My wife loves this place. She has shopped there for years. Took one of her machines in today for something that had gone. Mulqueen had it repaired in less than 15 minutes and she was in her way. Great employees. Tremendous custom service.
Tooks wifes embroidery machine in due it nor not auto loading the thread into needle. Spoke with Janice, she took machine and checked it in front of me said looks like needle is to small. Replace needle and showed me how to auto load thread into needle.Machine works as it is supposed to no repair needed. Great customer service with an extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. Now it up to me to show other half proper way to use it.
I brought My machine into Malqueen sewing & fabric to get fixed. I informed the lady when making the appt. as well as the lady when I dropped the machine off that my machine need to be fix. The needle just stops in middle of sewing and I either have to rotate the wheel or power off the machine to get it to sew again. She said the repairman will check it out and if had any question they would call or text me. She stated it might take 2 weeks as they were backed up.I was surprised as I got a call just a few days later stating I can come pick up my machine. I replied that was quick. Were they able to fix the problem. She said yes we got it fixed you can come get it.When I picked the machine up the next day. I ask the lady before checking out if they got the problem I was having with the needle stopping fixed. She replied Yes.After I get it home I go to sew and within 3 min my needle stop. I try again with the machine and sure enough same problem. I call them the next day (less than 24 hours) and the lady who answered state they fixed it as you can see he did a sample stitch out. I told her no I can do a sample stitch out as well but the problem is the needle stops and then I have to either turn the wheel or turn the machine off so I will be able to finish my sewing and she said The repair man probably did not encounter that problem when he tested it and they don’t have 30 min to waste testing it. I said they don’t have to wait no more than 5 min before the needle stop. She then stated if that is the case then it sounds like your motor is going out.I said well you charged me 140 and my machine is not fixed like you said it was. You need to reimburse me or fix my machine. She stated no we did a service and its $139.99. I said no I brought the machine in to get it fixed. She stated if you like you can make another appt to bring it back and we will send it to the Mesa store and have them put in a new motor if that is the problem. If it is it will not be the factory motor as Singer discontinued the QuantumXL6000 and she stated it would be very expensive. I laugh and stated do you really think I would bring my machine back to you, So you can take more advantage of me.No, Thank You!! I’m now out a $139.99 and most likely a sewing machine because I will never trust another sewing machine repair shop to not take advantage of me.MY ADVICE TEST YOUR MACHINE BEFORE YOU PAY THEM.
Very clean and organized facility, knowledgeable and friendly employees with fair prices. Awesome!
Love the store, the ladies that work there are so helpful and as sweet as can be. They know what their talking about
This is a family owned and operated business in its third generation now. If you need it, they have it. You can be sure of quality and care when shopping here. From machines, to scissors, fabric, sewing and embroidery supplies. The bonus is how great the staff is. Mulqueens also services what they sell. You dont have to send it out. Thanks for 44 years
This weeks sale event with all the different companies was great! Some of the deals was really good.. Fabric and notions are the best price in the valley☺.. The ladies at the Glendale store makes that store.
Great family owned business. The Mulqueen family cares about their customers. Wonderful quality fabric at great prices and selection. Many brands of sewing machines carried. Love doing business with them!
