Tom did a great job and was very helpful with explaining the operation of my Cub Cadet riding mower which I just purchased from a previous owner. Tom fine tuned the engine. Oil change and new blades. Everyplace I called was three weeks to a month wait time for an appointment. Tom had me in and out of his place two days from when I first called him! I just cleared out four acres of 3 to 6 feet high weeds in Prescott! Tom is the only one I will service my Cub Cadet with! Worth the trip from Prescott to Phoenix! Thank you Tom!!

We found our new, reliable, fast, and reasonable tractor/mower repair man! Hands down the best experience with any mechanic we’ve ever had. He had our riding mower done within just a couple of hours.Originally we purchased a carburetor from Besco because they didn’t have time to fix it for us within a couple weeks. It started, but sounded awful. Turns out the carburetor was bad but Tom got us a all squared away with a new one and fixed a loose connection he found that was causing us problems starting it.I wouldn’t consider using anyone else!!

We had the unfortunate experience of putting gas in the oil area, and the engine did not run right. Called Croft, talked to Tom, and he was able to fix it with no trouble, and so quickly!! Will definitely go to him again if lawnmower repair is needed.

I had an old Craftsman Riding Lawnmower I bought used a few years ago. The belt recently broke and also wouldnt start. I tried tinkering with it myself and assumed I needed a new starter or ignition switch and also replaced the belt but I obviously put it on wrong. I found Croft on Google and spoke with Tom. After explaining my problem he didnt think it was the Starter nor ignition. I put stuff back together and took it in. Glad I did because I would have purchased parts I didnt need. We discussed that I didnt want to pay more than what it was worth. Tom said he would take a look at it. To my surprise he called the same evening and said it was done and ready. with some adjustments and replacement parts it runs better than it did when purchased. Great price also. We called and talked with Tom. He thought he could help us with our push mower and not have to leave it. Took it over and within an hour he had it running. We also had him change the oil and sharpen the blades. Excellent service. Would highly recommend.

I contacted Tom regarding my sick Lawn Tractor. After a quick discussion, Tom said it sounds like a carburetor issue and if I brought it to him by noon the next day he would have it repaired in the same day. Tom was correct on his diagnosis and performed carburetor rebuild, oil/filter and sharpened blades in time for pickup at 4:00! My Tractor runs great now and pricing for repairs was very reasonable.

This is the first time I have ever written a review. I just have to say that this afternoon at 2 pm I contacted Tom Croft and told him I needed help to remove and reattach the deck on my 2013 Craftsman LT2000 riding mower. I just sold it, and could not get it through the security gate. He said he could come over right after work, and do it for me. He came over shortly after 4 pm, and in 20 minutes, in the scorching heat, detached the deck, and reattached it, everything working so perfectly. I thank you, Tom, because I just sold it, and the buyer really needed it. If I could give you 100 stars, I would. The price was so reasonable, and his work is great. This is the second time Ive needed some work completed on my lawn care equipment. I was delighted to learn that Tom recently opened a shop down the street from me. A quick phone call and I was dropping my mower off for his expert services. One day later, the mower was ready to go. Its been a while since I purchased this mower, I dont remember it running this smoothly!

It was a pleasure dealing directly with the owner of this business, Tom Croft. My lawnmower wouldn’t start and it needed servicing for the new season, and I felt very discouraged after several businesses said it would take two weeks to complete the work. I was beginning to feel that it was the standard reply and I wasn’t impressed. When I called Tom, he said he would have it finished by the next day. As it turned out, he finished it the SAME day! The price was very reasonable and it works perfectly. I’m very impressed and he has a customer for life!

I have an older John Deere L111, I found Tom after I was quoted $800 to maybe fix my mower from the Auth dealer. Tom was able to assess my mower and I fixed it for under $250. Hes pretty straight up on what can and cant be done. Ive had the mower in a few times and have been super happy with his expertise on mowers, especially Deeres.

Tom is phenomenal. He has a very quick turnaround and does an amazing job. This is the second time he has fixed my riding mower and I won’t go to anybody else.

Tom did a phenomenal job on our Husqvarna 22hp riding lawn mower. He picked it up in the morning and had it repaired and back the same day. I was extremely pleased with the work (I had tried repairing it myself for over a month). His rate was fantastic. I couldnt be happier and will be having him do all of my spring tune-ups and any future repair for all of my small engine equipment.

I would highly recommend calling Croft Mechanical before any others! I asked around and Croft Mechanical was the fastest, friendliest, and most reasonably priced. They were able to pick up and drop off within one day. After explaining the problems with my riding mower over the phone, Croft Mechanical knew exactly what was wrong with it. I know it is not always the case, but with Croft Mechanical, they quoted a price and it turned out to be exactly that since the over the phone diagnosis was 100% accurate. Had I went with another recommended company, I would have only received a pick up for what I paid for the entire service with Croft Mechanical. I dont want to know what the actual repairs would have cost with the other companies after hearing their pick up fees! It has been well over a couple of months now and after using it weekly cutting about 3/4 of an acre, my mower has been running perfectly!

My lawnmower stopped mid-stream. I brought it to Croft Mechanical and talked with Tom. After he asked when I needed it and saw my reaction, he asked if I could wait for it - hed do it right away. He finished the job he was doing, evaluated mine right away and did the repair on the spot. He checked the oil and adjusted the rpms too. Quick, good work at a reasonable. Cutting my grass tonight!

Call Tom to see what he charge to look at my mower. He told me he charges nothing to diagnose the issue. I was good with that. So I dropped off the mower with him since the battery was dead. He came back with two issue that I knew about and 1 I didn’t. The price quoted for repair was fare. It was dropped off in the morning and he had it back to me by the afternoon. I was happy with the experience and would recommend him to other.

Not at all happy with the service that was done to my lawn mower. It was dropped off for a tune up. Part of a tune up is changing the filter, if not I should have received a call asking me if I would like it replaced. I should have also received a call for any other issue or parts that might need to be replaced. Next, when starting it now sparks are shooting out from under the mower. Was told it was because of all the grass built up under the mower. Well that should of also been taken care of. If it was not included then I should have received a call. By the way it never sparked prior to this...... Very bad service

We were lucky to find this repair shop! They really know what theyre doing. Tom Croft takes pride in his work, treats his customers like family and makes sure that the job is done right - the first time.Unlike some other shops, if the repair is small he doesnt jack it up to make a bigger profit and even better, he can often fix it a small problem right then and there.I wouldnt hesitate to bring any small engine mechanical work to Croft Mechanical. Knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. You cant ask for more.

Replaced the carb on my lawnmower and it finally works the way it should. No issues with honoring my warranty either.

Took our poulan chainsaw in to be fixed. It ran when we took it in but now we pick it up after them having it for 10 days. It wont even start now. The guy said he worked on chainsaws. Ya right
