This is my Go to grocery store. Fresh produce, great deli department and good prices. Staff is courteous, friendly and always helpful if I have trouble finding an item.The remodel is coming along nicely. It is being done with minimal impact on shopping. I love the new look and upgrades. I love my Schnucks!

My first visit. Employees standing in front of meat case talking about issues in the store. Another larger group toward the front of the store discussing issues. Had product to put on shelves but were not doing it. Shelves badly kept and bare in places. I bought nothing because I could not find a ything I came for. I wont waste my time going back.

This store was a pleasant surprise. Not being from here, I didnt expect many options for organic and healthier options. They didnt have as many as some stores but there were enough. Pleasantly surprised.

Wonderful little grocery story. Has a lot of items, even gluten free and organic, however, the selection sizing was a tad small.

Most employees are miserable. Bakery goods r inedible u0026 stale. Limited variety of brands. Sale items never stocked YET appear in abundance THE DAY AFTER sale ends. Schnucks rewards CANNOT B redeemed at self checkout. Proces have risen 33-50% in past month as they remodel the store.

Love this store so much. Only one down side ...cant use rewards points at self chevk out. WHY????

This store seems on the small side to me. Very crowded at times. Grocery selection is okay. Prices are okay. Self-checkout is available. Just seems a little dated -- like it could use a remodel. Parking lot is good with access to a couple different roads.

Great store with great employees. If you shop the sales, use the coupons in the app, and collect rewards you can get some great deals. Its my go to store

Love everything about it except the meat department has a limited selection

Will be going to any other other Schnucks from now on. From the self checkout cashier, then Tara, then a manager named Tina I think. Their attitudes were absolutely horrible and they were incredibly rude. They went out of their way to show they were in charge no matter what. I wasnt the only on the cashier had been rude to just while I was there. The manager literally just walks away and says she isnt engaging in the conversation anymore. Such a shame. Its one thing to want to follow rules but to go out of your way to make sure no solution will work is just shameful.

Love the schnucks in Godfrey... Its an old store that used to be a national Alton does deserve a brand new fancy version of schnucks... But this one will do has that 80s 90s nostalgia feel

One of the things I love about Godfrey Schnucks is the ever-expanding offers for organic food. The store is really good with having a variety of fresh vegetables. We were really impressed with the variety of olives. We have never seen an olive bar such as this one. Its worth, checking it out for yourself. Dont forget to check out the distressed item.

They are always a bit crowded when I go, but they have the best chicken salad ever at the deli. And for the most part they are reasonably priced

JASON in the self check out area was so RUDE. He kept telling me to scan the bar code. I did it in front of him and it wouldnt ring up. He said JUST USE THE HAND HELD SCANNER NEXT TIME! He took the item behind the little counter and was shaking his head while talking to another employee and adding my item to my total. I will be driving the extra two miles to WalMart.....Shame on you JASON :(

Busy as can be expected in holiday season. Self checkout was very organized. Got right through the line.

This store normally have everything that you need. Customer service is lacking. I ask for directions from a floor person, and he act like it was a inconvenience. Go too Bethalto its worth the drive.

I must admit hitting the grocery on the afternoon of New Years Eve was somewhat dicey, especially with really crummy weather predicted for later today and tomorrow, and yeh, it was craaaazy - but Schnucks moved a TON of shoppers through the store with their happiest smiles !! Happy New Year !!

Pitiful is the one word that describes this store. Tried to have an order sent via Instacart, called to ask a quick question and the clerk couldnt be bothered. Going to calm down before I send a letter to the corporate office.Run dont walk from this sorry excuse of a store.

Love the customer service and you can get your stuff and they have cashiers to wait on you.

I love Schnucks. They are a wonderful grocery that provides quality food choices at good prices and excellent staff. The customers satisfaction is first and foremost. I have never had a bad experience at Schnucks. Never!

Great selection and huge liquor Dept

Employees are very friendly and helpful, good selection of products and the produce is always good quality. Meat counter is nice- I love the coffee and black pepper marinated kebabs (chicken or steak).

