On Friday afternoon my friends 15 year old daughter - who is black- was shopping at Divine Treasures - a little shop on the square in Georgetown.She was looking at rings when out of the blue an employee (Manager? Owner?) approaches her and said sternly “Just so you know... WE HAVE SECURITY CAMERAS IN HERE...”She left in tears. She understood very well what had just happened.The world should know what they do to black customers.

Friendly staff, Huge variety, and great pricing.Whenever I need thoughtful gifts or decor for the house, I can always find what I’m looking for here. Whether it’s for the patio or the living room, the place has it. Check out the scented wax assortment for your home (trust me, you get a lot of variety for your hard earned dollar).Room for improvement: The store could use some compartmentalizing because the variety can be a little overwhelming. You want to get lost in the ‘trinketiness’ but not too lost. Maybe sections divided by room of the house or something...
