Good turtle sundae but not great. I think Culvers is about as good and costs less. Drive thru took forever, girl doesn’t take money while also taking orders like most places. Ignore the intolerant review from Magoo

Smiling and competent personnel and the usual fabulous Oberweis ice cream. They even thought of filling two bags with ice so I could bring some ice cream the long drive home. Great job ladies!

Dont know about the rest of the state or country but in the Chicago area, Oberweis is the undisputed emperor of ice cream.When Im in the mood for some superior quality ice cream, this has always been my go-to place. Im well aware that a lot of people say theyre expensive and indeed they are but youre paying for some of the finest quality ice cream available out there.Venue is always kept super clean, customer service is always top notch and their ice cream is to die for. I commonly refer Oberweis as the Ferrari of ice cream and it sort of is.The finest ice cream in the area is a less than 15 minute drive south west from the house. Upscale and a real treat, my kids are well worth it for a visit from time to time.

No fault of their own...but parking is a real pain! Their pickup parking was full and not from Oberweis customers! Again..not their fault. Ice cream was great though! They do a great business...maybe time for a larger store with more parking?

Ice cream was really delicious! It was my first time eating there and I was most definitely not disappointed! I love their chocolate milk so I had been anticipating my trip there, today I got to fulfill that desire with the Chocolate lovers dream. It was most definitely a dream come true overall.

Their tables are set up for chess so while we were eating our dessert my wife of 37 years💝 and I played our first game of chess in 25 years, she beat me, LOL! The Young Folks working there are very polite and there are many interesting customers that will interact with you if you so desire. Oberweis - Mmmmm their ice cream is sooo very good! But the company owner is an ACTIVE Republican and because of that, were his ice cream not so very good, I would not visit. Usually, I go out of my way to NOT support company owners who by affiliation or ideology, condone THE BIG LIE.

Oberweis is a fancy place for my family, if we go there it is for the best reasons.Its ice cream just screams delicious, and happiness.I definitely recommend this place.

BEWARE: Do not order from or go to this Oberweis. They didnt send items for 2 online orders and charged us for it without giving any refund. They promised to give us our order if we came in person. When we went there, the guy behind the counter was extremely rude - he accused us of trying to get free ice cream and just walked away to the backroom leaving us waiting for a long time and never returned. No one else came to help us - no manager even. It is truly the worst experience ever. There are better places for ice cream who actually care about the customer and dont cheat you when you order from them. If I could give Zero starts I would. Enter at your peril!!

Ordered a Banana Royal, asked for no chocolate and to substitute with strawberry. Got home, opened it up: Full of chocolate, totally inedible. If you dont want to make a substitution, just let me know and Ill order something else. Waste of time and money... Ill stick to Dairy Queen.

When you come into the shop it smells delicious. The ice cream is so smooth & milky so of course the milkshakes & ice cream cakes are delicious too. They also have a few other things aside from ice cream & I’m pretty sure they are great too.

Apparently their POS system adds extra charges to your order. I asked the manager a question about the charges and she appeared to have an attitude. We had the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk....WOW what a combination of flavors. My new favorite flavor. Next time were in the area we will have to stop in at Oberweise. Maybe Ill get 2 scoops instead of 1.

Over rated & over priced. Came here cause all the other ice cream places were closed. We placed our order and waited and waited, seem a few people coming in after us and they seem to have gotten their order before us then we finally we up to the counter and asked and yeah, our order seem to have gotten overlooked, ticket got lost or something who knows. So 45 minutes after we placed the order we finally manage to get served.Probably wont be returning any time soon or at all.

Never have been ask if I want to add a tip at a drive thru. Dont get me wrong, Im not cheap and I do tip when provided a service such table service. But at a drive thru handing me out a shake and a ice cream cone does not warrant a tip, and I was rather annoyed that the employee would actually ask for one! I wonder if management is aware of this?

My fiancee brought my daughter and I here for a treat on our visit to see him. Ive never had such delicious ice cream in my life. I do admit, I was a little sticker shocked at first, but the taste and quality of the ice cream made it well worth it. I wish I could remember the young mans name that helped us. Well I just came from a long day from Six Flags Great America and had a late lunch. I saw there was an Oberweis in Gurnee, IL and really had a craving for this delicious Ice Cream for desert hoping it would be the same in service and quality as the other locations in Chicago and suburbs. I have gone to mainly Skokie and Oak Park location and many others with both Great Service and great ice cream but this particular one kind of disappointed me in service and consistency of the ice cream I was expecting. Well one the server (I think her name was Cas on my receipt) took the order ok BUT it took them very long to deliver. I had the Banana Royal in traditional flavors and it took a while than usual. It was busy and saw some customers but it seemed that they were getting there orders of ice cream faster than my own order. I finally got my order just to notice my Banana Royal was NOT as big as I usually get it compared to Oak Park Location and Skokie as well as the others! This was the 1st time I notice the Banana Royal so small in size. I would recommend to have the service more attentive as well as the consistency of what is being served. I still would go to Oberweis however I would think twice if i had to go to this location with somewhat poor service and low consistency of the ice cream order I saw on the menu. i still like Oberweis but I would go to this Parlor last if not avoid it.

Delicious ice cream

This place is decent to get ice cream. The place gets packed on weekends but the staff seems well trained to handle the surge. The restrooms do need updating, I found them a bit disgusting. Theyre clean but look old. No amount of cleaning will fix that. They need to be redone completely. The ice cream is good tasting. I wouldnt say best in town, but its definitely tasty. They also have chess board on tables which makes it entertaining to dine in.

Dont have one close to home so whenever I see one I have to stop through.

I signed up for delivery service. First week of service the delivery didnt even come. Next 2 weeks they were completed correctly. The last 2 weeks items were missing with a tag saying that they were out of stock. Items (milk) were delivered much warmer than room temp. Tried to cancel online but there is no option, only contact for more options. I sent an email (to the provided email address) explaing my issues and that I wanted to cancel. Now this week I get an email for an order that is schedualed for tomorrow. So they obviously didnt cancel my recurring order. Product is maybe slightly better than regular milk but if you were to swap bottles nobody would know the difference. Not worth the hassle or cost.

The only ice cream place I know that has a drive-through. I had the soft serve, which tasted like yummy sweet milk (didn’t taste chemically or artificial) and my daughter had the mint chip ice cream (which I would recommend). They also sell frozen treats like ice cream cakes.

From West Coast so it was unusual to see the person in front of us drop off glass milk containers in a crate and pick up more to take home. Really really good mango smoothies. My wife and I find ourselves stopping in frequently. Very fast and polite service, along with a quality product. Will continue to stop in for the smoothies and look forward to trying other items on the menu.

This must have been the most overpriced horrible tasting iced latte I have ever consumed. Never again! The only reason I give 2 stars are the people working there were nice and professional.

I was in the area for a Navy boot camp graduation and was looking for a great ice cream experience. I Googled best ice cream and was led to Oberweis Dairy. I had a waffle cone with strawberry ice cream. This left an aftertaste in my mouth like the ice cream was sour or the waffle cone had some sour/bitter taste to it. I really couldnt distinguish whether the taste was the ice cream or the cone, but it wasnt pleasant. Oberweis Dairy does not compare to Brusters Real Ice Cream or Dairy Cream. I will have to say, I will not be back.

My husband and I come here all the time - unfortunately won’t be back. Just went through the drive through and NONE of the employees are wearing gloves. I asked the male at the window if anyone was after seeing multiple people walk by without gloves touching their clothes/registers/money/headsets and his response was “no we are not.” At a time like this, every extra precaution is crucial. Attempted to support a local business but drove away.
