DO NOT USE ADT! The entire process felt wrong. My wife and I simply wanted door and window alarms. The sales person on the phone made it nearly impossible to just get that so we agreed to windows and doors with the possibility of more when the installation guy came. At that time we asked for just doors/windows and they spent like an hour telling us how they couldnt remove the extra items as they are bunched together for discounts. So we ended up also getting a smoke detector, motion sensor, and a camera.Fast forward a few months later. The smoke detector failed to go off during an incident, the door sensors failed twice indicating, on 2-3 occasions the camera stopped recording, and the interior motion detector did not work. All the incidents required technicians and were documented.Since the products didnt work as intended we cancelled the services and requested a full refund under their 6 month guarantee. After numerous calls, we were initially denied a refund with no explaination why. It didnt stop there. Without permission they withdrew $800 and said we owed a remaining balance of $2,500 for the remainder of the 5 year contract.I ultimately had to send a letter to corporate detailing all the issues and dates that technicians tried to fix the problems. Finally they agreed to a full refund. Im now waiting for our full refund check which should be in the mail.Save yourself a headache and look elsewhere.*update - my wife just reminded me that intially they blamed one of the cameras not recording on our wifi connection. We ended up paying our internet provided to upgrade and relocate our router (verizon said the location and connection was fine). When the camera failed a second time, the adt technician let us know the internet connection was not a problem and that it was a known issue with the cameras.

Yesterday a friend called me. she recently experienced something traumatic in her life and had sought adt to feel more secure in her home. it seemed apparent that she was incentivized by her sales rep to give referrals. I told her that in fact i was interested in learning what new products they offered. I chair a referral organization and not only use local vendors but refer them.to make the story short the sales rep called me around 8pm this evening. He instantly starting talking without asking me if i was available. Consequently, I was entertaining right in the middle of dinner ( i shouldnt have answered). I explained to the sales person that I was in the middle of dinner but was interested. He told me the offer was time sensitive and continued with his sales pitch with no regard for my situation. I asked him if we could reschedule and before I could finish a sentence he hung up on me. I will not use the service. I felt bad about his reaction.

The system is great, whatever you don’t give them a credit card to keep on file. They ran my card automatically 3 months after the install for an amount that was never authorized by me.

I called ADT for security in my new home. I put a deposit for them to come to my house and explain how it works and the cost. My husband was not happy so we said we did not want the service. I was told that I would get the deposit back if we were not satisfied. Well 2 weeks after the cancellation the money had not been returned. I called many times stressing I did not receive the refund, I was told that it was returned the next day. NOPE!! Even faxed my bank statement to prove the money was not returned. Had to file a dispute with my bank, over a month later finally got my money. Bank said it is still not resolved. Smh. Completely dissatisfied would never recommend this company

This is the second home I have had ADT in in Dauphin County. In my current home, I just paid several hundred dollars to have a new system installed. Immediately after instal, I began receiving error messages from multiple sensors. When the system registers an error, it triggers the alarm. This usually happens several times a day and always happens at least once a few minutes to midnight. I called and their response was to mail me batteries (still in the mail, I guess) and that I would have to pay for a Tech to come out if I want the problems with the panel resolved.For being at least twice as expensive per month as other providers, you get absolutely nothing for that money. I was very happy with the service quality on the instal, but the customer service on equipment issues is abysmal. Certainly not worth $55 a month.

Absolute Nightmare to deal with. I have spent hours of wasted phone calls trying to get my resell to work. The people on the phone are absolutely useless and cannot seem to get my account corrected and when it came time for install the technician saw the existing system and threw his hands up and left because the office botched all of the paperwork. I am so over this company its pathetic.

The techs. Werel a little earlier than time appointed which I appreciate.They were courteous . After necessary exchanges they promptly started work. I did not observed any wasted time. They patiently explained contractand answer questions. They get an A.

Do not trust ADT sales reps. My elderly mother is is being held to an ADT contract she did not sign. The sales rep filled it out and signed her name. You should worry when you do not see a single name of business owner. ADT is impossible to deal with. They are a huge corporation that with absolutely no integrity or accountability.

Bad experience from day 1 surveillance cameras installed, neighbor tried to sue us and costs us over $6K - legal department for ADT did nothing to help us. We left equipment at home told could not take with us after paying up front close to 4K in costs out of pocket. Moved and now have to pay them $700-800 to pay off our contract with no surveillance. Another option was to buy another 3 year contract with free equipment. We already paid a year for horrible wifi cameras.

From the first phone call with a sales representative giving me the overview of services and three days later when my service and equipment was installed I noticed how professional the technician was not only with his tasks at hand but is explanation of the system and what and why he doing to get the system up and running. To my surprise he left me his cell phone number and name in ase I had any issues that I was not able to work through.
