Not sure why but when I asked to see a manager, the cashier ignored my request twice. Then told me as rudely as possible that the manager was gone today. I only wanted to let the manager know that their dairy fridge was running at room temperature! And the products were warm. See my photos. How does this place stay in business?
I had purchased a ton of merchandise in this Grocery shop seven days prior. The products are generally new, and it dazzled me. You anticipate that I should go there once more! Cheers, folks!
This place is selling frozen food and is adding sales tax. When I complained by the low you can not do that. Is illegal. The cashier is saying I don’t know, when asking where is the manager, the response is : he is not there,Then she explained yes is frozen but we cooked . I am explaining everything is cooked, but when you sell frozen and not heated before selling, by the low you can not charge tax to customers. They don’t want to understand the low, if you continue to explain more, they say you don’t like don’t shop here.I’m wandering the city of Glendale doesn’tSend inspectors to check the businesses? This people they charge you tax for cold food and rip you off and the money goes to their pocket.Hope someone pays attention to this issue.Cold food to go ( dolmas / cutlet when is frozen) do not change taxes.
A grocery store with excellent prices for fresh fruit and vegetables. Has all the the Iranian and Armenian items. One of my favourite places to shop in Glendale.
Great store with variety of fresh produce with a reasonable price. Mediterranean, Iranian, Armenian....
The most depressing supermarket. Its makes me feel like Im in Eastern Europe or somewhere out there. I remember this used to be a cool Ralphs back in the day. Put a Sprouts or 365 Market would be nice. Never again. Whatever you do dont go here walk away.
Expired shelf life everywhere!! Beware. Cashiers lie about the availability of the manager! And the manager is RUDE and IMPOLITE. They sell breads with mold on it and refuse to accept that their product was expired! I had to argue with the RUDE manager to get my full refund, I was even about to call the police for his behaviour!DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!
I visited the store on Sunday, May 30, I did look at the ground beef at the meat department, it looks so good, I purchased 2 pound of the ground beef, when I went home the meet on outside looks good, but the inside looks dark black, it’s not the way I saw it at the meat department, I would no longer visit that store
This is the worst Middle Eastern Supermarket ever, their prices are very high, meat & produce are old & rotten, you all work very hard for your money, just use your brains & dont ever shop there. They have the worst customer service ever & this store manager is extremely very very rude. He has no manners & customer service whatsoever. He shouldnt be working in a place like that, more or less be a manager. Just go to Jons Markets & Vons Markets instead, you wont regret it,. Everything they have are very-very fresh, & they have the best customer service & very knowledgeble & polite managers.
Me and my fam loved this store until a big fat guy yelled at me to leave the store while i returned to the store trying to ask something about the products i just bought a min ago. He told me they r closed but its still 15 mins from their actual closing time. after i checked with the cashier and heading to the exit he came again and said I need to leave. i told him i was going to. He said to me: great! the store doesnt need a customer like U. will never go to this place again.
Great place to deliver to. Shout out to Alfred and Luis.
They have full lunch kebab menu made fresh daily, order while shopping it takes fifteen minutes for a kabob plate with generouse portion comes w rice and vegetables, persian famous dishes in the menu like khorme sabse thats really tasty!! average plate is fifteen dollars.the supermarket has plenty of parking and easy access from both sides of the building, one verdugo and second on Glendale Blvd.
The Good thing with this place is they sell some rare fruits and vegetables which cant be found at the other markets.
There is no customer service in this market. After checkout, I was concerned about bill I paid and ask the casher to explain it. Then, a tall guy come to me and ask me to leave because they are closed already while there is still 10ish min until the closing time written on the board. This guy is so rude and yelled to me that the market doesnt want any customer like me. Think before you go to the store.
Expired shelf life everywhere!! Beware. A RUDE manager that closes registers despite long lines. Grocery Store hell. No express lanes. So have funwith the 2 lines open that go to the back of the store behind people that apparently do monthly shopping here.
Very poor customer service care a less attitude shocking
Very nice supermarket at the heart of Glendale with very good prices
They are out of the same product, over and over. Could be a production 🤔 issue.
Won’t go to this store ever! They charged me Evreyskaya Dryed Salami which I had never seen, and I have never received it. I just have never taken this product into my hands. When I came back to them to show the receipt with extra $19,36, the manager told me he would not help me even if I say I didn’t receive what I was paid for. I demanded to watch recordings from the in-store cameras, but he just refused without any reason to watch them. That is inappropriate! So dirty! That is just an intended misdemeanor which must have been punished! You can go to so many stores with the better assortment without being fooled.
