Rick was a great sales guy I just wish he was more upfront about the delivery date. If you purchase a set that’s in stock it’s no guarantee that it will be in stock when you want it delivered. For example, if I purchase the set that’s in stock today 10/2 and want it delivered 10/16 it’s possible that it won’t be in stock because if someone come in on 10/4 and want the same set delivered on 10/6 they will get the set instead. I’m happy the lady who was checking me out made me aware. The manager told me that once you pay for the set it’s holding your place in line to get it next even though you could end up not getting it due to the fact that someone wants it sooner then you.

Very unprofessional and unimpressive service. I ordered a Denali 7 pc bedroom set from March this year. I was told that the specific set would be delay as the manufacturer is out of stock. I had to call back August to find out that there is still none in still —- NO ONE CALLED ME. After the discussion with a rep I was offered the option to have the pieces be delivered in portion to which I said no. I was told that some pieces would be sent in Sept and the remainder the first week of October.When the delivery guys came on Oct 2, only to be told there is still no Chest nor Bed frame, I WAS SO ANNOYED since I was told everything would be delivered on this trip.I was then told by a rep on the phone who was called by the delivery guy the last the next date for the remaining pieces would be December.THIS IS THE WORSE SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED even the Caribbean Islands have better service than this.

Sales person wrote a wrong item on the sales order, received a ladder instead of staircase. Was told by sales staircase is due in a month. He laughed stating for the mean time he can climb through a side. Knowingly that is a safety hazard for a child climbing as well for the child ok the bottom of bunk bed. 45 days after my purchase I get the wrong item shipped and customer service and sales manager state now I have to pay 500 more for a staircase. Tried to cancel the order and get everything returned and they are unable to because items been in my home for a month, which I waited for a staircase! Dishonest, unprofessional expirience to say the least.

It was just ok, most furniture is not good quality. Prices are spenciveThe worst is how they sell you and promise something they dont have in stock, and they give you a date of delivery and then months after they tell you is going to take a few more weeks for delivery, and that is only an estimation not for sure.To make it even worst I was told with 20% down they could place my order.Then she realized I had allready put more than the 20% down.What a bad dream. I will never buy from this company.

Dishonest, inattentive, unresourceful, unimpressive sales associates.Purchased a sofa online. My mother, a disabled veteran, was unable to make the trip to purchase in store. After the sofa was delivered to her residence my mother was dissatisfied with the size (it was much smaller than it appeared online).We went to the store to arrange an exchange, but instead she received criticism for purchasing online and expecting service in-store. Somehow, we looked past their initial insult, but became completely dismayed when the associate worked-up numbers that were just outright false. Whats worse is another sales associate watched the interaction and offered no support at all. It gave me the impression that their deceptive practices were ordinary.Having lost complete faith in their ability to conduct honest business respectfully, we ventured to Kenosha hoping to have a better experience, which we absolutely did; with minimal effort on our part. Shopping at the Kenosha location was easy and dignified.Our business will always go to those who serve; we will not purchase from this location in the future.

Purchased a living room sectional, was told there was a waiting period of about 2 months for it to be in stock due to Covid-- fair enough. December rolls around and my furniture is now available, but Im in the midst of quarantine so I notify them I cant accept it for just a few more days, was told it was fine. I call back a few days later to schedule my delivery and am told I now have to wait until March 2021. Mind you the couch is paid in full (has been since the day I purchased it) and not once was I advised I would need to wait 3 more months if I couldnt accept the delivery because of quarantine. At this rate Im being penalized for doing the right thing and not endangering the health of the delivery workers. Absurd.

I have really had a heck of a time. Ordered 17 pieces of furniture and from the order process to the delivery it has been a struggle. I have been working with the store manager and my salesmen. They share different things with me. My Brittany dining room set is flawed in many places on the wood and I was advised customer service was going to call me. I received no call or VM even though they advised a Stephanie with no extension called me and left a message. I even rechecked my call log nothing. Now I have been advised to be on the look out for there call. I am busy too. I would be cautious working with them especially if you do not live near by. Honestly this has been one problem after the other. I was going to order more but have changed my mind to have piece of mind.

