I ordered my glasses mid August. Usually it only takes about 2 weeks for them to come in. I called and was told they werent there and they would call when they arrived. It has now been at least 30 WORKING days and I have heard nothing. Is there a reason it is taking so long. A call to update me would be nice.

I had my first eye examination from this office and I would like to say it was an awesome visit. I have a few points to mention about it.*They are very accommodating to new customers. The optometrist and the receptionist were pretty straight to the point in explaining things to me. Starting from making an appointment on phone until during my visit, I felt their passion in helping their customers. I also loved the smiles of the staff. Guys, please continue on doing that even during those days when its hard to do it. It creates an impact to your customers.*Parking - I know it is weird that I mentioned this but then I had come across smaller to average establishments that have terrible parking area. This office had pretty good size parking area and I found a spot even during lunch hours.*Price - a coworker had told me that Low country Eye care offices are little bit expensive comparing to other eye care offices in Charleston area, and I would agree with that. However, if you have a good insurance and you are getting a high quality service and glasses and frames, I think it is all worth it.Props to the Low Country Eye Care peeps for helping me improve my vision at night!

ZERO compassion!!! My Rx for contacts is expired by a month. My husband has just been diagnosed w/cancer & I am his only caregiver. That’s why I missed the deadline. They not only refused to extend the deadline (no changes) so I could get some sight for out the 750 miles/wk I’m about to drive him for treatment but didn’t even bother to call me back to let me know they couldn’t do it. My contact lenses provider said this was not unusual to grant in these circumstances. In the middle of a pandemic where we now must be twice as diligent about staying healthy for chemo, radiation & surgery they just want their $ for an office visit. I’m sorry I’d rather put the $200 toward his cancer treatment as he is the only one working (for now) & trust Walmart since that’s the choice they leave me with. Way to go!!! God Bless anyone reading this who has to go through these circumstances. It is not for the faint of heart, it will catch you off guard, and people are nowhere near as heartfelt & caring as they like to claim to be.***IMPORTANT UPDATEDr. Shealy called me from the West Ashley office within an hour of this review & not only extended my Rx for 6 months but is sending me samples to get me through the beginning of my husband’s treatments. We are not ones to ask for help & the swift compassion he showed us may not cure cancer, but it certainly goes a long way in reminding us that some people do care, do pay it forward & anyone who has stood where we are standing will attest, little things like this go a long way & help give strength to fight another day. Very, very special thank you to Dr. Shealy & the entire West Ashley team. Your kindness shall not be forgotten 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Once upon a time, I would have given this office a good review. I’ve even recommended others to this office. Not anymore!!! This is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Mind you, this isn’t the first incident with this office. I purchased a year supply (out of pocket) of contacts for my son. He didn’t use them all, so I asked if they could be exchanged for a credit during our appointment. I was told the contact lens person wasn’t there but they would let me know when I called to purchase two pair of glasses. Did I mention that my children and myself go to this office. I called and asked about the policy with returning contacts and was told they only do an even exchange. That wouldn’t be a problem if I had known that during our appointments. I would have made my son get a contact exam. Now I have boxes of contacts that can’t be used or exchanged. Now let’s talk about me suddenly having to pay $75 for a contact lens fitting. I’ve never had to pay for a contact lens fitting and my insurance is still the same. I have the same exact prescription AND contact lens so I really don’t need a fitting or follow up. As I stated before, I let some things slide in the past but I’m done. They just lost 4 patients. Go elsewhere because they’re not worth it.

I have been in glasses for 38 years and have been to at least 15 different eye care specialists to include the Storm Eye Institute at MUSC. My wife and child go here and let me tell you, this place is the best I’ve ever dealt with. I am sometimes difficult to deal with and they’ve always been patient and super friendly. I have astigmatism in each eye and ordered sunglasses. The sunglasses came in and it was difficult to see with the astigmatism in the curved lenses. They ordered new lenses at no charge. Who does that? I have been here numerous times and every single time, they have gone out of their way to make the experience pleasurable. I’ve read a few reviews that were negative but I’m telling you they are top notch. I hope that if you have a problem with a business, you try to resolve it first before resulting to the internet. Hunter, who works up front has been there for years and if you have an issue, see her.

