Love these stores they have a good selection of high quality gear, camping, hiking, knives, axes, shoes etc. and all the staff seem to be actually knowledgeable. I can’t stress the high quality part enough, it can be disheartening walking in most outdoors stores only seeing the cheap items being pushed and anything of quality sold online only, going in here is a breath of fresh air. If anyone from this store sees this, whomever you put in charge of picking what products you carry in store give that person or people a raise, it really is what sets your stores apart. Honestly I wish these stores would grow much bigger and take the place of like REI.

Called and asked some questions. The guy was very informative and helpful and didnt mind me asking questions. He answered every one of my questions. He didnt answer like he didnt want to be there or he hated working there. At many businesses, I call before going to the business to see what kind of attitude the people have and their patience listening to questions. Ill be visiting on Monday and recommend this location. Kudos to him, staff and management.

Rob and crew are very knowledgeable and helpful, recently purchased some wading boots and couldnt be more pleased with my experience and purchase. Great to have quality equipment and service near by.

This is the best place for any gift needs. Anyone on your list that loves the outdoors like we do will love the great selection and helpful service. Tim helped us and had a toddlers wrapping skills but made up for it with being helpful.

I am from Orlando visiting Greensboro looking for a new road bike and other outdoor equipment. I had driven 10 miles from my hotel to visit the store and hoped to have a great experience. I walked in looking well groomed and asked to use the restroom before shopping and was told the restroom was broken. Therefore, I replied we’ll go shop somewhere else.

Great store for outdoor gear with awesome staff who are always ready to assist. With a huge selection for all outdoor adventures, Ill be coming back here A LOT.

Ive been shopping here for more than 15 years- boots, shoes, backpacking, rock climbing, clothing, etc. Bill, Rob, and rest of staff are always super friendly and always take the time to talk-shop about the latest gear and help me buy the right item. Knowledgeable team and no overbearing sales pressure. I cant say enough good things.

I stopped by this evening to purchase a kayak. Rob and Dana were both so down to earth and extremely knowledgable about the kayaks in regard to what would best suit me for my recreational and fishing needs. Having gone after work, I was still unwinding.....but from the second I walked in the store until I drove away, it was stress free and a pleasure to speak with both of them.They were upfront about deteriorating seals on the kayak hatches (due to its age) & offered to personally get in touch with the manufacturer to check on possibility for replacement hatch/seal. Dana helped me load kayak on car and pointed out proper straps in keeping the transport experience safe....especially since Im tossing it on roof of my Honda Civic.A no hassle and honest buying experience is what you will get at Great Outdoor Provision Co in Greensboro.

I went to Great Outdoor Provision in Greensboro because the store there stocks some items that my local store in Winston-Salem does not. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable - especially Bekah, who took the time to not only explain the different aspects of the travel bags my wife and I were looking at, but also gave us a ton of insight based on her own personal experiences while travelling abroad with similar bags. I would highly recommend this store to anyone.

Great small hiking / camping / fishing type store with lots of nice clothing as well. Like REI but on a smaller scale. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. A bit on the pricier side but you get what you pay for!

They have lots of great stuff. I had a lot of assistance accessing kayaks. I get all my fly fishing and camping gear here too.

Cant say, I cant wear a mask so they would not let me in the door. Go to Mountain Outfitters in West Jefferson they want your business and have a fantastic staff.

This is a very cool outdoors store. I compared prices throughout the store to Amazons, and found the store to have cheaper prices than Amazon. It is definitely worth it.

I ordered online and was not allowed to pick up in store because I did not have a mask. I then asked if they could bring it out to my car and was told no because my car could be infected because I had not been wearing a mask. I will never do business with this establishment ever again.

A little pricey and one of the ladies working there was snooty. But would return, its a good place for top brand outdoor gear. And if you catch their sidewalk sale you can get some great deals

Very clean, organized and the staff was very helpful but didnt hover. Their clothes are great quality and last for several seasons. Enjoy shopping there when I can.

Really nice store and staff. Went in looking for a backpack and left with a bunch of knowledge and materials on what type and size for different needs. Great selection of Patagonia as well. Prices are a little higher in my opinion, but the service you get makes up for it.

These guys are great. While they didnt have what I needed in the Greensboro store, they did in the Winston-Salem shop. Theyre very helpful and friendly and they even ship what I needed to the closest store. Ill definitely stop in again.
