The gentleman in the produce department with the longer hair was so rude to my mother and I. We own a restaurant, and we love the produce there so we often shop there. Today, while we were shopping, the gentleman walked out from the back, proceeded to laugh at us because we had a cart full of produce. He told us that we pretty much werent able to grab from the shelves and that we needed to talk to him about purchasing produce. There is NO limit on how much a customer can buy-he made it seem like we were not allowed a large quantity. I think he just didnt want to restock the shelves, I mean isnt that your job sir?We really didnt appreciate him and his attitude and how he approached us.And let this be known, that this is the SECOND time he has done this to us.
Although the 24 Road store seems poorly run in general, the deli management at this store is ridiculous. At peak times, especially at lunch, there will be only one person behind the counter to take care of customers, and they are usually slicing orders for someone who has dropped off an order and left to shop elsewhere in the store. I dont have a problem with this on large orders, however for a person who only wants one item, this can end up being a lengthy wait. The attitude is terrible, Cant they have someone there to wait on you?
You want to meet the most unhappiest workers in your life go to this City Market!Really sad to see morale that low. What a beautiful store but it brings my vibration down with the sad faces!
We were so fortunate to work with Carolina and have all of our flowers made by her! The Bouquet was absolutely breathtaking and all of the centerpieces were perfect. She was so easy to work with!
Found everything I need. Great store.
Pickup is great at this store unless they dont charge you the right price for an item or didnt use a loaded coupon on your order. Only option is to go into the store, stand at the service desk for a long time behind tobacco purchases, money orders, western union, etc. to get the right price adjusted for an item you used the pickup option for to avoid going into the store...almost worth forgetting about being overcharged in light of the convenience. However, every employee encountered at Pick-up has been great and efficient and seem to go out of their way to make sure you understand all the great things you get from doing Pick-up. Fantastic attitudes that are hard to come by in todays retail world.
Management is always furrowing, No knowledge of customer service. very abrasive and disrespectful. I understand the change shortage in the country, but common courtesy says daily customer asks for change to do laundry offer what change you can to keep the frequent customer satisfied. great selection but this store is super disrespectfulif you dont fit the Financial Demographical standard.
Nice selection. Good hours. Really nice service.
Great shopping for groceries...This particular store has a disappointing deli.....
Some of the sushi could really use a bit more flavor. Maybe like way more flavor on a few of the rolls. The rice is cooked well and it looks nice overall. The 20 dollar platters are a good deal but like two of the sushi types were tasteless.
False advertising in store. They have items in their store marked as being on sale (in very large print). Much smaller print indicates there’s a digital coupon. Then when you get to the cash register and find out it’s a digital deal, they won’t give it to you for that price unless you pull up the digital coupon. Well I have their app, and I have signed up. But while in the store there is no reception and you can’t get the ad! So you don’t get the price unless you leave the store and pull up the digital ad. Just feel like it’s a bait and switch. And no one in the store even cared...
Super friendly staff! Great store - they have everything!
Fast service. Good directions.
They discontinued tuna salad ((
They no longer honor digital coupons if you dont have or forget your phone. It is WE THE CUSTOMERS who voluntarily bring our purses and wallets to spend $$$$ in your stores. All corporate does is make it more complicated and difficult to spend our hard earned $$$. Theyve forgotten who ultimately makes their house payments. We should file a class action suit for discrimination. Why should it be a requirement to have a cell phone to get a sale price...AND also a shopping card. No wonder Walmart is #1 in the country.
Please bring back the burrito bowls.
Online pickup was a big fail. I was not notified of groceries being ready. Showed up anyway during pickup time still waited 15 minutes. They finally get there with the order and there was numerous substitutions I didnt want. 20+minutes later Im still waiting.
Great store!
They discriminate against the homeless and wouldnt hire me—how am I supposed to be a productive member of society and afford to live if I cant have income???
