Joey V was excellent! He was very helpful, personable and great to work with. Thank you Joey! I just purchased a Mazda Cx-5 this week and was happy with the experience at Hamden Mazda. David Shea
Strongly advise against giving them your time or money. Very predatory behavior for very lackluster customer service and a ridiculous wait time. Total swindlers on their initial offer, used car manager giving me an appraisal on my current vehicle that was off by thousands of dollars. I blatantly rejected his figures for him to try to convince me that he was giving me an honest and fair appraisal. Apparently the average customer must be stupid but I’m not, again rejecting his spiel and getting up to leave. Being asked to wait a few moments for him to return with the exact figures I should’ve been presented with the first time if it was an honest and fair appraisal. Very turned off by the adversarial and predatory approach by that “manager” and I wish I hadn’t given them prior business. Won’t even return my fiancé’s Mazda here for future service we will go elsewhere. Thanks Hamden Mazda!
I recently visited Hamden Mazda to check out a CX-30, and given the nature of the inventory issues with the car industry currently, I called ahead to see if they had one in stock. I had a 12pm appointment and was greeted by Alen Hamza. I was able to get into a vehicle and test drive, as well as receive additional info and features for this particular vehicle. Allen was knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and provided a great all around experience. The model I was interested in was not available, but I was informed it was on the way. Allen sent me an update immediately upon its arrival, always keeping me updated. I did end up getting the CX-30, and am extremely pleased with the vehicle. Allen also took extra time to get me setup, answering all of my questions, going through all the safety features, as well as assist with setting up the Mazda App. If you are looking into a Mazda vehicle I would definitely recommend asking for Alen Hamza. He was very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, informative, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Alen.
My experience at Hamden auto was hassle free. Sara and hogan were very helpful when it came to financing my new car. Highly recommend them for future inquiries. Fast and efficient.
Joe V. was a very professional salesman. He was very knowledgeable about the cars and was very helpful. We will definitely use him again in the future and we would definitely highly recommend him to our friends and family.
Had a nice experience with Ryan. Very personable and we struck a decent deal in the midst of the shortages. I was a returning customer.
Gene Footman was great at assisting me with My new equinox. He answered what ever questions are concerns I had. He also helped me move all my things from my old car to the new one. Thanx Gene.
Excellent experience at Hamden, so happy with my car! The staff here was very informative and friendly, Gene Footman was our sales associate he listened to all our concerns and answered all questions and Sara Chama in finance described all options clearly and was even kind enough to advise us on great rate and deal I highly recommend this dealership and these two especially! Thanks Hamden Mazda!
Joe was fantastic! He reminded me of my good buddy from prep school back in 1989!! What a fantastic attitude and great hair as well!!! If you need anything go see zermin and Joe for the beat service and deals money can buy!!
Found a preowned car at Hamden Mazda. It looked great except for the premium sound system, which didn’t work. Was told they would fix it and I should come back. I asked twice to put down a deposit to hold the car, both times was told it wouldn’t be necessary. Settled on a price and was told to contact my insurance company and to get a certified check from my bank. I let the salesman know I was taking a personal day from work for the drive to the dealership and would be there to buy the car. All good until …Heading north the next day the salesman texted that the car had been sold for more than the price wed agreed to (seems pretty clear this is why they wouldn’t take a deposit). Hours and hours of wasted time, not to mention a burned a personal day.I’ll never go back to Hamden Mazda and, if asked, wouldn’t recommend anyone else go there either.
Great service. Joe very knowledgeable about the vehicle and the financing was easily accomished. Staff profesdional and helpful!
This was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I’ve ever had. Some of these reviews just don’t match the type of customer care we encountered. Gene Footman was our sales associate and not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, but honest and down to earth. We HIGHLY recommend working with Gene! We had a terrible experience at another dealership a few years ago which inclined us to have our guard up before going in. What a difference this was!! Sara Chama was another great help and worked to get us a better rate! Already passed along info to get friends and family into that dealership! Loving our new CX-5!!
Great place! Fair and friendly. Really went out of their way to help.
