Dont quite understand the hype. All the breads are so so. The Thai milk tea is good but not much better than any other Thai milk tea. The milk tea was good, u should come only for it
I love this place and go here every now and again, my boyfriend loves their taro smoothie and I love the matcha bun amongst other things! However, they definitely need to routinely check on their desserts - one of our mousses had mold on it, definitely a no-no in the food world! Sadly, it was a take-out order and we didn’t see this until we got home.
Everything I’ve had from here is so delicious. The savory, the sweet, all of the drinks I had are so good. A highlight is the Choco Dinosaur Egg, it tastes like a giant delicious soft oreo. I’ve been back a lot and everyone working here is always so nice. Definitely recommend trying something here!
Fresh pastires but I dont like that this location doesnt make the multigrain loaf which is in my opinion one of the best things they make. As a chain they should make all the things on the menu.
There was a hair in one of my sweet pan! No way Jose Im out nope 🤮🤢
I love the welcoming smiles from the staff. They place is always very tidy and clean. There’s a lot of items to choose from. They drinks are also very delicious and well prepared. I will definitely always stop by this store.
Actually, I would never go to this place, but my wife loves it. And what makes my wife happy makes my life much better. She loves the sea salt tea series, the single-slice cakes, and many of the baked bread options.
Amazing bakery, dont miss the sea salt coffee!!
This is an amazing spot for great boba drinks. They put a good amount of boba and there are many of teas, smoothies, and milk teas to chose from. I also enjoy the lychee with their tea. There also is a bakery section with a wide variety of savory and sweet options. The puff pastries are to die for. The sweets are a little on the pricier side but totally worth it.
I loved it. I got a strawberry mousse cake, and some little extras like the hot dog bun which is sooo good. Nice clean. Recommend it.
Why it’s only working two people They’re not letting people inside all people standing outside it’s cold and there waiting for two workers To be fast
I love their drinks. Just an FYI. They do not take cash, usually pretty busy make sure if you pay for parking that you have enough in the meter.
Got here on grand opening day and while it was packed to the brim, they were very well prepared and had everyone in and out as soon as possible. I think this bodes well for when things die down and level off to normal rates as it shows theyll be quick to everything.I got the 10 cent iced sea salt coffee, which tasted just perfect! The sea salt was just enough where it did t overpower the rest of the coffee and the cream on top was a great topper! Also got the egg tart, which was great tasting! They bring out fresh pastries every few minutes or so, which means there wont be a long wait for your favorite to come out!
Excellent location, clean store, friendly staff. Always have just the treats Im looking for!
Good food and drinks but there is the service is bad at the moment, not for the employees because there is only 3 people working. People making line outside and nobody is indicating when to get in. Not a good experience at the moment.
Kids love the boba & the pastries.
Always make the line move very quickly being 5 people capacity inside the shop.
They have great frsh made options. Im also a fan of their house named Coffee drink.
I like coz it followed health protocols;😷 have loved their pastries esp ones I buy😋
This bakery is so good!!! Ill be going out of my way to stop by and get more goodies.
The Sea salt coffee is so good! 👍👍👍
Always get a warm fuzzy feeling when I visit 85°C Bakery. Their carefully and lovingly created danishes always please even picky eaters. I usually by for my office and every single one gets eaten up!!
Bakery was freshly made and tasted great. The staff was quick and very polite. I like the ambience also. I normally go to the one in Northridge but I’ll say that this one has a better setting. Parking sucks compared to the one in NORTHRIDGE but other then that the place is great.
Totally was the one and amazing good food they can share to their avid customers. Amazingly tasty food! Savory and sweet bakery with delicious meat pies that I always love and good customers service.
So many delicious baked goods to try. My favorites are the brioche loaf, garlic cheese bread, and taro roll! Super affordable! An assorted box is always a hit at parties.
Always fresh pastries and baked goods. Just pay attention when ordering drinks. Depending on who makes it, the mixing of it may be off. Nothing major, but worth keeping an eye on so you can enjoy your drink!
I used to always go to their location in Hacienda Heights but now that theyve opened in Glendale, its a lot more convenient for me to go to their shop. The store is pretty sizable, seated area is small and cramped so not really ideal for if you want to do some work there.Parking is really hard as theres tons of other shops on the boulevard so you might have to park a bit far or circle around and have someone shop.Service is generally fast but docked a star because although the Glendale shop is closer, I miss the enthusiasm of the workers at Hacienda Heights. Whenever new bread comes out, they always say Fresh bread! with fervor but the workers at Glendale dont say it anymore or its in a monotone voice.
I don’t know what type of magic happens in this place but I love it. I literally get everything they have to offer. You really can’t go wrong!
Everyone is super nice and professional, its very clean and fully stocked up on breads, I would 100% recommend this place to friends and family.
Oh WOW. Get a tray. Get a tong. Pick up cakes. Pay for the goodies. Devour said goodies. The whole place is amazing. And the variety of cookies and cakes, the smell, the uniqueness of it all just adds to the yummy flavors of the pastries they serve.
This bakery is awesome! You can get good pastry here, or a boba milk tea.The pastries are made fresh and on the premises daily. The sweet rolls are amazing!
