My Mom had this wonderful company do her granite tops. They were on time, courteous, and cleaned up before leaving. Our salesperson Jerry was very patient, as Mom is in her 90s, and he took the time to explain everything to her. Everyone there was so helpful thru this project!!!! This is still a work in process but these tops have made this old house come to life!

We have used Carolina Custom Surfaces for three different projects over the last 4 years. Sales staff is very helpful, the products are high quality and competitively priced, and installation is professional. Attached is a photo of the most recent project, a kitchen remodel.

Service was great from the sales team, to the installers and office staff. Sales manager worked for an hour with us to find something we liked and from whole installation process was easy, well communicated, and on time. Well do business with them again if I ever attempt another remodel.

Mark was very helpful in assisting us with our choice of a quartz countertop for our bathroom remodel. Mark did a great job finding a remnant that they were able to install on 2 of our bathrooms we remodeled. That was their easy part. On a recent kitchen refresh project, we looked all over the Triad, Charlotte, and Raleigh for our counter-tops. We settled with Carolina Custom Surfaces for a multitude of reasons. Not that other companies out there are bad, but that this team is the best. We really do our homework when it comes to selecting products and people who will work for us. These guys are the real deal. Top notch at what they do. Every step through the process was fantastic. We dealt with Mark (excellent by the way), but even when we stopped by one day (Mark was off), other staff jumped right in to answer questions. You can run all over NC if you want, or save yourself the time and just deal with them. I understand that something can go wrong on any project, but ours went off perfect. Our busy life doesnt leave much time for scheduling appointments to find counter tops but Jerry Smith at Carolina Custom Surfaces made time for us. He made time in his schedule for our family to choose two granite tops for our bathroom vanity cabinets. I had a wonderful experience purchasing a vanity counter top and table top at Carolina Custom Surfaces. I was lucky that Keith Nutt helped me and my husband with the process. He was very knowledgeable, showed passion and enthusiasm while presenting the many options available to us. He is skilled at detecting undertones in the products which was a tremendous help to ensure all of our finishes would look cohesive. I have to commend him on his patience because I am an over thinker and he never made me feel rushed. Once we decided on the product the process went super fast. We decided to give our kitchen a face lift, and proceeded with contracting through our local big-box-hardware-store. In short, that was a terrible experience, and well NEVER go that route again. Fortunately, once Carolina Custom Surfaces had the ball in their court, it felt like a weight had been lifted from our shoulders. I had so many questions from all of the misinformation provided by the big box store, that I didnt know where to start, and we were at the end of this project (if that makes sense). CCS answered all of our questions and reassured us they would handle everything. Communication prior, during and even after the installation was top notch. The installation crew was punctual, professional and very well mannered. They took their time to show me each step of the process. There was no fumbling of tools or materials, and they knew exactly what they were doing. It was apparently clear these men were skilled in their trade. After installation, I found a couple of very minor naturally occurring indentations where the quartz fell out during the cutting/polishing process. I voiced my concern by phone, and without question, was scheduled to have those areas touched up (such a relief there wasnt an additional fee!) If or when we ever decide to upgrade our bathroom counters, we will skip the big-box-store and go directly through Carolina Custom Surfaces! A+ all around and was truly a refreshing experience! I got much better selection and pricing here than the big box store I initially contacted for my project. Everyone was very helpful and things moved at a much quicker pace than I expected. What a wonderful experience. From the first contact, to the finished project, these people know what to do and how to do it. We recently redid our kitchen with a series of quartz counter tops. And after weeks of looking and traveling we decided to use Carolina Custom. Their helpful sales people, the large selection of colors and styles, and the best price made the challenge of selection easy. They measured our kitchen and laundry room with a laser and then computer cut the counters to the perfect size. The delivery team knew exactly how to install the finished tops and knowledgeable on how to handle the heavy top. We have suggested to a number of our friends how easy Carolina Custom was to deal with and how they made the job almost fun. Nothing but praise for this company and their excellent product.

Awesome staff!!! Very friendly and courteous from the first phone call to the visit to the showroom. I had a VERY small job and went to a stone fabricator near my home thinking it would be more convenient. BIG mistake! I felt I had inconvenienced the staff by even asking them to consider my job. Not the case at all at with Jenny and John. They were more than helpful and spent time with me as if I were redoing my kitchen tops. I have read the other comments and cannot imagine any of those situations described happening at this establishment, especially the amount of time that was spent with me on such a small job. I cant wait until we are ready to redo our kitchen, I will definitely be heading back to see Jenny! You will not be disappointed with this staff and their fantastic work.

We walked in and a sales person hollered from the back to come see him, didnt get up from his desk then flat out told us that he didnt want to waste his time walking us around the showroom if he wasnt guaranteed a sale. I have never seen such poor customer service! I was flabbergasted... We ended up leaving. Were building a new home and will certainly be taking our business elsewhere. Highly recommend that you go somewhere they arent just out for your money.

We were extremely pleased with our dealings with Carolina Custom Surfaces from start to finish. Our quartz kitchen countertops look great with no seams and fit perfectly. We were happy with all the departments we interacted with, sales, measurement, and installation.

