EDITED.I ordered a breakfast burrito. This is simply eggs and sausage thrown in between 6 tacos, not even breakfast tacos. It was served this way because I ordered a corn tortilla, specifically. Unfortunately the restaurant does not have burrito sized corn tortillas, which makes sense. The flavor was spot on, the owner was very communicative, and he helped to rectify the situation, I’ll be back.
The atmosphere was a little unique which added to the experience. Nice place for a good breakfast. Staff was ultra friendly and laid back. Crispy bacon makes this place standout as many breakfast places dont make their bacon crispy enough in my opinion. Pancakes were great and the French toast as well. Syrup was a little sweet but still really good.I oy snapped one pic of the bar but the patio looks cozy as well.
Absolutely love this location! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful! We had a horrible experience at the Early Bird Restaurant in Westminster off 120th just walking in the door, so we didnt dine there, but was extremely happy to see there was another location in the DTC area so we drove out, and it was well worth the drive! The selection of items available was perfect for my family that has food allergies and sensitivities. The Early Bird menu has Gluten-free dishes, vegetarian dishes, and comfort foods, no matter what your dietary needs are, youre sure to find something on the menu! The Johnny Cake (GF) waffle was quite tasty! The Landmark Early Bird Riser is definitely a must have! You can even ask for egg whites on any dish. Their fresh juices, smoothies and mimosas are amazingly good. The atmosphere was really nice, and they have outdoor dining that is partially shaded, so perfect on a sunny day! I highly recommend this location of the Early Bird Restaurant. We cant wait to go back and try more items!
By far my favorite breakfast restaurant in Denver. The service is impeccable-even when they are completely slammed. The food....always spot on. Today I was lazy and had my breakfast delivered. And although nothing beats Early Birds food being delivered straight from their kitchen to your table, I was impressed! No complaints.Thank you All for working so hard for US. )Love you guys!
Always delicious and always busy! You definitely have to try their chicken and waffles it is amazing! Great spot for fashion dining or a brunch with friends.
This place was awesome! They have gluten free and vegan options. They were very helpful and accommodating with my wifes various food allergies. The food was excellent. The smoothies are amazing! The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. They have booths, bar seating, and tables and chairs.
This place is AMAZING. We were here on vacation and ended up eating here 3 times and each time was just amazing as the first. The pancakes, 120th and the smoothies were our favorites. Thecappuccinos are also delicious. I love that they have almond milk as an option. Will definitely be back next time we are in town.
Came with my sons hockey team, they had a separate room available for them. Offered the boys 2 choices that were the same price, which was perfect. The adults were left to themselves. For me its was good quality and tasty but too fancy. I like a good solid breakfast, not an arugula salad with balsamic vinaigrette on it. Not my style, but Im sure most probably love it.
Early Bird in LandmarkSpace: 6/10outdoor, indoor, bar sitting, and what looks like a room for group dining as well . It is clean (didn’t check the bathroom)Staff: 3/10 I called to get a new mug as there was a chip on the one handed to me the gentleman did not acknowledge the situation. He snatched the mug toss it and then got me a new oneFood: 4/10Chicken is crispy but needs seasoningPotatoes where coldSauce was creamy
Disappointing experience. We waited 30 minutes for a table and then we were sat for over 25 minutes with not one person stopping by our table. I get that places are short staffed but even a word of Ill be with you in a minute would have been nice. We finally got tired of waiting and decided to leave. When we got up to leave the person who sat us said Thank you. My reply was that we didnt get served and we got tired of waiting and we were leaving. He didnt say one word and let us walk out without even an Im sorry. I have heard of others having similar experiences on the fb Denver Foodie group but today was our 10 year anniversary and we thought we would give it a try. Sad that we didnt even get to eat. We were so hungry by the time we left, we ended up driving through Wendys :(
The breakfast was served cold. I ordered eggs Benedict. The biscuit had no flavor and the hollandaise sauce was lumpy. The restroom smelt worse than an outhouse and it was very dirty. Worst breakfast I have ever had.
The food was very good and the staff were nice and did their best to get things to you quickly. Overall good experience
If you like salt free breakfast burritos with no flavor green Chile and a $4 cup of coffee served cold, come here. Its not $50 a person. stupid google.
Delicious food! Delightful patio seating! Outstanding service! We were there for a business lunch meeting. I will bring my family for a wonderful breakfast!!
