Have yet to have a good experience here. Tried calling for home network services and was told they dont do that, which is fine. They shared that they supply many local contractors with hardware and parts. After asking for a referral, I was told they wouldnt share any names because they didnt want to play favorites. Wed only lived in town for a few days and had no contacts. Very disappointing, and also a shame for contractors who do business with them and are missing referrals.Also stopped by their location recently to shop for some wireless equipment. The young lady working the front counter was very nice and needed to refer my question to the owner/manager. Instead of coming up front to chat, the gentleman simply shouted responses to the salesperson. No effort was made to chat with a potential, long-term client. My Lenovo laptop dropped off the couch, and the monitor no longer worked correctly. I needed it urgently for work, so I called computer warehouse to see if they could fix it quickly. At their shop, they practiced safe distancing and even offered to diagnose the issue on the spot in case they could fix it while I waited. Unfortunately they couldnt fix it so quickly, but they offer expedited service to get it fixed that day. This was 3 months ago. My laptop has worked great ever since.

The laptop screen that was ordered as a replacement part turned out to be defective, and so a second screen had to be ordered, which caused some delay in the repair. Nevertheless, the repair was successfully completed, and the laptop has functioned perfectly well with the new screen. Im very satisfied with the result, and would use Computer Warehouse of North Carolina again without hesitation if I ever needed another computer repair.

We had a passport storage media and it would just click and click with no data being retrieved. It contained pictures from 1998 to 2018....They told us what the process would be and the approximate cost if they could retrieve the data (some data cannot be retrieved). They retrieved all the data and the cost was exactly what they quoted. Very nice work and great people to work with....We will contact them in the future if we need any additional work...very competent workmanship and professionalism.thanks

In December I had accidentally dropped my external hard drive while I was backing up data. The hard drive would not read and I began to panic. I looked into several different vendors for data recovery but ultimately decided to go with Computer Warehouse. There were cheaper options by mail online but you don’t want to risk losing your irreplaceable data just to save a bit of money. Many times there’s just one shot at recovery. If you take it to the wrong place and they mess it up, there’s no amount of money that can change that. So I went with Computer Warehouse because they’re local, knowledgeable, and hospitable. Everyone I spoke with was kind and took the time to answer all my questions. Data recovery can be terrifying—I thought I’d lost 2 years of memories. Gladly though, Jett was able to recover the data and answer all the questions I had about future storage processes. I hope I never lose my data again but glad there’s a place like Computer Warehouse here in town.

They repaired a Lenovo Black Friday laptop for me that was under warranty. There was a parts delay from Lenovo due to COVID. Computer Warehouse communicated that to me and let me know they would fix it once the parts came in. I did have to make two trips to pick it up as the laptop was in some sort of test mode and needed to have a total restore done on it. I noticed this while in the store and gave it back to them. I blame this on the Lenovo being a inexpensive laptop that was using a hard drive built into the main board. I suspect the board was replaced to fix the battery issue.The people at Computer Warehouse fixed it quick considering everything was closed due to the pandemic. I would recommend them.

My computer screen broke less than a week after purchasing my laptop. I was sent to Computer Warehouse where the service was great. It was just before a holiday weekend and they did their best to quickly place the order for the replacement, spent a long time helping brainstorm what could have happened and how to prevent it moving forward. I experienced a stuck key on my 9 month old laptop in early March 2020 which woud not let me enter text. Due to COVID-19, I couldnt get an appointment with Geek Squad or another local dealer. I was (fortunately) referred to Computer Warehouse and took my laptop to them. Within a day they diagnosed the problem and also informed me that since it was still under warauntee, a new keyboard would cost me nothing. They had it ready within a week and I have had no troublr with it since. The staff was friendly, eager to help and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them/5 stars.

Had a breakdown in the power drive of my ancient Gateway 200 Model G-6 300 MHz machine. Ordered it from the now-defunct Gateway store here in Greensboro in 1998! Forget about finding someone to repair it here in town, good luck finding someone in town to repair ANY machine today! But, happened across Computer Warehouse, and they took on the case! New power drive, and system back up and running...hopefully for another 20 years!

The retrieved my data quickly, efficiently, and 100%. I didnt lose anything. They explained what sort of issues I could face and the difference in price depending. I got lucky, with the less expensive problem. The staff was nice and good to deal with. If I need any other work done, theyre the group I am going to.

I had installed an update to my laptops software and when I rebooted my machine locked up. I took the laptop in mid-morning and explained the problem. The analyst ask I leave my computer. Because they had a backlog, I paid extra to expedite the repair. I came back mid-afternoon and all was well. I have no problems since. Good job!

When my 3 year old Apple laptop computer screen broke, I took it to the Apple Store to have it looked at. The computer itself worked fine, but nothing was showing on the display screen. Apple Store told me it would be a minimum of $500.00 to repair the screen, so I left with it and began to consider purchasing a new laptop. My friend recommended “Computer Warehouse of NC” to have it reevaluated before buying a new one. I dropped it off at CWNC, and the next week they called me and said the cable inside the computer that connects the display screen to the computer had become disconnected. They reattached it and secured it so it would not come loose again. I was so pleasantly surprised when they told me it was a $60.00 charge! I brought my computer in because it wouldn’t boot up. It was pretty old but worked fine. After the assessed it they said it was a memory and mother board problem. They said they could replace it but because of the age did I want to spend the money? I thought about it and thought a replacement was in order. I needed my computer to write a sales proposal for a customer when my laptop froze. I had to have it done by a specific time that day and was in dire straits. This was the only place that even considered helping me with the timeline. Although they charged a rush fee they were able to fix it before my deadline. Other places were very rude and condescending. These guys were cool.