Everything went smooth until the day before the installation. We were called about an error in the thickness we were told our top would be. Since (like most people) I work, it took me about an hour to call back and confirm that the new thickness was ok. Unknown to us we had a very short window to call back and still keep our installation appointment, which we apparently missed because we were then informed that the installation would be delay a week. When we called our salesman (Mark Eisenstein) to express our discontent with the delay he proceeded to tell us how it wasn’t his fault or problem and that they don’t make any money on remnants anyway so he could cancel the order for us right then. Needless to say, we canceled the order which went very smooth so that was a relief.

I found the sales staff very rude, I guess when you only need a small countertop you arent worth the time. I didnt mention I will be remodeling my kitchen in a couple of months and buying a lot more; maybe that would have gotten me better service. I will not waste any more time with this company.

All the negative reviews of this place is EXACTLY what I thought about this place...even as a former employee! They treat their workers lower than dirt! I have since moved on in life(career-wise SMART decision on my end), make more money than 3/4 of the company, had a friend go check out prices for my newly built home and they treated him just as poorly as others have stated! I wouldnt even give this company a half star! If they harass their employees and think its cute and funny how do you expect them to treat the ACTUAL CUSTOMER!?

Good experience with the product and installation but now, five years later, poor service with buying a replacement faucet from them.

They arrived on time and did a great job on the installation. They also cleaned up very nicely!

During a difficult kitchen remodel, every contact with Carolina Custom Surfaces has been my breath of fresh air. Jenny in Sales was friendly and funny and responsive to all my questions, making sure someone from Production came out to look at what I wanted to do for feasibility. Scheduling was very pleasant even though our construction delays led to changing the template date four times. Rich who did the templating was very precise and on top of everything. My counters were ready in one week to install and installation also went smoothly - installers were courteous and experienced. I was particularly grateful to Jenny when we had some second guessing at the very last minute - after ordering our slabs. Jenny gave me my options without judgment as to our flakiness and found a huge remnant of our stone and had it brought out so I could come see in a large format with our flooring and backsplash choices. I felt so much better! Every contact was handled very professionally.

I wish I could give Carolina Custom Surfaces ZERO stars. We ordered a white quartz countertop with white veins (in early July mind you). The date of install was pushed back twice at the fault of CCS. When they finally came to install, they showed up WITHOUT THE ISLAND PIECE. They said it was left out in the sun and became severely discolored - clearly they don’t take care of their product! They said they had to order another one for us and they’d get it here ASAP. We set a date for install and waited. Two days before install, we learned it “never showed up” at the location, and we had to wait yet again. When they finally brought island #2, it had a huge gash in it and black marks throughout. Remember - white quartz with white veins. Obviously black marks are VERY visible. We sent it back and they said they’d order another piece and get it to us right away. Took another 3-4 weeks. The next piece came (#3) and had ballpoint pen marks all over it that wouldn’t come out. They had to order another piece (#4) - when that one was delivered, it STILL HAD GASHES AND MARKS ON IT! We had been going on FOUR months for this single island piece and had had enough. We were told Carolina Custom Surfaces we’re going to give us the island for free (presumably so they didn’t have to keep throwing money down the drain cutting island tops to our specific dimensions for them to keep getting sent back) and decided to just deal with it - we couldn’t take anymore time off of work. Three weeks later we learn that Carolina Custom Surfaces LIED and are NOT going to give us the island for free, only going to give us a measly $500 off. Had we known that, we would have sent the island back and made CCS GET IT RIGHT like we deserved. I won’t even get into how the countertop isn’t sealed properly so that dirt has gotten into divots in the quartz and is now there permanently. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. When you spend $7,500+ on redoing your kitchen counters, you expect to be happy with the results. We definitely cannot say we are happy and I will make sure ANYONE and EVERYONE that I interact with or asks for recommendations knows of our story. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Overall, the counter-top product itself was good, but there were some issues with the installation process. My biggest issue was that it seems that CCS expects other contractors to come in behind them to put the finishing touches on the install. For example, CCS does not caulk the counter-top to the wall, and so that is something that you have to be prepared to complete (or have completed) after they leave. Additionally, even if you purchase the sink from CCS, it does not come with a drain (just a hole in the bottom) because there is an expectation that a plumbing contractor will install that portion of the sink. I understood that CCS does not do any plumbing work, but the entire sink should come with the deal if you are purchasing the sink from CCS. My only other significant issue with install was the failure to line up the hole in the back-splash with the hole in the wall for an electrical outlet that had previously been installed in the old back-splash. Overall, not a horrible experience, but just know that the project will not be turn-key and will either require additional work on your part or additional contractors to complete the job.

My husband and I have used CCS several times over the years for various countertop needs. They have always been very helpful, even on the small projects. Their staff takes the time to educate each customer about the different products they offer so the customer can determine what product best suits their needs and budget. We look forward to using CCS in the future for other remodeling projects!

Walked in to take a look at some granite to get an idea of a color we would like. The lady at the front was very uncooperative and hateful, so we went to Amanzi instead. Night and day difference, Amanzi had nice friendly staff and were very helpful. I would not buy anything from Carolina Custom Surfaces for the mere fact that the customer service is piss poor.

My husband and I began looking for kitchen countertops nearly two years ago. We had been to almost every fabricator in the triad (some more than once), and could not find what we were looking for in our price range. A friend recently referred us to Keith at CCS, and that is where we found our dream countertop. It took less than three weeks from the day we first set foot in the store to the day the countertops were installed.