Waited 40 minutes after being sat and our waitress never came to take our order. She took the order of all the tables around us but ignored us. When we went to tell the hostesses he offered an apology but was happy to let us leave. We were not rude but very sick of waiting… even after many attempts to get our waitress attention
Came here for brunch on a Sunday so we could understand the 45 minute wait time. We patiently waited outside until we received a text saying our table was ready. Our server was slow throughout the whole experience and spilled water on multiple people at my table. We all ordered soon after we sat down as it was about 12:00pm and we hadn’t eaten yet. It took at least an HOUR for our food to come out and it didn’t even come out all together. While we were waiting we noticed the restaurant had started to die down and saw other groups receive food before us even though they were seated after us. Not to mention the $15 price tag for basic breakfast foods turned us off a bit.The only saving grace was that the food that we had paid too much and patiently waited so long for actually tasted decent. Overall a bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Love this place! My all time favorite brunch spot to go, and the best dang bloody Mary youve ever had in Denver is here! Its located in a nice quiet area, the only ruckus is from the many other happy patrons. Worth a visit if breakfast food is your jam, whether youre visiting from out of town or a native!
This place is fabtaric and I honestly do not understand the negative reviews at all.The server was amazing even tho he was running around and sometimes you just had to wait a minute or 2 for him to get to you ( OMG WHAT HORROR ).The food is absolutely top notch and the drinks were fantastic. Great atmosphere and I will tell you it’s great and loud! Like a brunch place should be.
They say the early bird gets the worm, and I guess I was the earliest bird they ever had. I dont know if I got them here. Id be mad, but the eggs and sausages they had out back were still good after a few hours
Great place for a weekend brunch. The drinks they have are pretty good and they have a stronger pour. Fun atmosphere in the place with interesting decor and tables as well as interesting wall paintings that fit the theme. The service was good too, they were ery attentive and we didnt have to wait much. The best part about this place actually is the wait. They have a lot of space so you dont have to wait in line to get a table. The food was decent. Not the best but not the worst, though I only got to try two things on the menu. I would recommend and I will be coming back!
Wonderful place to sit on the patio…which you will be doing quite a lot.My last two visits (one Pre-covid one today) had the same result, wait staff failed to visit our table and manager / owner seemed indifferent. Both times we were seated, given water, waited 20 minutes and were never spoken to the entire time. Manager guy could not have cared less when we left. Good riddance
A couple of things bothered me here. One...it was so loud that you practically had to yell back and forth in order to have a conversation. There was no music playing at all but all acoustically reflective surfaces surrounding you. Acoustic baffling will remedy this.b Second...a waitress took a syrup dispenser we had used and gave it to another table to use. In the pre-covid world that may have been acceptable but now? No. It was actually setting right next to (and touching) my coffee cup which I had drank from.Otherwise the food and prices and service were good.
I dont understand how this place has a 4 star rating, I guess Coloradoans are overly nice. Waitstaff is awful, I had to flag down our waiter after sitting for 20 minutes so she could take our order and flag her down again after half an hour so we could pay. She barely even acknowledged us while we were there and would only come by to grab out payment or food without speaking to us.Food was way more expensive then Id have expected while only being decent. Dont waste your time here
A varied menu, but with few offerings that did not appear to be highly spiced. Service was pleasant, but slow. Generous portions. Coffee was mediocre, and the only tea available was Earl Grey, Green and chamomile. The prices were probably commensurate with the neighborhood, but more than I really planned for a breakfast.
Spectacular! We really loved the food, service and atmosphere at this family owned chef driven breakfast restaurant. They have a sous chef on all the time (not common) with a chef who is also vigilant about the quality of the food. The menu is great for any foodie. They also serve dinner Thursday through Saturday if you arent a breakfast person. I dont know these folks and I dont review every restaurant I go to but this experience was worth telling people about.
The chicken and waffles was pretty great, it comes with bunch of delicious gravy and is made with chicken thighs instead of breasts. The berry smoothie was also great, I subbed soy milk instead of yogurt. For some reason the kitchen didn’t get my order the first time the server sent it through, so I was waiting for maybe 15-20 minutes to get it, but she comped me the smoothie to make up for it. Good customer service.
Location great. Food and service....not so much.
Service was slow. Im usually patient when a restaurant is extremely busy. However, I expect my server to ask if I need salt, pepper and condiments when my order arrived. That was not the case. I had to flag down staff for these basic essentials and wait for the staff member to cater to the needs of their actual diners before my request was fulfilled. Good service, in my experience, is when waitstaff anticipates the essential needs of the customer.