Great group of people. I spoke with both Dan and Tim. I had a specific computer that I wanted to build. I had a list of parts for the build. They advised me on what works best and built my personal computer. I am very happy. It runs fast and looks great.

Affordable! I could not get my laptop repaired, because the company (sony) does not make my model anymore. The Computer Warehouse team informed me of this, and still tried to scour their contacts and the internet for replacement parts. I needed a working computer asap, so i ended up buying a new laptop (not from Computer Warehouse) and the team assisted me in transferring my old laptop harddrive onto a portable harddrive so i can have all the data i worked hard to accumulate over the years at my fingertips. If i have a future laptop/computer problem, i will definitely go to these guys!

My computer is used for graphic art for a screen printers and i had 4 years of artwork that I thought was totally lost. Computer warehouse got back almost all of my files and saved me from a ton of work. They also have the best customer service, they have called twice to check up and see if I needed anything else. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who has a drive failure. (fingers crossed they dont though, very scary!)

Even though they were busy they found the time to help me with locating some hardware I needed for a home-built. The tech was especially good and offered some advice that ended up saving money and time. The only negative was that I found a part hanging on the wall that they said they did not have, but that was because it had been put in the wrong place, presumably by an earlier customer. I will be going back.

Excellent service from Christina. She took my desk top computer order with the specs, offered a great extended warranty at a low price, the shop built my two computers for our work place and I pick up the systems a few days later. I have conducted business here for over 10 years. Give them a try.

We had purchased a new laptop from them less than a year ago and in the process of updating the Lenovo software it froze. We took it in to them and they made certain that the hard drive was replaced under warranty. The whole process took less than a week and we continue to be impressed by the sales and service that they have provided to us.

When my hard drive failed, I brought it to Computer Warehouse for diagnostics. After a week they called and informed that I would have to have it replaced and gave me options on what I can could do and took it from there. The service was good. My only complaint would be the time that it took to fix my computer. It took like 2 weeks for them to upgrade and replace my drive.

Computer Warehouse did some warranty work on two occasions. In both instances they accurately diagnosed the issues, fixed and delivered when promised. They even were able to recover my data-a definite plus.

I came to Computer Warehouse because my laptops charger port wasnt working anymore. The man who fixed my charger port did so in a timely manner (considering they had a few people ahead of me, it was fixed in about 5 days) and explained to me why my issue may have occurred. All in all it was a good experience.

My original visit to Computer Warehouse was prompted by my own carelessness of mishandling of my Lenovo Laptop which resulted in a broken screen. My experience began with a sincere welcoming, followed by time with a technician as he immediately confirmed materials needed were available, and a pickup date confirmed. This is service I like; and now, I know I will be returning as future needs arise.

I am an accountant and right in the middle of tax season I had a computer crash. I thought I was being diligent about backing up because I had a nightly backup to the cloud and also backed up to another hard drive in my office every single day. Unfortunately, my computer was apparently having serious issues for at least a few weeks and every backup that I had for that period was corrupt. The guys at computer warehouse were able to retrieve my data from my crashed drive. They worked diligently and quickly to have me up and running within two days. They built a computer to meet my needs AND restored my data to the new computer. I was expecting a huge bill for their emergency services, but was pleasantly surprised when it came time to pay. There are not enough words to express how pleased I was with their service and their prices.

All our images were preserved and returned to us in just a few days, for much less than others had quoted for a hunting expedition. Everyone was courteous and professional, and we were well-pleased. We were extremely pleased with Computer Warehouse when our laptop became non-functional. Even though we had always been careful with virus protection, somehow it became infected and grew steadily worse. We were looking at the very real possibility of (ugh) having to replace it, download all the data, etc. etc. Enter COMPUTER WAREHOUSE! They have a great team who are truly knowledgeable and they spent the time needed to really find the problems and fix them. It was not a quickie here ya go and out the door half-fix that winds up being more expensive....Computer Warehouse did the job right the first time and truly FIXED our computer. I had a crashed hard drive and needed data recovery. The place was easy to work with. They were clear in their explanations of what they can and cannot do with such situations. Crashed hard drives can require intensive labor and specialized equipment. However, when you need the data, you have very little choice. They were very professional and gave advice to prevent further such occurrences.

I brought my PC for a upgrade because I had only 4gb of ram. They took my pc and upgraded the ram and had it back to me within hour. This company is awesome with awesome prices.

Laptop quit- failed drive. Dropped it off with CWNC late on a Friday. On Monday they let me know their findings, options, and respective cost estimates. Midday following Friday I picked laptop up with new drive and recovered data. Great communication from them though the time of repair.

The motherboard went out on my three week old lenovo laptop. These guys had me fixed up within the week. Lenovo warranty covered every penny.The end result of the work was great. I experienced a slight delay as they had a bit of trouble with their software to assign a new serial number to the motherboard; Im under the impression theyve sorted that out now.The real thing I felt they were missing was a couple of chairs... I had to wander the store for 45 minutes while the last of the repairs were complete. A rudimentary waiting area would be an easy and strong addition to the store.

They excellently build all of our workstations/desktops for all of our branches in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Honduras to our specifications. We occasionally send units in for repair with a timely turn around and all data is in tack. CWNC is a great relief for us, we know that the job will be done and done well.

Dropped off a micro SD card with some lost video. The guy I dropped it off with didnt know how much it would be, so I left it there and it took them a few days to get me a quote (after being told 1 business day). Eventually I got the call for the quote, and was told that it would be OVER $350 for just over 7 gigs of video. Thats ridiculous. The software online is only 70 bucks. Dont go here unless you got more money than you know what to do with.
