathroom was covered with urine and both sinks were clogged. I even fixed and drained one of them myself so I could wash the chicken juice off my hands because it wasnt packaged properly. This used to be a great place to shop. I will be going to Hanafords up the street until they figure it out or get new management.

This store is the worst run store I have ever been in. The selection is poor at best, the produce is half rotten when and if you find what you are looking for, the meats are overpriced and not very good. It is poorly stocked and has little selection. How does a store not have basic coffee mat in stock from week to week. Today I asked my husband to pick up 2 artichokes he had to ask as he couldn’t find them, apparently there were only three in the store, as usual they were turning brown, were skimpy, if they were a person they would be on life support, same with the romaine lettuce well passed the time it should have been picked, never mind sold. We stopped buying the bagged lettuce because it was already rotting in the store. Try buying a bag of just plain frozen vegetables ? You can forget that just steamer bags, with fake butter sauce at 3 times the price. This was going on prior as well as now that the supply chain is getting better so this is probably do to a woefully poor management system. I have been to other price choppers and they aren’t nearly as bad but they are not good enough to drive the distance for poor quality food. My husband has been doing the shopping for our family for many years ( he loves it, god bless him), I stopped going with him to price chopper because I was so agitated and disgusted by not finding even simple items I got headaches before I got out of the store. We already drive 13 miles to get to this store because it is the closest but last week we drove 26 miles to a market basket! Wow what a store! Fresh produce in quantities at less cost, anything you could want . There wasn’t one item it wanted that I couldn’t find or that they didn’t have and more. The lettuce we got from there is still fresh today the one my purchased today might last 2 days if I’m lucky and certainly looks way less appealing. The new store may be slightly more expensive at the register, but the amount of food we throw always because it doesn’t last make shopping at price chopper way to expensive ! So long price chopper!

Prices are pretty up there compared to the competition but they have items that other stores dont. Very long lines to get through checkout, even the self checkout. Really great selection in deli and bakery.

Love price chopper! They always have a wide variety of different items to choose from. As well as a wide variety of I international items.

Price Chopper of Gardner MA is doing its best to comply with cdcs recommendation of cleaning between customers, the store is pretty much spotless . they have signs that tell you how far to stand apart and which direction to go in the one-way aisles. Theres hand sanitizing stations set up so you can use them, everyone is compliant with wearing masks. In the fish department they have a choice of different seafood dinners you can choose from that are made safe and fresh right there in as little as 10 minutes, you get a good size portion for the price you pay. They also have other dinners like pizza, Chinese and chicken dinners available to order located where the produce area is, and there is limited seating for you to sit and enjoy your food. The customer service at this Price chopper deserves an A++ .

I am a new resident of gardner and thought I would check it out. Yesterday was my first time ever visiting and I think I have found the grocery store I will always shop. Very clean and fully stocked. I had a very easy time shopping and finding everything that I needed. The meat department is awesome and Nico helped me with everything that I needed. When it came to checking out I didn’t have to wait in line! I had a lot of questions and the cashier Max seemed to be new. He didn’t have all the answers so he called over the young woman in charge Amanda and she answered everything I needed to know. The staff is so helpful and the customer service is amazing. I stopped at the customer service desk for lottery and Sarah was very sweet. Overall I had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning

Huge selection of groceries. Prices can sometimes be higher than other places in town. Has fresh produce, pharmacy, deli and seafood, spirits, flower shop and many restaurants making the store stand out from the competition.

I shop here frequently, and they usually have what Im looking for. The meat is good, and so is the produce for the most part. They have a good variety of products, and in some cases stuff I cant find at the other stores in Gardner. The prices are a little higher than other places, but thats really the only major complaint Ive ever really had here. Most of the time the deals they run on things make up for slightly above average prices.

They are supposed to close at 12am, but close at 11pm. They have let us in the out door 3 times now! Extremely rude employees. Hate it here! They also charge $1 for using debit cards.

My deli experience has not been the same since all the decent workers left. I dont think price chopper serves their workers in the way they deserve so they constantly lose great employees its quite a shame.

