Clean and well organized, with a fantastic selection of toddler books. I appreciate the kindness of the sales reps. Our cashier was quick and funny. Just a great overall experience!
My safe place, where knowledge taste like fresh hot coffee during a cold winter morning.
It’s a nice bookstore, but a little pricy on some books. It’s definitely a go to place if you’re in dire need of a book, or anything they sell.
Probably my favorite bookstore in Greensboro. The selection is phenomenal. They also frequently have new options from books to gifts. Its always so neat and organized and the employees are nothing short of amazing. You can tell they take pride in the business. The indoor Café is the cherry on top. Its nice and quiet closer to the west wing if you came to study. I cant wait for the fall collection.
Workers there were very helpful in helping me find what I wanted.
Love this store but they need to get a bigger anime selection
Best and one of the oldest bookstores around. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful if you can track one down. I have shopped here from high school through graduate school. Working on publishing my own work and they have plenty of research resources.
Always love coming here. I love the vinyl they sell, and even when I’m not browsing vinyl here I still absolutely love coming and looking through the books to find something new.
This location has a good selection of books for children. They also have an entire section of books in Spanish for children. They have several areas to read with your children. They even offer special events. The staff does not bother you nor attempt to get you to purchase anything. You can stay as long as youd like! They even have a play area. Plus, they have a cafe with food and coffee so you can reenergize or simply enhance your visit!
Very clean and organized store! The employees were very kind and helpful. I will definitely be back to this particular store
Employees had great personalities, and very helpful. Highly recommend this Barnes and Noble
Its a bookstore, so that in and of itself is a wonder thing. Plenty of books in every section, a great array of journals, and other sundry items. Plus a cafe, so total win!
First time in here. In Georgia, my closet store is Books-A-Million. I needed some assistance and the first associate I approached was too busy to do anything except point after I stood in line waiting to ask for help. I tried to figure things out on my own and ended up back at the counter asking another person for help. At that time, the first associate overheard me asking for help yet again and she dedicated to walk over and pick out a few books to show me before walking away. I’m sorry that my confusion was an inconvenience to associates. I own a small business in Georgia and have medical issues that have slowed my processing and effected my memory. I purchased one book because I was looking for something that could help me. This obviously is the wrong place if you need any assistance.
I just love this bookstore....my favorite thing is the smell of books and coffee. Nothing like it. Prices are a bit high....but how can you expect anything less for a great story
The store is nice. Got drinks from the cafe and when I asked for straws the snarky jerk behind the counter made a comment about how he gives people strawless lids for a reason. News flash - there are people with medical conditions who have a difficult time drinking without straws, which would be why I asked for a straw. Also, there are cardboard straws coated in paraffin that are biodegradable. Next time Ill go to Caribou Coffee across the parking lot.
Great place to study and get work done. Starbucks cafe is always clean and quiet. Staff is always friendly and attentive.
It was great!!! As an educator they signed me up for a rewards card (free) and I ended up getting 25% my order. That was a super happy surprise!! I will probably get a million annoying emails now but I dont even care. Thanks Barnes and Noble for telling me about it and getting me signed up easy peasy! I will tell my teacher friends!
Nice book store with Lots of books to choose from.
This bookstore has a great variety of books across all different genres and ages. It has a cozy feeling. The food at the cafe is absolutely delicious. I especially enjoy the quiche. The customer service rep in the mystery thriller section was SUPER!However, my recent visit is my reason for giving this location 3 stars vs 5 stars. The bookseller in the children’s section didn’t greet me when I entered her department. In customer service, there is a 10 second 10 ft rule. Associates must greet the customer and inform him/her that they’re available if assistance is needed. A smile goes a long way too in the event the associate is tied up with another customer. Unfortunately, the associate in the children’s area of the store looked at me three times and refused to acknowledge that I was there. When I got sarcastic and greeted her, she was left standing there looking silly.Customer service goes a LONG WAY!