We have been bringing our 2 cars here for years and the service has always been very good. I was particularly impressed with my most recent visits with my 12 year old Mazda 6. Cody the service manager clearly explained and suggested the maintenance my car needed and I felt completely comfortable with the whole experience. I went back for another unrelated issue and again he easily explained what would be done and I was very pleased with the outcome. In addition the safety protocols in place at the present time are excellent. I would highly recommend bringing your car here for any type of service.
Kristian and john did an amazing job in the sales process! And sara chama was the finance manager on my deal and helped me get to where i want to be I had an amazing experience def recommend!!!
Stay away from this place. They had a vehicle advertised for one price but when I went to buy it, it suddenly increased by THOUSANDS more! Bottom line, I guess they get $3000 just to prep a vehicle. Lets see how they respond to this!
Mohamed At Hamden Mazda. Did a great job helping,me to fine my new car. Thanks Again.
Very unprofessional work environment, I was better off talking to a wall 🙄. Just highly highly do not recommend.
From Service - Briana, Sales - John Brandi Sales Manager -- Abe and Finance - Philip -- This by far was the best experience I have ever had buying a car....I have bought quite a few in my life!Brought my 2011 CX9 to get serviced and walked out leasing a 2021 Mazda CX5 and I could not be happier with the choice my salesman John showed me. He took his time with me and never once pushed me into a deal. Very patient and understanding.I cant wait to bring my car in for the first service in July to see Briana again!Thank you and would highly recommend this dealer over all of them in CT!
Great sales manager and team!
I am a Nissan Technician i work for Niissan and have a Datsun Z car but i love My Miata! I have a 2001 Miata with check engine light issues caused by a bad Engine computer and to replace the engine computer you have to get the lates part number and a new immobilizer unit immobilizer issues, i can not do this work because it requires the factory Mazda scan tool to get everything reprogrammed and initialized, keys registered ect..... I had bought a used computer on ebay because the one from Mazda is 1400 dollars, the used one did not work, they gave me an updated part number then i found and bought a remanufactured unit on ebay for much less. The lead technician was able to reprogram and configure the immobilizer and program both keys, my car is fixed! and as an added bonus it is no longer setting the trouble codes it was before. I would like to thank The fantastic and on point service provided by the service advisor Jonathan and the shop foreman, they know their cars and their customer service is what all dealer service dept should strive for. Thank you, Enrico DiGioia happy Partyka customer.
Recently leased a new Mazda from Partyka. The sales person, Trevauhn, and the sales manager, Abe, were a great team and the deal went very smoothly. Trevauhns product knowledge is outstanding, and Abe worked hard to see that the price was fair. The experience was better than I expected (which means better than most of my previous experiences at dealerships.
Please Read This ReviewThis is my second purchase (2021 Mazda CX-5) from Lee Partyka Mazda And I must Say I’m VERY HAPPY with my New Car. The experience is always Great everytime. I want to personally thank Izear (salesmen) and Philip (finance manager) for helping me yet again!! 😊 Not only did they help me to get a newer vehicle but they are also helping me in the long run meaning they lowered my interest rate crazy low oh my goodness Philip really helped me BIG TIME. One day I’ll be a home owner 🙌🏽 The reason why I’m saying this is because Izear and Philip are very passionate at what they do they actually care and that is what I love to see as a returning customer. So what are YOU waiting for Go to Lee Partyka Mazda and Ask for Izear Hogan then you’ll meet Philip 😃Also Briana She works at the service department I love seeing her she’s such a beautiful person keep being you sweetheart. Thank you Izear Philip and Briana 💕
Brought my 14 Mazda3 in for a warranty replacement of the infotainment screen. They ordered the part and when I came back for the installation, they said it would be 2hrs (which I knew it wouldnt take that long and it was just a time buffer), and it was done in about 45min. Briana the service rep was super kind. Pleasant to talk to!
Great car buying experience!! Everyone was super kind!!!