I generally am very pleased with the store except today I had a really upsetting experience thanks to the assistant manager Thomas and I left the store feeling really upset. I drove almost 35 minutes to come to the store because it is so much better stocked than the stores in my area and it has a much better selection. When I arrived many of the aisles including the meat department were empty. They didnt even have a single roaster chicken or a beef rib roast. They had almost none of the juice I was looking for none of the water I was looking for none of the chips I was looking for and none of the ice cream I was looking for. I was absolutely shocked and I inquired as to what was going on. One of the associates basically laid it out to me and told me that currently the manager is on vacation and the assistant manager is handling things. This associate told me that the assistant manager doesnt like to order a lot of inventory because stocking it and sorting it takes so much time. I was really stunned to hear this but considering how bare the aisles were it made sense I asked a second associate if this was true and they confirmed it and apologized to me for the lack of products. As always the associates were super nice. When I got up to the checkout the young man who checked me out was incredibly kind and sweet and explain to me that he was going to Franklin Pierce college we had a great chat and I asked to speak to the assistant manager Robert once I had finished checking out with my order. Robert came over and I asked him flat out if what I had been told was true and I explained to him that I was very upset that we had driven so far and had come up empty. I immediately could tell by the look on his face that someone was going to be getting in trouble. Its a stirred me enough that as soon as I got into my car I tried to contact the corporate office because I was genuinely concerned that this assistant manager was going to try to roll back the security footage to see who I talked to. Instead of apologizing for the lack of inventory or offering a rain check or something of that nature Robert pointedly told me that its the middle of a pandemic.Well thank you for that information however every other grocery source seems to be able to get at least a single roaster chicken. The young man on the meat department told me that they did have them but unfortunately they only had two or three earlier today and they were taken he did his best and told me that he could put one aside for me if they came in tomorrow however the offer of driving 35 minutes for a single chicken didnt really excite me so I thanked him but declined the offer. I was really disappointed in Thomass attitude he narrowed his eyes and had a really arrogant, sanctimonious attitude and spoke to me as if he had a really big chip on his shoulder. He was not somebody that I enjoyed dealing with. I can assure you that I will be getting in touch with the store manager.* Now the good things, the people working in the deli the two young men and the older woman were really funny and kind. The woman working in produce with a long dark hair was super sweet and chatted me up for a little over 5 minutes she had a great personality and was very courteous. The nice lady in the bakery sliced my bread for me in the blink of an eye and was so polite the young man in the meat department was very helpful and walked around helping me try to find a roaster chicken. And again my cashier was very very kind. the associates that work here are always very kind I was just disappointed in Thomass attitude and again I am concerned that somebody May suffer some sort of blowback for telling me what they did.

I really like the variety that you cant find in other grocery stores

They have some items that other grocery stores were out of/didnt carry. However- their prices are a bit high. At 70 cents per can of friskees buffet cat food - that is outrageous. Especially when you can go to Hannahfords or Walmart & get it way cheaper. We only go here occasionally. Our store of choice is Hannafords

This is the first time Im been to price chopper since they became affiliated with market 32 and Im impressed. I dont know about all price choppers but this one has a good size produce department, a wide selection of meats and a large variety of general groceries. The prices are still slightly cheaper then other chain grocery stores and this one is even opened 24 hours!

More expensive then most in area. Store is clean and staff is friendly.

I ordered a turkey last week for pickup today at 3:00. When I arrived there was not a person at the butcher shop. I waited about 10 minutes when a young man asked me what I needed and I told him that I ordered a turkey, he asked my name and disappeared into a cooler. After several minutes he came back and said that the manager of the meat department would be right down. I asked why the manager was coming down and he replied that the turkey was not ready yet.After several minutes the manager came out and said the turkey was not ready, he had been out all week and then asked me what I needed. I asked him if he had my order and he replied that it was probably in the backroom somewhere. I explained to him what I needed... a boned and butterflied 12 - 14 lb turkey, skin on with the bones and gizzards included. He went to the bin where the turkeys are stored and pulled one out that was frozen and said that it would be ready in 15 minutes. Then he tried to open the packaging and remove the gizzards from the turkey cavity, but it was too frozen to be able to remove the bones.I told him to cancel the order and I left the meat department. I went to the front of the store and spoke with the customer service rep on duty, although she was really trying to be helpful, it was not enough. I left without a turkey that I ordered last week!!!!

I have been a regular shopper at Pricechopper.This evening I got so disgusted and disappointed when I visited the butcher section.I asked for 2 seasoned split fryers (chicken) which were displayed plus another 2 to be seasoned.The butcher picked them up to wrap then seasoned with his bare hands yet he had been working away from the butchery.Just before I left that section, he put on the gloves and started serving the next customer, a white lady. He took out the meat she chose.I left and abandoned that chicken next to the others at the meat section.On my way out of the store, I went to report the matter to a lady at Customer Service.She asked me to describe the butcher and I did. She stated that she knows who he is and promised to inform the Manager.Did the butcher do that to me because I am black ?

