I purchased some infants acetaminophen and it turns out it expired in February!!! It is NOT safe to give anyone none the less children expired medicines! Very disappointed! Those in a pinch and running to the dollar store for pain meds (like myself), be aware and careful!Update. My husband also stopped by the dollar store & bought a Pepsi and Beef Jerky.. the Jerky expired in Sept. of 2020 and the Pepsi expired last month.. is Dollar General selling all expired everything a thing I don’t know about!? This is not ok!

We Went into purchase Soda, Candy & chips because the Grocery Store down the Way was so busy on a Friday Afternoon. This Store is Jammed Pack. Its Too Small for the items in this Store. I think its Unfair because if a Fire occurred that Store would go up in Flames Quickly and what gets me this store was just built a few Years ago ... the Staff is nice its Just too over packed.

Disorganized DG with items strewn on the shelves and in the aisles. Only person to ask for help was behind the register handling a long line of customers.

Be sure to wear a mask... otherwise the old cashier will get you like she got my husband! (He has copd and literally cannot breathe if he wears a mask, hence why he wasnt).

Staff is friendly, usually has low wait times at check out

Quite a pleasant store to visit. The store is better organized and the staff as usual are very nice. Easy to find what you want when time is short. I always seem to spend more than I intend when I visit here.

I was surprised that this was fairly a new store. I was looking for 2 things and they didnt have neither one. Went to another DG and they had what i needed. It wasnt that clean as well. The man cashier didnt know nothing that i ask him. Wasnt happy at all. Will not be going back to this store.

Could be a nice store with a few things done to it, mainly electronic opening doors would be the first thing. The way it is now as youre exiting with your buggy you have to push against the door to get out or you have to step out open the door for yourself and pull your buggy out the door. Female employees were friendly and nice.

It’s a great location, the prices are reasonable with quick friendly service. Most of the time the store is well stocked with the merchandise they carry.

The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Need I say more. Looks like they never get cleaned or repaired. I dont recommend using them. The water for the faucet doesnt even work.

The lovely Blonde lady that cashed me out was amazing. She was friendly, she could multitask AND she was genuine. Much more pleasant than my initial perception as I entered the store..its an amazing thing when your employees dont hate their job and even better when they seem to enjoy it...but it should never interfere with the customers experience. It is still a place of business and should be operated as such...

The gentleman was very polite and professional. I have just moved here. Nothing like the stores in Harrisonburg VA. Great job.

Dollar general on Virginia av. Is a mess, almost all halls are allways blocked with merchandise, cashiers are not well trained, if you want to use general dollar digital coupons there is always an issue and the coupons doesnt apply as they have to. The managers also they do not know how dollar general digital coupons work.

Actually a decent international section for a discount store

Location, location, location. I like that its located conveniently located near my home on the north end of Harrisonburg. The store has plenty of parking. There is a Redbox in front the store.The store since remodel looks great. People are friendly. Its a quiet, quick in and out shopping experience we all can appreciate when in a hurry or grabbing some last minute things. Yes, they have a restroom as well. I love what friends and I call the latina isle. It has Mexican candy and munchies that we remember and loved as a kid.When shopping Dollar General, id come here.

So i went today with the kids and they were picking up some toys so i walked to the second ale to get something then we checked out next thing i know the cops wont let me leave the store saying that i left the kids alone they kept me for about an hour investigating me the kids freaked out i was late got in trouble for no reason thanks dollar general employees of this store for being so stupid because i was couple feet away from the kids and i was talking to them the whole time which was less than 2 minutes smdh.
