I just had the most horrible customer service by a gentleman at this location. I came in for notary and began yelling at me through his mask. Another customer came in to ship a package and he stopped assisting me to assist the other customer that came in after me. After assisting the other person, he came back to me and then made me feel stupid by repeating that he wouldnt notarize my document because it wasnt a form that needed to be notarized.
This place is a joke. Terrible customer sevice. Wonder how they are still in business. Not recommanded.

I would have given it 0 stars if possible. But anyways thats not happening. The gentleman (?) at the counter was horrible. In name of helping customers, he was basically being a great annoyance to every one. He is a pain to deal with. He acts over smart that in turn proves his stupidity. He wastes everyones time by unnecessary arguments. I did not have such a bad experience in any UPS store in the past decade. Not recommended.
Normally I have had very good experiences with this store however I dropped off 2 Amazon returns and its been 8 days and the tracking shows no movement. I will re-evaluate if they respond to my email request in a professional and timely manner.
Please do not use this UPS store location (5435 N Garland Ave Ste 140, Garland, TX 75040). There is something wrong with the people who staff this location. It starts with the Manager who starts off by shouting at you, and then ends any discussion by literally yelling at you. It does not matter how simple a question you ask. It seems the response is the same.Today was my second visit to this store. And both visits have been terribleI had gone today to request a prepaid shipping label from UPS. I needed this to have something shipped back to me, and the company I was dealing with required a prepaid shipping label from UPS for sending something back to me.This request was turned down. The staff including the manager made up some policy that unless UPS is shipping a package in both directions, they cannot give a prepaid label for returns.I then went to the UPS store at Murphy (120 FM 544 #72, Murphy, TX 75094). The person there calmly listened to what I needed, and promptly priced and provided me with a shipping label for returns.There are two things that are shocking 1) the staff including the store manager gave me incorrect policy information 2) the manager in which they deal with a customer.If you would like a pleasant experience, please visit another UPS Store location.
Im only putting three stars because only a few times I been to this store, I didnt have issues until...yesterday.To some it may not be a big deal, but it still kind of shook me. The staff I first met talked really fast. Like after I brought in a product to return, he notice I didnt have the amazon bag with me. It was my mistake that I forgot I was suppose to have it to put in the product so i could return it for free without charge.But man, he thought I was in a hurry or something. Told me I got time if I go back home and get it. But then wouldnt let me speak to tell him I couldnt and just spoke other infos about this and that, I couldnt remember what he talked about. I was chill though and I told him I wish I could go back home to get the amazon bag, but couldnt since I had to go look after my relative.But then...he like just kept talking and saying that I got time...Until I just say okay but I dont have time I appreciate the help etc. Thats about it.Honestly, that kind of experience was rare and unfortunately dont think I want to go back there again. I assume they do a good job perhaps, but if this explains a lot with all the reviews brought up about this place then I would suggest you read some of the reviews carefully and ask yourself if you want to go to this store or not.
I am truly EMBARRASSED and SORRY for the people who have to work at this location. That horrible man BLAKE needs to be FIRED ASAP. If AMAZON says I don’t need to bring the box/bag to return my item I do not. I have NEVER had this issue going to Whole Foods, kohls, etc. I can’t believe after 80% of the reviews are one star about him and he isn’t fired. Take that nasty attitude and retire.. seriously. we don’t need any angry old men yelling at customers about Amazon returns. If you need to return anything from Amazon please go to Whole Foods or Kohl’s, there will be better service. UPS customer service has become like McDonald’s. Gross
We live closer to this location, but generally were willing to drive to Murphy or Sachse to avoid Blake. His intensity and aggressive customer service style makes me so anxious that it sets off the heart rate and stress alerts on my garmin watch. It doesnt matter how prepared you are, Blake will find a way to make you feel two inches tall and point out something you should have done differently. Hed probably be better suited for a behind the scenes, non-public job. His behavior is so noticeably bizarre that my elementary-aged child asked me worriedly, Is that man on drugs? when we got back to the car. Hats off to the employees who work alongside him, because they must have the tolerance (and blood pressure) of saints.

