If i could give a ZERO i would. I wanted tongive the place the benefit of the doubt but honestly it was not worth it. To begin, i have called the place before closing several times and no answere. Straight to voicemail. Twice i left a voice mail and never got a return call. I finally got to stop at the walmart. Immidiatly after telling the lady ( darkn hair, dark complexion) that i had been trying to get someone over the phone, she got a huuuge ATTITUDE. She replied to me, shaking her head and with a nasty attitude, we answere all our calls, so i dont know what to tell you! I mean that answere tells it all. They act like we owe them something. The other older lady literally stood there and argued with me, that i should not get second opinions from other eye doctors. To mske the long story short. I went for an eye exam. My eyes needed prescription. Eye doctor told me she could not put allnthe prescription at once because my eye would not be able to adapt quickly. It practically be too much all at once. She told me to wear my glasses all day. To drive, read, all of it. Well, i can not see anymore. I can not read anything. So i asked another eye doctor. He looked at my glasses put them up to his eyes and said, these are not reading glasses. Also he said there was no such thing as saying your eye can not get all the prescription. So now im stuck with not knowing who is telling truth. What i do know its that many ppl i know said the walmart vision center was TRASH. Sadly after i had gone already. I also know the people working there are some rude, nasty, individuals. When i was walking out, i grabbed four face coverings at the entrance of the vision center. She stopped me, looked at me and said YOU CANT HAVE THOSE! THEY ARE FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY! I grabbed them, looked at her and said 200 dollars says im a customer!Ppl, please take your needs somewhere you will be appreciated and treat you with respect.
Cindy helped me over the phone today and it was an absolute pleasure speaking with her. She was knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. We have our elderly mother in law living in our home right now because we feel it is the safest option during the covid pandemic. We have been limiting outings and interactions in efforts to keep her safe. Cindy helped me with my prescription and arranged a home delivery so that I do not even need to come through the store. I truly appreciate her thoughtfulness. She goes the extra mile to keep patients and the vision center team safe and that means so much. Thank you again Cindy. Hope you all stay safe and well.
I took my step mother in to get an exam and look at some new glasses. The girls out front were wonderful and just so welcoming. They were so accommodating to her and so helpful. The doctor was wonderful. Overall it was a great experience, the thing that seemed odd to me was the girl in the back seemed like she was reading from a script. It was very fake and noticeably rehearsed.
I have been here two times for my first initial exam in 10+ years and a yearly follow up. I am always met with warm smiles and great customer service. They answer any questions I have and explain every option for vision correction. Please keep doing what you all are doing and I’m a customer for life
Very happy with my glasses and cost so much less than what I used to pay and ....prescription is finally right-I can finally read fine print! Highly recommend. I’ll never go back to the chain that’s been charging too much and not even giving me glasses that worked.
I called to see if they had my contacts and I was told yes I just needed to come in. I live about 40 minutes away so I drove there to get a lady that was rude and says you called earlier I said yes I did she says you can order them they will be here in one week. I said well I already ordered from 1800contacts I was told on the phone I could come get a box. She said if you were our patient I could give you a trial but since your not you have to order them. I was not told this before I took the drive. I feel you do not tell someone they can get them then when you get there it’s a different story.
I came to this doctor because I don’t have eye insurance and this office was so much more affordable. My first appointment, I had been having a terrible day, but I left with a smile on my face. The doctor was so kind and made me laugh. He was very kind and gave me more information than I had ever received from my previous eye doctor that was three times as expensive. Also, he was determined to help me find contacts that were comfortable to me and didn’t make me feel like a burden when I had to try three different kinds. I finally found a brand that are comfortable after not being able to wear contacts regularly for a couple of years now! The office staff are also very friendly. All of them have been so patient with me through all of my questions and multiple visits into their office. Very glad I made the switch to this office!
I will never go back to my old eye Dr. The Dr. at the Hagerstown location is AWESOME! Very knowledgeable and pleasant!
BEST eye exam EVER! Dr was hands down best, most interesting and knowledgeable eye dr ive ever been to. the strive for 5 staff was also amazing!
First time visit Vision Centre at Wal-Mart Hagerstown. Doctor Gerard very kind and explain clearly. We are there to make contact lenses for my daughter. We are just moved to this country we dont know the procedure to order the contact lenses. My daughter use to contact lenses was year ago. Doctor really check detail on my daughter. The staff suck, staff service not help. I come back to order the contact lenses after doctor give the sample of the contact lenses. The staff cant find my daughter name on they are system and keep told me we never come at there. They are not try find another way how to find my daughter name. I told the staff can try another formation like date of birth so she can find my daughter information and again she keep telling me we never come there. I saw the photo of prescription for glasses of my daughter and we found they are have typo name of my daughter. After we order when time to collect the contact lenses I saw on the paymen receipt still put wrong spelling my daughters name and I told the staff please make correction on they are system for my daughter name, speechless she only shake her head and I wait she not do anything and she said ok thats all, all good. Good doctor I think better have good service staff too. The initial of the staff is CHY.