Large supermarket style store. Not packed with merchandise which gives it a not very welcoming look. But it has tons of great fresh vegetables and fruits. many organic selections. The fruits are not Ralphs style, all shiny without any blemishes, but the prices are sometimes half of what major supermarkets price their merchandise. Store caters to Armenian and Middle Eastern crowds. Lots of ethnic foods and spices. All sort of great variety of breads, deli meats, cheeses, bulgurs, bulk legumes, nuts, dried fruits, etc. Cant go wrong!
Great prices on produce. They also carry a large variety of cooking oils . Many more then you will find at the larger chain supermarkets. A great place for fresh Mediterranean style bread as well.
This place consistently sells produce that is already rotting on the inside. (See cucumber photo)90% of their stock is 2 weeks or less from expiring, always make sure to check before buying anything here. The cleanliness of the place deserves an E. After having purchased produce on multiple occasions that should have never been sold for human consumption - the health department has been notified and pictures and samples have been sent to them. I am curious to see what happens next.
They have a very small selection of everything. Its a last minute kind of store. Go another 3 minutes down the road and Vons has everything.
This is a family owned business good selection of fruits and vegetables. They also have a meat counter that has great meat section and also added coffee whole Beans they also have a food court that serve chicken and meat on rice and veggies I highly recommend it if youre in this area. Great prices too.
A so so market. Not enough cashiers during busy hours.
Rude manager. Poor customer service.
Good prices on produce and meat. The produce is okay. Great deli and the pre-cooked meals are fantastic at an amazing price!
This place has 8 check stands but only one or two are ever open. Im tired of waiting 40 minutes in line to buy a few groceries. All the cashiers have attitudes and no the produce is sub par at best. Im done giving them chances. I cant wait till they close down and we get something better!
Wonderful prices on produce and great Customer service from the produce man.The cashier was very pleasant too. Overall was a nice experience. Ill be going there for my produce, you cant beat the prices around here.
I bought sausage yesterday and they charged me Salami price ($16.00). I went there to return but I got problems. All I wanted was return but they didnt refund products. First they told me it was yesterday and we cant refund, then they told me we dont have manager, I talked to owner she ignored me. Any way be careful when you buy something from there. Check the price and dates. Lots of products are expired. I hope everyone gets chance to read this post before they delete it.
The manager is rude
Awesome, clean & affordable healthy supermarket 👍🏽👍🏽.
Horrible customer service by management. Also, they refuse to have an express lane. You have to wait for a long line even with one or two items.
I dont know he is the manager or owner, a tall guy around 40 years old, he is very rude and didnt care about customers and what they are complaining. He was telling that you can leave your stuff and go out of the shop and never come back again.SHAME !!!!! He is very rude, he talked with an old guy same way last week when he was asking if he can add more cashiers to get rid of long lines.I dont know how he is running that business. So sorry to have such a rude managers or owners in Glendale.
They have good location.Nice and clean place and they have fresh fruit and meat.
This place is a heaven for food lovers who like to cook!! A bit pricey but totally worth for the quality and diversity of items/produce.
Management needs to change attitude towards clients. Employees doing fine but clients get frustrated by management’s attitude, Linda thinking too much of themselves.
I write this while i am in actual line, Ive been in this line for 20 minutes after i returned from taking care an errand. Need to hire at least three more cashiers, between 430 to close. I could have gone to Sunland produce (in Sun Valley and Burbank border) and come back and still see the same people in line.Holy smokes, one of the manager just kicked out a customer complaining, i love how management waits till the customer pays first before being tossing them out. If it wasnt for that ive already committed to purchasing my deli meats and need to return to Pasadena, i would have gone to Foothill Market and Deli in Tujunga.
Love it.
Incredible prices storewide but particularly in the produce department. Average products at affordable prices with a wide range of variety that incorporates hard-to-find ingredients common Armenian, Asian, and Latino cuisine. The store is large with a butcher and deli. But the cheese section sometimes stinks and the produce can be of poor quality if the good selections are picked through before you arrive.
Raffis Place is my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in Glendale city, I love the place and the environment. they have many kind of foods and stew, the appetizers are really good and delicious! Also foods are delicious too!
Good variety, high quality but prices are higher than average supermarkets. They have a good variety of cheeses, olives and organics. They offer a variety of hot foods, salad bar, Japanese food including sushi.
For selling Turkish and Azeri products. Shame on you.
🤩 wow I found some interesting things that I used to eat in home country ❤
A middle-eastern gem. Every spice, herb, or meat you want is here. Good prices. Friendly staff. The Butcher is wonderful.
Nobody keeps safe dinstance in this grocery store. In this grocery store customers are not safe from any pandemic diseases.
Decent supermarket, great quality meat and produce.
This store is very exceptional in the products that they sell. hey are of good quality and very fresh. Prices are reasonable too.
They have stuff you cant even find at most health food stores. They have a very interesting selection of imported food.
