I would really like to tell you about how great the food was in this place. I would really like to tell you about the fantastic service, the old-world manners, the comfortable if rustic seating in the dining room, the cleanliness of the kitchen oh, and the Elegance of the presentation. I would really really like to tell you about all that. But I cant. When I walked in, I asked if the dining room was open. I was told yes it was as I started to move towards the dining room oh, I also inquired about the availability of a restroom. I was told they had no restroom. Now, I dont know how you feel about this sort of thing, but it is my experience... no, beyond that. My experience has led to an expectation, one that is quite reasonable from any standpoint: if you are going to operate a restaurant oh, you must provide a bathroom for your customers. This is not a matter of choice or an option that may or may not be granted to you by local city government. The simple fact is is that you must provide restroom facilities. You did not. And the result is you did not get my business. Please think about this the next time you want to tell someone no

We are half turkish and it was so nice to see familiar food that we also cook and eat from home (Istanbul). On our first visit, a nice cashier lady gave my daughter a sweet treat. Kind and helpful staff.

Its a hidden little gold mine of yummies in Glendale.Their speciality flat bread called Sangak is really magnificent. I use to pick one up every sunday with their cucumber yogurt, hummus, and babaganoush. Their meat dolmas are some of my favorite in LA. I like that the grape leaves are really soft and and the veins in the grape leaves arent hard. The flavor in the dolma is incredible, so savory and perfect with lots of meat. The only thing Im not a huge fan of are their kabobs. Whole foods kabobs beat them unfortunately in both flavor and tenderness but this place has a lot going for them its not a huge deal.If youre lucky enough to live close to here give some of their speciality items a try. Youll love them, too.

This place is really good. Their sandwiches are f-ing huge. I always make sure to add onion with the sandwiches because onions do not come standard with the everything order. The cold sandwiches have a lot of meat and only cost like 6 or 7 bucks. Same thing with the hot sandwiches. Ive tried the turkey and salami with cheese and it was way better than any sandwich that big and at that price should cost. But, hands down, the best sandwiches are the hot sandwiches. The chicken kebab sandwich is delicious. Seriously, if you are into grilled chicken sandwiches, I dare you to show me a better one within 10 miles. The raw meats are probably the best part of this market. Whenever I get meat to grill or cook for my family they look at me like Ive wasted my life not being a chef. Well...maybe I have. Or maybe its that the pre marinaded meats are so good that only a fool can ruin the cooking process. Im not allowed to have a grill at my place, but I can tell you that if you grab any of the kebab meats and throw it in the oven at 450 for 8-10 mins you will be a god. Obviously if you have access to a grill it would be much better.Last of all, they have the best Sangak. Im not Armenian or Persian (I dont even know if sangak is attributed to either of these cultures), but I can tell you that if you have not had sangak, you do not know whats up with bread. I will probably sound disrespectful and ignorant, but sangak is like a thin bread that is pretty doughy. It is way thinner than pita but much more functional. As a Mexican-American, it kinda reminds me of a thick tortilla. It is so good and THEY MAKE IT FRESH ALL DAY. Make sure you buy the warmest slab or just get it fresh right when they make it.Check my reviewing history. I never review unless I believe in what Im posting. Im only writing this review now because Ive enjoyed many sandwiches, but I just recently bought and cooked the lamb kebab and beef kebab and blew everyone away with it.