When we first walked, we were the second group in line. They placed us next to the restrooms (which the odor was very strong) and our waitress served the group of males immediately after they sat down, even though they were in line behind us... We waited 30 minutes to get our order taken and waited 10 minutes to get our beverages. When we finally received our meals, they werent in the quality they usually are. My plate was drenched in melted butter and my sisters food was incorrect. We felt very discriminated against (we were the only people of color there) and the service wasnt great, the waitress didnt give attention to detail nor did she have a friendly demeanor. Thanks Carly
One of the worst experiences I’ve had. Waitress got us waters, took our orders and never spoke to us again. Every table before and after us received their food and refills. The waitress checked on everyone except us, saw our drinks empty and us waiting to talk to her and she walks past us on her phone. Manager gave the excuse that their internet was out so the ticket may have been lost but that doesn’t explain the terrible service or why we were treated like we didn’t exist. Please don’t waste your time like I didn’t.
The location is great. However the restaurant is dirty. We were first breakfast customers and the floor obviously was not swept and mopped from the day before. Sunny side eggs were overcooked. Atmosphere is nice. The need to take care of the basics to get more than 2 stars.
Let me open by saying it was the first week of 100% capacity seating. The manager is a good guy who is simultaneously greeting customers, training hostess’ with that deer in the headlights look, seating the bar area and managing reservations. We were seated in a smaller room in the middle rear of the restaurant. This room becomes a shouting match as each of the tables try’s to speak over the noise of an enclosed room. Our service was fine but you could tell the staff were all in the weeds. A good description is organized chaos. The food didn’t blow us away but it was exactly what we ordered and how we ordered it. I’m willing to wait a bit to let the staff adjust to life after Covid before moving the rating one way or the other.
Sadly we wont be back. Made a reservation for Sunday brunch for my family of 4. We were seated right away, ordered, then sat for an hour and waited for our food. During this time they opened the double doors and let in the 35 degree weather right next to us, snow was still on the ground outside. We were freezing and had a baby at our table. When the food finally came it was cold, the eggs Benedict tasted like it was sitting out and curdled, the spinach was from a can and wilted. The manager offered us free mimosas which we declined because we were there with 2 small children. He did not offer to comp the cold meal nor did he offer any real solution. He was rushing around the restaurant pretending to be busy the whole time, but not actually helping any of his staff or kitchen crew with the issues they were having. Out of the 15 tables near us only 4 had food during our 2 hour meal. Poor management will be the downfall of this quaint, cute spot.
The absolute WORST breakfast in town. Disgusting food. Multiple people returned thier food while I was there. Bacon was fatty in soggy. French toast was inedible amd sour tasting. Brought me coffee with no cream. Brought French toast with no syrup. Coffee was bitter.Had to chase down the waitress to pay my bill and when I said I had been waiting to pay for too long, she said, Then dont come back! This place should be out of business. So many better options in the area.
Nice place, friendly staff. Good size portions. Great food.
I dont usually leave reviews but this one is well-deserved. Our party had a reservation for 11:30 on Sunday. We were not seated until after 12:00. We ordered our meals and 3 drinks at about 12:15-12:30. Our food came out before our drinks. We had to ask for our drinks again after our meals came out. 2 of the people who ordered drinks were completely done with their meals before their drinks came out. Several meals were cold. The whole time, there was zero effort on anybodys part to communicate with us about why everything was taking so long. When we raised our concerns about the wait, the drinks, and the cold meals, we were told that they were extremely busy and that they did us a favor by taking a reservation of our size because they dont usually even though there had never been any communication about the size of our party being a problem. Im giving two stars because they comped the 3 drinks and because the hot chicken biscuit was very good.
Love this place!!! Always a favorite!! Although I will say the service post pandemic is a little slower but overall will continue to come here. The breakfast burrito is always a favorite...the very berry smothie is a hit and the potatoes are always well seasoned!!!!
Great food! Great atmosphere! Super friendly waitstaff! Their blackberry mimosas are fabulous!!!
Enjoyed a very nice order of huevos rancheros.
Cant handle busy days. Staff was inatrentive. Manager was confrontational. Not a good experience, wont be back.
I have ordered food from them twice and each time they have gone above and beyond to make sure everything is gluten free for me. Their gluten free fried chicken is amazing! I will definitely be ordering again and dining in soon.
Nice atmosphere and location, mediocre food and service.
Food was fresh & delicious...bold Bloody Marys. Service was great as well.
The Earlybird restaurant is a great place for breakfast. I had a delicious meal of biscuit and gravy and was surprised to find an entire pork sausage meatball in the sausage gravy which was sprinkled with bacon bits and a green pepper for a topping. Great service and a very accommodating Manager made for a memorable meal.
