I wanted to build the fence myself and order materials from Viking Fence. Julian and team were great. They beat the big box home improvement stores (even with my military discount) by 10-15% and they called me after my order to point out they thought I was missing certain items (Based on my order)...and i WAS! Thankfully they called me or my project would have been stalled before it started!

My wife and I decided that we were going to be replacing our fence ourselves, little by little, and Julian at Viking Fence was very responsive with quotes and calls, great communication overall. We got everything locked and the delivery date set, and Albert called the morning of delivery to provide his ETA. Albert was awesome, and very friendly. I explained we would be working on the fence over time and wanted the lumber in the garage to keep it safe and dry. He was able to back his flatbed up to the garage, after I moved all the vehicles out of the driveway, and he got everything unloaded and carefully stacked to one side. Thanks again Albert!!! Customer service was beyond the call of duty. They provided options and explained the lumber markets volatility at this time (4/8/21). Gave us a contact of a reputable installer if we decide to hire the work out. Prices were better than the big box stores by 15 to 20 percent.

I worked with Julian through a number of changes and questions. He was always helpful, responsive and professional. Order placement was easy and enjoyable. Buyer Beware!!! Read the fine print!I experienced 20% loss in unusable pickets. When asked, they responded with, Read the Fine Print. 20% is too much loss even with natural wood products.

Tim, the General Manager and Alex inside the office took time to walk us through the whole process. The material we received was great quality. I had a phenomenal experience with Viking Fence. I called several places around town before settling on Viking, and they were definitely the best company for quality, communication, and cost-effectiveness. Adrian was excellent at walking me through the quotes & components. Tim personally delivered the fencing on time and unloaded it at my house. I had only a few pickets that were not in good enough shape to put up.I also purchased my stain from Viking. They directed me to a good product and calculated the exact amount I needed. Ive been a customer for 4 years and I will never do business with them again. One other customer getting loaded at the time of my experience so a 1 hour wait time is unacceptable. Loader saw me but never approached me to help. I had to walk to him to hand him my receipt. He bundled 6ft instead of 8ft so he had to rebundle the order. Almost an hour at this point so I called the main number to get help. Tim (branch manager) asked what I wanted him to do because they were short handed because of the virus. I told him that the other guy wasnt doing anything and could help. .After I asked why it seems that managers only want to make excuses instead of offering help now a day, he hung up on me. I called back to just cancel my order and they wouldnt answer. Good managers know that it is cheaper to keep a client than it is to get a new one. Guess Tim hasnt figured this out. Great products, fair prices, but customer service is nonexistent here. Plenty of other fence suppliers in the area that want to make it through this downturn.

I found Viking based on a recommendation from a local fencing contractor. I have limited fence building experience, but I went to Viking with lots of questions. Adrienne was AMAZING! She was helpful with my myriad of questions and her product knowledge was impressive (I had no idea that the mineral content in trees that grow closer to the water in the Pacific Northwest would affect the color of the wood). The quality of their product far exceeds the other suppliers I researched. I was extremely happy with the final result!

Called to get a quote on some cedar fencing material and asked about delivery. I was told delivery was $190.00. Alex emailed my quote to me without the delivery charge included. I called to ask why it was not included and he said my order was too small and they would not deliver since it did not meet the minimum. Since it could not be delivered I rented a uhaul truck and trailer and drove the 45 miles to Garland. When I arrived I spoke to a nice lady at the front desk who said the credit card machine was down and asked if I could pay in cash. Since I am going to replace another 200 ft section of fence I asked what the minimum was for delivery. She said there was no minimum. She even went on to say they would deliver 1 picket if I wanted to pay the $190. I told her I would drive to an ATM to get cash. When I returned she was away and I spoke with Alex who checked me out (the person who provided incorrect information about the delivery minimum). After driving 10 miles out of my way to find an ATM. I asked if I would be given a 3% cash discount. Surprisingly he said NO. I said... I just drove 10 miles out of my way (60 cents a mile) in a rental uhaul truck and trailer to get cash out of an atm because your credit card machine was down and paid $5.00 in ATM fees and you can’t give me a 3% discount? He said NO. (By the way, a 3% discount would have been $10 on my order). I could chalk the delivery minimum up to a miscommunication or not understanding company policy. The the 3% discount ($10) is beyond my comprehension. By the way, the uhaul cost $130 plus $15 in gas plus $10 in tolls and 2 hours out of my life for a total of $155. I would have gladly paid an extra $35 for delivery!!!Update: I was contacted by the sales manager at Viking Fence who has reached out to apologize for the miscommunication and inconvenience I experienced during my initial interaction with Viking. Based on my correspondence with the sales manager I will be ordering additional materials from Viking.

Viking made the whole process of purchasing the lumber I need to build my fence easy. No matter what scenario or question I asked they were able to help find a way to get it done. Delivery was quick and lumber was stained better than expected.
