My mom used Jenkins Auto Repair for several years. She really liked Phil, the owner, and was confident in the work they did.Personally I only had a couple interactions with them when I would take her car in for her.If I wasnt so far away I would continue to take moms car to them even though its my car now. I really appreciated being able to pick up several years worth of maintenance and repair records so we know for sure what all was done to keep my good little car on the road.If you are looking for a shop my Momma would totally suggest Jenkins.... from heaven even.
Phil went above and beyond to help with my Hyundai Sonata. After having the engine give out on me during the middle of a road trip we had no idea who could help us in Greenfield. We got a recommendation from a local tow company and Phil met with us that night (a Sunday) to talk options. He was great about staying in touch with me and offered good advice the whole time.
All of the staff and repair professionals were extremely friendly and helpful in helping to determine issues with my car and getting it fixed up quickly. This welcoming and friendly attitude is a stark contrast to some auto repair places I’ve visited in the past and I will absolutely return to Jenkins when and if I need car repairs done in the future.
Ive been using Jenkins for a few years now, never had a problem. I love and trust them very much. Our cars are important, and its important that everything is working properly, I need to feel safe when driving my kids around. And I know all work done by Jenkins is certified, trusted, done the right way, and is guaranteed with lifetime warranty on parts. ( If I read that right).. I used to bring my older vehicle here, and the price was very reasonable. Now I have a newer one and the ticket was a little bit higher this time, but was to be expected for the vehicle I had serviced.. they make me feel like everyone there actually cares about you and not just your money.. like tons of other shops Ive been to, seems all they care about is the 💰 my baby girl is running like the day I bought her ☺️☺️
My Daughter has always had good things to say about Jenkins, So when I had trouble with a used car I had recently bought, I thought id give them a try. Im glad I did, they did a repair on the exhaust. Everyone I spoke to was very nice & made sure that I understood what was going on. They got to my car in a timely matter & did the repair, I couldnt be happier with their work. I plan on taking it back soon to have my brakes looked at.
I sent my car here because I trusted them, but after two weeks nothing had been accomplished. I decided to have it sent to Dellen, who is able to fix it for $1300, and Jenkins still charged me $1700 for making the situation worse. I will never go here again, and I would advise you to stay away. Bad business.
Dont know they never called me back with estimate
I took my vehicle in for a scheduled oil change. I was contacted and informed I needed a “center tie rod” changed and the repair would cost $1200. We chose to not have the issue fixed by Jenkins and took the vehicle to a Toyota dealer two days later for a second opinion. I informed the Toyota certified mechanic what the diagnosis from Jenkins was prior to them looking at the vehicle. The dealer took the vehicle for a test drive and did a 62 point inspection. They found NO PROBLEMS with my vehicle. The dealer did suggest getting tires before the winter. If you are told you need a large repair from Jenkins I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting a second opinion. Super disappointed, we will not be back. Not even to use the last of our “car care club” complimentary oil changes that I paid $100 to join.
One of the best repair shops I’ve been to!! The customer service is amazing even sent a video of a problem under my truck. The price was fair and the explanation of services needed was easy to understand. I highly recommend this service shop to anyone!
I had a intermittent problem on 2011 Ford F-150. Sometimes the P light would not come on and it then would not start. Got a P0707 code from my OBDII code reader. That is a lower than expected signal from the Transmission position sensor. I used to get this problem about once per week. When it happened twice the same morning on my way to work and left me stranded at I-70 and State Rd. 9, I called around asking if they could get to it that day. Jenkins was the first one to say yes, they could look at it that day and get back to me. This is owned by the company I work for. I had no way to go to work. They did not get to it that day, or the next or the next. It was towed there Monday at 11 AM. On Thursday at 11 AM it still was not looked at. I used my daughters car and drove over. They told me they would look at it right after they did the Oil changes? REALLY??? It is still there as I write this. Will never go there again.UPDATE: 3/5/2020: I received a call to authorize 1 hour of troubleshooting on 3/4/2020. This morning, 3/5, they called to inform me they think they have it fixed. They found a missing starter mounting bolt which also mounts a ground cable to the engine. They replaced the bolt and the ground cable and found the truck would start reliably every time. They did a test drive and I got my truck back. I was charged an hour of labor plus the towing fee. I gave two stars because they found a relatively cheap-to-fix likely problem, but the customer service by telling me they could look at it the same day I first called them and then putting me off for 3 days with only two calls is not good.