I made an appointment over 4 weeks in advance forour teen. It was our first appointment with this office. My husband is in the military and currently deployed and I called to make sure I would be able to bring my other two children as I have no one to leave them with and told them that our 4 year old could not wear a mask. I was reassured everything would be fine, I was welcome to bring them all. We arrived at our appointment today 20 min early and called to check-in like the parking signs stated. I was asked if we had masks I said yes, except for my 4 yr old who can not wear one. We waited in the car for 15 more min before Kersten came out and told me that only one other person was allowed in the exam room with my daughter. I would either have to wait in the car and send her into the office alone to a new doctor we’ve never met before and expect her to handle the appointment and prescription and new contact lenses information and insurance on her own or I could go in and leave my two young children in the waiting room but the youngest wasn’t allowed in the facility without a mask on, regardless of the reasoning - which I did explain was a medical issue even though we are protected by law from having to disclose that information, and leaving them in the car alone is not an acceptable solution. I called a month ago to make sure we would be able to be seen at this office in our circumstances and was reassured that we would be welcome with no issues. That was why I picked this office, why I drove 40 min out of our way to go here. We canceled the appt and I left upset and lied to.

My first eye exam went great. Pam and everyone else in the office were amazing. I didn’t have to wait to be seen. The doctor came in right away and I was in and out in no time. They were so helpful when trying to pick frames. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone that mentioned they needed new glasses. As a matter of fact I have already referred someone and she loved you guys too!!

We are a manufacturer and were seeking a local Optometrist to help us with sourcing prescription Safety Glasses for our Production personnel. I met with Danyull and he professionally explained the packages offered, how our insurance factored in and what the cost would be. He also offered great pricing on personal eye wear.I had a pair of Safety glasses made and also new reading glasses. All of the people in the office were professional and communication was excellent.Very happy with this choice.

This location is phenomenal. The office itself is bright and well put together. The equipment all seemed incredibly upgraded and at great quality, but my favorite party of Low Country Eye Care of Goose Creek is the staff! All of the staff and the doctor was professional, kind, and made my experience easy. I will definitely be back.

The staff was quite helpful and kind to my daughter during her first appointment. Do be aware that if you need glasses shipped instead of picked up, its an additional $15. Also set yourself a reminder about a week after your appointment to call and check-in as their system doesnt always send the text message notification about your glasses being ready. My daughters glasses have been ready for three weeks now and I had no idea until I proactively called them back.

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience. My text reminder for my appointment reminded me to arrive at 8:15. I showed up at 8:14. I was then told by the receptionist that the office had called me and left a voicemail to reschedule. I did not have any missed calls or any new voice messages and said this to the receptionist who then said: I know you got a call and a voicemail. I let it go and asked if I could then reschedule, she offered for me to see another provider in the office. I asked her if that meant I would have to be worked in and wait longer, she said no, the doctor will see you as soon as they get here. I was called back by the assistant and taken to exam room at 8:34 and told to wait for the doctor. I sat alone in that exam room until 9:15 and then went to find the assistant who told me that the doctor would be in as soon as they see the patients scheduled before me. The front desk receptionist NEVER informed me my appointment was at a later time than my original. I asked if I owed for anything that was done, was told no and left as I was unable to stay any longer due to my work schedule. Because of the issue with my original appointment, the lack of consideration by the front desk, they have lost a patient/customer. If I could give a zero for todays experience, I would.

Never have I received such terrible service..I went on in March 5th received an eye exam and was sent to order glasses. I chose a pair that had to be ordered and was promised they would be in after 2 weeks which is today! I called last week to double check and they said yes that’s your promised date it’s the same for everyone while being rude at the same time! They had no problem taking my insurance and my money at the time so I called back today the 19th which is the promised date and was told nope next week which puts it at 3 weeks! I will never recommend this office due to the false information and lying! I waited all day for a phone call from the manager never received one due to him calling a number that wasn’t mine! Finally at 3 he called and had excuses that I don’t care to hear! What company takes 3 weeks to receive glasses I paid for so I asked for the owner and Doctor I saw and was told they don’t deal with my issues which is a another lie you wouldn’t have a job if you didn’t work for the Doctor!

My family and I have been patients for many years. Starting back when Dr. Watskey (the father) was practicing. My husband and I started going back to the practice when they were on Red Bank Rd. Fast forward to a month ago. My daughter had to change eye doctors due to our insurance. We have been going to LensCrafters but decided to join my husband at LowCountry Eye care since they moved off of Crowfield it isn’t far from my office or my daughters school very convenient. Well today my husband decided to have all of his doctors appointment. He was late, his appointment was at 1:45 pm but I made it there before him gave our insurance card to the receptionist and started updating his paperwork well at 1:56 when he walked in he was told that the will have to reschedule because he was 10 min late. What I don’t understand is they would of had him sit in the lobby for 5 min. I don’t think we will be returning. I got both me and my daughters prescription we will be seeking a differet ophthalmologist. The service was totally different when Dr. Watsky was there.

After a possible communication problem between the words photochromic(transition lenses) and polarized which is what I thought I bought went wrong. The sales girl and the eye doctor took care of the problem. I did pay an extra $60 for the mistake but I felt that was more than fair on my part. People make mistakes and there are misunderstandings in every walk of life. They did the right thing and I would recommend them to anyone.