I wish I had read the reviews before going to this store. I had to email a one-page document so that it could be printed because my printer is broken. They charged me $2.71 for labels! It was one piece of paper - not labels - and when I asked, the employee told me that its just their policy to charge everybody for labels. Hope you guys enjoy the spare change, cuz I will never be back.
The old guy in this service very mean and the way he talk like him hate the customer so bad. Not helpful just like him order people do the things not like him helping them. Very disappoint at this location
This is the closest UPS store to me. Every time I go in & “Blake” is there, he’s so rude. There’s another nice kid looks to be in his twenties & I never have a problem with him. But you don’t bring a box or the mailer bag it comes with Blake gets an attitude. Amazon says you don’t have to have it so why is Blake being so aggressive about it. Customer service from him is why I took 3 starts away.
I go to this location because it is closest to my house. I would rather not deal with Blake, especially when he thinks he knows what I want to do before I say anything. I had page numbers on the pages I wanted to fax, but he got irked at me for putting the pages in a different order from how he had them. He seems very on edge and eager to send us to the post office or a mailbox instead of taking care of our mail. Other staff are more courteous and professional.
Very bad attitude I was basically kicked out of the store, I really feel bad for the employees over there
I needed help printing labels, I had a couple of returns, I didnt know how to do it, I asked for help multiple times, they were there standing and staring at me, finally they came and helped me. The whole process should have taken 2 minutes if the helped but it took almost 40 minutes. Please try to help customers who are computer illiterate instead of throwing them to the computer.
People hate on Blake, but hands down he is doing a great job. Blake is on the professional and efficient side of things ; not overly social and perhaps a little curt at times, but always direct. I only go to this store because day in and day out they outperform every other location in the area and my stuff gets to where its supposed to be.

Just FYI this place will not ship out anything firearm related. UPS policy is they do not ship guns...fine... Tried to ship a scope for repairs and Blake comes at me with theyre not allowed to ship firearm related items because the higher ups said so. A $1200 item that needed insurance and overnight shipping. Ill spend my $120 with FedEx.

I have gone in twice for notary and the taller loud guy with glasses has been there both times. Very high strung and obviously hates his job. Blake may be his name. First time he was telling me my wife had to be there with me without even reading the paperwork. We argued back and forth until I finally showed him that she didnt have to in the paperwork. Finally signed it. Went in today and same experience. Makes you feel like you are bothering him. He is too wound up and seriously needs to find another job if he hates it there so much. I will never ever go back there again. Will take my business to Fed ex at Renner and Plano Rd.
I walked in with a package to be shipped. The woman behind the counter greets me with a very disinterested, ........................you need something? That was all she said to me throughout the entire transaction.Yikes.

