If I could give more stars I would! The food and the customer service is great. Very friendly and delicious, so much so that during our stays to the great wolf lodge we have set in stone that we are going. Might I suggest the hearty breakfast with their perfectly crispy bacon and ham paired with probably one of the best waffles I have ever had! (Wife and son love their hash browns as well. Every single person in our large party including the kiddos all loved their food! Definitely an amazing gem here. Been coming for about 3 years now with our trips (we are out of towners) and i love how consistent it stays. Will keep coming back for sure.

So I wanted to try something new that Ive never had before and I found this place on Google. The food *chefs kiss* so good. I had strawberries with my waffle and they were fresh and not soggy. So good. Bacon cook perfectly. The coffee ehh so so. (But im.picky about coffee)the lady who helped me Im sorry I dont know her name she has red in her hair. So nice and helpful. the only reason I didnt make it 5 stars was it was kinda dirty. You can tell its a very old building and not taken care of too well. The vents were extremely dirty. Just not eye appealing inside.
Great food! Great price! And great staff! The waffles really are yummy here. I highly recommend if you are looking for a solid breakfast. If you are really hungry they do have all you can eat pancakes at a great price. We brought our 4 kids here and everyone left happy.
If you like food with great flavor and excellent customer service, this is your place. It is a little hole in the wall that does not get enough recognition for how DELICIOUS the food is! My hubby ordered the chicken and Belgian waffles and the kids had the silver dollar pancakes kids meal. The chicken was crispy yet moist. The waffles and pancakes were fluffy and had great flavor. Even the Turkey bacon was yummy! John was our server and he was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Food was served hot. No delay. Kitchen staff was awesome! If youre ever in the Grapevine area, you have to check out Waffle Way. They are only open for breakfast and lunch.
This place has a comfortable feel, where they greet you like family. I am a chocoholic and they make a fluffy chocolate belgian waffle that is served with whipped cream, fresh strawberries and a chocolate sauce. Definitely craveable. For those that are undecided, you can also order a half blonde and half chocolate belgian waffle. Delicious. My breakfast also came with eggs and delicious bacon, all at a reasonable price. Give them a try.
I found this place wanting waffles. And let me tell you, absolutely amazing down home southern hospitality coming in here! Staff was amazing, food was great. Definitely recommend stopping here if your going thru this part of Texas! I felt like my own mama was taking my order!
The service and food was great it is family owned and the owner was out on the floor serving food and talking to patrons. Our waiter and another employee helped me and my dad as we were coming in without hesitation and that meant a lot. Be sure to check them out when you’re in town.
Absolutely one of the best breakfast places in Grapevine. I cannot wait to go again. They are not open for supper. The Pecan Waffle had pecans sprinkled on it, not in the batter.Ok, I have returned, twice. Burgers are juicy, fries are fresh cut and hot. Chicken fried steak is real. Not some hamburger patty. Cream gravy is nice and thick and rich. Hash browns are homemade.Changing 4 star to 5 star.
They now serve sloppy joes!!! Yum! Havent had one in ages. And 1 side - fried squash dipped in ranch dressing. They are open til 2p. Food here is always good. They been open in Grapevine for many many years.
To be fully honest, this is probably the best Waffle shop in the whole of Sharqiyah. I don’t really have a good experience with waffle shops or chocolate related restaurants; since I always end up having diarrhea and/or throwing up. BUT this restaurant is amazing. The waffles are extraordinarily delicious😮10/10!!

Well, after looking at reviews of brunch locations in Grapevine, I decided to try out Waffle Way. I figured I could enjoy a good long brunch and meet up with a few friends from the area while there. When I walked in, I was met by a waitress, a boisterous and upbeat woman who just tried to make you feel at home. I explained what I wanted and exactly how I like things, as Im a hard to please eater. She heard, wrote down and understood everything I stated. I felt good about this.Went to work on the laptop I brought along till my food arrived. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak n Eggs with hash browns and a half waffle. I wanted my eggs whites cooked, yokes runny so I can mix them up in my Crispy has browns. I also had to choose from the frozen piece of meat or the hand breaded Of course, I said hand breaded hands down. I hate frozen meat. What I forgot to mention, nor did I hear was that the steak wasnt beaten or pounded to break up the bristle and tendons.The egg yokes were half cooked, cutting down on my mixer with my hash browns, which were cooked crispy, but sitting in a puddle of grease, kinda defeated the crispy part. The chicken fried steak was a healthy piece of meat, and was hand breaded, but it wasnt beaten, or flattened, as most pieces of meat are before breading. Me, with my one arm, have gotten used to cutting and eating meat with my fork, as most meat, cooked properly, should be easy to cut. I could not cut this piece of meat no matter where I tried. It was a 3/4 of an inch thick, but had not been pounded as I have grown up watching family and restaurants do all my life. by the time I got done trying to cut it, all the breading was off of it and it looked like a piece of meat I would never choose to eat. The half waffle, I was told was a lighter than normal Belgian waffle, but it was not fully cooked inside, the middle was soft, gooey insides that needed another minute in the grill.The waitress came over and asked about my meal. Im not a shy one and told her my thoughts. I said I couldnt eat the meat, but I will finish the eggs and hash browns. She left and came back with the owner, who apologized for my meal. The waitress was telling me ideas on how she likes to order her eggs and we bantered for a bit. They apologized, I apologized. The owner then said the meal was comped. I argued and said I was eating the eggs and hash and was willing to pay for the meal, but she wouldnt hear of it. I said thanks. I went to finishing up a video I was creating on my laptop and was still hungry so I ordered a piece of pecan pie with ice cream. Now that was delicious! I cleaned the plate, I was hungry! as I left, I thanked the ladies and said I would come back and try something else. I paid for my pie and left a good tip for the waitress.Now I do plan to go back in a month or two, when the weather gets better and I can take my Trike. I plan to give their menu another chance, tho I wont go for my favorite. They have too many good reviews so I want to be fair. Im a fussy eater, always have been. It is hard for me to eat out regularly as I am mostly disappointed.This is a neutral rating as I will go back and try again. The have good reviews and a local gathering, I dont want to hurt that.
There was no wait, the food was good but no worker in this establishment had on a mask, except for one very pleasant young man. There is no sign up that requires mask, which we did not notice until after we left and that made us feel very uneasy, which is also probably why we found a gray hair in my grits. The server was nice about it and offered a discount. I think they should focus more on safety and cleanliness.