It was very, very crowded. I couldnt walk anywhere in the store and maintain a six-foot distance. Non of the associates acknowledged me, let alone offered any assistance. The croissants and lemon poppy seed muffins were quite tasty, however. Yum yum
MAX in the meat department is rude and grumpy. Management do something about this please.. Absolutely no costumer service. Not sure why. I shop here all the time and he Is rude. It’s his job to be friendly and helpful. Especially when nice customers address you with respect. You should address them with respect back. If your not happy dealing with the public.. why make shoppers have to deal with your nasty attitude? We didn’t do anything to you.. just shopping.. He is mean and unapproachable..
Usually enjoy shopping at this store/location. Had very odd and frustrating encounter with the lady at the seafood counter. I proceeded to select the cut of salmon I always do but was told I couldnt select that cut or this cut. I explained I had always been able to purchases whatever selection was on display under the counter without any issues in the past. She informed me I would need to select from the back tail section and that the scraps were actually very good to eat. A little bewildered I continued to insist that I knew what I wanted and would like to purchase it. She wouldnt allow my to buy what I needed so I selected another cut that she approved of. I informed the on duty manager. Not sure what will come of this. I will shop other locations in the future.Gave it another shot. No customer service. Products not placed out because the lady “can’t get into the freezer” due to pallets in the way. She said she told a manager but nothing. Asked I come back later in the day.
Best produce department in Grand Junction. Big and well stocked. Plenty of self service checkout too. Nice store. Best City Market around.
Gone and ged a farm and ged some cabadge
Good place for groceries and gas. Reasonable prices. Clean bathrooms. Parking is tight though. Dont think youre getting in there with a dually or a camp trailer. Youre parking in Timbuktu.
I love my city market. Its convenient for me as its on my way home from work. I can run in and get just a few things, like tonight. Always super friendly and helpful staff. Great prices and deals.
I love the fresh bread bakery. They have bread baked daily and if you get here early it is hot. My favorite is the sourdough bread.
Another bad experience today shopping with a woman named CINDY. Wow come on I guess there are more staff here with attitudes then I thought. What gives everyone was happy here at one point . I was going through self check out and she completely ignored me and put her finger in my face told me to wait because she was busy. I was the only one in self check out. You could’ve said it nicer. Last straw I’m calling corporate this needs to be addressed .
Good store, has everything but obviously not during this time. Some things are gone but they do their best to keep stocked up
Easy to find what I need. At first the layout was weird, but you get used to it. I love the lunch options and the produce is always great! It has quickly become my go to grocery shopping location. Fuel discounts are nice too!!
City Market at the Mesa Mall has all the familiar Kroger touches. It is big, has good selection and good prices. Efficiently run and a pleasant place to shop.
Not sure what this store is about because I have seen many employees doing three peoples jobs. I was walking through the store the other day and came up behind two mangers talking. Overheard them “bragging” about getting to stand there and gossip as a job! (Later read name tags and their names were James and trey)Then referring to one of the check stand workers as “the weirdo” to be let off on break. I have spoken to employees with this franchise and they do not receive their breaks on time when there are plenty of managers to help out. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. There are plenty of mangers to work the check stands or bag but they seem lazy and refuse. Ridiculous. Someone is running this store terribly.
I am just writing this review for city market 630 24RD grand junction Colorado 81505 I am doing shopping from this city market all the time last two visits horrible experience thinking not to go back again this store most of the employee as well store manager and team leaders are absolutely not helpful and very rude and also writing about all people who works around 10:40pm on 10/21/2017 absolutely they dont care about their work as well business employer either customer will return or not most of the employee using their cellphones during their work I noticed and dont care about customers waited and looking around for employee to get help but no one was around then I found one lady I told her there is no oranges and again she said someone will be there I waited around 10 minutes again no one came down again I went and asked for help she said all employee went for lunch at 10:55pm and city market getting close at 12:00 am and employee doing lunch at 10:55pm I was surprised this big store have few employee and all of them going for lunch at 10:55pm what a joke I would suggest visitors be aware if want self respect try to avoid this store I hope concern person general manager who handled this store brief their managers as well supervisor how to run
The Click Pick thing is a big deception. I tried it once and it worked fairly well. But the second time, City Market ripped me off. It seemed nice at first, the site showed me everything Id bought the first time. I know their computers know what and how much I buy so I thought they were just making it convenient for me. I didnt feel well that day (the reason I was using the online program) so I clicked on my regular items. I was wrong! City Market showed me what I bought before, but it replaced my quantities with their super size quantities. Now I have 4 times the perishables I need and I am out an extra $35.00. Thanks for nothing City Market, this kind of deception only works once. Forget you!