ALWAYS clean, employees very nice. NO GOOD parking too many reserved parking spots. Floral department is squished into a corner. Overall store is pricey but hey what you gonna do lol. I like that they carry brands you might not find anywhere else but theres a good chance youll leave without a couple of things that you had on your list.

They made it really easy to find everything and it was all in stock!

I go there as a comvience, considering Walmart is a couple miles down the road and schnucks is about half a mile from my house. I do still believe theyre too expensive and way overpriced. Employees are really nice. And they re did the inside so it is now nicer in there as well but they just need to come down on their prices.

I would have given it five stars but Schnucks has replaced the Labrae bread with Companion bread which is not even close to the quality and taste of Labrae Bakery bread.

This store is clean, organized and well stocked. They always have good specials. It is my favorite Schnucks store to shop at and where I shop the most. Most of the people who work there are nice and friendly. One exception in the meat department and one exception in deli. I highly recommend this grocery store.

Great store, good layout, excellent produce. As a direct customer, employees treat you great. But some particular employees of this store treat Instacart shoppers like theyre inconveniencing them when were literally just shopping for customers of Schnucks, and that is the only reason for 4 stars.

Seems like every time I shop there, a lot of their sale items are not available. We went to two different locations and the same thing. Please if you are having a sale on items, get a good supply on hand.

A lot smaller of a store but very well organized and lots of employees working hard on stocking items- Very friendly. Nothing was out that I noticed. Clean. Plenty of open registers. Fresh beautiful flowers. Clean restrooms.

I really love Schnucks - I wish one would come to Jerseyville. Their meat and produce are always really good quality, and they have a few different cheeses that other stores dont carry. The store always appears clean.

Stopped in for some pork steaks. Got 2 really nice packages at a great price. They also had chicken at $.99 a lb.

I used to go in this place all the time. Now the workers and the customers are so rude. Its not very convenient anymore. It was always nice going after 11:00

Schuncks has a large variety of groceries and has a CVS.

Have been shopping at this store since 1972 before it was a Schnucks store. I always find everything I need there. Dennis in the wine department is awesome!! He is THE most helpful and knowledgeable person ever!! I cant tell you how many times he has directed me to just the perfect wine. Not that wine is the only thing I look for, but if you need something special look for Dennis!!

Little spendy, I thought. New to area so not sure of prices. Cashier asked if I was a Rewards Member but never offered for me to sign up. In fact, she acted like I was bothering her by being there. It was early afternoon register 9.

Love my store but was using the digital coupons and they didnt work. The clerk explained what I had to do but it was too late. Missed out on about 6 dollars of coupons.

So because the meat slicers weren’t in a manager at the back refused to help me look for something. I explained three times I don’t need it cut I need help looking and she absolutely refused. I will never take a job at this location again. They don’t want to help you

Always friendly staff and has whatever you need. Their meat selection is always good. Good prices to.

Good store as far as having everything in stock. I’ve run into several miserable workers. They acted like they couldn’t hardly stand it because I needed my ham sliced. Chicken Strips are the best also the Jumbo Chicken Legs.

4.5 stars they always have good stock on most things except Pepsi.... Outstanding deli and meat department. Great bakery too. One of the best Schnucks I have ever been in!

Very friendly and helpful people. Ive used their Pharmacy for about 40yrs. Now CVS has stopped being a preferred pharmacy for United Healthcare Medical Advantage as of Jan 1 and Ive had to change pharmacies. -- BUMMER!

The parking lot is easy to access from either Hwy 67 or Homer Adams Pkwy. Ive run in and out for just one item as well as done my holiday meal prep shopping at this store. The staff has always been helpful and polite. I had one negative interaction with one checker about two years ago, but didnt see the same person on my next trip. She either was let go or quit. Either way, this store doesnt seem to put up with lousy employees.Its always been clean and well stocked. This is my go-to Schnucks for Alton.

Love it actual people to check you out and bag your items cost isnt much more if any than Wal-Mart so I prefer the interpersonal relationships.