Ive been going here I was a kid and Ive always loved it, but its in need of renovation and updating. You can find a few good deals here but the prices are what they are, a bit skewed towards the expensive side of the spectrum. The Cafe is nice enough but its seen better days and the whole space could use some life breathed into it again. All in all, its one of the last of the old bastions of big open reatil spaces for books and such, and you can get lost for a few hours in books over a cup of coffee.
Great selection and well organized. I bit pricey vs. Internet. But no wait!
Really nice to be able to visit again. Same great selection and same helpful, friendly staff.
The store of books! Store was clean and well organized as usual, like the greater percentage of their locations. However, I did notice the store had a sour stench in the area I was looking at books in. The smell was a cross between chlorine, sour kraut and old hot dog water. I couldnt pin point the location so not sure if it was actually the store or if it was a few unkempt ladies in the vicinity. None the less, I do go back for another huff and some books!
I adore Barnes and Noble. It has diverse staff, books, great coffee, and tasty treats. However, today the guy manning the cafe just couldnt be bothered and was borderline rude. Hes not B&N material.
I visited Barnes & Noble in order to pick up a book that I ordered online. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. It did not take that long to find my book and check me out.I decided to stop by your coffee shop and purchase a couple of baked cookies. My experience there was much different. The cashier, Eli C, was not attentive. That could be because he he was wearing war buds. He was somewhat dismissive when I did get his attention and not friendly at all. The young lady that bagged my order was cold and aloof. When I thanked her, she merely turned away and didnt say a word. It was as if I wasnt there. The date of my visit was today, 12/1/20. The transaction number on my receipt was 0034. I dont know if that helps or not.I cant I understand why your cashier staff was so friendly and helpful and your coffee shop staff was so rude and unfriendly. Maybe your cashiers should teach your coffee shop employees a lesson in good customer service.
I love going to this store. So much to look at. Great gift items.
I go there for tea and to relax thats what I have my first date with my husband so sometimes I just go back there for memberance
I went to the Greensboro NC Friendly Shopping Center Barnes and Noble on 11/3/2020 b/c of a serious problem with my Nook. We drove from Danville, VA 46 miles away b/c this was the closest B & N Store. The Assistant Manager, Chase, was very helpful and patient. I left the store satisfied that I had received the best advice possible. In an era when well-mannered sales reps are not commonly found in our retail businesses, this assistant manager was an excellent representative, thoroughly schooled in the IT skills and very patient as he spent 20 minutes with a senior citizen customer whose Nook didn’t work. Five Stars!
Very pleasant ☺ surprise that this Barnes and nobles had a large amount of black books with awesome American black people
Nice book store almost back to normal.
Lovely time with my daughter 😚 we love to read
Always clean. Helpful staff. Do not go near closing time. They announce they are closing every two minutes starting 30 minutes before the closing time. Very annoying.
Excellent service in cafe. The rest of the staff seemed a bit uptight. Didnt go our of their way to acknowledge or offer assistance.
Not like the Old BN from a few years ago but I guess everyone is stressed out during COVID. I like the selection especially the childrens science section. I hope this store perseveres but with better management.
This library is beautiful and have a section for libros en Español. The athmosphere is nice. A must place to visit in Grensboro.
I go to Barnes & Noble almost every Sunday. Im like a kid in a candy store when Im around books, so its always a fun time for me. To young folks, I say: read, read, read!! Youll never be bored with all the wonders you will find or how much you will learn from books!!!
Very nice selection!
I just love this place! The staff is friendly, the bookshelves are tidy, and the coffee shop makes it smell great! This place is one of my favorite ways to spend some free time.
Great place .. customer service was awesome.. so many options of books
Its one of the larger bookstores in Greensboro. It can be hard to find something if you are looking for a specific book and a bit overwhelming if you dont know what you want. The aisles are small, which is not the best for an open store in a pandemic. Staff is nice.
Nice, big and well laid out.
My favorite Barnes & Noble location.
The bookstore was very nice. Clean, neat, organized and staff were nice. One staff member unprofessional with a shirt that did not cover her back side. Unfortunately I could see her backside below the belt when passing in an isle way.