Great place to shop. Plenty of items on sale. Generally good produce. Good deli section. Always have plenty of checkers, so wait time is minimal. However, on Sunday evening, you have to go through self-checkout, so plan wisely if this is something that makes you uncomfortable. There is an attendant on duty to assist.
The store had great selection of fruit and veggies. Isles are wide and not cluttered. Would have given this a 5 star rating...but (always a but) the clerk knew I wasnt from the area and did have there store value card. Looked briefly for one at the check-out. Did find one and said I guess you pay full price. With the amount I bought you would have thought he might have tried to save me some extra cash. But nope. Probably would have made a $20.00 difference.
I love that they opened a city market at this location. Extremely convenient for the west side of town. Amazing cheese bar, olive bar and a ton of selections in the deli. Have almost every thing I need. The donuts are nice and fresh every morning and the staff is very helpful.
Great store but your employee Zayden I believe her name is was very rude, had a real attitude problem and made me feel very unwelcome. Almost forgot to give me my change I might add.
My tortoise likes the lettuce there
Dont go in. Too many people without masks on
Being a huge fan of grocery stores because I am not completly self sustainable. I enjoy being able to find quality fruit, vegtables. Adequate parking at this location, staff is usually friendly and they offer cards and a floral department. Keeping up on the trends they are roughing their way into pickup and meeting you outside with deliveries a huge accomodation for the elderly and handicap. Thanks City Market.
Great staff and variety. The BEST cheese selection in the valley!! Deli has lots of variety and freshly made selections.
Great store. Wonderful staff, clean facility, good prices. Very crowded, though.
Good location. I love that I can easily get off I-70 get gas and pop back up, avoiding going through town. The store and restrooms are always clean. Its a good City Market.
Great looking store and good selection. Super disappointed in the deli. The spices were great but the lettuce, Brussels sprouts and potato salad was rock hard. Cook that some more please...
Well run store. Well stocked, but it is a local store and not one of the big City Markets. The staff helps to make sure that checking out goes smoothly and quickly. Friendly and caring staff throughout the store.
I always find friendly staff, and a clean facility.I dont go to another store unless forced to.I do wish they had a better selection of products, where Im not forced into buying Kroger Brand.
I have seen three different employees at this store wearing their masks around their necks. Perhaps youd like to change the name to Covid Market?
When we went to checkout there was only 2 check stands open and way backed up, no baggers helping. The poor cashiers wre working their hardest. But there were 4 employees chatting, laughing and joking at the service center not doing anything to help. It wasnt until the lines were almost down when one of the employees who was standing around came and opened a check stand but by that time everyone had there carts unpacked. Very poorly run and managed.
Beautiful store and helpful staff! A lady working in the deli made us a great sandwich and went above and beyond to make it perfectly.
Exceptional customer service. Had a problem with my savings card and the manager woman on duty made sure that my fuel points were put on my card. The Fruita Colorado store in plum St. Always had fresh looking produce. The deli and meat counters are clean and neat and in full supply. The bakery is always full of Cakes for all occasions. Customers are treated kindly in all departments. The only issue is a relatively small parking lot. On one occasion the store manager even ordered in my favorite, oui yogurt for me. Thanks for being so friendly and caring all the time.
We stopped to get punch for the elementary school Halloween party. We hadnt eaten lunch yet so we decided to grab something from the deli. The fried chicken was gone, more was cooking but we didnt have time to wait. So we got the baby some chicken strips and fries, it came with 2 sides but there was literally 6 fries in the box. She couldnt even eat the chicken strips, they were too spicy. They werent labeled spicy. I decided to get soup, I looked for crackers and there werent any. The clerk said they didnt have them anymore... if I would have known that I would not have gotten soup. So needless to say we didnt eat lunch.