I would love to give this 85C five stars, but compared to the one in Old Town Pasadena and even the one in Alhambra, the seating is just so limited. Additionally, when we come in the evenings, and maybe its just because there is so much less demand at night, the selection is very small for baked items. Otherwise, the service is consistent and so are the drinks.
Love this bakery! Some many choices of different pastries and breads. So delicious! Only been to the one in Cali but going to check out the one in Vegas. A+
It can be pretty busy here (especially on Monday mornings) but the drinks are fantastic... My favorite is the peach green tea with boba. They also have a great selection of sweet or savory pastries, all at a very good price. If Im late to work, I know I can come here for a quick breakfast and coffee for around $5.
Huge selection, everything is kept so fresh and delicious. Cheaper than others
So many good pastries to pick from, but the blueberry cheesecake has been a long time favorite. Its a great place to go try a variety of savory and sweet pastries without busting the bank.
Open as of 6/27/2020! the bakery had fewer options, but you are still able to pick out your breads/pastries. they are all pre-wrapped in plastic. only 10 people allowed inside at a time and plastic shields between customers/employees at the cash registers.i ordered an oolong milk tea with boba and less ice. when they rang me up, they forgot my boba and made it a regular oolong tea. i brought it up and they did a 2nd transaction (50 cents) for the boba... and then i had to tell the barista directly that it was supposed to be a milk tea. hard to clarify your order when wearing a mask, but i feel like they should at least try to verify before you swipe your credit card! drink was good though -- nice tea flavor and quality boba.
Amazingly tasty food! Savory and sweet bakery with delicious meat pies, potato balls, sandwiches and a delectable assortment of cheesecake, cupcakes, chocolate mousse and more! I try to visit every time Im in Los Angeles! Very friendly and helpful staff! Highly recommend this bakery!
This weekend we stop in horrible service we are standing in line we were skipped few times before they acknowledge that we were in line, ask for help very short with us, they act its bother to them that we where there
Wow, the items here are scrumptious! Everything looks great and everything I tried was delicious. They offer sweet and savory options. Tried some desserts-great. Tried a basic bread-great. Coffee-great. Tried a flat pizza type thing-delicious. Seems those sell out quick. My favorite, so far, the cinnamon roll. It was heavenly. Nuts were at the bottom.Items baked on premise, if you have time to wait, they make fresh stuff.Ive already been back. Its great!
Still great service and quality drinks/pastries.
Great place for a quick and savory baked good or some sweet treats. I love coming here and grabbing as many garlic cheese breads as I can. Their prices are more than affordable for the kinds of flavors you can get here.
Friendly and good service plus fresh bakery
Not into sweet bread but into the savoury stuff. It is delicious but it seems like even the savoury cheesy breads have so much sugar in them. The hot dog bread is so sweet. Good place but slow down on sugar on the salty savoury breads. :D
85C Bakery Café was only a block or so from our hotel in Glendale so we found ourselves there for breakfast most mornings during our Christmas visit to Los Angeles. Our daughter and son-in-law would come to the hotel and we’d walk to 85C. 85C is a true bakery with counter service and just a few seats. We were lucky enough each of the 5-6 days we went to grab the 4 only ‘real’ upholstered chairs in the bakery, otherwise there were a few stools/counters. You can expect a line most times, but it moves fairly quickly. My family enjoyed their taro bread, cheese pies, chocolate croissants, ham and cheese bun, and potato cheese pastry while I found the Chocolate chip bowl, brioche, mangotale and cream cheese danish I ordered to be processed looking and pretty much tasting like something from a box at the grocery store, not like items from a specialty bakery. As for beverages, I had two types of smoothies and my son had one - strawberry/banana and mango/peach. Here 85C shines! Both were excellent, and, though pricey, were fairly large and satisfying. My husband fell in love with the grapefruit tea, which he ordered every day. He likes unsweetened tea, so the grapefruit only added a bit of taste without that sweetness. I tried it and it wasn’t my ‘cup of tea’😉, but very unique and cool. The coffee was excellent though expensive. I think most people will find 85C offers enough variety that there is something for everyone, though it may take a few tries to determine exactly what that may be.
Very fresh and delicious breads, Portuguese custard tarts, and Japanese custard cheese tarts. A bit on the pricey end but tasty. Great location! Street parking. Would definitely buy again.
Im so happy to have an 85 Degrees move closer to my workplace, although its a bit dangerous! All of the popular offerings are there: taro bread, fruit tart, mocha bread, cakes, boba, sea salt coffees, egg tart--gangs all here! The space is pretty small compared to Pasadenas so Im not sure how this place will do when theres a rush or a holiday season crowd. Its not a true competitor to Portos (doesnt offer as many savory dishes or can handle the numbers), but its also not trying to be. Love getting my Taiwanese pastries! Never leave us!
Really love the pastries here. 85 has tons of delicious breads and cakes to choose from. They have a distinctive flavor with an Asian influence. The selection changes on a regular basis so theres always something new to try. They do coffee, tea, and all kids of boba drinks as well as smoothies. Id recommend coming in on a Monday where they do a drink special.
