Trying using my debit card both me and my husband to buy something first deny my card and then my husband I told the owners it was system but they refuse to care so we left and didn’t buy anything. It’s not our bank cause chase would’ve called us if our cards were decline.

Local supermarket with a decent selection at fair prices. Worth stopping by if youre in the neighborhood.

*WARNING* this place is only good for one thing and one thing only, toilet paper. Outside of that, this place is a dilapidated, overpriced supermarket with nothing but dirty dusty items on shelves that may or may not be held together with duct tape. The freezer and refrigerator aisle items are especially disgusting, as most items have a taste of the R134a refrigerant they use to try to maintain their aging,outdated freezers. The butter will taste like refrigerator. The milk will taste like refrigerator.... Anything from the freezer or refrigerator cases will taste like a stale musty refrigerator. During the pandemic, they also hiked the price of meats to about 12$ a pound for ground beef, and similar with poultry products. Its only been recently that they have lowered the price back to normal rates. The ONLY redeeming quality of this establishment, is the fine women who work at the front of the store daily as cashiers. They are polite and courteous. They all deserve a much better place to work in my opinion.Skip this place at all costs.

With all the gentrification happening in downtown Hackensack and the only supermarket around. They better step up their game or face competition. The quality of the fresh fruits is awful.

A bit pricey with certain products but a great place overall! They always have things and brands you seem to never see anymore and that are great! Cashiers are all polite, professional and very helpful! You can tell the staff is close and consider each other like family! They’ve all been there for lots of years! Been shopping at this ctown for minimal more than 17 years!!

C-Town is a great place to shop and pick up things you need if you cant make it to a bigger supermarket

I like their meats have a fresh butcher the stakes are always fresh and cut well the prices are reasonable they have everything from Spanish to English in an American selections always the best route from having to go all the way to the grocery store right along the way to my house and open pretty late never too many lines for checkout and can also grab smokes and Lottery as well

Great little neighborhood grocery store..nice selection of specialty hispanic groceries and international foods...prices were good..expiration dates good too. Store was clean...meat dept needs expansion, but overall I liked my shopping trip there. Was able to find my cow peas for my new years dinner!

Has a large variety of produce available, but I did buy a half gallon of ice cream and when I opened it at home, it looked like it had been thawed and refrozen multiple times. It had separated and crystallized in multiple layers. So I dont know if it was an isolated thing or if the whole frozen food section was rotten. Havent been back since

I must admit, this isnt my fav store for my own personal reasons but God knows they had everrrrrything i needed. Bigger stores are crowded, with necessities flying off the shelves. C-Town came thru in the clutch w/ this Corona foolishness we are encountering. I love them for being so culturally diversed with selections from seasonings, rice, veggies and protein. Thanks Ctown..no lines, no crowds..just simply shopping.

Do not shop here at this supermarket, CTown Hackensack location sells expired and rotten vegetables. Bought a ground turkey from here and ended up getting food poising a day later.

Its a supermarket, thats pretty well stocked. And meats are fresh. They have 99% of what youre looking for.

Selection is unusual, if you want Hispanic foods check it out. Prices are sometimes great and sometimes high. Small vegetable and meat sections, it is mostly processed food here.

Check the expiration dates on all can goods, pasta, and frozen foods... Ive been there twice and some products were expired.. the first incident I brought it to the managers attention and then it happened again when I went back a month later

I love C- Town I can get all my goods there.

Ctown is no longer the Ctown of my childhood I used to love going there it was so nice and friendly now its like no one doesnt even want to help you find anything. Its way too overpriced and thats what they chose to do to their own people. It is conveniently located in the middle of town and close to public transportation.

This place doesnt even deserve one star. The owner is very rude i have never encountered someone as rude as him. I went to return something because it was EXPIRED and instead of apologizing he began to yell at me and accused me of lieing. Even though i bought the receipt which showed i had bought it there. If you dont know how to treat people than why even bother owning a business. I will surely never come back to this disgusting place again.