Best place to buy a sewing machine! Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Super sweet staff. Great online shopping and selection! I love following them on Facebook - they always have great giveaways, funny jokes and sneak peeks! :)
Love these people! This is a family run business and they are all amazing. They are both professional and fun to work with. I have attended their online Barn/Anniversary event and have learned so much! I have enjoyed all the fun and prizes and the camaraderie. The quality of vendors they have procured for us has been amazing. There have been so many different products to see, techniques to learn and stuff to buy! I wish they were a Babylock dealer because they would be MY DEALER for service. But they will be my new dealer when I receive my brand new Disney (I LOVE DISNEY) Scan and Cut. Thank you all
Very frustrated with this store. Dropped off my machine due to squeaking, was told it only needed oil and would be done later that day or the following day. This was even notated on the work order in the due date section. The two days passed, then 5, I called and was told for sure by Friday. Friday I called in the early afternoon, asking to speak to Karen, who had promised me Friday. She tried to pass my phone call off to another employee as to not deal with the situation, my machine wasnt there and she said they had no way to get it, she said she would call me back. Two hours later I called back after not hearing from her and she, of course, was gone for the day. I was helped by a very kind woman named Donna, thank you Donna, and she called to the Mesa office for me to find more information. I am incredibly upset at how I was treated, the excuses I was given (sometimes people say things they dont mean, being my favorite one) and the lack of respect towards customers that the staff at this store showed. This is not the way a store should be run or managed. I was greeted with rudeness and attitude from the staff, except from Donna, and I wish there was someone who I could report this to but they never seem to be available. Definitely a frustrating experience and now I need to travel an hour to Mesa simply to pick up my machine.
My wife said that they have a very nice selection of material and reasonably priced.
I ordered some fabric on 8/11/20 expecting it to arrive in a week or two. It arrived today, 8/15/20! The fabric is beautiful and good quality Cotton. I really am thrilled with the incredibly fast turnaround and the price. If you are on the fence about ordering online because you want to touch your fabric first, dont be, their fabrics are wonderful! My only wish is for them to get their licensed fabrics restocked, know its hard with the pandemic, but...
The fabric selection and prices are great, its the rude lady that acts like the manager that ruined my visit. She asked if I was looking for something, I said a bobbin case for my Brother machine, which they sell, she began a tirade that lasted until I walked away. Boiled down: no desire to see if they carry it, told me to look online for it. Just went on and on, very loudly asking model number and details which I gave her, but she never even attempted to look for it, or direct me to service area. She had zero desire to actually help me. My husband and I would have walked out if we hadnt brought another couple who quilt who had never heard of Mulqueen. Also, you have to have all your fabric cut when youre done shopping and evidently only 1 staff is allowed to cut, so we had to wait for 30 min for my friends turn to get her fabric cut, this was all one persons stuff and not that much. 2nd cutting area setup, but rude lady wont help. I couldnt bring myself to spend money in the place yesterday, so disgusted.
We’ve been Mulqueen customers for years and years. We recently moved to Goodyear and this store happens to be our closest location and we will literally drive over an hour to go to a different store. The employees in the store are inconsistent and rude and not helpful in the least bit.Went I today ready to drop thousands and walked out after the same lady who (completely mask less) helped me last time began chastising my disabled veteran husband about how to wear his mask.
Was looking forward to visiting the store. Usually shop on line and had been very happy. I traveled approximately 200 miles to the valley. I was hoping to shop at the store. But I was turned away because I did not have an appointment. I do understand the concern with Covid but the policy was not published well. I cannot say if I would have been happy or not with the facility. Just disappointed.
I love shopping at Mulqueens. Call Quinns is a great family run business. Staff is super friendly and helpful. And if you buy a sewing machine from them you will always get a 20% discount.
I love this place. Their fabric is less expensive than some other quilt shops Ive been to. The staff is friendly and so helpful. We took my moms 40 year old Singer in for repairs because it stopped working a few years ago. Turned out no big repairs were needed only maintenance and a few adjustments. For $100 my mom has her old friend back and shes very happy. I whole heartedly recommend Mulqueen.
Great selection of fabric, helpful staff - couldnt recommend Mulqueen more!
Great little quilt/fabric shop. They have a large selection of quilting cottons, threads and notions. They have a section of sewing and embroidery machines (and they are very willing to show you how they work). They have a wall of feet for the machines they carry. Their quilting cottons are a little less expensive than the big box store and when they have a sale youll want to stock up! Everyone is super friendly. I enjoy going there just to see what I havent seen yet.
So much stuff! 😍
Love this place, the ladies that work here are very helpful. They helped me find just the right fabric for my baby quilt. The fabric is good quality and reasonable priced.
