The place is like a candy store for me, I always go for one or two things and end up with more. This time was no exception. Wayne, one of the clerks seems to enjoy his work and was knowledgeable about where the inventory is. He was very nice and cheery, and correctly pointed me in the right direction. When I mentioned the project I was working on, he recommended some items. (I think I hate him.--Just kidding..Wayne). Wayne did a great job and made visit there enjoyable.

The employees at this Rockler are the best Ive ever had the experience of meeting. I was having an issue hinging a toy box that I built and they helped me find a solution and allowed me to use their workshop to install it. Top notch customer service!!

The staff was very helpful with information and getting the dust collector ordered that I wanted.

Ive been shopping at my local Rockler for just over a year, and I heartily recommend it to anyone needing woodworking equipment or supplies. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and they have a great selection of items, including some very nice wood. Their prices are reasonable, and almost everything in the store goes on sale at some point. If you visit the store and need help or advice, just ask. If the salesperson helping you doesnt know the answer to your questions, they can usually find someone else there who does know.

I was really pleased with my experience here. Robert immediately asked if I needed anything and helped me find the wood I was looking for. I got some beautiful ambrosia maple, and it was even on sale. Robert was friendly and even took my items to my car, so I wouldnt have to put my toddler down. The selection and organization were also great. I will definitely be back here!

I love this place! Im in there about once a week (sometimes more). They almost always greet me when I come in, and someone usually asks if I need any help finding anything. And if I DO need help,. they walk me to the item rather than just pointing and saying, Its over there. The staff is friendly and helpful, and if I ask someone a question that they know someone else on staff is better qualified to answer, theyll take me to that person. I wish every retailer I visit was as pleasant to shop in as this store. Good selection of products, fair prices, great selection of wood, and good service.

Update:I am changing my review to five stars because these people deserve it. I had an unpleasant experience and the nice folks at Rockler reached out and turned it into a welcoming one. The store manager Mr. Gebhardt met with me and showed me the store and all they have to offer to all woodworkers alike. They offer classes and demonstrations and are trying to add more. Rockler even works hard to improve on woodworking through Rockler Innovation products. I would definitely recommend them for all of your woodworking needs, big or small.Update:The store manager (Mr. Gebhardt) of this location reached out to me to understand the reason for my review. He was a very nice and sincere person who assured me of training and policies to help avoid situations like the one I had. He made me sincerely believe this was a misunderstanding and he has agreed to meet with me to personally to assure me of his staffs welcoming and helpful nature.**Original Review**If youre not white dont go. Went trying to get simple tools because there were signs about a tool sale. Immediately upon entry there were nothing but ugly looks from both shoppers and employees. Its an all around ugly feeling trying to go in there.

My favorite Rockler store! Very friendly and helpful staff, great selection of woodworking tools and accessories. Great place for hobby woodworkers or professionals. They have stuff you cannot find anywhere else.

A little low on inventory. I went in to see the festool and Makita tracksaws but they were out of stock

Havent been to this location before. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped me find what I needed fast, and held it all up front for me while I shopped around. I will say that they seemed to have far less hardware like tablesaws on display than other stores, but they had way more wood, and specialty wood, and accessories than other stores. Much closer for me than the Richardson location. Will be back.

Great place to go, if youre into woodworking of any kind. Very knowledgeable employees, that are kind enough to put up with my ignorance, with a smile. It would be 5 stars, but theyre the only place I know of that will give you a hard time for not wearing a face diaper (mask). They do have curbside delivery, but it kinda stinks to not get to pick out your lumber, just because I refuse to bend the knee to an authoritarian government, so if you need lumber, its better to just go to a lumber yard, where they let you pretend we still live in a free country.

I have been riding past this little shopping center for years. Using Big Box Centers for most of my work is okay but I often couldnt find what I really wanted. Rockler has been the breakthrough that I needed. First, they have QUALITY tools. Second, and most importantly, they have KNOWLEDGEABLE people. You can ask questions and get more than Oh, I think its on aisle 12. Love this place, gaurd you wallet, its a grown up toy store!

Im a newbie to this woodworking and am in the process of building a shop.I visited the Garland store and Terry walked up ask how he could help and I just spewed out all the questions about tools to pick. Terry couldnt have been any more helpful. Learned more in the 1 1/2 hours spent with Terry than the 2 weeks of youtube videos Ive been watching. I will buy all my tools from this store and know Im getting honest advice.Thank you Terry and Rockler.

Ive been a customer of Rockler for a few years now and I thoroughly enjoy the experience of shopping here as much as the products. The staff are always willing to help or give advice, but equally willing to step back and allow the more knowledgeable to manage for themselves. It makes me think of shopping at a hardware store owned by Wilson from the old TV show Home Improvement. The lumber is always top notch, the Rockler branded tools and accoutrements are well made and lasting, and prices are often times better than competitors. I highly recommend this or any Rockler for seasoned woodworkers or beginners.

This is my candy store, I always leave with more than I walked in for with all the great sales. Store associates are experienced woodworkers and if they dont have the answer they will direct you to the person who does rather than make it up like a big box store.

We had a great experience with the Rockler Store on the I30 in Garland. Bill, the store manager, spent a lot of time with us while choosing finishing products for our entertainment center. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He offered excellent advice and guidance, which we really appreciated. We will definitely be returning to this store again.

Always enjoy shopping here. All the guys in the shop are nice, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any question, even from a woodworking newbie like me. Their products are high quality and durable. I could wander around looking at all the great stuff for hours.

My daughter and I took the bowl turning class today and it was excellent. The instructor, Corey, was a very good teacher, with some beautiful pieces to inspire us. We will be back for other classes and I recommend Rockler for this course.

They have workshops to teach the best way to help make your wood projects successful, top quality finished project, and how to safely build your project.The workers are not just sales personnel, but they are there to answer your questions.I was looking for some small pieces of purple heart and padauk wood for future projects and they had exactly what I needed.I had them ship a Kreg Rip-Cut Circular Saw Edge Guide to my son in Houston. No problem. They shipped it to him the same day. Great selection. Great quality. Great service.