I’m not sure what the deal is with Blake at this location but he is the rudest most hostile person I’ve ever had to deal with! I’ve Witnessed him yelling at customers & basically belittling them... it’s atrocious that someone that continues to act like this still has a job. I drop off packages there all the time that are already pre-labeled however today I unfortunately had to deal with Blake & he refused my little package & told me to go to the post office....all you had to do was throw it in the appropriate pile & be done with it....I guess that was too much to ask for. It’s sickening the way he treats people.
They wouldn’t take my Amazon return code (which states that I do not have to box the item). The guy didn’t care that my code clearly stated no box required, and said I had to wrap it myself. I went down the road to another UPS store and they took it with no problem.
I just left this store Blake Wright is the worst customer service person in this store, I had to ask for the store owners name he said it was his Dads store (David). David you did not do a good job raising this boy for a customer service job. He has no manners, no respect for customers or me when I was in their just 15 minuets ago. Had the terrible pleasure of dealing with Blake today. As soon as he started speaking I knew what kind of worker he is. He was very hostile and rude the whole time. I had to return something for amazon and granted I didn’t have a box and understand i needed one but the way he talked to us was the problem. Went and bought a box and when I returned he had an issue with me placing my phone on the counter. Like calm down Blake.
I have come here several times within 30 minutes of closing. I will no longer do this because the truck comes about that time and the line gets backed up and it gets stressful for the employees. Blake tries so hard to get everyone in and out quickly. Yes he is a bit short, but not rude! He is fast, and helpful each time I go. Sorry for coming last minute. You are great!
The workers are so focused and always rushing that they miss showing a little friendly smile. My complaint is about the notary fee.With David he charged us $6.00. The next day when we came back to notarize the same set of documents because of few edits, the charge was $8.00. When I commented why $8 when we only paid $6 the day before, she (Stefanie ) just ignored my comment .
DO NOT GET A MAILBOX HERE. After three years we finally moved our business address (not easy!) because we simply couldnt take it anymore. Blake (the manager?) is a jerk. If you are a customer you WILL get yelled at. I started going in on Sunday to check the mail ONLY because I knew I wouldnt run into him. My local UPS store should not be the cause of my anxiety! We have had mail that was clearly not for us put into our mailbox and we have had mail that went missing including customer checks and debit cards. If you ask about it, you will get berated. When I finally did close the account I was told there was no way they could do mail forwarding even though the contract I signed clearly states that is an option upon termination of the contract. PLEASE take note of all these reviews and take your business elsewhere.
My wife and I went to drop a off & mail a package here (USPS was closed, otherwise would have went there). The manager (glasses) had a terrible attitude towards her. He kept trying to get her to go to USPS, saying it was cheaper, versus helping her with shipping her package here. After we let him know we would rather just ship it since we were here, he kept rushing her saying, “cmon cmon” as my wife was trying to get the address pulled up from her contacts (we were the only ones in the store, no line). Just a very bad attitude and experience, which caused my wife to be really upset after we left. I definitely would not recommend this store; you are betting going out of your way to another store or a fedex location.
Worst customer service. As soon as I walked in, I was met with attitude. I came in to return some things I bought from Amazon, before I had a chance to explain my returns, he snapped at me about what goes where. Then he tried to charge me for the return, even though Amazon told me that UPS would package and ship it for me. Amazons instructions specially said no box or label needed. I went to the UPS off Campbell right after and had a wonderful experience. Will never go to this one again.

Really appreciate the efficient service from Blake and his staff. At first, he seemed a little curt when I went in. I soon realized that every time I was in and out of the store in record time, my needs were met and I was on my way.He took time the last time to find me the cheapest way for him to make me 50 copies, then made the copies, rang me up and I was on my way.May not win any popularity contests, but the service is first rate.

Ordered something from Amazon and scheduled to shop it back. Dam water pump didnt work. So I go and I give this lady my traction #. And she says I need the label and that I need some kind of other number. So I ask how do I get it, i have to log in and do it online. She pointed to their computer and said its 2.50cents to use it. And 50 cents for label. Since she said that and walked to the back. No help after that.
Can you give zero stars? If I could review a human being then this post would be it. Created a shipment online via UPS and paid for a package to ship 2 Day Air with a driver pickup. The driver did not make the pickup so I reached out for further assistance on what to do. I called this location- an annoyed female employee answered the phone in the most unprofessional way possible, then proceeds to put me on hold-which was here merely setting the phone down on the counter then hanging up after 3 or 4 minutes. Oh and this was about 15 minutes to close- so I know where her head was at. When I finally got her back on the phone- she had no idea what she was talking about. After TRYING to tell her my issue- (mind you she wouldnt stop talking over me this entire time-yelling may I add) she informs me that UPS drivers will not pick up my package b/c its after FIVE P.M. and that if my MAIL MAN CAME (were talking USPS MAIL) then it wasnt going to go out today. WHY DO YOU WORK HERE! Online gives you the opportunity to pick up until 8PM- The fact that a customer knows more that the employee is a HUGE issue. Also- Im PAYING for this service and to get yelled at by your employee for simply calling is absolutely unacceptable.

