Excellent gaming and hobby store! In fact one of the only gaming and hobby stores that carry both board games and video games.The events nights are fantastic and I hope they continue even through this pandemic craziness we are all dealing with.The store is clean and the employees friendly.Kind of wish the outside didnt look so rough but not enough to affect my going.

I went there with my grandson and I was amazed at the variety of old and new games and other items game like for sale, great environment wonderful staff theyre very friendly very knowledgeable I enjoyed myself there and yes Granddad did pick him up a game and by the way Ive been a Zelda and Link fan from the beginning.I would go there for all your gaming needs and if they dont have it, you probably dont need it. Lol!

This place is great! Helpful and smiling (if not masked) employees, very chill ambiance, their AC works in the summer and the heat in the winter nothing has that old cardboard cat pee smell . Most of regulars that congregate there are super nice and nearly as knowledgeable as the staff as well! I couldn’t think of a location more comparable to heaven on Earth. It would be hard to think of a better name than “Oasis”because it truly is like walking into an unfathomably refreshing local in downtown HBurg! Way to go GO staff y’all rock!

Always friendly staff with a lot of space to game. I wish they had less collectible dust collectors and more board games or minis available. Board games on Wed nights are a blast and I love the magic and war hammer groups

They have a great atmosphere but we didnt have as many options when it came to cards my boyfriend was looking for. If youre into MTG or DND, its awesome, but he was trying to get info on some Pokemon cards. A customer nearby who heard his question seemed to know more about it than the staff. Which is fine, but it would kind of be the place to get information like that, I would think.

Love this place! They always help you out when you come in and they literally push for you to use discounts. This place always makes you want to come back again. They definitely treat their customers like family and friends and its appreciated.

Great store, lots of product. I live in Roanoke and have a great store there that I can go to, however I like to spread the love to some businesses trying to keep gaming up. That being said, I was never greeted when I came in and no one ever asked me if I needed any help. Seems like a great store but I don’t want to chase you down to give ya money.

Great place, lovely atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. Only con is the game selection is lackluster, there arent many but youll still find a gem here and there. To compensate for that they have EVERYTHING else for your gaming related needs. Board games, merch, pop figures, action figures, mini statues, cards of every Form, dice etc etc etc etc, it doesnt end, I spend a Lotta days just looking at the selection. The rewards program is cool too, takes a while to get the points and the rewards are interesting but its nice, overall great place, stop here when you get the chance.

This is a great store with super helpful and nice staff. The gentleman working the cash register went out of his way to help me find what I was looking for. For anyone into tabletop games or card games, this is a wonderful store.

Passionate people holding on to the old ways. Found my favorite original Nintendo game. A wide variety of video games from NES to current games. Several card games and Mangas. Lots of action figures and merchandise. A must visit for gamers old and young.

Great atmosphere for fans of sci fi, magic the gathering, warhammer, and all in between, but a very, very poor selection of Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar models, paints, books, etc. for avid fans of these hobbies. 15% off purchases does help but not enough to justify spending.

I always love going to Gamer Oasis, the place is amazing, it has pretty much everything a gaming and anime fan could hope for, and then some. And the staff is always so friendly and helpful. I also love being able to chat about various games and such with the staff as Im checking out, theyre amazing. Its definitely worth checking the place out if youve never been there, before.

Awesome place. Great location but nothing within a city block to grab a decent meal, unless you want to hit up BK two blocks down. Still a decent place to hang, sling cardboard cards or roll some die for a number of games. FYI Custard Ice Cream next door is a good go to if yer not after a meal.

A great place if you like Magic The Gathering and retro gaming. Has tons of space to play table top games but barely has a table top selection to buy from. Has the best DnD and Warhammer selection in Harrisonburg but really needs to upgrade its board game and table top stock, there are two friendly employees but the others are hit and miss and can come off as kind of snobby.