I live close to this market. I cant be satisfied with everything, but I think it would be okay if such a market is nearby. Satisfies.
Horrible and disrespectful owners... I will never set foot in that store due to a recent incident of the owners son harassing me for taking in reusable bags. I really feel bad for the employees and how they are being treated by the owners. They are better off working somewhere else.
End of the day, just another grocery store. Normal products, vegetables, deli, canned goods, etc. delivered weekly.
The “manager”, Blond old woman, is unexpectedly scary. How it’s possible a person with 0 people skills in US is a manager? Beware of her....especially if you plan to return a spoiled product sold by their market. Cashiers are afraid of their management, because they are very abusive. One of few “Armenian” market’s that are not ashamed to sale Turkish products !!!
I love all the food they got, ready made fresh, bomb service
Great shop, good food, try the mango drink, try the hot food counter, only complaint is a slight lack of inventory
Nice
Great prices. Does get busy especially on sale days and beginning of the month but well worth it
The good thing is you can find cheaper options. The bad thing is the customer service.EDIT(DEC 2017):Their prices have noticably gone up and are not competitive anymore. We stopped shopping except for a very few items ever since.
Fun variety of ethnic foods. Personally I dont think the produce is all that great, but theyve got good prices on basics and beer.
Went to Glendale Golden Farms, bought village Russian ham on May 7,2018. I refrigerated Right away. Next day i wanted to make a sandwich and the ham had a big blue spot in the middle. I turned it over and it had more blue spots, it was sticky, gooy, and it smelled. The next day i went back to return it and they said that they don’t offer returns on deli items. The sticker on there had a price and date. The manager Anahit said they don’t take returns on deli items. Beware and don’t buy any deli items from golden farms. It is old. Even the cheese section is old and has mold on it.
This used to be a favorite store of mine, but not anymore. The produce is sad, low inventory and quality. Product selection is a quarter of what it used to be. A few basic brands now, and the employees look miserable.
Great price on produce.Park downstairs, less hassle. There is an elevator.
My grandmother was shopping here and she accidentally dropped a glass of leafs. Naturally it broke. I immediately went to the manager and told her about the incident. I apologized. I asked if There is anything I could do. The manager(a blond lady) rolled her eyes at me and refused to answer my question, and just walked away from me. I consider that rude. They need to work on their customer service skills.
The one next to 5 freeway is closed and I drove to the one next to 134 and good to see they also maintain good stuff at a reasonable price.
Great prices, good selection of meat, good selection of deli and love the marinated kabob meats yummy, lots or organic produce
Middle eastern vibe. Good variety of grains and fruits
Has a good deli meat counter with friendly service.
Seems they are going out of business. Its sad!
Interesting supply of groceries but not too many sales and not worth a trip out of your way.
Excellent market, but wish they had more new products.
Everything you can find here, fruits and vegetables are fresh, and the prices are suitable.
Strawberries and blackberries were so fresh and sweet. There is loose grains and nuts too.
Customer services needs a lot of help. Not customer centric at all. Great food.
I like this place
Very clean place great prices
Perfect! Fresh fruits and vegetables and good meals !
I dont know how they keep this business. No cashiers, no baggers and no returns and rude.
BOOOOOO AHH DONT GO HERE CALL THE COPS!!
One of the best places to buy fresh food!!
It is sad that they dont allow customers to order kebab meat by the pound to bbq in their store. They only serve by plate now which is not good for customers.
High quality of meat, fair quality for fresh produce, Armenian, Iranian, middle eastern authentic grocery store
Good selection with reasonable prices and enough parking spaces
Good local store that targets Armenians. Huge selection of meat and poultry.
Best Deals across Los Angeles North for Fresh Vegetables...
Golden Farms is a treause of fresh food at farmers prices.
Worst place to shopdont shop at this store they have really bad customer service is the worst . manager treated really bad one of her employees. I asked for some change and they told me they dont have change.what kind of store is is this doing business like this.I asked two Cashiers for help they didnt help me
The Best Armenian Store in L.A.Organic and fresh
Every things perfect.
Fresh and good produce with very low price
Like it
Fruits and Vegetables have reasonable prices.
Found great vegetable selection for juicing...
Watch out for expired merchandise. Also, unacceptable return policy. Took a dairy products home and discovered it to be spoiled. Took it back within an hour of purchasing it and the wouldnt take it back. Terrible.
Questionable fruit quality, prices are just ok, low inventory in many items, always out of bread towards end of day.
Best place for quality meat. Everything else is mediocre at best
It was good stor.
Read the reviews on google and yelp about the Rude Manager ! he is extremely Rude and careless !also i have a video of him that he dose not wear a face mask !! they are careless about customers, DO NOT GO there and spend your money ! they should go OUT of USA ! im taking LEGAL ACTIONS against them !
Good product and good prices.