Absolutely amazing experience. We went here after a string of bad experiences with another Mazda dealership (after having been loyal customers there since 2013). We worked primarily with Adam, Eddy, and Jim although everyone there seemed exceedingly friendly and helpful. I jumped from a financed vehicle to a lease and the process was simply flawless and surprisingly easy. We will be going to Lee Partyka for all of our Mazda needs for the foreseeable future!
Never coming back here again. I highly recommend you get your parts and vehicle services elsewhere...
This dealer is stuck in the past, with stereotypical slimy car sales tactics. I visited on Friday, and the salesman was unable to provide me with a price, saying his manager would have to send it to me, and that I should bring the family back to see the car. The other car that I looked at the same day at a different dealer, the salesman was able to give me the out the door price within 5 minutes of me walking in the door. It is now Tuesday, and I still havent been sent a price. I am interested in the car, but will buy it from a dealer who is willing to be transparent about the price.
Excellent customer service
From the start - I was welcomed with warm, friendly smiles from all the workers at Partyka!!! I was there to originally buy out my lease but after much review, that wasnt the best option financially. I dealt with Jim during this time and with the amount of miles I put on my lease, I had gone way over them, he didnt feel comfortable putting me back in that vehicle.(no more warranties) He was patient, kind and very educated. We finally found the car for me and after going to the dealership three times, everything worked out! I had their dealer plate on my car so once everything was said and done, John B came to get the plate from me so I wouldnt have to go back a 4th time!! I spent a lot of time with John B as well. He was the kindest person. He was with me every time I came to the dealership and each time it was like we were old friends. He even helped clean out my car when switching to the new one, since I was on crutches. I will absolutely go back to Partyka for any of my car needs. The staff is excellent and I love my new CX-3!!!😁 THANK YOU JIM AND JOHN B!!!!
They over charge you
I purchased my new Mazda 3 2015 from this dealership. I have been a loyal customer by having every service performed at this dealership: every oil change, tire rotation, repair, and other maintenance. The staff has always been friendly and professional, so I didnt mind driving 40 min from my house to this dealership for assistance. On 5/25/2019, I went to have a regular oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately, the oil cap wasnt secured after service and leaked oil. I called Mazda on 5/28/019 when I realized there was a pool of oil on my garage floor. They had it towed and redid the oil. They refunded me for the tow, and gave a complimentary oil change with tire rotation, and another for oil change. At this point I was satisfied, they owned the mistake and created a resolution. On 5/23/2020, I went to have a regular oil change and tire rotation. On the invoice, they confirmed they changed the oil and performed a tire rotation moving the hybrid winter all season from front to back since it was spring and wouldnt need them in the front until winter arrived again for the next oil change/tire rotation. I didnt think to check to make sure the tires were rotated, I just trusted that the service was performed as agreed and expected. On 8/9/2020, I realized I had a nail in my front left tire. At this point I realized that the tires were never rotated on the appointment 5/23/2020, because the hybrid winter all season were still on the front. I called Mazda, and asked to speak with the service advisor that was assigned to me on 5/23/2020, I was told he wasnt available and would call back at his earliest convenience. I called back and asked to speak with the Service Manager and was told he was in a meeting, I agreed to call back later. At this point, I have lost complete confidence that this Service Center is actually servicing vehicles as agreed and promised. At this point, I am concerned that they arent changing my oil or performing other maintenance correctly. Unfortunately, given my prior experiences, I can no longer give my business to this location and will have to find another Mazda Dealership for servicing my vehicle.
Overall courteous and prompt service appointment. Beware of their air cabin filter fee. They wanted to charge me $70... $70! The filter cost $20 at Autozone and is a simple replace and install (find a YouTube video - you’ll laugh). When i questioned it he said it was because it’s “parts and labor”. The amount of “labor” you had to do was the same to check it in the first place and put it back. lol Insane.