Low or out of stock on everything.
Always go the extra step. They do the work approved and check out the other things maybe I did not think about. No pressure of additional charges or services but let you know what is or could need attention.
I came in for what I **thought** was the problem with my elderly mothers elderly car...they could have charged $$$$ for a repair. Instead, they found a simple, inexpensive problem, and fixed it promptly. Very kind and honest gentlemen in this shop!I brought my own car in recently, and not only was the work done quickly, at good prices, but I received courteous treatment and excellent communication at Jenkins Auto Repair. They stand by their work, guaranteed. You can be confident in taking your business here!
We developed brake problems along Interstate 70. We have a Dodge Ram so googled closest Chrysler dealership. Went there - no help. Went to Jenkins who looked at problem, sourced part, repaired, test drove vehicle and we were back on the road in under 2 hours. Owner and mechanic were awesome. Owner actually went and picked up the required part. When we arrived the receptionist called Enterprise to determine availability of a rental car in the event we had to wait on parts. Also observed other customers during our wait and saw that Jenkins was all about helping the customer and providing good service. Thank you Jenkins. Wish there were more places like yours.
Their card says $39 dollars for a tow in county...no surprises. Well SURPRISE the tow cost $91 dollars to go a mile and a half, if that. Ill never be going here again.
Dont make the mistake of going anywhere but here..Honest and skilled Best in the area!
Hospitality at its finest! Ive been taking my vehicles to Jenkins for many years. Today, I stopped in to have my oil topped off and on my way I spilled a milkshake all over my driver side floor board. Not only did he top my oil off quicker than I couldve purchased it and filled it myself, I got back in my car to find that they completely sprayed off my mats and wiped up the milkshake from the carpets. Its the over and above jesters like these that set businesses apart from each other. Thank you, Phil.
My dad will never again take his car there they had it for 3 weeks. He wasnt happy and it was expensive..
Would give less than 1 star of I could. Terrible customer service, bad hours, overpriced. There are many other choices, definitely go somewhere else.
Friendly, courteous, professional staff. Kept me posted along every step of my cars repair. Informed me of estimated costs before each procedure. A very reasonable cost for the work that was needed. Making Phil and his friendly staff my choice for any future unexpected repairs or regular maintenance work.
Fast work. Price seems high! However I’m not a mechanic or had the time to shop around. The girl in the front office is awesome! VeryHelpful!
Great place to have service on your vehicle. Great service time and great people to work with. Will go back for all future issues.
The staff were polite and professional. They didnt give me answers that I wanted to hear; they gave me information about my car that I needed to know in order to make a decision on what to have repaired first. Their honesty was refreshing.
Very professional and quick service. They were up front and honest with me about my car. This is very rare thing these days so it was very refreshing to see. Ill be going back here again.
Went in for an oil change and to fix cabin filter. Blower wasnt moving any air. Squirrels had gotten in and clogged everything up. They cleaned all the garbage out and replace the filter and all is good..
Short to the point, Beware
I called bout replacing a water pump late in the morning as I had a long work trip the next day. And though they made no promises, they ask me to bring it in asap and theyd try their best. Part ordered, repaired and back to me by 5:00 same day. Friendly staff and will definitely be going back for further service.
Holy **** these guys were good. Really helpful. My car didnt need much but they offered me a ride to the bus station. They got me fixed up tho.
Jenkins used to be my go to repair shop. Took my Honda Passport to them because something was going wrong with the transmission. After a couple of hundred dollars the transmission was repaired. Wrong. Within 2 weeks, the Honda went back in for the same problem. Now the bill was $300. Everything was fine for 2 weeks. The transmission was acting up again. Instead of taking back to Jenkins, it went to the dealer. All the sensors in the transmission and had to have the transmission overhauled for $3000. I dont know if Jenkins caused the complete failure or if they were just putting band aids on my car when it needed surgery. I have never returned.