I recently took my PlayStation 4 here to be fixed for a hdmi port and and it was a total disaster. When I called the person I spoke to said he had the part in store and it wouldn’t take long then I preceded to drop of my PlayStation in hopes of it being fixed but then having to calling multiple times for updates because they didn’t reach back out to me for two weeks and when I reached out to he said that he had to order the part for my PlayStation because they didnt have them in store I was very patient no disrespect nothing of the sort mind you I dropped my playstion off on Nov 17 I then called again on December 15 and was told your playstion is in pieces and I wouldn’t be able to pick it up until the repair guy came back in and put it together and that the part was there it shouldn’t take long and then after all of that I received a call saying I’m sorry we can’t fix your plantation and it wasn’t until December 17 that I received that call I was lied to in being told that he already had the part there that it shouldn’t take long. It’s all a sham to me they wasted my time.

Gamer Oasis is a 1-Up. The staff rocks, they sell pieces of video gaming history and they make sure you leave the building with the best price possible. Not to mention, its practically the Holy Grail of card gaming. Seriously, if you love games, this is your place.

Staff was nice enough and they have a little bit of everything but not extensive amount of anything. They have more MTG cards and Pokémon. Some DnD and 40k.

I have been going to the Gamer Oasis since they opened. Many times for old video games, and repairs. I was recently going through my 20 year old Pokemon cards and wanting to get into a newer game, headed over to the Gamer Oasis to get some info.As luck would have it I headed over on a Friday night where there was a new Magic The Gathering card release and play! Everyone playing/hanging was very enthusiastic and helpful, and Josh, (who is an employee there) was super helpful. Going out of his way to play some games (even though it was super busy), share some welcome decks with me to get started, and explain the basics of gameplay. It was super fun! I bought a box and went home to strategize and open packs!Fast forward to Sunday. I went in to buy some singles and rare cards I thought would make my deck competitive for Tuesday game night. Josh made me a cool deck on the spot, then we sat down and played two games to test it out! I really appreciated all the effort and passion for the game, and am looking forward to game nights!Thanks!

Gamers Oasis is very accessible and community oriented. Dakota helped us pull together a birthday party for our 10 year old in a matter of days. It was affordable, and catered to the kids needs. The space was welcoming, and Sam was very present and patient with the kids in helping them learn to play the pokemon trading card game. All in all a great experience at Gamers Oasis, Id highly recommend utilizing their space!

Truly the must go to spot for any video game enthusiast or strategy game fanatic. This place has everything, its always lively and the workers here truly enjoy what theyre doing and it shows. I have never once had a bad experience here and Ive been coming here when it was formerly known as 8-Bit Games.Keep in mind that Gamer Oasis also does video game repairs and resurfaces any CD/DVD for $4 a disc! They can also change internal batteries for those old Gameboy Games! Id definitely recommend any Harrisonburg native to come down and take a look!

Lots of variety, and very cool games at amazing prices. From Nintendo, to PlayStation, to xbox, they had it all Super Mario Bros for the NES was only 5$. They had a bunch of table top board game stuff as well

A fantastic gaming store. They run roll playing game nights and carry everything you need to participate. There are also pop figures, plushies, and a selection of console platforms and games.

Bought a Ps4 from them and the disk drive button wouldnt work so I took it apart to fix it myself and the system had a nest of roaches inside it. Wouldnt recommend them.

I love this store! They have tons of classic games and even some really rare ones. The games are also in impeccable condition, as they clean them on site. They also do repairs and we have gotten some custom made controllers from there, too!

A fun little store to visit with my young son. They have a large selection of vintage video games and an area set up where you can play them. The prices seem reasonable, on the whole, for the vintage and sometimes collectible games they stock.

This is the place to be if you need a place to fit in. All are accepted, and if youve got a game you want to play... Magic, D&D, Pokemon, Warhammer... Board games of ALL kinds and skill levels- this is the place to be... Also video games (but thats not my thing).