Clean, attractive layout, great pastries, a tad pricey though for some items
Their pastries are ok but bread is soggy, isnt baked well
This is a Taiwanese bakery cafe. Excellent baked goods. Cakes are beautiful and not too sweet. Very unique menu including a bun that tastes like Oreos, a baguette made with bacon, etc. Teas are delicious as is the sea salt coffee. If you spend $20 or more you might get a free mug. Big fan.
I love that this branch is closer to where I live. I can get a quick bite anytime Im craving for pastries. And you should definitely try their sea salt drinks with boba! Its the best sea salt drinks Ive ever tasted! 😋
Wow many times I go somewhere else to find this bakery finaly here at Glendale .ca. brand Blvd. Close to shopping center. This bakeshop is good for refreshment and bread they also have coffee, (cold or hot ) the cakes have a unique taste of oriental flavor. Nice people and ambience for fast grab n go . Parking are always available at st. Side . Good to have this here it balance the competition and selection of consumers. Thumbs up! For 85°
I was happy this place existed and happy it was a drive away from my place of residence. My waist line is now a bit nervous since the glendale location opened, but I think Ill make it work. Worth the effort. Fantastic bread, pastures both sweet and savory. Good indication that Glendale is up and coming.
They have a promotion of .85 cents coffee and Im allergic to milk and I say I only want the coffee without milk and it tells me you do not take it that way or you pay 1.75 $ more is not for the price it is just nowhere says the promotion its only with milk it sucks the attention of this restaurant poorly served by Ashley I hope you tell me where it says only with milk😡😡
Been spending more time in the Glendale area as of late and was overjoyed when my girlfriend told me the was an 85 here! Smaller than the one near home (Gardena,) but still very nice and the breads taste the same. Not my favorite location, but still very nice. Was just there today as a matter of fact.
The corner spot 85 tastes great just like every 85C bakery i’ve been to. I feel that the selection isn’t as wide compared to the 85 in torrance i’ve been to. The service is fast and the team is very polite from my experience. The lack of the final star is mainly due to the parking experience. If it’s late or early it’s typically open in spots however it’s pretty inconvenient to drive around looking for a decent spot.Parking right in front is typically a dollar an hour (at time of writing this) and the parking machine takes card as well which is very helpful. Otherwise on orange behind the 85 theres a parking structure that’s 90 minutes free. I usually use that one but beware around noon and 5pm depending on days, it gets pretty packed in there too.Otherwise it’s a great spot and can’t go wrong with their strong seasalt series.
Great service and good food thanks for working hard on this days
They have many different pastries both sweet and savory. Things you just dont find anywhere else. The chocolate rolls are really tasty and the mushroom cheese bread sticks are excellent.
I like going to this place when I can because they always have something that I want to try.
I personally dont think that they have good pro6, theyre all tasteless and fake.Looks nice, but theres no taste.Never going back in there stores.
Always good for snacks & items to have with coffee! Love their milk tea and I tried it with the coffee jelly. Reasonably priced and not as crowded as Portos down the street.
Great... I got some Guava Pastries for my co workers and a Taro Bun for myself. Employees are super friendly and always ask if I needed help.
A great place to satisfy your sweet tooth, get breads and savory pastries, or just a nice coffee/tea. I wish there were even more locations!
Coffee is good, but my son got an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients here. Hes not allergic to nuts or anything like that. I wonder what it could have been. Hes never experienced anything like that with anything he has eaten before.
Pretty good selection and very tasty pastries but the employees give off a really negative vibe. Almost as if they dont like their jobs, made me feel unwelcome.
Great pastries and baked goods!! Best Ive had in LA.. however their drinks are terrible which is such a shame.
Excellent
Goodness, Kindness, Happiness!
85 degrees in best desserr/pastries in Southern California. Theyve been around for at least 7 years yet the sweets are perfection. Prices increase just a tad though very reasonable. The only reason to not have 5 stars is horrid parking in Glendale.
Every time I visit my mother I get her get some pastries from this fabulous Bakery
While I cant eat here (Im gluten-free), this is one of the places I always take visitors who come to Los Angeles. Everyone Ive brought here loves the baked goods, and they have a variety of options Ive never seen anywhere else.Ill generally get myself a coffee or tea, while my gluten eating family and friends go nuts over this place. Its always a winner!
That mango creme brulee cake was amazing. Loved it completely. The only downside is that their prices are not as low as they like to say it is. But I would still buy it again for the right occasion.
Very good, would love it if they added a description of what the product was your buying though
Great and tasty selection of pastries! Not the usual fair which is something I love!
Delicious and unique treats. All coffees are espresso based. No drip coffee, but its very good.
Everything is delicious do yourself a favor and eat everything they have
Scrumptious delicious exquisite delightful squishy bread treats 😋
The bakery is very conveniently located on brand. Coffee is great but the baked products are hit or miss. They have wacky flavors but some of their baked goods are amazing. Overall a good experience. I wish they had some more seating.
Its a place if you want to take some thing face Fancy to a birthday 🎂 or mothers day they have fancy drinks and always coming out with New drinks 😁😊😉