This is the second time Ive come to the store and the same lady, I believe she is the manager, gave me an attitude. She acts like she doesnt want to be bothered with any questions. I never received help because she gave me short answers and didnt even try to help, so I just left.
Tons of manga, cool people.
Absolutely love this place! Very friendly customer service peeps!!
Very nice. Lots of manga!
This place might be a little over priced. I love atmosphere and the cheesecake. The service was great. When get a meal here, its not that great. The bill was 17 dollars for one slice of cheesecake and 2 coffees.
Great place great selection not to busy
I could wander through B&N for hours, but they were asking people to limit their shopping time to 30 minutes.
I love books! I was like a kid in a candy store! Love the cafe. Chilling & reading!
The best in town.
Good stuff. Nice size store
Quiet, clean environment. Clean bathrooms.
Every time I visit, the number of books get smaller and they continually find a way to make you wander all over the store to find a section.
So many books so little time!
Everyone is kind and helpful
Great place to shop.,,Megan was very helpful..👍
AMAZING!!! the staff is very friendly and they have an amazing amount of books but thats what you expect from a bookstore.
This is the place to get the books which you dont want to wait to have delivered. Also while you are looking for the book which you came to get you will frequently find other books which you would enjoy.
Manga books for my daughter on her bday and a helpful lady in kids section to find historical fiction for little ones.
Was very disappointed! No longer sell calendars or daytimers...I suppose theyve been downsizing because of business losses last year but still sad...really dont like doing all my shopping online but little reason to go to an actual store any longer.
Great selection of books and educational toys. Great kids section
Lines are long, as they are this time of year. Still not bad. Couldnt find any New Age books, though.
Great place to sit and drink coffee and peruse. Books are pricey but if you need the book right now this is the place to go.
Its great I can always find what I am looking for
Great customer service!
They did not have the 3 books I was looking for and could not order them.
Beautiful store and always find what I need!
Found exactly what I was looking for!
I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff is very nice and pleasant 😊
Best place for everything books.
This is the last of the full-service bookstores left in Greensboro thanks to Amazon. The childrens section is very inviting and well organized. I enjoy the greeting card section as well, and the magazine selection is extensive. I enjoy browsing here often, and theres a coffee shop in the back for those who are interested. Ive purchased some neat recycled wood and educational toys here that were well-loved.
Good books. Can find any book .
ALL of the staff is amazing. They’re very kind and helpful. The Starbucks staff is also extremely kind and lovely, I had an embarrassing moment where I couldn’t afford a bagel (I’m like 6 please don’t judge) and the guy working at the cafe was very sweet about it. Another very kind girl complemented me and helped me find a book. The layout can be slightly confusing but it’s fairly simple to figure out. 100/10 recommend.
Its Barnes and Noble, theyre all the same, great staff.
I love Barnes & Noble this place is my dream jobAlways has the best books and everything
Wonderful place to go with my grandchildren
Very clean & organized
It would get five stars, but they are so expensive we love coming and walking down every isle. You never know what great read you will find.
The whole social distancing process is getting to be enough reason to stay home & listen to Audible. It seems the inventory is going way too far towards the kids demographic for my liking. Another example of big corporations seeing their future instead of their present customer base.
Quiet. Good selection. Can get coffee and sit down with it or walk and browse with your coffee.
Always great
4 rare DVD/CD box collections I always go to this store 2 place pick up orders. Only downside is that they never call to let you know when the order is in. When there is a 1- 5 day hold time, that can cause a problem as they will no longer set it aside 4 u. Better communication is needed amongst the employees regarding this?
Everything except the churros but everything else is super delicious
Barnes and Noble is perfect whenever you are searching for books.
Associate was very helpful. Will return to buy some books.
This is a great Barnes & Noble! I am there a few days a week with my 3 year old who loves the kids area. The Starbucks staff is friendly and competent and there’s never a long line there or at the book checkout. Great selection of magazines and bargain books. Nothing but great things to say!
