The reason I went to the shop is to check the front end for alignment and that I have a little shake that is there and nobody can find what it is . So I wait from 9 till 1:30 to get back my car and all I got was the alignment. They said everything else is tide . But then I still have the noice and I did not get what I expected. I really like not to have the noice and if it still exists-do I really need alignment that is the question? I don’t feel I get what I need and I felt like I just waist my day and my money . I work with my car . So even that they let me have a car to just use it does not help me . Hope this explains my experience and why it is 1star review.

Ive always been treated well here. They are fast and professional. I drive an old car so I’m in need of a good folks like this.

I dropped my car off at 7AM called them at 8AM asked when they got my car in to call with an estimate on work to be done. Time went on didnt hear nothing so at 3Pm I called them asking about my car. He said oh yeah we got it in late morning let me put you on hold as I figure out your estimate. They close at 5PM so chances of getting my car back before closing...slim to none. Gave the estimate I said go ahead with repairs. Called at 4:30PM not going to get it done today and power steering hose was going to be more than the 50 he quoted me. Next day I picked up my car hose was 150 more than estimate I said ok but would have to wait till the following week to get it in. I said ok. Upon getting in my car my low fluid level alarm came in on my anti freeze. They had just replaced a temp sensor on radiator. I stopped back at the shop Aaron topped off this fluid. He said sometimes there is an air bubble in the line when they work on this. If he knows this why wasnt thus rechecked then? Looking at the oil sticker on my window it said next service was due in 3000 miles I requested synthetic oil this usually is good for 6000 miles. Did they put synthetic oil in?? He said yes. When arriving home I checked my high beam head light cause this was out and I requested them to fix it. Well my head light was still out.. not happy. Called Aaron told him about all my issues he said he would take care of me next week when I brought my car in. The following week I brought my car headlight needed an additional part but fixed my power steering hose. The power steering fluid was 31 more than his second estimate I didnt find this put till I was paying the bill... nice! I guess this was Aarons way of taking care of me! He asked me if I wanted an estimate on headlight part I just said no thanks I dont think I am coming back. I was a loyal customer for over 5 years if this is the way they take care of the regular customers I sure wouldnt want to be a stranger dropping my car off there. Wouldnt recommend them to anyone.Arron you need to get your facts straight. When I called at 3Pm he plainly forgot about my car. He had nothing figured out and purely guessed how much the hose would be. Also nothing was said about the anti freeze to me so that purely is a lie. You plainly forgot to rechecked it.. I paid you for fixing my wipers on the lights its clearly noted in the bill so dont think you did me any favors with a bill over 740 dollars.

Downtown Auto Service has won me over for all of my vehicles maintenance! I have had a positive experience every time they worked on my vehicles, from oil changes to a head gasket replacement. I know my vehicles are running as they should, for a fair price. I recommend this business for all of your car repair and maintenance needs.

Best auto shop in town. I have been bringing work and personal cars there for almost 20 years. Fair prices and I dont feel like they are trying to work me for additional fixes. Several times they have found the actual issue that was cheaper than what I brought the car in for.

Just moved to Green Bay August of 2019. Had a flat and they came and fixed my tire right when I called. Then had problems with my brakes called and they did an awesome job on my car at a great price. Very nice people. I will bring my car to them when I need anything done. Thanks so much for being awesome

While its always a little stressful when a vehicle needs work or unexpected repairs, its very helpful knowing I can take it a place I can trust. Ive been going to them for years, and they have gone above and beyond more times than I can write in this review. They give honest advice, offer multiple solutions whenever possible, and explain if a repair is critical or whether it could wait a while. I couldnt recommend them more highly.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Brought my truck in for an oil change and possible repair of drain plug. They called me as requested BEFORE doing any repair work. PLUS, they vacuumed my truck and filled the tires that were low on air!! Im only upset that I didnt start going to Downtown Auto a long time ago!

I ended up with a flat tire outside of the courthouse today. I knew they were close, so I gave them a call right away. My car was in the garage, brand new tire put on, all in the span of 40 minutes. Fantastic work, and I will definitely come back here !

I bought an older Ford F150 truck from an estate. I knew the truck had not been driven in several years. While driving home from 25 miles away, the truck overheated several times. I tried running the heater but no heat was coming from the heater core. So I figured that the thermostat must be stuck. I replaced the thermostat and all seemed to have been good for several short trips until the truck overheated again. So I decided to have the radiator and coolant system flushed. I looked on line and found several shops that could do it. I choose Downtown Auto because of the reviews and thought I would give it a try. I told Dave Shaw who was the owner that before I made the appointment, I would have to make arrangements to get a ride home, since I lived near Denmark. He asked where I lived and said he had to go to Norbs Salvage Yard in Denmark and that he would have time to do the job today. He said if I could have the vehicle there within the next hour he could give me a ride home since it wasnt that far from Norbs. So I agreed. When I arrived I told Dave about my truck and how it was behaving. He said before he would spent the money on a system flush he would check the flow threw the radiator. It turned out the radiator was pretty plugged up and that I would need a new one . I gave him the go ahead and when I returned to pick the truck up, one of the technicians asked if I wanted to see the inside of the radiator. I did and the bottom 4 to 5 inches were plugged solid with a lot of scale and corrosion, and every other flow path was plugged as well. Needless to say they didnt just do what I asked but looked further into the symptoms to find out what the real problem was and then fixed it. I would highly recommend having these guys work on your vehicle. Not only are they friendly, honest, and thorough, but reasonably priced.