Great looking store both in & out. However they dont have many sales in my opinion and delivery items are timely the salesman stated due to Covid. Its a pricey store. I wish they had not of closed down the Waukegan location, they always had frequent sales!

They didnt do anything about the broken dresser that we brought to their attention because its past 3 days. They didnt even notify us of the 3 day rule either so how could we have known? The manager then came up and said its a manufacturer problem and theyre going to fix it. Turns out they cant fix it and theyll give us a $100 gift certificate. Still waiting on that by the way. So now we have to waste our time looking for an item we dont need and probably spending more money on an unnecessary furniture item. Its unprofessional to lie and say that youll fix it just to save money. Its bad customer service. Go somewhere else that actually keeps their promises.

People are saying that they are followed around when i read reviews but I LOVE having associates available! I stopped by The Room Place on 11/12/19. I walked around the store for about 20 minutes; which gave me time to decide on what I wanted to purchase. Rick asked me if I needed help and showed him what I wanted. Rick was very helpful and courteous. The manager Sean “hopefully I spelled his name right” was very helpful and courteous. I received a awesome deal on the items I purchased. The staff there are professional, kind and courteous. I will be back soon! Thank you Again!!

My wife and I came into The Room Place located in Gurnee Mills looking for a King sized mattress. We were immediately greeted by Luis, who was warm and friendly. He not only helped us choose a mattress that fit our lifestyles, but took the time to help us understand which mattress would be the most beneficial to us. Luis did not try to up-sell us, and was not your “typical, pushy salesman”. We will most definitely be coming back to this location and are looking forward to working with Luis again! I was at the Room Place in Gurnee for its grand opening and was highly satisfied with my entire experience! The service was great; my sales person, Suzy, was so helpful and friendly! She didnt put too much pressure on but still answered all our questions and listened to what we wanted. We got a great deal on the furniture we purchased and it was delivered to our home just a week later! I love the quality and look of the furniture and I will definitely be going back in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great service, good deals and even better service!!

Store and sales rep are good. Giving 4 stars for 2 reason.1. They sent coupon which as literally not valid for 99% of the stuff in the store.2. Cashier took 30 minutes to process the order. She was high school student and was on phone texting and getting instructions on how to do it.

Even with the Labor Day deals or discounts the furniture is way overpriced. Its difficult enough trying to figure out what bedroom or living room set you desire, how many pieces, should you buy the complete set or just a few items; the salespeople dont make it easier. They follow you around the store waiting to answer questions you probably dont have. Be prepared to spend a small fortune here. The quality of dressers, chests, and or bedside tables is mediocre at best. Ive put a lot of furniture together, no way Id spend what theyre asking for pieces in my bedroom. However they do keep the store very pretty and appealing. Happy shopping.

Stopped in to look around for an accent chair with my kids and brushed the salesman off as one typically does when you first walk in the door and get bombarded. The salesman continued to follow us around as if we were a bother and to watch us it was extremely off putting, if I were in need of finding help Im a big boy I can locate a salesman!

I have to say. Rick was friendly. Easy to work with. He listened and made sure to figure out what we needed. Thw customer service was great. Makena also was very customer service driven. Both were willing to work with my budget and made it happen. Makena went the extra mile to contact her manager and see what could be done. The experience was a good one. I dont know if it was just this location or if all RoomPlace locations are the same but I selected Furniture and regretted it every step of the way. The service was annoying to deal with.I was forced to select something just because I showed interest but when I got home and measured, it would not work. At home, I saw ads with deals I was not offered, the website offered me a coupon and let me select pieces without hassle. But since I already had money down, I had to go back to the same location.I went back to select new furniture, was asking another sales person to show me some options and just because I was standing in front of a piece, he told me that was the only option, knowing they have a while room to show, SMH.When I told them I had to change my order, they forced me to work with the same sales person that I was already annoying at.The sales person was not knowledgeable, he kept confusing his policies with the last place he worked but he was better than the sales person that told me they had no options so I decided that I have no other options.I payed in payments until I was confident that was the furniture I wanted. There is no option to pay over the phone, had to be there to pay. At that point I was mad I didnt go to the room place by my house instead of the mall location.Maybe RoomPlace as a whole needs to update its business practices because I recommend to just look and buy on their website, its less of a hassle.