Really good place to get food (any kind), drinks, flowers, even giant cheese wheels. This specific City Market has Starbucks and Snowfox Sushi. Great store, 10/10.
Yesterday I went shopping for my employer. I had to buy groceries for 6 ranch hands. After filling 3 grocery carts full and a bill of over $650 I had the best customer service experience. Christina opened up a check out lane for me and Becky helped bag and take all my groceries to my vehicle. I worked in retail sales for over 20 years and the service I received by these two deserves acknowledgement. Thank you!
Convenient for food and gas. Lots of organic and gluten free foods available. Very fresh produce and often has locally grown produce.
Tonight I had my hands full with my grandson and my mom who was wheel chair bound. Trying to hurry to get both of them in my car along with our groceries due to the cold weather. Kathleen (kat) came to our help by loading my groceries and then waiting patiently for me to get my mom in the car. She was very pleasant and very helpful! She even returned the wheel chair for me and wish each of us a merry Christmas!!! She made my evening, there is angels among us!!!
Nice store! The employees make this store awesome! Wish they had a salad bar and bulk foods. Cheese section is great.
I used to shop here a lot, but the prices seem to be higher lately. The meat prices are definitely higher than other stores and while I receive coupons in the mail for items I buy on a regular basis, the rest of the product prices dont warrant me shopping here. The gas station is always busy and almost always has a wait for a pump. Also, trying to upload digital coupons via the City Market app while in the store is pretty much impossible. The parking lot is not easy to get in and out of and it doesnt seem to matter when I go, its always busy. I believe that corporate is trying to make actual store shopping unpleasant so people place their orders online and either do home delivery or curbside pickup instead of coming into the store. I doubt I will shop here much in the future. There are other stores with better prices and a more pleasant shopping experience.
Very good selection. Get there after 8pm and all deli prices cut in half. Super nice deli people
I liked it when I could go into a store and find time to just shop without feeling rushed this store is so busy I always feel like I have to keep moving
The cashiers and GM are not friendly at all. Most departments are good. But the meat department never has fresh hamburger. Its always old and about ready to expire.
Normally I love this store and prices. Thats why they get 2 stars instead of zero. I ordered 2 cakes from their bakery book for both my boys birthday. 1 week in advance. Nothing crazy, nothing fancy. They are awful. Colors are nothing like the pictures. The image isnt even centered and is super crooked so they couldnt put a border all the way around the cake or they would cover the name. Its pretty shameful. I would be embarrassed if I made those let alone charge full price for them.
This review is about Carolina in the floral department at the City Market on 24 Rd in Grand Junction Colorado. I met Carolina a few weeks back when I needed to fill up some balloons for my 5 year olds birthday party. Her friendly demeanor and bubbly personality made my interaction worth at least 6 stars. Since then every time I go to City Market I always make sure that I run into her because regardless of the day, she is always smiling! Since I met her 3 weeks ago I have had her create me 3 different floral arrangements and I am overly excited about each one. The personal touch that she puts into each arrangement is just amazing. As a small business owner, I understand the importance of great customer service. I can tell you that now I have learned how impactful a simple smile can change someones entire day. Thank you Carolina! You are awesome!
Nice store. Decent prices. Easy to navigate. Good selection.
Overall experience was okay but just got home and realized the bagger didnt get 2 items in my cart. I played for them as they are on my receipt but now its not worth the gas to go get them.
Great store. Bakery, produce and seafood always good and priced right. Wish more name brand products..much better than safeway..
Clean store. Well stocked when I have been in there. Staff is nice and professional.
The people who shop here are so dense. Impossible to move around because the employees will cut you off with their carts. I get it you got a job to do butni got things to get. Left my shopping cart where it was threw up my hands and left. Such a mess.
Store employees were very pleasant and helpful. This store was very nice. This store is like the 12th street location, it has a huge cheese selection ❤. It has a City Market gas station out front like the one in Clifton has.