They were friendly and got my truck done quick as possible and let me make payments. BUT my Chevy emblem was stolen (or came off and never put back on) while at their shop.
Fast friendly service Phil came over looked at my issue diagnosed it called a tow truck and within 2 days I had it back before Easter weekendThank you
Jenkins Auto Repair Professionals were friendly and provided all the information I needed when making a decision about my car repair. I was able to trust them to do the repair in a timely manner at a very fair price. I will be going back to Jenkins for all of my auto needs.
They have had my car for 2 weeks now and done nothing to it... only response i got back from them was when i called telling them i was taking my car elsewhere. They told me then that it would be done the next day. So here i am the next day and still nothing... on the way to rip their asses and get my car taken to a real mechanic. They say its because he upped his marketing but you should probably make sure you can handle the demand before you get yourself in the situation they have. I would recommend anywhere else in town to get your car worked on. That is unless you like going weeks with no vehicle and status on whats wrong with it.
Great service at a reasonable price. Very friendly people top to bottom. Highly recommend
I was traveling through I-70 East when my tailpipe dropped off the rear end. I dragged it the pipe several miles to the Greenfield exit. I called Walmart asked for help....they informed me they did not do that sort of thing. (Helping people I suppose not included in Walmart’s mission statement). They suggested I call Monroe Tire. So I did...the dude on the phone was more worried about getting done in time to leave for the evening and said he could not get to me that evening. I informed him I lived in Ohio. He did not care and had no advice. I googled auto repair centers in Greenfield... the first did not answer the phone at all. Then I called Jenkins Auto Repair. Phil answered the phone...I explained my situation and issue. He said bring it right over he could fix it no problem.
I took my vehicle here when my power steering went out. I called them and was told they could get it in the next day, it was a week before they actually got the vehicle inside to look at it. they told me they would have it done and get back to me. A few more days pass and they still had done nothing with my vehicle and informed me they would be right back on it once they finished with another vehicle. I told them to just stop and had it towed to Cory’s Automotive. Jenkins had the vehicle for 2 weeks and fixed nothing, Cory’s had it for 2 days and have it fixed at a lower rate. I would take all my buisness to Cory’s and never waste my time with this place.
I had worst case scenario happen to me omw to work today. Broke down off of 70 east at the greenfield exit.I was towed to the auto shop the tow referred ( or would drop me off at ). I was lucky that it was Jenkins auto repair. I was hoping for a quick cheap fix but the problem was more expensive than my car was worth. With limited funds, no car anymore, and far from home. They didnt charge me for looking at it, they are willing to let me park it there til i can scrap it, and they actually payed for me to have a uber ride home. They treated me with respect, didnt charge me a dime, and i highly recommend them to anyone who needs car service.
I called on a Monday to see if they had time for an alignment. They said bring it on Wednesday at noon, so I made an appointment. At 5:15 I hadn’t heard back yet but my ride needed to get me there at that time. When I showed up they told me they didn’t get to my Jeep. No call. No news. Very upset. Terrible customer service.
I work there! LOL
Very professional. Great customer service.
Have my oil changed with Jenkins, their kindness and consideration is overwhelming. Would definitely recommend Jenkins.
Asked for pricing for some tires, did not receive it. Went with Riley Tires, they responded.
Very good first experience.
Great service
Extremely helpful and down-to-earth good people who help you solve your automotive woes.
Stopped in with a break emergency, and they were able to get us in and out in a couple of hours. Nice and courteous too!
Professional staff, genuine guys can tell they take care of business and put an emphasis on quality
Jenkins Auto Repair provided me with amazing customer service. The first thing I did was look up repair shops in my area, and when i called Jenkins the first thing Phil asked was if I needed someone to come get me and the car. From the beginning they were very kind to me. They updated me on my vehicle daily, and always called with estimates prior to continue working on my vehicle. The estimates were reasonable for the work required on my car, and were spot on with my end bill. Phil also sent me a vodeo to my cell phone to bettwr show and help me underatnd the damage that occured. I feel they went above and beyond to help me, and they were compassionate and understanding of my needs. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing service on their car.
Really knowledgeable and super friendly staff.