This was our first visit and we will return many times, even though its out of our way. One of our party is gluten free and was totally delighted that the menu offers MANY choices for gf. Many new and interesting food combinations. Our server was Fernando and he was really very helpful, and steered us toward great choices. Large portions, good atmosphere, fresh juice, awesome menu and good service. No complaints at all!
This place was great! Service was fantastic. Somebody changed their drink order and I got a free Bloody Mary which was delicious out of it. Got a BLT with Avo and it was tasty. The guy making drinks was very friendly. Food was made quick and tasted great and of a high quality! Will be back!
Had reservations outdoors for 11am. Arrived about 5 minutes early, and told it would be a few. Which is standard. 15mins later we were offered a seat indoors since nobody was leaving anytime soon. Got seated, server took our order about 10 minutes later. Food arrived 45 minutes after. It was okay. But the 9% covid charge for no obvious precautions. A minimum 90% full restaurant, and servers removing their masks to talk really destroys the whole purpose of that surcharge. Wont return
Wide-ranging lunch and brunch menu. Bacon and pancakes were delicious. Efficient, detailed service from staff.
They dont seem to do well of the restaurant is full. It could be because of covid though.
Today is my brothers graduation from high school, we made a reservstion and were first to be seated and order food. Within in an hour of waiting for food other tables began to fill up, at the end of the hour all other graduating families eating together got there food and were still waiting an additional 15 min to be served. We have been waiting for a whole hour and people who barely arrived were already eating food. I almost passed I was so hungry. Ive never been to a restaurant that took 1hr 15min to serve 8 ppl when ppl arrived way later with groups of 15-20. My mom said something to the manager and he told her that she is not letting her know that weve been waiting since before these other ppl arrived because the kitchen has their way of doing things. Delicious food terrible service. And it took forever to get the check. We haf to go to the cashier as we were the last people to check out. It was a special time and ruined with excuses. I would go to the egg and i or the delectiable egg still in DTC by cuba cuba and illegal petes, that is were i went for my graduation brunch and would recommend either for special occassions!
Highlights (read: lowlights) - service was extremely slow and lackluster, potatoes were cold, biscuit was hard and room temperature, and the coffee was not good.To begin with, we had reserved a table (2people) for brunch using the OpenTable app. Table was confirmed. I arrived on time to the reservation, walk up to the hosts podium and inform the gentleman manning the podium that I have reserved a spot using OpenTable. He confirms my name and tells me that I have to understand there are other reservations ahead of me and that he has to seat them first. He informs me it will be an additional 25 minute wait.We chose to wait in the car since it was raining out. When we sit in the car, I receive a text informing me my table is ready. Then Early Bird calls me to tell me they have found a table for me. I informed the employee I was just inside and they told me it would be a 25 minute wait.....he aks of I still want the table. I do.We get seated, it takes a little bit for a server to come to us (they are at the end of their Sunday Brunch rush), as she serves us water she asks if we would like anything else to drink - we ask for coffee. She returns with warm-lukewarm coffee poured from the carafe/pitcher. We request cream for the coffee. She does not return for another ten minutes and we choose to grab the pre-packaged half &half from the vacant table across from us. When she finally remembers our previous request, she delivers a plate of half &half creamers, says sorry about that and walls off. By this point we would have liked refills on the coffees but she didnt give us the opportunity to even ask because she was so quick. She comes to check in with us a few minutes late and says, how is everything doing over here, your food should be out shortly. We say we would like more coffee and sugars....she comes back with hot coffee from a fresh carafe/pitcher.We ordered their biscuits and gravy which comes with potatoes, biscuit, 2eggs any style, bacon and sausage gravy, arugula and tomato.14minutes later, the food arrives. The potatoes (unseasoned, unaccompanied, chunks of potatoes) are room temperature. The only biscuit served is hard and cold on the outside, the inside is warm to the touch. The arugula and chunk of tomato feels out of place. The eggs are the only thing hot on the plate. The bacon and sausage gravy is served in a separate bowl to the side. The gravy is not thick and only tastes of pepper, milk, and flour. When the server returned to ask if everything was okay, I politely expressed the issues and concerns. I mentioned being confused over the delay for cold and plain food. She asked if we wanted the kitchen to prepare new orders. We informed her we would not wait an additional 30minutes. She said okay, sorry about that and walked off.I continuously got the impression they simply didnt care about the tables waiting on their food.Take: the staff, food, and experience did not reflect their current 4.1 rating. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will deter any of my friends from visiting as well.**There was also a leak front the sprinklers leaking into a bucket placed in the middle of their dining area**
Fantastic, fresh, creative, made from scratch breakfast and lunch. What could be better than that?! 😋
Pretty delicious breakfast. Oddly crunchy biscuits. Still good.