Good store with cheese counter, good produce selection of Colorado and organic. Roomy and clean, friendly.
Always a pleasure! Needed a Gift Card this trip ... the check out lady pointed the way and kept working my order. I zipped back with the card and we kept her line moving wothout missin a beat! Thanks everyone!
Family oriented. Great prices with awesome coupons! And an app to help you with everything!
Same as usual. Have everything you need and more. Clean, friendly, good quality. But always costs too much $.
I always shop at this City Market as it is close to my house. I like so much better than the Fruita City Market. The produce is always good quality and the shelves are always stocked. Employees are friendly too!
City Market is my favorite place to grocery shop in the Grand Valley. All of the stores are kept clean. Fresh foods are fresh, deli and bakers are baking fresh everyday. Price wise they are right in there with Walmart on a lot of items. Some prices are lower and some higher than Wally World. I can guarantee their quality is much higher. They have built a super store at 29 Road and Pattarson Road yet it all remains good. My two small complaints are the Pharmacy has the atmosphere of over worked employees therefore the customer service could definitely use a course on the defìnition of customer service. Secondly, is the checkers, not about what they do but, about how they are treated by management in front of customers, it is degrading. I still ļove them even with these minorities faults. Happy Shopping!
The 2nd newest City Market store in Grand Junction area. When it first opened you could barely find an empty space in the parking lot but now, even though parking is still a little crowded, the store is much more accessible. I love shopping at these stores because:1. they are brand new2. they have the best prices in Grand Junction, and3. I think they have the friendliest employees of any grocery store in GJ.
Love it.... Im there so often I feel like I should have my own parking spot !
Great break for weary travelers. Fresh produce, good bread, deli, and much healthier choices than every restaurant... Plus fuel, gasoline, diesel.
Nicest store in town (even better than the newest one). Helpful checkers.
Freshness always and l like it. Loved it.
I like that this CM has everything I need but even before the 1st & Rood closure, it has always been frustrating and a bit scary to park and get in and out of the store. And most times that Im there, I feel like Im going to get run over by carts or bodies IN the store.
One of the better stores in town. Produce sometimes could look/be fresher, staff is friendly most of the time.
Cashier made me go to customer service to redeem coupons Id received in mail. What upsets me is that I gave them to her before she started ringing up up. Not even an I am sorry. Thats customer service?Swearing to never go back I went in Fri. asked produce lady where Olathe sweet corn was, her reply rude saying No we dont have anyCity Market you no longer have my business, shame on you.
Always clean, items in stock, specialty cheese area, deli, bakery, fresh sushi. Location has a gas station. Good access to I70 thru 24 Road
This store is spacious has a lot of gluten free items, They seem to always have great prices In the store is always clean.
Alex at the customer service was extremely rude and overcharged me.
I love City Market and how I can accumulate points towards gas too when shopping! I recently moved from Florida where I had Publix and I was afraid I wouldnt find a replacement. I was wrong. City market and its employees have exceeded my expectations! Thank You!!
Nice helpful employee..Beautiful store...clean
Great products, great sales and friendly, helpful employees. I love all of the local products they have.
I forgot my meds when I came into town for an emergency. The pharmacy got me my meds quickly. Large store with great options.
The lady at the flower counter was very nice, and made me a nice corsage!
Great place to shop! Not nearly as friendly was Orchard Mesa City Market, but pretty close. Lots of organic and natural products available here.
This is a great and clean store. They have a nice variety of food.
Its just a store however, the really impressive thing is that Hillari, the floral manager, was bagging groceries during an influx of customers.
The store is nice inside and they are carrying more organic/natural products to compete with Sprouts & Whole Foods. Prices are higher than Walmart and some of their produce isnt as fresh as it should be.
Wonderful place to shop. Sushi is always delicious and fresh, produce selection is wide and glorious.
As far as grocery stores go. This one is my favorite. The location is a bit far away to be worth the trip though usually.
Steve, the head manager, was very friendly and great help. The store is beautiful and have a great selection!