Terrible sales manager, ruined my experience. Beware if you’re looking to shop here.I went into this dealer looking to shop around and inquire about their lease offers. At first I was helped by a very friendly and professional sales consultant named Trevaughn. But when it came to actually getting quotes, the experience went right down the drain. This is all thanks to the service manager. When I was about to leave, after Trevaughn had helpfully talked me through some quotes, he went and got the sales manager to see if he could help me better. He did not, quite the opposite. The sales manager immediately turned on the hard sell and was trying to get me to make my decision right on the spot. I explained that I wasn’t quite satisfied with the experience because I was looking for a more informative experience rather than being pressured into buying the first car that they showed me. The sales manager refused to apologize for or acknowledge my negative experience. He was very dismissive and arrogant, trying to tell me that he was good at his job and didn’t need feedback from a customer.Trevaughn was great, and I was seriously considering leasing a car, but the sales manger ruined my experience and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Best management ever!!!
Excellent customer service. The Body Shop is the best ever a perfect 10.
Dose a great job on my car. Just need to stop making the customer wait when they have appointments.
First impression is awesome I was able to go in the showroom to check out the mazda3, no one haggled me, the but the test drive brought on the hard sale, old school, that doesn t work on me tho
Dont really know where to start. I wanted to bring my RX-8 in to have all the oil cooler hoses replaced because 2 were leaking. I called to get a quote and I was told it would be 2 hours in labor only because I was supplying my own parts. However this seemed too good to be true because thats what a private garage would do it for if they were willing to work on my car, having been quoted this amount by a dealership was odd. So I called back to confirm the price and clear up any confusion. I told the same guy that gave me that quote that mine is a manual which has an additional line on the left side of the car (unlike the automatic version). He told me that it would be an extra hour of labor with that added on, totaling $390 in labor. I agreed and set an appointment, it was a fair price.I show up for my appointment after a 23 mile drive only to find out that the road is blocked off due to a gas leak and the police wouldnt let me through to drop off my car. Now I know this isnt Mazdas fault however to my surprise there were employees inside the building as I found out when I called to reschedule. I was shocked I didnt receive a phone call notifying me that I cannot get into the building. I asked why they didnt call and they claim they didnt have my number and proceeded to say they only have my home phone number. While I think that is bs because I called twice with my cell phone to make the appointment, it doesnt matter because nobody called the home phone anyway, so no effort was made to notify me. So I had to leave the car in a parking lot nearby for 3 days as I cannot drive it back with the oil leak.I finally showed up to my rescheduled appointment to be greeted with doubt by an employee (not my advisor). There seemed to be questions on whether or not we were on the same page, which was weird because everything was confirmed over the phone already. They proceeded to tell me that the price of $390 is not correct and they would charge 6 hours in labor to do both sides, even with the parts provided, so $780... Ridiculous. I responded by telling them I was already quoted $390 for the whole job, in which they said the employee I was talking to (I wont say his name here) was an employee for Chevy, which apparently makes it OK to not honor a quote already given. And I dont understand why a Chevy employee is giving me a quote for a job on a Mazda. Left with no choice because I cant drive it back, I just told them to do the side thats leaking for $390. Ill just have to do the other side myself. So now I am paying $390 for HALF of the job to be done. The car also wasnt ready on time but I wont go into detail on that as its to nobodys surprise that its late. The ONLY saving grace here was my advisor. She was very friendly/professional and seemed to merely just be the messenger of the bad news, cant really blame her for that. However this is my 2nd time bringing my RX-8 to this dealership and I seriously cant decide which experience I had was worse. Not recommended at all, they dont honor anything over the phone, they will try to scam every cent out of you for easy jobs - I can promise it doesnt take 6 hours to replace all the oil cooler lines in an RX-8, if youve taken off a wheel before, it should take 2-3 hours tops.So 2 stars for a job well done - well half done
Great customer service and clean
My family and I have used this dealership for decades. Bought my first car there in 1965. I always take my current Mazda there for service
Really disappointed ! I go all the way down and wanted to look at the car . They got my estimates and showed me a completely different car and told me that is what I ‘can’ get . Never go there again !Service associates were very professional though .
Very professional and they know their stuff
Seems to be run by kids
Wonderful Sales Manager and Sales Consultant!!