Poor customer service!!! The moment I walked in Maricela (the employee) was bothered that she had to get off of her phone to assist me. Then as more customers came in behind me, she smacked her gums, making it more obvious that she was bothered by us being there. The whole time she talked to me with a poor attitude.

Just left the ups store after returning amazon merchandise. Blake wanted to argue with me about how I placed the items on the desk. It was complete childish. He was trying to belityle me in front of a long line of customers. Not to mention when I first walked in he was yelling at someone on the phone. This guy does not need to be in the customer service field.

I was in the store dropping off a package and witness the manager/owner treating a lady terribly. He seems like a real jerk the way he was talking to this lady as if she was stupid. She was asking logical questions and he was answering as if she was stupid. What I witnessed could not have been an isolated indecent. UPS really should send in a secret shopper or send their internal audit department here to understand why this guy still represents them. If this guy is a franchise owner it should be taken away from him and sold to someone who has better people skills. UPS would not put up with what I witnessed today. The store was busy and the other customers got to hear the rude comments by the manager/owner. UPS you really need to fix this now!
After a recent move, we had over 100 pounds of needed shredding and took it to The UPS Store on Garland Road. The manager rang it up two ways to see which would provide the best price for us. Initially, it was $89 and the second attempt reduced the cost to $54. It wasnt something we asked for, he just did it and it was most appreciated!
Worst ups experience ever. Ive mailed things and many ups stores over the years and none have ever charged me for printing in the store. Oh well are we supposed to just use our computer and print for free? Are you serious??? $2.71 to click 1 button and print 1 piece of paper....rude staff to boot. I googled where to find DHL dropoff and this UPS store came up. The guy was a complete jerk at the store. I asked if they have DHL supplies. He goes off telling me that I paid too much for the DHL label. That doesnt matter to me! I simply went into the store to see if they have DHL supplies. Rude!
There seriously needs to be a secret shopper to see how the staff treats their customers. For the past 2 years I’ve been coming here only because it was close to my house. I tolerated Blake’s passive aggressive personality almost every time I’m there. I sucked it up thinking “Oh well, this is close to my house and I’ll deal with it.” However, I got fed up with how badly Blake treats the customers and been taking my business to the Sasche location. The Sachse location’s staff is much nicer and at least they don’t charge for printing your prepaid label.
I rarely have a negative review, but is the second time visiting this center and each visit was HORRIBLE. Last week went in to mail a letter that was returned to me due to lack of postage, the mgr asked me what was I doing all day, I shouldve gone to the post office before it closed (huh), then today, I go in with a return item, the lady slammed the package on the scale, shoved the label at me, I offered to tape the box, she rolled her eyes and said shed do it while walking away (why so nasty). There was only two guests (me & a gentleman) walked in at the same time. I wont return.
Plain and simply avoid Blake if you can. He may be the manager or owner but he clearly hates talking to you. Especially if youre asking for rate options before you decide which method to ship by. And if you ask for his opinion on if he thinks USPS might offer a lower priced option, hell say if he knew that he would win the lottery. Which was sandwiched in his 12 min condescending lecture on why my repurposed Target shipping box is the reason UPS rates are higher. I honestly didnt understand the connection.

Went in to drop a package and Blake was telling me if I did not live in Garland then I should not be at this UPS store. Very rude. Even after I told him that I was sorry I came to this store he would not leave it alone stating because I work in Plano I should have gone to a store between 75 and 121. I told him that I work off Jupiter and George Bush and this was the one on the way home. He still told me that I should not have gone to his store in Garland. I should have drove to one in Plano. Never going to this store again.