Horrible horrible horrible. This is my area store but they have changed so much over the years that my blood pressure goes up every time I’m in the store. The keep discontinuing products we like. Installed self checkout so the could get rid of employees. We we shopping at 8:00 on a Tuesday night and had a cart full. Self check only allows 20 items. There was only on cashier open with at least six customers with full carts. No one working in the office. No one to help the situation at all. Are all stores like this now or is it the management? Time to try other options.

I really love this Schnucks in Godfrey it was just down the street from me when I lived in Alton and I really really loved the people that work there theyre very friendly and kind and they are very helpful I never had a problem with any of the produce and meat or help getting my bags to my car they have nonprofit organizations out front you know for to help the community that surrounds them which I Very Much Ado About a company to take that step but thank you notes and Godfrey this goes out to you from the Greenwell girls

Its fairly well laid out. I prefer self check bc of the line to get to a real cashier. Lines get pretty crazy during peak hours.

My pharmacy visit was great. They were extremely busy, and still got me in and out quickly for a shingles vac. They were very friendly as well....it really is the friendliest store in town!

Wine/beer tastings on Friday evenings. I dont know if this is every Friday or not.One of my favorite grocery shopping spots. They have a great selection of produce, cheeses, and coffee. The deli is good but often very busy.

I ordered several ground Italian sausage which was all wrapped up in a single layer of plastic wrap with the higher priced one showing so I could go to the front and check out by having the checker multiply it by 5 to keep my food safe, but it was taken out to be checked out by the checker who was not wearing gloves!

I am giving this Schnucks 4 stars because the Butcher Dept and the Deli are very staffed with nice knowledgeable people, and that is really what you want from a grocery store. However, the store is in a bad need to an update, it still looks like the 90s, no self checkouts. On a Sunday morning you can wait in a line 10 people deep to check out one item. If you live in the area and you want Boars Head and fresh meat, this is your only option. All of the staff are nice so that counts for a lot. They just need to upgrade more than the parking lot.

I was able find the items I needed and did the self checkout in a very timely manner.

I was in need of dark hot chocolate so I ran up to Schnucks in Godfrey and they had it among other items that were prechased, mostly comfort foods because I was told we are going to be quarantined again, but this is what I have notice, Ive notice that the price of food is getting expensive on almost everything if not everything and not by a free pennies on the dollar, it seems as if big money markets are swooping down on us in our most vulnerable state...

Schnucks has so much Variety.Its my favorite place to gowhen I go picnicking, hiking or simply buying lunch supplies. They carry alot of individual serving containers.And they have an excellent choice of bagels, cookies and goodies.Fresh fruit is available everyday.

Great selection, friendly staff, quality brands, but I love the fresh meat in the full service meat department ... and the weekly sale ads.

I know Christmas is just a few days away so I expected the store to be busy. On top of this it was raining hard. Now tell me this, why the heck would you just stop in front of someone to put your hoodie up? Im behind you getting soaked! The lack of consideration for others really aggravates me

I do not enjoy going to this particular Schnucks. From from my personal experience 98% all the employees avoid eye contact and will not speak to you. Most of the time I will go out of my way to avoid even going into that store.

I rated it a two star because they have food there so yes I go there sometimes. There pharmacy I thought would be better than Walgreens but as it turns out they are slow and confused in there. The employees of the store its self are stuck up and at times flat out rude people. I dred going there if I dont need but a loaf of bread or a bag of sugar. That store is designed sadly to cater to the upper class high society people and if you dont fit that class in their eyes they treat you like trash. Im not the only one to recognize this either.

Customers are refusing to wear masks even though Illinois has a mask mandate. Schnucks refuses to enforce it.

I was shocked. I didnt think it would be this amazing. I have shopped ar this store for years. I would like to know Y you quit carrying Tyson chicken and low fat ice cream. Some of us watch our diets. As of now we still have to go to Walmart to get a lot of our food. You asked, I answered.

I always find what I need and at a reasonable price. The quality of the products vary but are generally higher than the competition. Check out is fast and the help are pleasant. I also find special sales that are hard to beat.