Just moved to Gardner Ma. Heard it was 24 hours. Not knowing the seafood department closed at 9 p.m.. The super nice seafood server Elizabeth still served me after 10 p.m. the lobster I was purchasing for my husband. The cashiers were very helpful in explaining how their deals worked. Will definitely be shopping here from now on.

Good deals and different variety.

I went shopping this morning at the Gardner location. I got home, put groceries away and realized I was missing my purse/wallet. I ran back to check to see if anyone had turned it in, but no. On the way out, I stopped the young man (Jordan) who was collecting the carts to ask if hed found anything. Again, no. He told me hed keep an eye out for it though. Well, about 1/2 hour later I got a message through Facebook that my wallet had been found!!! Jordan was true to his word...he went through all of the carts looking for it and there it was! Please know that you have a very conscientious and honest young man working for you. I wanted to leave a reward but was told they are not allowed to accept. I am so thankful!!!

Good place to get groceries. The fact that its open 24 hours a day is great! Prices for things not on sale are a bit too high though.

I stopped here on my way home from Western Massachusetts. It looks like the selection was decent and the prices were reasonable. I bought a case of water. It was the store brand I forget the name. It was really good water. Much better than the major brands that you find everywhere and it was extremely inexpensive. I would stop here and buy it again if I was heading through the area. It was that good.

I like Price Chopper because it is opened 24/7 and they have a great selection. I also like that they have several checkout booths opened at a time when I go. I never seem to have to wait to checkout.

VERY clean, awesome staff. But one thing they need to improve on is their care on the ones who are disabled. I have talked to a great check out personnel who needs to have better options available to not only her, but others like her.

The staff are wonderful however its not enough.The store is called Price chopper and yet everything in the store is at least a dollar or more expensive than market basket as a matter of fact Id say the only store more expensive would be whole foods. I spend exactly half the amount when buying ground beef at market basket I only stopped here because I happen to be in the area and didnt want to go out of my way

First 24 hour supermarket i have seen. Great selection and very clean store. Friendly staff and easy layout make navigating the store a breeze. A little pricey, also not enough registers open. But you can use the self checkout to avoid lines.

Great store in every other way BUT single use plastic bags are the only option. They dont even offer a reusable heavy duty plastic bag or better yet a cloth bag at the registers. Come on, even Hannaford manages that.

Hoaky membership reward system. Basically if you arent a member you get charged way more. If you are a member you save a certain amount on gas. Which doesnt interest me because the place that I will save the money on gas at charges more than where I buy my gas.A big plus is that they are open 24/7!

Purchased a catered brunch for 50 yesterday for a post wedding party. The food was awesome and every individual who came over commented on how good everything was. The young lady who coordinated our order thru the 3 departments ( deli, bakery and seafood dept.) was professional and friendly. Price Chopper is in good hands. Store closes whenever it wants. Website states its open till midnight. Drove out of my way and they closed at 11pm. Why bother telling people youre open til 12?

Great place to shop except for Caffeine Free Pepsi. Talked to management three times since they stopped carrying it and they still havent put it back on the shelf. Also remember to use your coupons to bring price more reasonable or just buy the specials and sale items.

The thing I like about price chopper is that it is open 24 hours and that is it. The place is too pricey for me. I know they have a gas reward program but they get you with the prices within the store.

Great prices when things are on sale! Produce...50/50 (I wont buy produce or meats or cold cuts here) the bakery looks great, but not as good as it looks. The bagels are 2$ for 6 after 7 p.m. if you are out at that time.

Not enforcing Covid regulations, employees walking down wrong way isles and customers with no masks being helped by employees? Like you see they got no mask yet you guys just allow them to shop completely disregarding the safety of others.

Great customer service, especially the produce department. Guy (on Sunday 7/ 21/19, he should get a raise) was nice and friendly and said hi to me as I came in there. The young guy at the register wasnt that friendly (he didnt do anything wrong) I just like it when cashiers in gage with me. At least smile!!

Price Chopper has great sales and very good pricing. The store is well stocked and clean, and most of the employees are very friendly and welcoming. The biggest draw back is the bathroom facilities. As a disabled senior I use the mobile shopping cart to do my shopping. Because of small entrance the cart wont fit, and this makes it very difficult and is a safety issue for someone with mobility difficulties.

Prices are INSANE. Lines are long regardless of time of day and there are RARELY baggers working. Sales are convoluted and ridiculous. Must buy X many, must buy Y many, must have coupon, must have coupon and card... and the prices are still beaten by others regular prices most of the time!!!