He is a rude, bitter, angry little man that talks down to people and seems to hate his job. I went to pick up a UPS package and he started yelling as soon as I walked in the door. I went there today August 3, 2015 This man was all business and that is the way a tough shipping company like UPS should be ran. This man had several customers in front of me but he got to in less than 2 minutes I would say. My package was prepaid UPS shipping and he got me a receipt in no time. I would recommend.
Went in because I needed a notary public. The guy working there seemed pretty wound up. He would not notarize my documents because I had no drivers license. I had a passport and a driving permit. He then gave me terrible directions to the municipal court building and kinda rushed me out of the store. Weird situation that didnt have to be. Went to another notary...no DL issue at all. Will not be heading back to this store unless Im in need of some frustration or wanna see someone overreact to even the slightest thing.

This service is fast but the customer service or lack there of by Blake is absolutely horrible. He is extremely impatient, rude, and obnoxious. I have witnessed him on several occasions yelling and berating customers who clearly didnt do anything to provoke this behavior. I was horrified to learn that he is in fact the manager because he clearly has no business interacting with people on any level.
That guy Blake is so rude and he attacks you as soon as you walk in the store. I came in to do a simple notary Monday with my parents and we were so uncomfortable and he even was yelling at the young lady that works with him. I feel sorry for them. Terrible customer service. Blake was neurotic and rude. Did not tell the price of envelopes until checkout and pushed those instead of offering the standard free UPS envelopes. He told me to go to Post office if the price sounds too high instead of giving options. I will not use this store again.

I literally went in here just to buy a box for my Amazon return (theres an Amazon locker at the 7-11 nearby) and was faced with possibly the worst customer service experience of my life. The associate there would not sell me a box because he thought I was doing my return wrong. He did not understand how the locker return process worked, and we sat there and argued for like 15 minutes. All I wanted was a box. Incredibly frustrating experience.

They do awful service.Today when I walked in the nazi waved me over rudely literally as I opened up the door and spoke to me curtly the whole time as if he wanted me out ASAP.The first time I visited he glared at me up and down as if he despised my appearance, and then criticized my service request without me prompting him and even hardly speaking to him at all, which was extremely unwelcome. He acted as if he hated me, a perfect stranger.Im never going back to this location again. These people hate their jobs, possibly even their own lives, and take it out on you. They deserve to see their business go under, for it is the just price of treating people so poorly.
They dont double check addresses. Ive had two bad experiences at this store so far, three if you count the call I just had with the kid who works there (evidently its a father and son store?) -- Anyway, was trying to track a package and the kid got all uppity on the phone with me saying I should have known when the package was going out and they would have told me when I delivered it. They did not. Bad atmosphere, bad service. I have another UPS Store I love (Coit & Belt-Line) and the people who work there have also commented on the bad service by this store @ GB & Garland. Too bad. Convenient, but will never ever be going back and will do my best to steer others away from this location.

Blake is an idiot. If you need something done other than sending a package. You might wanna go somewhere else. Like the UPS store in sachse. For my case, Blake doesnt know how to, or the purpose of a notary. Rejects my passport, or out state ID cards. And rejects non-govt docs to get notarized. Went to him twice, both times I want to slap him. These arent the first times for me to need to get things signed.

Completely inept and arrogant. Avoid this store. Not upstanding business practices and they refuse to take any responsibility for their mishandling of you packages. If you drop it off here, it may be the last time it is seen and they will not take any responsibility.

Shipped 27 iMac from here to Stafford, TX yesterday. Paid for packing, shipping and insurance. It arrived today damaged! I can tell you that whoever packed it, is not professional as claimed on the web! Should have packed myself and save time/$$. Dont use this store.
Do not come to this ups. They lost my packages for 2 times when I used their mail box . Its total 6 packages. The owner said the camera in the back doesnt work. I cant find out who stole them. Very bad!!!

Not really sure why anyone would go here. They tried to sell me a $12 box when I had already paid for priority mail with supplied box and then argued with me when I told them they were wrong.
