Glenwood Community Bookstore is now open M-SA, 12-4PM. Al is 85 and is a great conversationalist. He ran a gallery in New York where he gave Robert Smithson his first solo show and put on a Happening together. He then went into publishing and had been selling books for over five decades. The bookstore had an incredible poetry section and has a lot of gems in a wide range of subjects. The children’s books are dispersed around the bookstore - in fact Al would like some help making a children’s section! Go buy a book from Al and support this important neighborhood and local institution!

Wonderful place!

This is one of my favorite places in Greensboro. Al Brilliant, the owner, is the most interesting person I have ever known. He knows a lot about books and many other things.