I love this store! Best quality materials and prices! The staff is great and I always find what I want. Its too bad that they are less than 2 miles from home and it takes me 6 or 7 minutes to get there! Youve got to check it out!
The customer service is absolutely amazing. All the workers are respectful and helpful. They are genuinely interested in assisting customers. I love this store.
Very helpful on any questions. Great prices. Nice variety of fabric. Thy will bring in items from the other store that you need or want. Have never had any issue or disappointment with any of my purchases.
Recently Keith Mulqueen Installed new wheels and track on my Gammill with Statler Stitcher. He told me I would notice a big difference in the smoothness and ease I would have with my new system. You were absolutely right Keith. Thank you so much for making my job a whole lot easier!
Was very disappointed in this stores website. I was looking for some blue batiks and just about every one was out of Stock. If they are out of something, then remove it from the site. Once they get it back, they could add it back in. Probably wont go back to looking for other fabric. I dont have time to figure out what is in stock and what isnt.
Loved the store. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me find everything I needed to finish my quilt. Will definitely go back.
Best sewing center in the valley. Everyone bends over backwards to help you. I have purchased 5 machines here and have not been disappointed.
I love shopping at this store. Staff is wonderful and make customer feel like old friends. Great selection of fabrics, thread and quilting and sewing supplies. Great prices even when not having a sale.
Great employees, lots of nice fabrics and good sales. What more could you ask for?
Fabulous shop! Great customer service and good selections of quilting fabric and notions. Great service on all makes and models of sewing machines and vacuums.
The store is well taken care of, has a good selection of fabrics & machines. The staff is knowledgable & helpful. I am going to try some of the classes.
Great local quilt shop. Friendly, nice and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of quality fabrics, sewing machine sales and repair and fun classes.
First time there but the people were very helpful and friendly and they had a great selection of fabric and supplies.
We went in with my sewing machine and needed parts for it. The person working there kept trying to tell us we needed to let their service technician look at it, which would take several days, with a charge. We didnt need it fixed, we just needed parts. She wouldnt even point us to the right area where they sold a few of the parts we needed in the store. Very weird. I dont think it was a miscommunication. So we went to JoAnns and they found several parts, and attached them, for us. Will not go back to Mulqueen.
Lots of fabric. Different brands of machine from beginners to expert. straight stitch to embroidery to longarm.
Great staff, super friendly and helpful. Great prices, so many fabrics and notions that were priced for real people who have real budgets to balance!
Manager Maria at the glendale location failed to honor a price on a tag. She even became argumentative when I called he out on it. Where Im from when companies make a mistake they eat it for the sake of having business ethics and integrity. But I guess thats not the case here.I wont be spending any more money there.
Very satisfied. Was treated very good. Will go back
Marcie was a great clerk. Most helpful and a good eye for matching colors. She was great.
No help at a competitors store. Walked in here they were enthusiastic. Googled the right bobbin for me and so pleasant.
The employees make you feel special every time you go. Everyone is very helpful.
Love the employees at this location always make you feel welcome and is more than helpful.. just a wonderful crew
Very friendly and very helpful. I loved my first visit and will go back.
Very nice staff that are clearly well educated. Good selection of fabric, machines and supplies. However, machines are highly over priced. Do you research before purchasing from this store. I purchased a Juki serger and would have saved over $100 by purchasing elsewhere. Nice if you need a payment plan because they do finance... but if you are going to buy outright you should shop around because they are overpriced. I wish I would have researched more before purchasing from Mulqueen.
Grate fabric nice people no problems great help go there check it out thanks to all people there
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Best prices for designer fabric!
Needed a certain kona cotton. Knew Mulqueen would have it. They carry a huge selection of kono and backing fabrics. Can always count on them to help when I am at a standstill in one of my quiltes.
Favorite place for quality fabrics. The sales personnel are so helpful they really know there merchandise.
Very pleasant staff, helpful. Got my machine there and price was good.