5 stars hands down! When every other breakfast place is packed with hr-2hr wait list, these guys are there to the rescue. When not accounting the wait everything else about these guys is above and beyond! You cant go wrong. Theres no way. The loaded waffles are DELICIOUS. the simple egg and toast breakfast not oily and PHENOMENAL! The burrito is a must! Coffee? Yes please! Dont take my word for it, but personally I have found my new it spot! But please dont all come, I love my new little secret too much.
Changing my review. I had rated early bird at 4 starts, but after my last couple visits, Ive been very disappointed. Three of us ordered avocado toast. I had to request more avocado as what they put in the toast was less than half an avocado. The bill was $38.00 for the three avocado toast with tip. That being said the eggs we cooked nicely but we were underwhelmed by portions and the services...
A little white boy that works there almost got beat up for smelling like wet dog and getting told about it, ugly punk
Very poor service. Not what I was used to at Early Bird pre pandemic. Worst part was the manager being condescending.
Great juice options for mimosas and lots of food options!
Honestly wouldn’t even give this place one star. Granted they were busy, the excuse of me having to wait 20 minutes for a smoothie being that “were busy and trying to figure things out” is pretty pathetic coming from the manager. Overall not a good experience for us and judging by the almost full plates from the surrounding empty tables, wasn’t for anyone else there.
Always a good place to get some breakfast. Lines to get in are usually tolerable and the food is generally worth the wait. Menu items have a healthyishflair to them!
Great service and great food. Loved it
Waiter was nice but way too slow. The food was not great at all. Left still hungry, the diet cokes were flat, and the worst part is this place is trying to use Covid to rip off people more. Now I know the pandemic hurt food industry places with dine in being shut down for a bit. However, if all other restaurants can still allow people to enjoy good food atmosphere and such being a chain or small business without charging a fee because Covid prices so can this place. I found the 9% subcharge for Covid quite appalling as its just a way to rob the wallet even more. This place was too expensive to begin with. No alcohol and just coffee and a breakfast burrito and pancakes came out to $50! I went to a different restaurant today and paid half the price for better quality of food. Not recommended and will not be back.
Good breakfast spot. Food was great but pricey for breakfast.
Just awful. Where do I start... we had a reservation for 11:15 but by 11:28 there still no tables available, so we asked to sit in the bar area. We sat for over 10 minutes before being greeted by a server. We had to ask the hostess to bring a server over. After ordering drinks, we noticed the sever poured our Colorado coffees with decaf after the regular ran out. We mentioned it to him upon delivery and he said “oh, that’s not what you wanted?... I didn’t want to run to the back” Unreal. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive and they forgot my side of bacon. During a trip the bathroom, we lost our appetite, it was SO unbelievably dirty... the food was okay, not great. It’s a very popular and loud place. I will not come back. Subpar food, terrible service, and dirty.
For the prices, the value did not match. The atmosphere is super cute and the service is impeccable. But we are here cause we came to eat food. I ordered 2 eggs over easy with corn fritters, chicken sausage and a cheddar biscuit. Eggs were done well, bravo to that cook. The presentation turned me off right away. The fritters (hush puppies) were floating around on the plate. Maybe put them in a cone vessel with parchment paper. Or just a boat to contain them. Second the mini chicken sausage link was cut in half as if doing me a favor. Why can’t you just give me 2 links, like a normal person? Why cut 1 link to TRY and trick my mind like I’m getting something special. I feel like you won’t lose cost with the supply of 2 sausages for your paying guest? That’s a question. Cheddar biscuit, dry. Old. It was HUGE and not served with butter or jam which I needed to ask for. Strange there isnt any on the table for a being a brunch place. Also, your doll house salt and pepper shakers are sad. That must be annoying for your servers to fill all the time. But also provide adults with adult size things. I know you have it in you. That dry cheddar biscuit...
Poor food experience: poached eggs were hard poached, coffee latte was not a coffee latte, overall ambiance isnt appealing. Not coming back.
Food was ok for the price! Wait time is long - it took us 55mins to get our food. I asked for substitution on Front Range and she warned me it can add 5-7 minutes. I was ok with that. But no food until 55 mins. After that waited another 10 to just get the bill.Visit when you have lots of time to spare.Food - GoodService - Not so much
We have been 2 times and left unimpressed each. I had a breakfast burrito. Eggs inside were great. Potatoes on the side were the most boring Ive had in a long time. Didnt like the 6% covid fee either. Well try it again next year.
Delicious food, fresh looking menu items. My husband had the breakfast burrito and I had the creme Brule French toast. Both were great. Its a little pricey but we werent disappointed.
