Honestly a great place for shopping and for Mexican cooking. Me and my family always go here and even though its a long drive and a long wait its definitely worth it. I would rate lower for the wait time but they are the best in town so thats expected

Kinda upset this particular time after buying Ground Beef at $8.31 yesterday to it out of Refrigerator it smelled sour meat turn brown and was not fresh I cooked it thinking it would be fine but it smelled even worse. I think it was repackage. I couldnt get back to the store 😩 so I threw it away...

My elderly mother went to get bread from the bakery, there were no tonsils available so she carefully grabbed the bread she wanted and the bakery lady Thelma yelled at her to stop and was being extra rude. There was no need for yelling and aggressive talking, especially to an elderly person. When we brought it up to a manager she dismissed my moms complaint and refused to give us the baker lady’s name. That’s nit good customer service.

Theres so much at this market, it is well stocked, from seafood to beef, raw and prepared, as in hot and ready to eat, fresh produce, and all kinds of other goodies. Great supermarket

My local super market. Sometimes packed but worth the wait. Fresh french bread..sweet bread...meats and seafood.

Really super good carne asada a must have for any bbq, along with the many kinds of fresh pork rinds.

On Friday, I bought a package of meat, carne Asada, so Pastor, chicken, when I got home, it was spoiled. The Chen smelled bad and carne asada was brown. Smelled bad. $14.99 wasted. I can’t believe they sell meat that is spoiled and Tag it like it’s fresh. Never coming here again.

This Northgate is a little bit out of our way (we have one literally right across the street from our home now) but the way this is stocked is great! We love it! We love the fresh produce, and we love the bakery. It is always very organized and well stocked.

Very well organized and as far as I can tell the shopping carts are being sanitized regularly. Love shopping there, I dont really go anywhere else for my food needs.

Been in Hawthorne 40 years and this is the first time Ive gone to buy chicken and it came with beak and claws. Awesome. Wifes reaction when I pulled it out the bag, PRICELESS!

I went to pick up some essentials, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, I needed some help picking out queso and carne, they pointed me in the right direction and helped pick out good ingredients. The produce was fresh and organized. I will be going back to shop for my groceries and carne.

I dont go to Northgate Market very often, but the last time I went I was very impressed with how they were handling all the coronavirus safety guidelines. Today was a different story. It looks like chaos inside. No one was social distancing there was no order, I dont know how many times I got bumped because people were walking so close to me. No one was respecting social distancing. I had a lady at one point that was like six inches away from me and I had to tell her to step away. It was extremely crowded and although there was someone at the door opening and closing it, they werent counting anybody. Im not sure what happened. I tend to go to markets in the evening when theres less people, but I figured since they had done such a good job last time. This time would probably be the same. Boy, was I wrong. I may not go back for a while because of this. Its not worth getting sick.

The pantry lady worker almost trow my sweet bread at me very rude. I am paying for it. Time I when 8:30 Monday March 1. Very rude latin Lady. The rest crew very nice.

Horrible experience I’m a single mother all on my own and I don’t have anyone to watch my child they were judging me for bring my baby with me he wasn’t wearing a mask mind you he is 18 months he can’t wear one because he is under 2 and will suffocate. They didn’t care. I understand keeping everyone safe I’m all for it but we all don’t have the luxury to leave our babies at home and they need to realize that they can’t wear mask they are too small

Ive been to other Northgate markets, but this, the bathroom smells awful and I had my mask on. I was disgusted with the bathroom.

This Store totally is a mess. No Manegement and no employees to help translate or assist customers at all that dont speak Spanish. Also the store is messy.

They are very clean Market are on top of customers that dont have their mask on appropriately and that dont have distance I really feel safe in shopping there their food is great everything is clean and safe I would chop from there on.

The only reason I give 4 stars is because it was so busy I had to park very far away and it was so crowded that it could be a pain to move around and navigate a shopping cart properly. This could be because it was Sunday but if you can look past those things its a great store with many specials and deals since they have their own brand of just about everything. Some things are a but pricey but you can definitely find saving if you know your stuff.

I was very disappointed. I bought some carnitas and they were over cooked. In addition, I bought some sweet bread, as I said, (sweet bread) and there was nothing sweet about it. Overall, their panaderia and restaurante have bad tasting items. I refuse to go to Northgate again.

The customer service is great as always.Shelves stay stocked, and prices are good not including the many deals youll find up and down the food Isles.Northgate Gonzalez also has bakery that would worry the nearest donut shop, the bread is such a delight.Lastly if you need a hot cook meal on the go, Northgate kitchen has a variety of fresh meals to choose from. Usually a bit busy but definitely the place to get meat for dinner or bbqs. The also serve hot foods that are ready to go with refreshing drinks. This market undoubtedly stands above other Mexican type markets.

I have been searching for some good molé sauce since I moved to Cali. Lo and behold, I found it at Northgate Market! Hallelujah! The heavens have opened up, and poured out a foodie blessing, just for me! Im on my way there, right now! I sure hope they have some. 😊

We come for the produce. Always fresh and priced right.I stopped buying fresh meat and chicken there because it was never fresh. Always smelled like it was starting to go bad. If I waited until the next day to use it, it smelled really bad.Everything else is great there. Try their fresh tortillas, chips and desserts... yum!!

I love Northgate! From the Ceviche to Hot Foods and the best Aguas Frescas... They have it all! The last time I was there, an amazing lady named Cindy was helpful and friendly, she took her time with me and helped me find everything I needed! She had great customer service and you can tell she really loved her job. I will always be faithful to Northgate!

I was in line to cash my check and they didnt allow more than 2 people per household in store,however I waited outside for my siblings and a racist security kicked me out of the property. There was an officer outside and I was explaining to them that I was waiting for my mother and they told me to go wait somewhere else. I was very unpleased due to the fact that It was my first time visiting Northgate market. 😪

Love all the fresh foods you can get here at Northgate. From fresh produce, to fresh meats, fresh deserts at the bakery, fresh soups an all the stuff at the deli too. Plus they have a little bit of everything else too

I like the store lay out. The bakery always has a crowd since everything is freshly made. The food menu is fabulous. Everyday they have a special & my kids love the tamales & mini bolillos.