The waffle is way good! I always order two eggs over medium, hash brown, bacon, wheat toast with extra butter, a diet coke, pecan waffle. My old lady gets pretty much the same. Shes really fat. So she really likes to eat a whole lot of food! Shes warm in winter, shady in summer.
I immediately felt the place had a cosy unpretentious diner atmosphere. The front service were polite and effortlessly kept the bottomless coffee flowing. I would definitely be one of the regulars there enjoying good comfort food if it was in my neighborhood.

After soccer game in Grapevine decided we would give this a try. One thing that bothered me was it is seat yourself. When your full and people waiting prefer someone assisting instead of feeling like its a free for all. The service to get our drinks was pretty quick and food order is fast. The place is kind if small seats maybe 75-80 people. The staff are super sweet and this is one of those places that brings in allot of regulars. It was pretty cool watching staff talk to several folks getting latest scoop on family or just checking on them to make sure all ok. My daughter had grilled cheese BLTminus T with chips needless to say GONE! Wife ordered the chicken & waffles while she was not real impressed with chicken (breast was dry) waffle light & fluffy which was nice. I ordered the club sandwich it was piled high with roasted turkey, ham and multiple slices less i say mound of applewood bacon cooked perfectly and topped with lettuce & fresh slice of tomato with side of onion rings cant go wrong. We will stop in again when in Grapevine.

Out of habit I generally read all the reviews that fall in the 1 & 2 star level. Anything can go wrong in any business. That said, our experience at Waffle Way has always been excellent. We drive 20 miles to get here, and it has been worth it every time. The service has been fast and friendly. The food hot and tasty. This is a restaurant that deserves credit for taking care of their customers to ensure their return. On my last visit, I paused at the register to tell the man that we were impressed again. I let him know we are not from a Grapevine and the effort to get a fair meal, courteously was rewarded by our choice of Waffle Way. They get an A+ for service, and an A+ for food. They need and want your patronage. Delicious!

We came on a Saturday morning at around 8:45am. The service was spotty. While the wait staff was friendly, they were unorganized and unstructured. The kitchen was very slow to get orders out. All of us thought our food was average, and wasnt anything better than what you would find at an IHOP or Waffle House. While it wasnt a terrible experience, we would not go back.

Local dive, waffle was good the bowl of grits was a small saucer. Crispy bacon was crispy but very thin. Eggs good but $2 for a cup of coffee? Never offered refills. So $14 w $2 tip.. not sure Id come back.Building needs update and menus were dirty.

This was my second time going to Waffle Way and it was mush better than the first time. The first time that I went was back in November and the waitress was rude and come to find out she was one of the owners. One of the ladies that was in our group had to ask for menus and when she finally returned with them she just plotted them down on the corner of the table and walked off. We meet there are 9:30 it didnt get out out until after 12:00 just because of the service. But I can say that this time around was much better and she was nicer. It taken me 6 months to go back there but not for sure how long before I will return there again.

Ok where do I start? Place was hot as heck. Food took over hour before we left, without eating. The waitress said they only 5 waffle makers. At the Waffle Way? You have waffle in your name, they should be flinging waffles at you. I think I lost 6 lbs in water weight. On a positive note you could freeze meat in the bathroom. Since it was packed I bet the waffles were good or the people were to weak to walk out.

Havent been in a few years, but took my friend there this morning. Not nearly as good as it used to be. Waited for a table, as they were full when we got there. It took a good 10 minutes before anyone took our coffee/water order. Another 10 before we got it, and another 10 or 15 before they took our order.Very simple, 2 egg scrambled, bacon, & waffle. She ordered Biscuits & gravy with bacon. 35 minutes later...iced cold food.Wont be back.

This place sort of masquerades as an independent, mom-and-pop shop with homemade flair and flavor and its not.Its not great if you are looking for fresh options and for that I say the price point is a little high.We had two items from the fryer; the chicken fried steak and the chicken and waffles. They both had a very overused fryer grease taste to them.The rest of our food was decent enough to pass as food, but there are just a lot of premade and instant items.Theres not a lot of made from scratch options and theres definitely not the care and love of food that comes along with it.
Love this restaurant! A great home away from home eatery. My family enjoys coming here for breakfast. I ALWAYS get a waffle (or 2-3) when I visit.Waffle Way has been a favorite of mine for almost 20 years. Even with ownership change. The family who currently owns it was working for the previous owners. All great people who appreciate doing things old school and keeping it real :)We notice that during the summer months its a good mix of locals (who frequent here with friends/family throughout he week) and out of towners who are staying at nearby Great Wolf Lodge, The Gaylord, etc. (weekends). Most dont expect the small town feel of this place - everyone is treated like family!Great food at Waffle Way! Its always worth the wait.
