I had my first appointment with Dr. McVey today after recently purchasing a VSP insurance plan and looking for a new in-network provider. I must say that it was incredibly fortunate that Dr.McVey and her staff were my first choice as they are not only professional but very kind, patient, thorough, and understanding. You can tell that she is in this business because she wants to be of service to the community and I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a new Optometrist give Dr.McVey and her staff a try. She is definitely in touch with the human element that comes with providing healthcare to her patients.

The best I have ever seen. So lucky to have Dr. McVey as my eye doctor. Her treatment and advice was the most informative I have received. She advised me as to my cataracts and retinal problems so probably saved my future eyesight problems. Thank you Dr. McVey.

Not happy at all. Took my glasses in to get repaired and it’s been over 2 weeks now and still don’t have them. The funniest thing is when I first got them it came in like a little over a week to come in. And when I call they hang up on me. And I know who it is. Well they can keep them!! I just want my refund. I will be going somewhere..thank you

The doctor was very helpful! She told me a lot knowledge of lazy eye, I got the exam done and got my glasses! Feel like my world is bright again hahah! Highly recommended!!!

Dr. McVey is very professional and caring. I was visiting from out of state when I developed a problem with my eye and needed to see an OD soon. I called her office just after they opened at 8:00 and had an appointment within the hour! She was very thorough and explained what she was doing and seeing as she examined my eyes. She prescribed eye drops and I received a call from her the next day to see how I was doing and if I had any problems getting the prescription filled. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an optometrist and would go to her if I lived in Arizona!

Very thourgh new patient eye exam I have ever had. The explanations on all levels were outstanding. The entire staff was very helpful and processing my glasses was amazing. I highly recommend this office for your eye care.

Dr. McVey is wonderful, I just had the most thorough eye exam ever. Her staff is equally professional and helpful. We have been searching for a new eye doctor for two years; Im so happy to say we have found a home for our eye care. They also have a nice selection of glasses and take the time with you to find the perfect pair.

Horrible service and such rude people that work there . They want me to pay money for images of my cornea that I don’t need and continue to badger you the whole time your are there to buy them. On top of that the ladies talk to you with such a horrible attitude . My family and I have all left their facility! Never will go back.

Best eye doctor in the state! She is gifted at determining your needs and explains your eyes to you so it is clear and understandable. She is able to relate your vision needs to your occupation or hobbies. One of my moms friends went to her and she knew they had cancer by looking at her eyes. She was sensitive and caring when explaining it- even had a referral for s cancer doctor immediately the same day. She treats everyone in my family and we are all more than satisfied with the service.

She is very good, friendly and knowledgeable. she is a little nerdy about her job which is perfect since she really explains what is happening in your eyes, how best to work with issues, and makes you feel comfortable. her optician is very good at framing your face with different styles and finding options within your budget and insurance to make you look great.

Simply the best eye doctor. Have been lucky to have friends refer her for my eye care a couple of years ago. She is very attentive to every detail. She calls and checks on you if there are any issues of concern. I had eye pain after hours she got me in immediately and called to check on me the following day she is five star and more

Doctor Jan is the greatest, she does a complete eye exam using all the new equipment that is available. Her knowledge of the workings of the eye is awesome. She also takes care of all our grand children eye exams and they are very happy with the care they receive.

Dr. McVey is so compassionate and always educates you as to what she is recommending and why. She recently saw me on short notice and diagnosed a serious condition that would have been much worse if not treated immediately. Instead of relief in 2 weeks I was dramatically improved in 2 days! I cant thank her and her staff enough!

I highly recommend Dr. McVey. She doesnt *just* care about your eyes, she genuinely cares about YOU! Dr. McVey and her whole staff treat you with compassion and provide excellent patient care. Not only that, but Dr. McVey is an incredibly gifted and intelligent expert in her field. Its rare to find that combination of high skill with a good bedside manner - but she has them both. My entire family has gone to her for years and have benefited greatly by her care. So if you would like to be treated like a valued patient and receive personal, friendly care (instead of being treated like just a number in the health care system) then definitely call Dr. McVey.

Im sure McVey is a competent OD; however, her manner is heavy handed. I did not appreciate her contentious style.
